Stop "no true Scotsman"-ing leftism.
When a Jewish person talks about antisemitism within leftist spaces, it is not appropriate to respond with "well no true leftist would actually be antisemitic!"
When a PoC talks about racism within leftist spaces, it is not appropriate to respond with "well no true leftist would actually be racist!"
When a Queer/LGBTQ person talks about LGBT-phobia within leftist spaces, it is not appropriate to respond with "well no true leftist would actually be LGBT-phobic!"
When a woman talks about misogyny and sexism within leftist spaces, it is not appropriate to respond with "well no true leftist would actually be misogynist!"
When a disabled person talks about ableism within leftist spaces, it is not appropriate to respond with "well no true leftist would actually be ableist!"
All of this is just invalidating very real experiences and critiques of leftist spaces. Leftism is a political ideology. All of the above mentioned prejudices and bigotries predate leftism, and therefore leftist thought and leftists are very much not immune to absorbing and perpetuating those prejudices and bigotries. Stop silencing victims and stop trying to dodge accountability.
Leftists need to acknowledge and address the issues within their own movement.

I wanted to talk about this post, because I agree but also disagree with it.
I think saying “biphobia will have bi women believe that society wants them to be lesbians, and lesbophobia will have lesbians believe that society wants them to be bi” kind of invalidates different types of biphobia and lesbophobia (and the other prejudices mentioned on the post).
And while I do agree a lot of what you call “queer infighting” could be avoided if we thought that society actually want us to be cis, allo and straight, I will always be very sus about whoever uses the term “queer infighting” because every single person I’ve seen who used that term, used it in a way to invalidate prejudice coming from the LGBTQ+ community.
Maybe it wasn’t op’s intention, but their post (imo) contributes to silencing [insert phobia] coming from the community. Calling out prejudice from lgbt people, not accepting the community being homophobic, lesbophobic, transphobic, biphobic, aphobic isn’t queer infighting. When you use that term it feels like you’re talking about something bad, negative, but calling out prejudice is never something bad.
*I checked op’s bio and they’re actually a man who uses the term “stone butch” 🫠 and also believes in tranandrophobia and I noticed I had already blocked him on this blog lol so he’s probably one of this people trying to silence lesbophobia by saying “stop queer infighting 😡”
Also now realizing it is a man who made that post it’s kinda weird the fact that he seemed to focus more (at least it was important for him enough to talk about it at the beginning) about sapphics than anything else… Never trust a man who seems to have issues with sapphics

HOW TO BE AN ANTISHIPPER - a helpful guide
VERY LONG POST, mostly sarcastic lol, enjoy if you want to laugh a little bit ((no, I didn't have to make this a second time because tumblr sucks, ha ha, I don't know what you're talking about))
DISCLAIMER: I'm barely creating anything here. Those are real thing I saw/heard real antishippers say. Those are basically their words, not mine.
CW: repetitive use of the word "pedo/pedophilia" and such, feel-ashemed-sicko rhetoric, puritan/christian culture, fiction=reality stuff, hate on >30 years old people (I'm really sorry), pRoBlEmAtIc stuff and discourse (sort of), "kys" mentions, some LGBT+phobia (poorly masked), ableism (poorly masked), some insult/swear words in some points, trauma talking, DNI talking
In my long ship-discourse career, I've seen many antishippers not be coherent with what they belive. It is understandable, for many antishippers, to be too much distructed and fall into the Problematic(TM) category they're figthing against. Thinking "kill the pedo" all the time might be exausting and occupy all the congitive processes that someone else would use to actually watch the media they are consuming. But antishippers aren't like other people, they are morally superior, and worrying so much about morality in media is very much time and energy consuming; it's just impossible to keep a track about what to watch and enjoy and how to enjoy it and at the same time thinking.
But oh boy, isn't this guide just for you! This FREE guide¹ is for all the antishippers out there, who might fall in the nasty-proship territory without realizing it and must come out quickly, before starting to spread harmful messages, such as Don't Like; Don't Read, Ship And Let Ship, Your Kink Is Not My Kink And That's Ok, and other nasty, predatory things.
¹gimme ur monei plz, i need themm
Send this guide to whoever you think might benefit from it and, most importantly, consult it when in doubt. Being perfect all the time is difficoult after all.
This guide will help all antishippers with many things when approuching media and fandoms. This includes:
What media consume;
How to consume it;
How to interpret the characters and how to Ship(TM);
What fancontent create/consume and how;
How to create OCs for original stories and fandoms;
What to do if the media/character/ship/fancontent we liked became or happends to be Problematic.
All in this FREE antiship guide.
[I accept paypal and cash, DM me for more info].
1. WHAT MEDIA CONSUME
This is where the majority of antishippers stop at. As I mentioned before, thinking is energy consuming and actually analysing what we have in front of us might be stressful and difficoult at times.
But it is important to understand what type of content we are consuming, in order to be as morally superior as possible! As we all know "we are what we eat", therefore "we are what we watch". This means that the media we are engaging with must:
Not have any controversial opinion in it (unless those are your opinions as well);
Not have any Problematic themes involving children (17 and below), such as killing, death, sex, etc.;
Have ONLY good people behind it: no controversial opinions, no flaws, no rumors about them;
Explicitly say why a character action is good or bad and condemn bad actions and characters;
Not have sexual themes that aren't LGBT+ and NO sex or nudity scenes in any case, not even referential.
«But what about violence?» I hear you say. That's a stupid observation. Violence content doesn't turn you violent, that's a christian mom's stupid belife, not the reality. Besides, killing in movies and such is cool- DON'T RUTE FOR THE KILLER THO!
