Remember: if you say "roll initiative" when mugging someone, it's not a crime, it's a LARP

“my lord?”
“yes?”
“another sod has reblogged one of your postings with the tag ‘lady knight.’ what should we do?”
sigh
“i tire of this... let us spar a while and it will be forgotten.”
[image description: two photos of the same composition. op sits in an ornate wood and green velvet chair. they are wearing metal armor over black clothes. the background is dark green drapery, with a faux fur rug on the floor. op is white with long straight brown hair tied back. in the first photo they look off to the left, holding a sword across their lap. in the second photo they lean forward with their elbows on their knees and look seriously at the camera. end image description.]

Improve your LARP by building a fully functional guillotine for background detail.
And hey! After you’ve finished the LARP, you don’t need to dismantle your guillotine. Maybe you could find another use for it? I don’t want to suggest anything, but I’m sure you could.
Hey, fun fact, did you know Jeff Bezos has enough money to personally end homelessness in America by simply buying every homeless person a house and still be in the top ten richest people on earth? Just an asid.
Anyway, build a guillotine for your LARP. If you can think of other things to do with it, that’s on you! I’m just suggesting you do it for a LARP!

Another interesting type of medieval headwear is open hood. As it shows from its name this hood has an opening on the front side. In historical fashion open hoods are mostly have short collar and belong to women costume. Of course in fantasy style you can use different designs as you want.
First pattern has wide hood so its front edge along the face could be bound inside out. At medieval illustrations we can see a lot of hoods like this in various colours. I've seen different interpretations of it in reenactment - mostly from one or two layers of wool and less with linen lining. These open hoods are cute and pretty, especially with a long tail.
Second type of open hoods has buttons on its collar. This way it can be more usable. Also buttons are goes as additional decoration. They can be made from metal, cloth or both of them. I like this type more because it's practical and can be weared in different ways.
Open hood can be a nice part of your costume, both pretty and cozy. Also it looks really good with additional layers of fancy headdresses made from linen or silk.
(by the way, blue open hood and the one with purple lining are available for purchase. you can find them in my shop or insta page)

deeply missing sparring with an opponent who fights back T_T my pillow can’t make witty comments back at me referencing the princess bride or monty python, and that is simply a tragedy.
[image description: three photos of similar composition depicting op from the waist-up. they’re wearing a muted green short-sleeve tunic belted at the waist, holding a rapier in the process of drawing it from its sheathe. op is white with wavy brown hair worn half up with long bangs framing the sides of their face.]
