So just finished watching the ep so review. Spoils ahead:

So the episode was ok to me, solid 6/10 one of the better episodes which since this was supposed to be an "extravagant" ep why does it got better quality than the main eps, idk Viv has her moments like this ep and other eps its a train wreck in writing ect.

Mammon worked on my nerves, from design to his movements, personality ALL of him was annoying, which props for an annoying Villian but its Villian I never want to see back again and he's hinted for some sort of return.

Side tangent: Mammon is like the how many-ith Villian to get a return ep/hint at one. It was 1st cherubs, then dorks, then stella/ice twink, striker/crimson now Mammon & according to the leaked storyboards a ghost guy that tries to talk IMP into off-ing themselves... its a flipping lot and cherubs & dorks seem to be forgotten dispite dorks knowing & having hard evidence they exist, flip Viv chill it with your Villian of the week cos its way too many now.

Anyway, Blitz didn't need to be in this ep besides the flashback. Ozzie got him to talk Fizz out of being Mammon's puppet but ultimately Ozzie spoke him out of it & gave him courage to quit/confront Mammon. Even Blitz being a bodyguard/killing people for Fizz could've been any imp. Blitz is starting to feel like Steven from SU, in every ep even tho the ep doesn't need him/ the episode surrounds topics a wee child shouldn't be in (i.e Lapis trauma dumping on Steven & he a child isn't really equipped to handle that situation).

My fave part of this ep was Ozzie and Fizz. Ya'll I legit prayed Viv wouldn't mess these two up and my prayers were answered. Absolutely a joy these two were. Fizz especially what a darling. Loved that small scenes with him and the deaf imp child, l dont know sign language but it looked genuine animated and was just sweet moments.

From their interactions, Fizz's panic attacks/self doubt felt & were genuine... I felt that as someone that has panic attacks from high stress on my studies/life. It was just handled well. Fizz feeling less than and needing to prove himself from 1. his past 2. his appearance, that accident affected his self image/worth so much (why I felt him forgiving Blitz was too hastily done but I digress) & 3. him doing this Mammon contest still to gain/earn Ozzie's love for him cos Fizz believes Ozzie only sticks around because of this fame Mammon gave Fizz. Ozzie finally saying what he loves about Fizz was lovely, wanted that in the 1st ep but ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. Their song was... I didn't like it BUT the message in it was beautiful. Lastly Fizz saying fuck you to Mammon from the courage/strength Ozzie gave him was a nice send off... also Ozzie saying he loves Fizz ah ngl that made me smile agh I just love them. I want to see them more than the Stolitz show but thats only a wish. Props Viv, you get 1 brownie point not messing this up.

Last findings, the ep was bloated as hell my soul Viv please stop cramming so much in an ep, this one is 30 mins long & yet still felt bloated. Pacing was a motherfuka damn it was bad & the swearing was jarring (its a Viv written ep I don't expect any less but still gonna point it out) and the comedy wasn't so prominent in this ep, Blitz/Mammon gave some comic relief but in the best and worst ways:

The way the VA delivered this line "to be fucked" made me laugh, the line is cringy but the delivery lol gold

Aand Blitz, my soul shut the fuck up & get out this ep. Last ep & this one he said something so agonizingly cringe I pulled my face

The world of HB is legit American hell or earth just painted red since Fizz named all these places in America just "hellified" where his fans come from.

And very last, congratulations Salem glad you got the cathartic send off you deserve from working under Viv, truly fuck you "Mammon" indeed :) also glad they credited you this time.

Hils Watches My School President - Ep 3 (Part 1)

So, to recap. The band club aren't allowed to date anyone unless they win a specific music award. Tinn, who is in love with the lead singer, has vowed to help them win under the guise that it will make the school look good and not at all because he wants to date said lead singer. Yep, this is exactly the sort of nonsense I signed up for

Tropes I need during this study week: Gun studying so late he falls asleep on Tinn's hand/arm, having to share a bed because reasons, one of them cooking for the other, cuddling on the sofa

However this is one of my pet peeve tropes when someone is doing something that is super important to them and they just treat it like a joke. Like he offered to wash his teacher's car and be a servant to her for the sake of his band. He knows he needs to pass this test to keep the band going and he's laughing at bad scores and asking to take a break after 5 mins

YJ Season 4 Arc Rankings Part 2

#3-Raquel’s Arc

I was curious how they were gonna do Rocket’s Arc since we don’t know as much about her versus the others so it kinda made senses that her arc focused on the overall plot with revealing the main villain as Lor-Zod and the alliance between the Justice League, Green Lantern Core, and New Genesis. So the main development we got from her was between her and her son as she learns to handle his autism. As well as her working with Orion and seeing how he process emotion and trying to understand him better. Love getting to see Razor get his cool Red/Blue Lantern armor and his Luscious Locks. Seeing him on YJ made me go watch the Green Lantern series just because he thought he was hot and I just wanted to know more about him. I like the little villain trio we got with Mantis, M’comm, and Lor-Zod, you can just tell they all hate each other. Shout out to Mantis to carrying the team the last bit and finding the phantom projector just out of spite because Lor-Zod thought he couldn’t do shit. Loved that our heroes actually got to fight the main villian of the season it really did help move the plot along. Very sad we lost Tomar-Re but was not expecting female forger to get his ring but I got pretty hyped from that. 