Anyways if you are a little child (17 and below), there's another point to follow for you:
The media must not have any Problematic theme in it.
This means no cool-killing for you, I'm sorry. Yes, I don't care you are 17 turning 18 in a few days, just wait those few days. And another whole year as well, just to make sure you're REALLY an adult.
Now, there are many medias, movies, comics and shows that are marked as "iredeemable media"; this means that, if you watch or, worse, enjoy those things, you are 100% lost and Problematic, just like the media itself.
Here's a little list of Problematic media to avoid. The list may vary and, unfortunatelly, it is very short. Ask other superior antishippers for advise when you're not sure whether the media you're about to consume is Problematic or safe.
The list includes but is not limited to
South park
Rick and Morty
Homestuck
Attack on titan
Genshin Impact
Harry Potter
Camp Camp
Steven Universe
Obey me!
Danganronpa
Hetalia
BTS/Kpop
Jojo
Dream SMP
Mystic messanger
DDLC
Beastars
Killing stalking
Boyfriends
Hazbin hotel
Helluva boss
Any VTuber
Stranger things
Any kid show if you are >18
Literally anything if you are >30. Where is you spouse? Children? Wtf are you doing here, old fart?? Go get a job or something.
2. HOW TO CONSUME IT
OK, now that you've found your good christian Problematic-FREE content to enjoy and like (and you have to like it, how could you not like it? It's completely unproblematic!), you have to consume it in a puritan unproblematic way as well!
As I already mentioned, you can't watch kids shows if you are 18 and above, it's not age appropriate for you². However that doesn't mean you can engage with the media in a "mature" way, especially in fandoms; just like we'll see in point n.4 as well.
²This doesn't count if you are autistic. As we all know, autistic people unfortunatelly do not have free will and are basically big babys, so you can only watch kid friendly things.
You have your good pure media in front of you, who's your favourite character?
The villain? Who has sympathetic traits and understandable reasons to do what they do and has a corrupted yet strong moral? The male main character? Who is good at heart, maybe a little cold and unable to show emotions but still brave and strong in their unique way? Or maybe the female not-main character? Who uses their beauty to attract their victims, and knows they're beautiful, skinny with wide boobs and light skin?
DISGUSTING! Are you even listening yourself!?
The villain is the villain! Do you support their action? Do you condone killing, mass shooting, you sick fuck-o!?
Are you implying that only males can be the main characters? Then why are they your favourite, hypocrite!? Also, that character theaches toxic behaviour, you are condonic toxic masculinity.
Are females good at nothing but to be beautiful? And beautiful to who!? The male gaze!? You are pushing harmful stereotypes on little girls, making them go through plastic surgery and making them live a miserable life.
Hoping you feel ashemed of yourself.
But don't worry, if you didn't already consumed any iredeemable media (look at the list at point n.1), you are still redeemable and capable to become pure again.
It is important to every christian antishippers to like and enjoy only good characters who do good actions³. We are able to elevate ourselves though what we like, as it reflects 100% what we are inside.
³If you're not able to find who is the good character and who is the evil character, go back to point n.1 and search a media that explicitly tells you that.
A good character must:
Be progressive;
Follow your same logic and morals, so that others knows how you will act or react to certain topics and situations;
Do the good thing at all costs, always;
If they do something wrong, do mental gymnastic to excuse their actions: what they do is what you do or would do in their situation;
If your character is black or/and LGBT+, then don't worry, nobody will attack them in any case.
There is a last thing to consider when talking about characters: their age. If the character in question is a little child (17 and below) you can enjoy them (if you are below 21), but not too much. It doesn't matter if they are your same age, they are children, therefore they must be protected. As we know, those characters were created by a real person, which means they are real people as well. And so it is legit to fight for their rights, protect them from disgusting people, and treat them like real people, just like you would do with anybody else. Or even more! Why calling a group "fictional characters" and the other "live breathing existing people" when they are the same thing?
More infos on how to engage with "characters" (A.K.A. people) in point n.4.
3. HOW TO INTERPRET CHARACTERS AND HOW TO SHIP(TM)
This is clearly the most important point to every antishipper. It's antiSHIP for a reason!
But, before that, we have to talk about what there is at the core of every ship: its characters. We already establish what character you can enjoy, but how can you enjoy them?
Your unconditionally-favourite character might be progressive (example: a female main character, who is explicitly femminist and independent and strong and an ally, etc.), but might also not be progressive enough.
Everyone has their headcanons and there's nothing wrong with it and wanting to see yourself in said character. Afterall, there's never enough queer/black/fat representation out there (/srs).
So you make you favourite character black, chubby, disable, trans and bisexual⁴! Good job! Unfortunatelly, that is not the canon view of said character, but your view is progressive! This means that everybody has to interpret them as you do. If they don't, they are racist, fatphobic, ableist, homotrasphobic and probably a pedophile too, which is unacceptable!
⁴Rule for bi/pan/ace characters: they can't date the opposite gender, or they might "faking it".
What do good fuckers antishippers do when somebody clearly un-progressive refuse to accept clearly superior headcanons?
Here's the list of what-to-do, point by point:
Ask gently to redraw/write the content about said character (example: "excuse me, but in this non-canon artwork of Terezi Pyrope she's fat, draw her as such, thank you").
If they ignore you or rufuse to do as you say, accuse them of what they really are in a polite way (example: "All I'm saying is that it is very fatphobic of you interpret her as differently as the majority of us all, that's all").
Further reistance? Then be even more honest with them! (example: "I mean, you are already drawing a 13-years-old girl, that's kinda predatory, don't you think? At least draw her right, which is how I interpret her").