Rocket gets a 7/10

#2-Dick’s Arc

Let’s be real here this wasn’t really Nightwing’s Arc this was just the ending Arc. Dick got the first ep to flex his detective skills, connecting the dots to stuff we as the viewer already knew while everyone else looked at him like he was crazy. After that the show was like “Okay baby everyone knows who you are, step aside so we can connect the rest of these plots. I was pretty surprised by how easy it was for our heroes to get into the phantom, the harder part for sure was just trying to get Conor to come out. Definitely felt some jealousy from Lor-Zod when he saw his dad took Conor under his wing even though he was still gonna manipulate him. Switching gears to I think the Legion of Superheroes should think about giving Phanton girl a bell to communicate with because every time she opened her mouth she just caused more problems. I’m not trying to hate on the girl but she was asleep for more than half the season so she’s a little behind. It was really intreating not having the light be involved in the big final battle but shit those rough kryptonians worked fast, they were on earth for like 20 mins and there this close to killing superman. But of course everything worked out for our heroes with defeating the Zods and Conor remembering who he is. Seeing Icicle Jr at SuperMartian’s wedding legit brought tears to my eye because I was so happy he was invited. 

Dick gets a 8/10

#1- Conor and M’gann’s Arc

This was also pretty close between Dick’s arc and Conor and M’gann’s arc but conor and M’gann’s arc actually forces on it’s main characters and sets up the main plot for the whole season so it gets the top spot. Idk if it was just the fact that it was more then 2 years since I got to see some new YJ but I was just so happy to see our beloved characters back again. I love getting to see and learn about Mars and meeting M’gann parent and her little sister.  J’onn what’s your address again cause I gotta make sure you get your best uncle award for how you defended your nieces. Reliving the childhood between the M’orzz siblings was very emotional and the line of “I was just a child” I think really encapsulate what young justice is. Young heroes taking on burdens that is well beyond their years with this burden being racism. I thought the murder mystery was also clever with it taking place on a planet of telepaths but yet no one knows who did it. You can kinda tell that Conor wasn’t gonna stay dead with him being killed off in ep 4 of 26 but still not see him come back up from the hole was still heartbreaking. And to who ever idea it was to have the end credits just be M’gann sobbing at the foot of the alter they were support to be married at the next day, You are a foul foul person. 

Conor and M’gann gets a 8.5/10

Before having our son mine and my husbands sex life was completely normal, after having our son (who is nearly 3) i can barely stand the thought of being intimate with him even though i still love him dearly, i legit have absolutely zero libido for physical intimatacy (yet some how i am a smut writer), i have no idea whats wrong with me since my hormones have been tested and they are fine

taking on the role as a mother changes you in ways you weren’t even aware of. i’ve talked to other moms who have felt like they lost their identity after having kids and it’s so true.

social media makes motherhood into something so fucking beyond fake like it’s not even real. like you’re trying to fit yourself into a box of these moms on tiktok with their perfect tits and teeth and their houses are immaculate and they probably love sex! (bitches)

but what is real is losing your sex drive.

after having kids your body is NOT the same and idk about you but i never felt worse about myself the 2 ish years after i had my kids. i stopped wearing makeup, didn’t do anything with my hair and i wore the same outfits on repeat (oversized shirts and leggings what’s up)

to get myself out of the funk i read a self help affirmation book, listened to podcasts and honestly found this fandom- au started doing things that made ME happy not as a mom or a wife but ME as a person.

also if you are taking any depression meds or anxiety meds that will destroy your libido as well. if i think too much about sex i don’t ever wanna do it but if it’s random and a time limit (have to leave the house in 20 mins kind of a thing) i find it easier to get into it and enjoy it immensely.

rand & min: a self-fulfilling prophecy?

So, we’re told in text, by Min, that her viewings always come true. She definitely believes it. But the evidence we get in text is somewhat more fuzzy.

It seems to me that there are four broad categories of Min’s viewings:

Sure, seems like a legit prophetic viewing.

Requires some massaging of the events to make it fit the viewing.

Viewing only seems to come true because of active work by Min, or someone she has told about the viewing.

Viewing fails to come true but Min has forgotten about it and doesn’t mention the failure. (note: I do believe that, out of world, we are supposed to believe Min’s viewings are infallible and chalk up any changes in events to a mistake/changed mind by the author but I am noting this for completion’s sake)

Categories #1 & #2 are definitely the largest and I would definitely say that Min’s viewings are mostly reliable. Category #3 is actually the one that I find the most interesting. How much do Min’s viewings rely on her active participation to come true?

Because, for someone who firmly believes that fate is inevitable and there’s no point in fighting against it, Min shares her viewings and acts on them quite frequently (she’s always saying that she hates sharing her viewings but she also shares them constantly, so she’s another of the characters who lies a lot to herself, which is common with WoT characters). And a big example of that is her relationship with Rand.

In my reread, I’ve noticed that Min does not appear to love Rand ‘for’ any particular reason except that she’s certain that she is destined to love Rand due to her own viewing.

After having double-checking through her PoVs in the books, this is a sampling of her comments as she ‘falls in love’ but before they actually reunite in LoC:

Light, I don’t want to fall in love with a man that I’ve only met once, and a farmboy at that.

She goes on for a WHILE about how he isn’t the type of man she finds attractive while following the Pattern’s bidding to take care of him after the battle in Falme. She has one positive comment about him: he has silky hair. Two, I suppose, if you include, “you’re not bad-looking.” A glowing endorsement!

She compares the upcoming love square as “flies caught in a spiderweb”.

“I don’t know if I want you to choose me.”

She blames her being in Tar Valon in TSR as ‘doing fool things for a fool man’ (Rand has neither asked her to go nor even is aware that she has gone to the White Tower).

She blames him for her own choices: The Light burn Rand al’Thor for getting me into this.

Siuan: “Yet you do love him.” Min: “I don’t have any choice.”

re: being in a dress - Was this how Rand wanted her? Would he actually see her, if she wore dresses and simpered at him like a brainless chit?

There’s a whole tirade about how it’s his fault that she’s wearing a dress right now, despite it explicitly being Siuan’s fault. And she makes assumptions that he’s “staring at some Tairen woman with half her bosom exposed at this very minute”.

She wished they had never learned she was in love with Rand al’Thor. Sometimes she wished she had never learned it. A man who barely knew she was alive, a man like that. What he was no longer seemed as important as the fact that he had never looked at her twice, but it was all of a piece, really.

Burn him, if I’d never met him, I wouldn’t be in this pickle!

re: Leane flirting - If I could do that to one particular man, I’d be more than satisfied.

Now she was thinking about changing what she was, for a man.

She wished she knew how to make Rand look at her like those men were looking at Leane.

What she saw was always true. It always happened. She knew the same way that she had known the first time she saw Rand al’Thor that she would fall desperately, helplessly in love with him, the same way she had known she would have to share him with two other women.

-but she still had a personal goal. Making a man who had never looked at her twice fall in love with her before he went mad. Maybe she was as mad as he was destined to be.

Rand bloody al’Thor. Fall in love with a man, and you ended up doing laundry, even if it did belong to another man. When she marched into the kitchen to demand a washtub and hot water, she was snarling every bit as much as Siuan.

You’ll be whatever you think he wants you to be.

Before they meet up again in LoC, she doesn’t seem to know very much about him except that he was a shepherd (when she dislikes country-related things) and he’s “not bad-looking”, yet she constantly blames him for her own choices and makes assumptions about his personality that don’t match what the readers have seen in his behavior. Despite spending a winter in the same place in between TGH and TDR, she doesn’t appear to know him at all as a person. In all of her PoV chapters before they finally reunite in LoC, she’s named one positive quality about him: he has silky hair. That’s it. That’s all she’s got.

Yet she is so convinced that she is destined to love him -- desperately and helplessly -- that she talks herself into leaping into love without having a single reason for actually being attracted to Rand as a person (either physically or his personality).

All so that she can hurry on with: a. making him to love her back and b. clearing a path for herself by his side. Very pragmatic but not terribly romantic.

Now, again, from a pragmatic point of view, her actions do make sense -- she believes absolutely in her viewings and her viewings have told her that these three specific women will fall in love with Rand but she doesn’t know whether or not he will love them back. Obviously, being desperately in love with someone who doesn’t love you back kinda sucks.

But if Min had had all her other viewings but not the one about Rand’s three beautiful women, would she have considered herself ‘in love’ with him enough to go to him in LoC? The only reason she has given at this point for loving him is the viewing. How would her actions have been different if she hadn’t had the viewing and would they have ever ‘fallen in love’ at all?

We know that Rand is attracted to her, as well as to Elayne and Aviendha, because we have a sneak peek into his dreams. But we also know, because of his own destiny, that Rand doesn’t view himself as a desirable figure to get involved with and would never make the first move. And lots of people are attracted to people that they never actually pursue. Being attracted doesn’t inevitably lead to a relationship.

How would Min’s actions have been different if she hadn’t had that viewing?

She might not have tried to get close to Elayne if she didn’t have an extra reason to do so. Either way, Elayne wouldn’t have heard anything about needing to ‘share’ her husband but still would have learned of the idea of ‘sister-wives’ from Aviendha in TDR (so Elayne and Aviendha would still be on a relatively similar path if Min’s viewing were removed; I actually have Some Thoughts about Aviendha’s silver rings visions as well but the vibes on that are overall more positive because it actually pushes her away from Rand for quite a while and she’s forced to begrudgingly admit she likes him after being in his company for a book and a half. I think that it’s likely Aviendha and Rand actually could have gone through basically the same emotional journey in TSR/TFOH even if she hadn’t seen him in the silver rings at all).

Her love for Rand does feel to me like it was created by Min’s viewing, an odd little time-travel-esque paradox. She loves him because she saw that she would love him, but never actually does the emotional work of ‘falling in love’ with him.

In terms of ‘out of world’ reasoning (Doylist) for why Min has the viewing about Rand’s three women, I think it was likely the author trying to make it so that the reader wouldn’t be surprised by Rand ending up with all three women.

But it does (unintentionally, I assume) give a gloss of ruthless pragmatism to Min’s character, the way she is so focused on getting Rand to fall in love with her because she is certain that she’s destined to love him (there’s a strong Min/Mat comparison to be made in this regard, but I will get there in a few more books lol) rather than exploring her own heart and seeing if she actually DOES love him or if she can go against her own viewing. Instead, she takes it as a given and goes from there.

Rating every Eurovision final performance until I get bored (tw: opinions):

1) Austria : 9/10 not the greatest thing since sliced bread but a solid vibe, my kinda weird and pleasant musically, like the "ghostly" harmonies, scrarch my brain pleasantly, and as English lit student I appreciate poe.

2) Portugal: 5/10 not bad but legit don't remember anything and it just finished; piano riff sounded like I Will Survive by Gloria Gaynor

3) Switzerland: 4,5/10 feels very general-pop; good lyrics but the arrangement/melody makes me kinda too bored to really listen; formal line sounded like "Sk8ter boy" by Avril Lavigne

4) Poland (motherland, I'm so not proud, WHY): 4/10 song is generic summer radio pop, nothing original but honestly not the worst I've heard, tho I'm pretty sure I have heard a Latino/Spanish pop song at least very similar; also unfortunately heard fragments of this before and this performance is not too bad for her, at least she worked on it; why the dance solo (pun intended hehe) exists tho

5) Serbia: 6/10 man, the boi is pretty, but can he sing? Apparently not really 😬 visually interesting performance, auditorily not so much 😭 (dunno if it's a word). Points for originality tho, but will not stream.