Politness is the key, but those sick-os aren't really entitled of that, so you may just tell them to kill themselves and call it the day!
With all of that being said, now we can finally go to the SHIP section! What characters I can ship, how can I ship them, etc.
The game is very, very simple, just answer this quick questions:
Are this characters both over 18? >YES (go to 3), >NO (go to 2), >NOT SURE (go to 19)
Are they both under 18? >YES (go to 4), >NO (go to 21)
Are you above 18? >YES (go to 5), >NO (go to 22)
Are you under 18? >YES (go to 5), >NO (go to 21)
Is there some age gap between them? >YES (go to 21), >NO (go to 6)
Are they both black? >YES (go to 9), >NO (go to 7)
Is one of them black? >YES (go to 8), >NO (go to 9)
Are you black? >YES (go to 9), >NO (go to 23)
Are they both boys/men? >YES (go to 10), >NO (go to 11)
Are you a gay/mlm boy/man? >YES (go to 14), >NO (go to 24)
Are they both girls/women? >YES (go to 12), >NO (go to 13)
Are you a lesbian/wlw girl/woman? >YES (go to 14), >NO (go to 24)
Are they a girl/woman and a boy/man? >YES (go to 25), >NO (go to 14)
Do they work together? >YES (go to 15), >NO (go to 16)
Is one a grade superior to the other? >YES (go to 27), >NO (go to 17)
Are they both superheroes/good people? >YES (go to 19), >NO (go to 17)
Are they both villains/bad people? >YES (go to 27), >NO (go to 18)
Is one of them a superhero/good person and the other is a villain/bad person? >YES (go to 27), >NO (go to 29)
Are they both aliens/supernatural creatures? >YES (go to 28), >NO (go to 20)
Is one of them an alien/supernatual creature? >YES (go to 28), >NO (go to 29)
YOU ARE A PEDOPHILE
YOU ARE BEING GROOMED
YOU ARE RACIST
YOU ARE FETISHIZING LGBT+ PEOPLE
YOU ARE HOMOPHOBIC
YOU ARE A RAPIST
YOU CONDONE TOXIC RELATIONSHIPS
YOU ARE A ZOOPHILE
You are pure
This little game is very helpful and quick to make. However I encourage to reach a superior antishipper when in doubt, especially if your ship-case isn't here.
Remember that only the couples you will like to see in real life or the people you would like to date personally in real life are allowed. If you are an antishippers and aromantic, I'm sorry, but you can't participate in ship culture, unless you're faking being aromantic, which will make you a bad person.
4. WHAT FANCONTENT CREATE/CONSUME AND HOW
Congrats! You have your Problematic-free ship in you Problematic-free media! You obviously want to create or consume content of it, especially if the ship isn't canon. Having social medias might help, but also, before doing anything, you have to cure you space online.
Blocking, muting, filtering content and/or people you don't like? Pft, NO, that's what nasty proshippers always tells to do, you don't want to do what they say, ever. What you have to do is to make a DNI banner, post or carrd which tells everything that there's to know about you and what kind of people you don't want near you.
Nazis, pedos, TERFs, etc. will surely be polite enough to listen to your little mind and respect your boundaries. Oh, and also they won't surely use the personal infos you've provided them to harm you in any way or capacity. Big move, really. And, of course, put every online label you heard of without really searching them! That's important. What's a proshipper? Well, my mate ilovekarensfeetinaplatonicway-101, who is totally not a real predator, told me it means pedo-shipping, therefore it is true and disgusting, so might tell "kys" to all of them.
After that, you start to post the content of you favourite character/ship. As I mentioned in point n.2, you can't make just any type of content.
Do you enjoy gore, extreme violence and angst? Meh, you are kinda borderline. Maybe don't post too much of it, or, even better, keep it private. There are children here. Yes, even in your adult-fandom and your adult-only-account and your barriers to filter your content away from children's eyes, some of them might still see it. It's just better if that content do not exists at all.
Do you want to make NSFW content of your favourite adult character/ship? No, big no no. That's nasty. Maybe some fanfic that ALUDE to what they might do in their "free time" or a suggestive art, but that's already too much! Sex is nasty and disgusting and kinks makes you a pervert and a pedo. Do you have a foot fetish? Pedo. Do you have a piss kink? Pedo. How? Because sex and sexuality is nasty and therefore predatory.
Also, making your characters explore their sexuality through sex/sexual behaviour is fetishizing LGBT+ people, stop that.
You MIGHT enjoy some NSFW content if you PROVE to be above 18 but BELOW 30. As we all know, teenagers are pure little souls who do not know about sex and shoul not engage in any dirty content; while after 30 you should already have kids and a job, so why are you in "fandoms" and enjoying your sexual life? You're already done, go do your housechores or something. Watch soapoperas.
The content you make or consume must be pure, which means, as said in point n.1, must not contain any Problematic themes or elements.
5. HOW TO CREATE OCs FOR ORIGINAL STORIES AND FANDOMS
This point talks about OOCs too, so you might want to just interpret a canon character differently instead of creating a whole new other character.
For the stories you create (original and fanfictions), just follow the previous points. Going further, however, there's much more to say.
Let's say you project yourself onto this very cool, good, progressive character, let's call them Cutie. You like Cutie a lot and want to make content of them. You make SFW fanarts, SFW fanficts and so on.
Then, something bad happends in your life, and you get attached to Cutie like it was you comfy teddy bear. You are still processing what happend or what is happening to you and don't feel anybody enough near to talk to them or to get help from them. You then use Cutie as a way to help you through what you've passed/passing.
Don't worry, on fandoms you will find plenty of people ready to help you! If you are coping the right way, of course.