6) France: 8/10 Strong vocals. Song is definitely not what I initially expected, which makes it more interesting. Really vibing. Honestly didn't find anything I didn't like aside from the length of her nails but their hers not my business. Maybe not "Eurovision crazy" enough to win but still love it

7) Cyprus: 3,5/10 pleasant voice but nothing special yet; song feels ESC-generic, don't like the falsetto high notes. Lyrics feel like AI generated broken heart song

8) Spain: 8/10 kinda arabic vibes? Great vibes, song very original, not my personal fave, but still amazing quality-wise imo.

9) Sweden 7/10 Loreen my girl this isn't Euphoria -level :( not bad, but nothing special, tho the singing is mostly amazing. Her nails are a safety hazard, sorry to the French lady.

10) Albania: 5,5/10 very Eastern vibe. Original enough, the main lady sings great, but the song doesn't really resonate with me so far. Don't like the dude.

11) Italy: 9.5/10 sounds like a generic pop but in Italian, and I like his bedazzled top. Ok, nvm, song is not groundbreaking but his voice makes up for it. Not sure if win material but "add to playlist material" for sure. Im pretty sure I've just heard "calzone" in there, prolly incorrect but don't care, extra point

12) Estonia: 9/10 not the most innovative but has 'something', like it so far. Would fit a fantasy soundtrack, maybe that's what has me hooked. The auto-playing piano cracks me up tho, same with the wrist-belts, but those take nothing from the performance.

13) Finland: 6/10 heard it all over Tiktok through last week and am fed up with it😬 is a vibe, but after too many times imo plain annoying. Points for the outfit, personally hate it but is already iconic. Unfortunately song is even more irritating live :/ but also frustratingly catchy, gonna be stuck in my head

14) Czechia: 7/10 was loving the slavicness, wish it didn't switch to English, ruins the vibe, also Female Power points. The performance doesn't give much to watch, but nice to listen to.

15) Australia: 8/10 yeah, never saw a dude in a car on stage before. I like the song very much, but not the most original in the genre. But, might be on of the best ones tonight.

16) Belgium 4/10 generic EDM pop, gives the same vibe as Be My Lover by La Bouche but worse and with Positive Message™️

17) Armenia: 6,5/10 pretty but? Im gonna forget about it in 5 mins or make it my personality for the next 10 days, but option 1 is more probable.

18) Moldova: 9/10 don't know what's going on but in a good way. I think this song may be doing to me what Chachacha was supposed to, tho it's not the greatest thing. (Got a bit bored in the edm interlude)

19) Ukraine: 3/10 feels like they knew what they wanted to say but unfortunately needed to make it into a song. Don't like it at all tbh, but organs in the background are cool.

20) Norway: 10/10 my fave!!!!! Haven't heard the beginning yet! Sounds like she has stage fright:( love tho pls win? Love how she looks like she's enjoying herself

21) Germany: 6/10 why is their leader cosplaying Vecna from ST???? Song stands out but, feels generic at the same time?

22) Lithuania: 6,5/10 life story but make it Disney soundtrack. Nothing we haven't heard on ESC before, but not bad. Pretty visual display .

23) Israel: 3/10 ummm no. Shame it isn't in a language I don't know, would like it much better. Like the voice, and the instrumentals at the beginning, but that's it. No, I didn't wanna see you dance. Choreo is nice tho.

24) Slovenia: 9,5/10 sounds like something I usually would like (i think(on second thought no, not really)) but I do. Guy has a good voice, love their energy, somehow they look friendly.

25) Croatia: 10/10 gay sailors who's mother bought a tractor? Eurovision at it's finest 😂 this one stands out like nothing else

I’m back home. I don’t really know what I expected from mum...but I’ll tell you what I GOT:

Motivation!

New goal: Stay the FUCK out of mum’s house.

It’s not that she’s ...... a terrible person or anything. Like... I honestly could’ve rolled much worse. She’s not like my dad. She’s not like my step dad. She’s not like a lot of people’s parents I know.

But she IS controlling. She IS confusing, oblivious, anxiety provoking, exhausting, LOUD, and just... unbearable.

I didn’t know how she’d react to finding out about my disorder. She was ... well, she was her, I suppose. She accepted what I said, but was totally unempathetic. Confused and didn’t really know how to support me. And I found that being there actually made ana worse, even harder to cope with. Because I had this new pressure to “prove” myself in front of my family, to “eat like an anorexic” and “act like an anorexic” and constantly like... the idea of even contemplating recovery around them was just exhausting, I’d be 1 step forward and 2 back all the time.

So I had to come home for a month anyway, because there’s no room there. I was on the couch the whole time. The idea is that they’re rearranging shit (was gonna happen anyway) and there will then be space. And if I can’t handle my shit then I will go and move in. But if I CAN handle my shit, I can stay independant.

 SO! MOTIVATION! Stay...the fuck....out of there.

While I was there I made a couple steps. Firstly, when I called mum I actively shifted into a recovery mindset. Like, nothing...... happened that day. I was just ... so exhausted and ready to try to move towards something better. First it was tiny tiny baby steps. Three meals a day. Of ANY size. Got that down. Then as I neared coming home, I started to think “Well, if I can get up to 1500 cals I can legit go back to exercising properly, then that way I can placate ana. It’s still disordered, but it’s harm reduction, and it’s WAY  better than starving.”

So yesterday after I got home I managed to hit 1500 cals. Reactive hunger kicks in. And I knew it was coming, so I just accepted it and told myself “Look, it’s a reality, it’s short term, it’s just building my strength, giving me fuel to exercise.” and I stayed calm. My friend (who doesn’t know abt my disorder) asked me to go out to dinner. I said “yes” and had my first REAL meal in AGES. And I didn’t even freak out, didn’t leave any leftovers, just ... ate it. Craaaaazy.

New rule: I count to 1500 cals, minimum, but then I stop counting. Reactive hunger’s my reality, and 1500′s the min not the max. I have to count so that I don’t undershoot it, but if I obsessively keep track of every cal I’ll just freak myself out, so it’s 1500 then it’s just tick or cross, hit the mark or missed it. I’ve NEVER done anything like that before, it feels like progress.

New rule: Don’t eat when full. No matter what. Reactive hunger’s intense, but allowing it to force me to overfill only leads to bingeing, which leads to freakouts. Better to tollerate the hunger until I know I can handle eating again. Leaves me feeling in control.

I’m trying really hard not to overdo it. I’m not tracking nutrients - I figure I need EVERYTHING because malnutrition. So I’m just going with what my body wants. But I’m also checking in with my disordered voice regularly, like, negotiating shit. Because I know that I can’t just decide that everything’s fine... I have to make a truce. Hence the exercise. So like... I’m still freaked out by oils. Fine, I can have a sandwich without butter. Long term that doesn’t hurt me to make that concession. I can challenge that later. Old me would go “No, you have to do it PERFECT or NOT AT ALL” and freak out. I’m trying to find the middle ground.

It’s not easy...

But I really REALLY want to stay out of mum’s house. And the hospital. And ideally the morgue.

I do not want to regain weight. I want to keep losing. I want to keep goals. I want to keep control. I’m not yet ready to give up everything, and it feels like... anorexia’s been this HUGE crutch of mine for ages. If I throw it away, I just fall over because that’s what crutches are - they help you stay stable. So I’m not looking to fix it today. I just want it to stop killing me right now.

Feels like progress.

Why did I have to get ill today :( always on a fricking Sunday or even better yet… a bank holiday -_- so the chemist won’t even be open tomorrow. Tescos shuts in 20 mins so yeah. I can’t get my sachets that help. Why I don’t have 3 boxes at home at all times just incase is beyond me. I just don’t wanna waste our day today. He’s going home tomorrow for the whole day to play games. Which is fine but means today is our day. And i was having sucha good time with him all morning. I was super duper haps. But the stupid water infection ruined ittttt, I woke up like oh shit not this, but then when we acc got up I was fine ?? And ngl I’m confused why he wanted to fuck me in the morning after I said I was ill.. not complaining, coz he was right, I wanted it. I just didn’t think he’d wanna come near me. Then he’s posting on tumblr about eating pussy and oh my god that’s all I want rn. I want him to eat me out but while I’m like this ?! Doesn’t seem right. It’s unfair that he gets me so horny when I shouldn’t be !! I just wanna be better to so we can fuck around some more. If I’m not gonna have him tomorrow then I wanna make the most of today ! But I should probably take heed of what he said yesterday night. It’s not the only time he’ll be here. We’ll have more whole days to spend and chill together. I need to not get hung up on it. The situation couldn’t be helped. I just wanna be betterrrrr. I’m mostly annoyed coz the little time was going so so well and it just got halted coz of this. And HE put me in the mindset ?!

Idk how he knew the perfect timing. I was laying there, cum’ed out and just fucked generally. My head was in the ditzy way and she was fighting to come out but I was so out of it I could barely stay with it. Then he started stroking my nose, that was it. I had to control over it. I couldn’t even partially suppress it. The whole rest of the morning he took care of her. Cuddles, food, treats, games. He didn’t say a single thing wrong. Just wanted it to last longer. It’s exciting to see things going so well in that area. And what’s even more odd is I noticed he was my FP this morning. Before all of that. Before we fucked. Idk why but it shifted back and that’s defo made me happier.

I wonder how he felt about it. Bless him he kept asking if we was doing okay and enough. Is he comfortable with it ? Like just the actual fact of it ? (Omg be legit just asked again if it was alright !! He’s so cute) but yeah Ik I’ve given him some anx about it by having these standards and things not going so smoothly previously and again what I’ve said. But I just hope excluding all of that, the he generally is okay with that whole side to me. I’ve realised how not-normal it is when I told Alex about it. And I don’t think Jordan ever expected for me to have this part of me. Idk if he even knew fully before he asked me out. So I hope it’s not some late coming baggage he has to deal with. But then again (think logically Georgia) he wouldn’t be putting all this effort in if it was an issue would he ? He clearly wants to help and be apart of it. So I shouldn’t stress. I’m lucky to have him. Even with all the meh of being ill today I’m still super happy and overall sitting around an 8-9. The only reason I’m not a 10 is because of the pain and fear of not having anything sexual happen for the rest of the day. But today has been super good. Having him round like this just makes me so excited for us to get our own place. I’ve already started saving and kept that money in an inaccessible account so I can’t touch it for 2 years. But it’s what I want and I’m happy I’ve started working for it. I’m probably gonna but half of my pay increase into it too when I start my new job. I wanna surprise him in a few months or a year and say “look what I’ve been doing for us”. Gets me all excited and giddy thinking bout it !!

Okay I’ve decided to do a single rec after I finish one novel hahaha because if I wait to get around to it all it’ll never happen! Anyway because @sarah-yyy​​ has been reading it and I’ve gotten a lot of asks/replies on this, I’m just going to do one huge list for one of my faves so everyone knows what’s going on and where to find things XD

Summary: 

This is set in a historical setting where men can marry other men, but it’s usually reserved for sons who were not borne by the official main first wife of the patriarch of the family, i.e. a son born by a concubine in a family may be forced to marry a man to keep him from being able to become the next family’s patriarch for example. This is because any family’s next leader needs to be able to have children with a wife who married in as a zheng shi (lawful wife), and not a ce shi (second wife) or any other concubines/mistresses etc. Most of these men who marry other men have to take them as their zheng shi and lawful spouse in a sense, and the same goes for the royal family.