You might want to avoid completely anything correlated to your expirience; making only cute, fluffy content with Cutie, and that's valid (/srs).
But some depravate might want to explore their experience to overcome it, making Cutie pass what they pass and that's just disgusting. You want to make other people suffer? Yeah, that's a fictional character, but we already established they are real people! What you do to them is what you would do to your children. Deplorable.
If you are type 1, then you're fine, sorry for your expirience. If you are type 2, at least feel sorry for what you are now and cope in private. Doing what you do is just making yourself traumatize again at best, making you even worse at worst. No, your therapist isn't right. No therapist will encourage such behaviour.
Just treat your characters like real people and everything will be fine.
6. WHAT TO DO IF THE MEDIA/CHARACTER/SHIP/FANCONTENT WE LIKED BECAME OR HAPPENDS TO BE PROBLEMATIC
You are at the last point of the guide! Good job, antishipper, you did great!
Even doing great tho doesn't preclude some accidents in the way.
You may like a content who happends to have been made by a horrible person, or you favourite character/ship might became toxic over time or, even worse, might always have been Problematic and you didn't know (example: they have TWO years gap).
In this case, don't worry, here's how you do in every situation:
The person behind [insert content/media here] is Problematic: don't engage with the media/content ever again and insult/attack whoever does it.
Favourite character became Problematic: if they can still be saved, just excuse they actions, or just ignore that and go on with your life (remember to attack whoever does the same with other characters tho).
Favourite ship became Problematic: stop shipping them or embrace the rightful hate you'll get.
Favourite ship is considered Problematic: shit some proship-rhetoric then act like that doesn't count for every ship and embrace the hate you'll get.
If you don't like the idea to follow precisive rules and conditions in fictional worlds that doesn't affect real life just for not getting hate, harassment or death threats by other people; living in costant fear of what you might enjoy next and care about what other people do or enjoy (in fictional world) all the time and not having the freedom to write/draw whatever you want... Just became a proshipper, idk, you failed this guide, congratulation.

Y'know, I found it really annoying that a character that the creator themselves never mentioned their character's sexuality.
But somehow the fans gets to decided what it is, and then started lashing out at anyone who dares ship a 'homo character' ( in their own minds, given the creator never mentioned their sexuality ) to the opposite gender.
It's all fun and games with headcanons, but the moment someone doesn't follow their mindset? Those people somehow deserve to be called '*insert*phobia', not because they voice out against lgbt people, but because they like the 'hetero couple' ( and the fact that the creator never mentioned what the character's sexuality is ).
And if the creator themselves voiced that the character isn't homo? Even the creator gets called 'homophobic' too.
Can you stop using the term "Homo"? It's actually a slur. That said, the other things you've stated are true.

TW: transphobia, suicidal thoughts/wanting to not be alive anymore
transphobia is so so so incredibly bad right now and it has been getting worse in the last 5-10 years. what makes it worse is that so many cis people don’t even realize how bad it is. they don’t realize how lucky they are to be cis, they have this HUGE privilege they don’t even recognize and it hurts. i hate myself so much that i wish i was dead because i wish i was cis so much it physically hurts. i’m sitting here, listening to people say “homophobia” as a way to refer to all lgbt-phobia and you just can’t do that… the hate different people in the community face is different for each identity and they all experience different levels and different kinds of hate. i was in a class about “how we got to today”, a class about history mostly in the US. we had a unit called “LGBTQ history” but all the teacher did was talk about stonewall and only mentioned the gay men involved. that is not lgbtq. that is just the g. it’s so tiring. i feel so erased and pushed aside. everything i do and say and stand up for at my school is ignored. i’ve put up posters, talked to administrators and counselors, i’ve tried my hardest to get notice and improve the education about trans people but nothing has changed. i’m so exhausted. i’ve given up.
Submitted March 23, 2023
As always, I encourage anyone in crisis, or who otherwise needs support, to reach out to those who are qualified. Trans Lifeline is hotline available in the US and Canada.  The Trevor Project has a hotline, textline, and chatline available, and I believe is also for the US and Canada. If you’re not in a country where it is available, Befrienders has hotlines for different countries.

Hello what made you become a TERF, stop being a TERF and how do you think people can help other TERFs get out?
How I became a terf:
Being raised catholic did me a lot of damage. When I started looking into mentally leaving the church as a teen I was in a deep state of self loathing and internalized LGBT phobia.
Punished for being an autistic girl by family bc inherent sin
At that time I was around 15 and have had a trad catholic blog since I was 13
The opposite of trads and the people they hate tagged most? Radfems
So I started reading blogs and found some of the literature online and threw myself in. I came to terms with being ace, but I was projecting my internalized transphobia into my gender crit ideology
I was a very small, 4 follower blog. I was terrified of participating in discourse, because a lot of my favourite blogs are the time have gotten very intense anon hate
Why I stopped:
I have cut off my family in 2020 and was excommunicated from my church, though I had already been emotionally out
I got a job with benefits and started therapy, figured out I have schizophrenia and cptsd
I started to try to unlearn my biases
Read a whole lot of racism and other forms of harassment. Hatred of bi women and straight women and they don't believe in asexuality
A transfem started at my job and we became friends very quickly. She really helped open my eyes on trans issues (I have permission to mention her as long as I keep this blog anon)
I realized my gender dysphoria and came out as trans nonbinary
Me and her have been engaged since Jan 2022 🥰
She helps me run this blog
Things I still agree on:
I am still porn critical and anti ddlg
Capitalism is bad
Pro abortion
Women are oppressed for being women (but that includes trans women, not excludes them)
Misogyny is still a huge problem. But that also applies to misogynoir and transmisogyny
What can help get them out
Real life LGBT groups, especially ones involving religious trauma really helped me
Studying inclusive and intersectional feminism
Reading works by trans people, especially trans women
Some blogs that helped @ex-terf-anti-terf @ex-terf-confessions @justlgbtthings @terfrecords @terfsarehomophobic @queerautism @miamayhemthespider @lostelvenqueen

WARNING THIS WILL BE VERY RANTY
Sorry this took a bit to answer haha, I was thinking about these ones for a little bit and I wanted to be able to type it out on my laptop because this may be long(and my laptop is slow). This will be a pretty heavy one.
So lets start with 14 -sigh-
TW rac*sm, h*m*phobia, ped*philia, r*pe, inc*st.
I'm sure this isn't unpopular, but my opinion about the fandom is it's pretty bad. Of course I love most of the users on here and have overall been very pleasant to interact with, but the issues are very overwhelming and become more apparent on the Reddit. You can say, it's just the Reddit, but I've seen these issues on Instagram, Twitter, and pretty much everywhere else. Some of the major issues are homophobia, racism, and the very concerning amount of pedophilia jokes/normalization.
So let's start with the homophobia portion.
As I'm sure everyone has experienced sometime in the fandom, there is an overwhelming amount of homophobia within the fandom. Let's take GenoSai for an instant. Whether like the ship or not, there is definitely a double standard among the fandom. Art where the ship is Genoko(Genos genderbend) x Saitama, it is perfectly fine and little heads are turned, but as soon as you mention Genos x Saitama, everyone goes batshit. They like to say it's because "ships don't belong in the fandom" but then turn around and ship Saitama and Tatsumaki or Saitama and Fubuki. They even go as far as to say "making them gay is disrespectful to the character or it ruins them". I'm sorry but if you're that delusional, I don't even know what to say honestly. Certain users got up and arms about the Batarou ship as of late after the reveal of Kiro in 170. Many users were sent unprovoked abhorrent asks or comments all because they ship them. Some have also downplayed the fact that bisexuality exists as well because of this, just stating "Garou isn't gay" or "Garou doesn't like men". There have been some that have written amazing essays on it so I won't go too deep into it here. Another thing is the downplay of LGBT voices in the fandom. They constantly harass LGBT users for having gay ships or other LGBT ships, when all we literally want is representation. It angers me when they say "well you have Puri Prisoner" and I'm sorry, but fuck that. I literally hate the character. They have no right to speak over us and preach what an acceptable character to represent the community is. No right at all...
Anyways... back to double standards, lesbian ships are more accepted because they are fetishizing them. Some of the most popular are Psykos x Fubuki, Fubuki x Do-S, and...ugh...Fubuki x Lily. So they ignore a literal 14 year old and 23 year old and think it's okay but somehow two consenting male adults in a relationship is worse??? Same thing with incestual relationships such as Fubuki x Tatsumaki.
A smaller section is the way they excuse Darkshine. I understand the intention may not have meant to be racist, but at the end of the day we can't keep excusing it. I feel awful when I remember his backstory because he's not a bad character, in the sense that he's a good guy.
Ah the pedophilia jokes and the normalization. I can't tell you how many times I've seen really disgusting jokes about the child characters in sexual situations. The thing is, they aren't even funny. As mentioned before, they already normalize the relationship between a 14 year old and someone she looks up to, who is 23. Well, let's dive into their favorite thing, One Hurricane. There is a volume of this lovely series , I say sarcastically, in which Child Emperor( a 10 year old) is raped by Fubuki (yet again, a 23 year old) and I sadly laid my eyes on a panel. Fubuki is sexually assaulted by Saitama multiple times throughout the series as well as Do-s in one volume. They still celebrate the series as "so good" when it literally excuses rape ad pedophilia. It pisses me off so bad. There are many users who draw or post incest, pedophilia, rape and are celebrated. It's sad I can think of so many off the top of my head, BY NAME.
I have some other things I want to talk about but the post is getting long...
I'll do a briefing of things I don't like about the manga itself. I don't like the way Kama is treated, she's way too beautiful to be presented the way she is. Especially in the webcomic when her name was "Slicing Shemale". I understand that there is apparently some translation issues, but sometimes I wonder.
I already talked about Darkshine and Puri.

Pageant by Autumn Chen
============= Links
Play the game See other reviews of the game See other games by Autumn or follow her @cyberpunklesbian
============= Synopsis
Your name is Qiuyi (Karen?) Zhao, and you’ve just been signed up by your parents for a beauty pageant. You’re not ready, not even close, but you don’t have a choice. But perhaps you can make the best of it. Maybe it’s the one opportunity to create a “hook” for your college application. Maybe you can reinvent yourself, get rid your anxiety and become someone new. Or maybe you can find true love (or some approximation thereof).
============= Other Info
Pageant is a Dendry* game, first published in 2018 and completed in 2020. *Autumn is also an unofficial maintainer of the Dendry format.
Status: Completed Genre: Dating-sim, Slice-of-life, LGBT
CW: / Note: homo/trans-phobia, talks of suicide, passing out from exhaustion, anxiety.
============= Playthrough
First Played: Some time in 2022? Last Played: 27-May-2023 Playtime: around +2h(-ish) - two proper playthroughs Rating: 5 /5 Thoughts: Winning the pageant is not everything, but the journey is worth the anxiety.
============= Review
Pageant follows Qiuyi (Karen) Zhao (mentioned as Karen below), a Chinese teenager living in the US, as she navigates through school and extra-curriculars, relationships and identity, family expectations and community, and the pageant her parents signed up for. Through limited storylets choice, you can carve Karen's priorities and relationships.