The story starts with third prince Jing Shao, who was forced to marry Mu Han Zhang, a Marquis’ second son, by the Empress and Emperor, thereby officially and effectively cutting him out of the race for the throne. He’s mocked by the public as everyone knows what this means, and for the next 10 years, he neglects Mu Han Zhang, blaming him for his predicament, and deliberately showers his three other concubines with affection in front of him, but 10 years later, when Jing Shao is accused of treason, everyone leaves him except for Mu Han Zhang. They are chased to the edge of the cliff by soldiers, and Mu Han Zhang dies in his arms having taken an arrow meant for him earlier, and Jing Shao jumps off the cliff with his dead body, and promises that if there’s a next life, he will do everything Han Zhang says, and love him.

He wakes up immediately on the night of his marriage with Han Zhang, and realizes that he’s been given a second chance to make everything right. Han Zhang is definitely afraid of him, humiliated and angry when he first wakes up after how rough Jing Shao was with him earlier on their wedding night, and he has no memories of their past life. Jing Shao then sets to SHOWER HAN ZHANG with affection, love and basically everything, because he realized that this is the only person who stayed by his side until the end, and then he falls in love with Han Zhang properly this time, and also deals with every single person who maligned and schemed against him in his previous life, with Han Zhang by his side.

Characters:

1. 景韶 Jing Shao - 3rd Prince and is the first out of his three other brothers to be given a title 成王 (cheng wang). He’s referred to as 王爷, and also 小勺 (xiao shao) by Han Zhang. Went out on his first war when he was 14, and was thus given a title before any of his brothers. He’s known for being a merciless, cold and fierce army general/commander, but this was before his second life with Han Zhang, where he puts on like his doting mode and is basically a dumbass XD who listens to Han Zhang with a lot of trust, which is cool and all.

He marries Han Zhang when he’s 19, and in his first life he was very reluctant and resistant, and neglected Han Zhang for 10 years, until he was charged with treason and hunted down. 

In his first life he wanted to snatch the throne, even from his blood-related brother Jing Chen, but more out of spite than anything else because he felt he was dealt an unfair hand by having to marry Han Zhang. Not only that, but Jing Shao is not his father’s favourite son, and he always felt that the emperor was biased against him. Anyway, a huge accumulation of daddy and anger issues, which is fair.

When he realizes that Han Zhang died for him, he decides he will be good to Han Zhang if they are reborn in their next life.

2. 慕含章 Mu Han Zhang - The 2nd son of Marquis Bei Hou’s, born to a concubine. He’s called by his 表字 which is 君清 (jun qing) by Jing Shao. Official First Wife Bei Wei Hou-furen and her son (who is in line to inherit the Marquis title from his father) has bullied him all his life, and wanted to push him into greater desperation by marrying him to Jing Shao, knowing he will suffer at the hands of the supposed merciless/heartless wangye. He has a weak body because of an accident when he was younger, and in his first life he was really sick after being neglected for 10 years, and knowing this in their second life, Jing Shao does everything he can to take care of him.

He is incredibly smart, has a brain for business and sales, and is also very good at handling people, especially scheming ones. He aids Jing Shao in the beginning of their second life, and then Jing Chen later as well, as both brothers begin to fight to put Jing Chen on the throne, against the 1st and 4th Princes. Is an incredibly good tactician in war as well.

3. 景琛 Jing Chen - 2nd Prince, Jing Shao’s blood related older brother who is handsome af too. His title, given later in the novel, is 睿王 (rui wang). He was misunderstood by Jing Shao in the first life as Jing Shao thought it was his brother who led to him marrying Han Zhang, and because he’s not very good at expressing himself and shows his concern to Jing Shao by nagging at him, Jing Shao always thought he hated him. In their second life, Jing Shao already knows that Jing Chen loves him and did a lot for him in his first life, and so trusts his brother and supports him right off the bat, because Jing Chen is indeed the most suited person for the throne.

He has a wife and a concubine, 3 sons and 2 daughters at this point. He ends up helping Jing Shao a lot, and when he realizes that Han Zhang is way more adept at politics and the whole scheming thing than Jing Shao is, he begins trusting Han Zhang a lot more as well! There’s a surprise with Jing Chen hahaha which I loveee and could see, but wasn’t sure until they confirmed it in the last few chapters AHAHAHAHA.

Other Notable Characters:

1. Song Ling Xin (Second Wife) on the left, and two other concubines on the right

They’re pretty much vying for Jing Shao’s attention, but at this point apparently he hasn’t slept with any of them before. Song Ling Xin is the daughter of the Military Department’s Head Song An, and Jing Shao married her initially out of interest. The right most concubine (I forgot her name oops) was a gift given to him by his oldest brother, the 1st Prince. The two of them played a huge role in Jing Shao’s downfall back in his first life, and so in his second life, he especially detests Song Ling Xin. Plus the three of them keep bullying Han Zhang in the beginning, but thankfully Jing Shao is like: “Anything my Jun Qing wants”. They don’t stay around for long either, watch as Jing Shao gets rid of them like he’s swatting flies.

2. Xiao Yuan & Zhou Da-Ge

This is another male couple who’s been married for 7-8 years if I recall. Xiao Yuan is one of Jing Shao’s important allies and friends in the second life, because in Jing Shao’s first life, this was one of the only young officials in court who spoke up for him when the accusations of treason came about. Zhou Da-Ge is his husband, who is a cook running a restaurant in the city. Whenever Zhou Da-Ge bullies Xiao Yuan in bed a little too much, Xiao Yuan punishes him by making him wear colourful clothes out (pink, bright yellow, purple, etc.) and thus he has a reputation for being eccentric and a weirdo, but oh well, all for love.

3. Gu Huai Qing

One of Jing Shao and Jing Chen’s most powerful allies, and he becomes blood-sworn brothers with Jing Shao without realizing who he is. Later he takes a liking to Jing Chen.

Jing Shao is like, he does a 180 entirely and he is very cognisant of all his faults and what he did wrong previously, and how badly he treated Han Zhang, so he legit forces his brain to go “I will listen to Jun Qing from now on” and he really sticks to it!

Loves kissing and teasing Han Zhang, but doesn’t force him into bed after their wedding night, and instead goes to Xiao Yuan and asks for tips on how to make his partner feel less scared about sex

The both of them end up with a pet tiger?!! That’s called Xiao Huang (little yellow) LMAO

They nap together a lot which I love <3333

Jing Shao knows he’s bullied at home, so when they go back to the Marquis Bei Hou manor, he holds Han Zhang’s hand in front of everyone to let them know Han Zhang has someone to back him up

Brings Han Zhang to war because he “cannot concentrate if Jun Qing isn’t with me at all times” - and asks for special permission to do so

Han Zhang notes that since he married Jing Shao, as the ‘wife’ he is supposed to serve Jing Shao, but it’s always Jing Shao serving him - Getting water for him, bringing him to baths, putting clothes on for him, putting food in his plate if it tastes nice, massaging his back and waist etc. - and best is he doesn’t have to deal with any in-laws?!! HAHAHA

Jing Shao gets revenge on those who hurt Han Zhang when he was younger for him, and the outcome is pretty hilarious but well-deserved

Totally handling a finale normally

Yes im rewatching again. Some thoughts:

*While I’d put nothing past the council, I dont think its a trap. They dont seem all that well run themselves, so vague competence is well regarded. They would assume Laszlo would follow Nadja, that would maybe separate Nandor from them but the council doesn’t seem to know Colin died either. Also Donal being chil painting Nandor whom they all mocked and groped ‘dead’ last ep proves to me at least the belief the special guests knew he was faking, cuz he was throwing a tantrum loud enough humans could hear it let alone vampires. So while you’d go oh they promoted Nadja for being ruthless in killing him, nah those vamps knew he was alive and having a fit. To separate all the vampires only works if you knew Colin would be reborn and vampires dont seem to know dick about energy vampires. Think how big that library was...like...stories of books. 2-3 pages total on energy vampires. Even filtering out porn thats a pretty small chunk.

*Srsly Girly Jim, Barren and their son the hell hound is the spin off we deserve (with an animated Sam the Cat familiar interlude). You’d think they’d be the weirdest weirdos there but they were just chillin.

*So... Grandpa Walt doesnt make the Grounded for Life portrait? Also if the 2016 painting is accurate Donal only became a vampire recently...or has some day walker ability.

*Those who said hey maybe the guide knew about Colin and set them up....no. Cuz he clearly slimed from tummy to room there was a clear trail. And he couldn’t have been down there long because even for being drama queens they would have had to have heard his crying eventually. No one incl Guillermo heard it while packing. Laszlo makes reference a few times to his totally not grieving process that he hasn’t allowed anyone in the basement at all, let alone to see his body because he hasn’t said goodbye yet.

*Guillermo: bro what with the gloves? They went from fingerless to full thru the season and they are never explained and dont seem to make any sense. Also fighting in suspenders? Dedication. He clearly went shopping when promoted.

*I think Laszlo’s motivation is legit as he said no hiding. People rightfully dont trust him now after his double cross but he seemed legit upset, and only changed when Nadja told him they’d rule the world. I also genuinely believe he did not go down to the basement til they were leaving to say goodbye. Someone said the witches hat is a big tip off and I agree. Nadja’s mad he fucking has it, I dont think he’d fake out packing it if he werent intending to go. Also he ONLY kept 3 boxes of porn lololol...so most of his shit is on its way with her. When this aired last night I first thought Colin may be WITH him, as he doesnt allow hugs and has the human food (of course no one allowed hugs). Boy that was some shit...Barry (from Archer) level double cross there bro.

*Laszlo was friends with Walt Whitman and apparently went out with 3 whores and 2 man whores the ‘afternoon’ his dad died. But he cared anyway...in a prior ep (explaining hypnosis didnt work) he references a book by his father’s ashes.

*The Guide so far hasn’t been shown to double cross so I dont think she faked Nandor out with a fake trip. Nandor is an idiot but even he knew he had to cross the ocean to come to America. I didnt catch what she said about the coffin ‘international bill of...’ but its shown they can do that easily by ship. Someone said Nandor’s train only goes 45 mins lololol. But we dont know the details...he literally didnt know anything south of delaware existed...and Laszlo thought the south (devils cross roads) was in California. I assume there was some kind of US/South America/Canada based plan then they’d ship over to Iran/Iraq and go wherever on that side of the earth. I still think the Guide did the planning, or at least the rough idea of it. He clearly did some of it (jansport). I think he basically just told Guillermo okay u make plans for u to come now. And Guillermo had, so if it was a ruse I’m pretty sure he would have pointed that out before they were to set off.

*Dry as a nuns doodaa (lololol). Nadjas scrotum joke was pretty good too. Barren must’ve feasted good today.

*So they all blurt out there plans: Guillermo says hey we fam, Nadja says she has a promotion lets go, Laszlo says fuck off with england, Nandor’s gonna get it on traveling the world. The guide also seems shocked Nadja has been given that offer so again doesnt jibe with a conspiracy.