Spoilers ahead. It is recommended to play the game first. The review is based on my understanding/reading of the story.
Did I once again read the Post-Mortem before writing this? Yes. Couldn't help myself. Also this is a bit more eclectic, tried hard to put my thoughts in order, didn't workl...
Pageant was created with Dendry, a storylet narrative program, where the player get to experience linear side-stories in fragmented way. Every week, the player can pick up to three options from the storylet lists to start or continue a path. As the list is often longer than three options, the player is forced to make choices and prioritise a certain path (a recurring gameplay type in Autumn's games). This makes for great and interesting replayability!
The story start with Karen being summoned by her parents, revealing that they signed her up for a pageant, happening in three months. There is no bargaining no quitting (it's good for college apps!). In three months, Karen will be on that podium*. During that prep period, she still needs to balance school (a full AP curriculum), the Science Olympiad, doing an understudy with a college professor (also set up by your parents), having dinner with your family, going to bible study on the weekend, and etc... Doesn't this sound like too much for a high school student? And was it yet mentioned that Karen is a socially awkward mess, who has trouble making relationships, is full of anxiety and self-loathing, struggling with her identity as a Chinese teenager in the US (her used name not being her birthname, and having the option to butcher your name's pronunciation) and a closeted lesbian (or something like that says the game). *well, there is a way.
Along the way you are introduced to a handful of characters: Emily, a trans woman still in the closet, Aubrey, a girl Karen had a crush on also part of the Science Olympiad team, and Miri, Karen's only friend. There is also Karen's parents and her little brother, Kevin; Professor Chen and his grad student; the rest of the Science Olympiad Team; and the other families attending the Church. Through out the game (and your choices) you get to learn more about these characters, like how Emily deals with her family's trans/homophobia, or Miri's feelings towards you, your family's history...* The storylets really shine here, giving you crumbles here and there, forcing you to piece those back together (and forces you down a certain path to learn everything). *Even after playing multiple times, I have yet to found all variations.
And at the centre of it all, Karen, the very flawed teenager. Yet, even with her self-deprecation and anxious spirals, with the awkward way she interacts with other people, with dealing with different cultural values and expectations about her life, or with her inability to stand up to herself (partly because of her guilt of "having it easy" compared to older generations), Karen stays a character you want to root for. You want to help her win that pageant and be more sure of herself. You want her to be more confident in her identity (and get a girlfriend). You want her to find her passions (in science?) and win accolades. You want to pluck her from her stressful world, wrap her in a blanket, kiss her on her forehead, and tell her that everything will be ok.
The whole game is filled with such genuine interactions, with teenagers blurting out their deepest secrets to strangers, declaring their love to one another even after but a few meetings, being self-loathing with a self they don't recognise or don't want to be anymore but unable to leave that shell, trying to handle the stress and anxiety of the expectations of others and not being able to reach those. And those are made all the more vibrant through Karen's inability to react "properly". Faced with bad and worse choices, you get to experience that anxiety of what would happen if I say or do the wrong thing. It feels genuine, because it feels real and lived through.
As the ending came around, and you get the rundown of Karen's actions, it felt like, while winning the pageant is definitely one/the goal, the journey was much sweeter than the destination. And that's what keeps making me want to come back to it...
Some other notes:
The visual of Dendry is quite reminiscent of ChoiceScript games, with its simple and contrasting colours and choice box or its achievements list; as well as Ink games in the story/storylets parts, as the text linked to the chosen option is appended to the main body, breaking only when the storylet ends and you need to pick another one or the story needs a break. It's honestly fun to see how two program can be merged (visually) and work this way.
There's kind of a fun parallel between Pageant and Great-grandmother and the war in the way the characters of Karen and Emily are portrayed similarly to Zhang and Yan. The first is socially awkward, introverted and filled with anxiety; the second is out-going, harbouring a secret, and yearning to live their truth. But this is only obvious if you do interact with Emily in this game.

So I know you hate Art AI but how do you feel about text AI? There's a Character AI website and they got a bunch of Wheatley AIs people made and they all sound radically different, but in character in different ways. Now Chat GPT probably scans people's fanfics to make the pop culture AIs, because it goes all over the internet. But lots of times I have googled quotes from the AI and never gotten an identical fanfic turning up.
Oh is THAT what those run on? Then yeah, I would recommend no-one touch those things with a ten foot pole. ChatGPT is not ethically sourced, and that’s also the AI that’s known to spout racism/sexism/LGBT+phobia/all manner of nasty things at the drop of a hat specifically BECAUSE it sources crap from all over the internet.
No, it’s not quoting fanfics, but it’s been trained on EVERYTHING, including them. That doesn’t mean it’s going to just quote them (although I did poke at the Mario AI on there and after one sentence it just did nothing but quote strategy guides), but it’s still stealing from them in the way that the fanfics are part of the gears making the monstrous machine move.
I don’t trust the fact that you have to sign up to use most of that website. What data are they gathering from you? Not to mention that interacting with those things at ALL is just continuing to train that monster. Sure the website seems harmless as I don’t imagine any user is monetarily profiting off it, but the folks who own that awful AI sure are.
So, yeah, knowing now how that stupid character AI site works, yes, I am very much against it, and you should be, too. Go read fanfics or look at fanart or interact with ask blogs or join an RP if you want more of a character. Don’t support this bullcrap.
I don’t think writing AIs are NEARLY as harmful as art AIs, given how much they don’t work for more than a few lines at a time, but ChatGPT in particular is just kindof awful since IIRC its owners are actually trying to make money off of it. Do not recommend.