*I know ppl wanna murder Laszlo rn (Nadja will too dont worry) but his speech about why he hates those classist dicks is very sweet. Also kinda funny cuz up to lately he was that way about basically everyone but Nadja. He looks down on Nandor for being simple but brute force, Guillermo for being a lowly familiar, Sean for being an annoying neighbor. Buuuut he grew. Sweet dumb baby he is.

*I’m kinda jealous Nandor has better hair than me. Also I very much want all his lil cape coats from this season including this one. I cant get over it kinda mimics an orange white fur coat I made a few years ago. Now I want a red one like from the first ep.

*Nandor assumes Guillermo ran to Nandor’s room cuz its a bigger and better room. I personally think that was his snap. Poor lil Memo spent all season just literally proving himself time and again to all of them but especially Nandor (how the fuck did I forget about the sire in my early recap?!? Ugh) and they’ve all at best patted him on the head (for the most part just open hostility instead but ya know). They always thought of familiars as basically slaves, less than others. Less than other humans! Less than werewolves!!! But Nandor kinda treated him like a sweet lil hell hound. This season I really think Guillermo was like ‘okay they wont make me a vampire but say Im part of the group so I’ll prove it’ and he fucking did!!! And they were all like ‘meh’. I mean in the fucking sire ep he literally says he can save them cuz if the sire dies they all die, and they literally scream at him to fuck off for being so uppity. So hes like ‘okay bye’ and they all shut up real quick.

Take away the fact he realized in the Cloak of Duplication ep he actually likes likes Nandor and that poor lil bastard has had a rough go of it. So now their all like ‘bye’ after literally yelling at him yet again and he is fucking OFF. U know when he references the day when his master doesnt care about him anymore well *fridge with stakes and garlic juice*. THAT DAY FUCKING CAME.

*”You’re only alive because I let you live...” I got a chicken or egg thing here. Guillermo is very fucking skilled at killing vampires (he killed you....gene after all) like literally throwing stakes accidentally and hitting their pics and stuff. BUT Nadja basically throat jabbed him earlier this ep, and Laszlo flips him in the coffin and defeats him with super speed at the end. Maybe he went easy on them. But in the fight with Nandor he only gets ahead because he ‘tricks’ him about the sword and Nandor looks away. Now Nandor is an idiot of course BUT I kinda think he let him win. Someone pointed out he threw that guard guy at the gym like he was a tissue...and Guillermo didnt cave the wall in when he was pushed. If he didnt let him win, I dont think he went full on at him...he could have thrown him so he landed outside the house if he wanted.

Buuut you could say the same of Guillermo. Did he go easy on him? He had the cross just hanging there. He didnt start with it.

*Does anyone really believe Nandor actually had a plan? I dont. I was convinced he’d leave him behind. But he said in Cloak he loved feats of strength with his men and that seemed to be an appeal of the cult. The only time he ever gave real kudos to Guillermo before was when he massacred the vampires at the theatre. In the wellness center he could have easily pulled away. GUILLERMO LETS GO IN THE HULA HOOP ROOM AND HE JUST WAITS. Cmon that fight got him hot and made him respect Guillermo, thats why he offered that. And I think he meant it. He really for the rest of the ep treats Guillermo like an actual equal, as he plans to make him be in Iran.

*That lil giggle when he thinks hes condescending to Guillermo about the hypnosis is like the gayest thing hes done to date. And he jerked Laszlo off last season. The minute Guillermo puts him in that headlock...thats when he started planning Im telling u. But if he hit John I dunno may have really went for it then had the cross not come up.

*This bitch didnt remember his name for 11 years, thought it was Greenburg when hypnotizing him. Didnt know Gail’s last name. Yeah hes thought some shit thru before this night.

*He packed those dolls and called him Nandor omfg. AND NANDOR THINKS HE LEFT HIM I MAY DIE. I srsly picture next season opening with him going back and opening the bag and finding that and realizing okay this wasnt done on purpose.

*Nadja’s peace out is fucking funny. I think she literally is the least sentimental. But if Laszlo even said goodbye to Nandor we werent shown. But he DID know that Guillermo and Nandor were going. This is a dif day...I can picture him ignoring them all excitedly prattling on but he knew. And u wont convince me it wasnt revenge for how Colin Robinson was treated. But I think he fucked over Guillermo strictly to protect his Nadja. Which boy does that say something about how he feels about him. Like yeah he just destroyed Guillermo’s hopes and dreams, but he did it in such a fucking englishman way...just like he you are good at what u do even tho i act like I dont care but i totally do.

Also whether he cares about Guillermo enough to not raw chicken him or just so he gets there with his baby Nadja who knows but I agree with others I very much would like to see Laszlo’s lil shopping trip. “I say shopkeep what is needed to keep a human alive?” I MEAN FUCKING PEDIALYTE. That didnt even exist until the 1990s!

*Like most ppl I’ve been alone thru the pandemic. But boy am I dead inside watching sweet lil Nandor think he was left behind by the person he loves the most. I think this will set off the realization that he actually wants him around as more than even a friend. If Guillermo didnt realize it til Cloak of Duplication then Nandor will be realizing that start of next season.

*Either Laszlo is genuinely an amazing friend to Colin or there is more to it. If Colin was a full grown human by age 4 per that pic, remembering his dad as flamboyant rupaul type makes me think theres a reason he ended up with these idiots. He says a friend recommended them to him as he had the house. How at age 3-4 did he get a damn house? I have so many questions.

Whelp thats all Ive hit on for now. Always Sunny and a few other shows that used to be in the spring (Archer too) that then went to the fall either right before the pandemic or after seem to be heading back to spring. The fact production has started makes me think we’ll get Season 4 in the Spring of 2022. They were filming this season last spring so thats why Im hopeful.