EDIT: Just realized this was asking about other writing AI as well. I know of one other and I have a different opinion on that one, but I’ll get to it later.

Blog Information for Mobile Users
This pinned post is specially made for mobile users, so they have access to important blog information. I’ll update this post whenever it’s needed.
--
Blog status: Currently on @gurengan (Blog under construction!)
--
Other blogs: @bibibooks, @kazenofuji, @tennome, @hakkouname, @gunsnboots, @awai-no-yuurei and @gurengan
Rules:
1. VERY IMPORTANT: As a result of having dyslexia, impaired vision, and eye illnesses, I ask my roleplay partners to be considerate of this. Ideally, using a capital letter at the start of each new sentence in our interaction would be great. I don’t care for the size of the text, the icon size, or anything else. If aesthetics are important to you, I fully understand and will try to work with them.
2. This is a multiple Muse blog featuring mostly original characters (OCs) and a few Canon Muses. All the Muses are from the Naruto franchise!
3. This blog is original character, multiple Muse, and crossover friendly. I do ask for an about page with minimum effort regarding original characters. While I’m multi-Muse friendly (I’m one myself after all), I want to add; I’ll follow a multi-blog only for certain Muses. This may change depending on the Muses offered over time.
4. God modding, etc., isn’t something I particularly enjoy, and I ask not to do so. If you’re unsure about anything, please don’t be afraid to private message me. I might as well add: I’m far from perfect, and if I ever do something that is a no-no for you in writing, please private message me!
5. I’m of age, and content that isn’t safe for work will be written here and tagged accordingly. This goes from gore to sexual intent and anything in between. I’ll not write with minors and ask them not to interact with me.
6. About shipping and more, I’m open to romantic shipping, but chemistry is required between our Muses. As I’m a multi-ship blog, each romantic ship has its own universe by default. Outside of romantic ships, I love to develop all sorts of ships with my Muses!
I’m not comfortable writing about sex itself, and if anything happens, I’ll ask for it to fade to black. As I’m not interacting with minors, it should be self-explanatory that NSFW will only be written with adults.
If it’s plot or background-related, mentioning darker topics regarding sexual content is alright with me, but please don’t drop this on me without warning me first. For example, the mention of rape without warning will startle me. It’s a trigger.
7. Seeing as English isn’t my native language, I can’t guarantee that mistakes won’t happen, and I ask that you not be an icky person about it.
8. To keep this role-play blog enjoyable for myself and others, anonymous hate, etc., will be ignored. You’re more than welcome to give me constructive criticism, but please, no destructive criticism.
Having been a victim of callout culture myself while wrongly accused back in 2015, I’ll not participate in any of this! That being said, I’m perfectly capable of deciding whether a callout is warranted or not. I apologise for the strict tone here, but I’ve seen and experienced firsthand how a callout can ruin someone, especially when they’re wrongly accused.
9. I’ve got a phobia and several triggers. My phobia is molluscophobia (fear of snails and slugs), and my triggers are rape, strangling, drowning, and my Muse being pinned down. All of these things make me highly uncomfortable.
While Katsuyu is a slug and the summoning of Tsunade and Sakura, I ask that you not describe it in full detail when it’s summoned.
10. I don’t tolerate out-of-character hate against LGBT+ or any other hate regarding race, religion, or the like. I say OOC because, in writing, it can happen. For a quick example, my Hyuuga OC held a grudge against Kumogakure for a long time due to the Hyuuga Affair.
11. Mun isn't Muse! Each of my Muses is unique, with their own personality and personal opinions. Please don't confuse my in-character writing with my out-of-character writing. Again, Mun isn't Muse!
12. I don’t send out passwords, as I always read my role-play partner’s rule page.
Miscellaneous:
My time zone is CET (Central European Time)
My tracking tag is Kyuusou
Out of character will usually be tagged as OOC

Hello! The puppeteer is here; I’m Myttie!
I’m a ciswoman and use she / her pronouns.
Because of my mental health, my activity isn’t consistent; I'm a sporadic role-player with a tendency toward low activity. Don't be afraid to hit me up through IM or Askbox. I like to chit-chat and get to know my RP partner better. I'm a friendly and ditsy person who likes to role-play and have fun!
That's all. Thank you for reading!

afaik Scott sold the fnaf franchise completely so it doesn't even belong to him anymore and he's no longer associated with it because of it. Also, are you saying you want Jim Hensons Creature shop to be cancelled even if he did stop? /gen
Yeah that's what I thought too, from a cursory glance at online stuff. People are calling for a boycott of the movie... not sure if this helps anything
this isn't a jkr situation where she's actively getting paid (if he sold the ip outright he can't get money from it, like notch with mc) or one where the source material is already heavily bathed in homo- trans and pretty much any phobia possible like in hp. I can't find anything about him getting active royalties from the movie (or even sb, since that was done by a different studio and finished after he had given up the IP) so I find the whole thing questionable. It's not a good thing he's done this but idk people are being weird.
and, well, I mentioned it mostly because since people are so trigger -happy, they would also have to call for a boycott to the creature shop since they agreed to work with \for the movie. Double standard etc.
I think as far as extremely right wing transphobic human beings go, Scott is not the worst out there, ya know? Outside of the leaked list of things he's donated to (in the past), it's not like he spends his time actively warring with the LGBT community like jkr does (to my knowledge). The movie is also not one about thinly veiled racist caricatures of a group of people committing blood libel, so the comparisons I've seen are lacking in substance a bit. It's good to be aware of things, but I'm struggling to follow the train of thought here. Are we going to have to cancel the creature shop, Matthew Lillard? How involved does someone need to get before they're Evil?

really tired of ppl claiming celebrities like…need to come out? u cannot force ppl unwillingly to fulfill that role to represent u by outing them and claim allyship. thought we agreed outing ppl is wrong. it is not queerbaiting for a celebrity to be unlabeled and not disclose their sexuality/gender identity, many lgbt+ ppl also don’t. u cannot queerbait by not disclosing your sexuality. celebs may have the financial security to fall back on after being outed in the media but outing is still a very traumatic experience. don’t be an idiot and out ppl.
bc so many lgbt+ ppl are unlabeled and figuring things out and don’t feel comfortable mentioning it, and lgbt+ ppl in general are not required to come out to u and specify labels, which is exactly what u obligate when u demand such info of celebs. kit conner is a fucking teenager and his “fans” who outed him should be ashamed of themselves.
bc the real world doesn’t work like that!!! irl when u meet lgbt+ ppl of any identity we come out to u on ur own terms, and if u pull invasive shit like that, even if u claim to be accepting, it feels stressful to even come out.
i just think ppl should think before they speak bc it’s ok to question ur sexuality/gender and be unlabeled, even if it’s 100% true celeb managements market off that and may be telling a celeb to stay in the closet behind the scenes. that does not make it ok to out celebrities as if they aren’t actual human beings who can also be affected by anti-lgbt+ phobia. that just adds to the idea that lgbt+ ppl need to label themselves when they aren’t ready just bc ur invasive and nosy.

I think a lot of people don’t understand that when it comes to prejudice inside the LGBTQ+ community people might get more angry and feral compared to prejudice coming from allo cishets.
Some people may think this reaction is rooted in [insert phobia], coming from the person calling out the prejudice against the person who was prejudiced.
Most of the time other queers only get more angry with you - lgbt person - for being prejudiced because seeing someone from the same community being prejudiced with you hurts way more than seeing your oppressors being prejudiced with you.
We expect the oppressors being shitty and [insert phobic], we never expect someone who was supposed to support you and accept you, not to mention someone who’s also lgbt, to invalidate and hate on you and your identity.

“Flag discourse is stupid.”
No, actually, because people are ALLOWED to express their discomfort with anything made by phobic people including something as ‘small’ as a flag, and in this case people who support lesbiphobia - but the list really does keep going on from there. (Note: the post linked does not include the green/blue gay flag because at the time of me making that post, I was unaware the creator of that flag is also lesbiphobic and apparently racist as well.)
Quite honestly, if you think people aren’t allowed to express their discomfort with something, something that can even be triggering, no matter how insignificant YOU may think it is, you clearly don’t care about how things negatively affect people who aren’t you.
If I see someone using the orange/blue aroace flag, the pink/yellow/blue pan flag, or the blue/green gay man flag, I’m going to assume one of two things. Either:
1. The person isn’t aware of the fact these flags were made by lesbiphobes and consequently express support of lesbiphobia.
or
2. This person DOES know that, but doesn’t care, or is even supportive of lesbiphobia themselves.
Either way, I, as a lesbian, personally am allowed to feel uncomfortable, speak out, or block, as is my right. Lesbians shouldn’t have to go out of their way to educate non-lesbians on how something is lesbiphobic and ask them not to support it. Lesbians shouldn’t have to be afraid of being attacked for expressing their discomfort if they so choose to non-lesbians, because that is unfortunately something that happens. Aroace lesbians (like me) are especially allowed to feel uncomfortable with the use of the orange/blue aroace flag because it’s directly phobic and deeply invalidating towards a part of our identity.
“Go focus on actual phobia in the real world.”
Yes, because I, as one person, have the power to single-handedly oppose and change how phobic the entire world is. (That was sarcasm, by the way.)
LGBT+phobia can also exist in the form of microaggression, something other people may not readily realize and what even others may not consider ‘important’ enough to acknowledge. The fact remains that an act of LGBT+phobia, no matter how ‘small’ it may seem, is still phobic and should be addressed. To say ‘that’s not an important issue to me, go focus on something that actually matters’ is not only invalidating but also phobic in and of itself, not to mention potentially ableist because not everyone is of abled body and mind to fight back against LGBT+phobia in a way that someone else deems ‘important enough.’
People fight LGBT+phobia however they can, however they’re able, and that is valid whether it be educating, addressing, or protesting in the real world or online. It’s bad enough lesbians have to deal with lesbiphobia outside of the LGBT+ community, we shouldn’t have to deal with it INSIDE of the LGBT+ community as well.
“Well, what should I do about flag discourse, then?”
Easy. Use a different flag NOT made by a lesbiphobe. Alternatives for the orange/blue aroace flag, the the pink/yellow/blue pan flag, and the green/blue gay flag have all been made in response to the lesbiphobia the creators of those flags support, in an effort to support and express solidarity with lesbians against lesbiphobia. If you don’t like any of those options, feel free to make your own!
Lesbians themselves changed from the ‘lipstick lesbian’ flag to the current ‘sunset lesbian’ flag because the creator of the lipstick lesbian flag was racist, butchphobic and biphobic. I personally don’t think it’s too much to ask other members of the LGBT+ community to show support by doing the same.
With all that being said - DON’T INVALIDATE, GUILT, OR HARASS PEOPLE OVER EXPRESSING THEIR DISCOMFORT, ESPECIALLY WHEN LESBIANS SAY THAT SOMETHING IS LESBIPHOBIC.
Lastly - if you don’t want to use a different flag, that’s up to you. But don’t be offended or surprised when people avoid or block because you’re continuing to use a flag that is upsetting and invalidating to them.
