david tennant appreciation
ok, I do not think that we, as a species, talk enough about how great of an ally to the LGBTQIA+ community David Tennant is.
Like, ok I know wearing pride pins or trans rights t-shirts shouldn't be that big of a deal but it is and he knows that! He wears them because he knows that!
The dude has played more than one character that comes under the non-cis umbrella and he does so respectfully and truthfully, the same as with his non-hetero characters.
I just think David Tennant deserves far more praise for his public defense of our community and his solidarity with us. Dude is an icon and he is the moment.

You may find trans people disgusting. That can be a natural reaction for some people.
Try putting off your natural reaction and learn to see us as God does.

Happy pride month! My first one while knowing I'm concerned!
I really had to post one meme with Bruno! So I made that!
That's all! Happy pride! Tomorrow I'll post one I made way before deciding to make many posts during June for Pride month. And it'll be way more chatty!

I know it's no big deal, BUT I'M COMING OUT AS UNLABELED! 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍🌈
Specifying my sexuality stresses me out too much, I just know I'm attracted to whoever I'm attracted to, and if I'm not, that's okay too! I think I'm going to be happier now, really 🫶🫶🫶🫶🔥
Have a great day everyone 💗

Announcement!
Tumblr media
I was looking through old photos and found one my mom took of me painting something in the colors of the polysexual flag (pink, green, blue, in that order).
But it's from 2020, and I only realized I was polysexual in 2022!
I remember I had to do this painting for school, but I still should have it somewhere, so get ready for my very own polysexual pride flag!

Watching this series on Hulu and I'd highly encourage other folks to watch it, especially if they aren't familiar with queer history and Pride You get to listen to stories from people's own mouths and see archival footage of some of the earliest modern queer communities. And you can see how so many of the tactics that were used to oppress the queer community and to suppress the gay liberation movement are still very much in use today.
And if you think that trans folks do not belong in the movement, you absolutely should watch this. We would never have gotten so far in gaining rights and equality if it were not for trans folks.

Well, here I am again on tumblr which brings back some fond memories. I'm sure many of us are here because of all the dumpster fire chaos on twitter right now. That really sucks because twitter is useful for the things I do like promoting the Mothergamer blog when a gaming review is done or when I'm doing content creation live on twitch with a variety of games while we discuss mental health and LGBTQIA+ issues. We do have a discord too of course, but everything that is happening is cutting off a lot of vulnerable people in our communities which is frustrating because the person doing it does not care about people like us. They just want to win at any cost and that is dangerous for everyone. For now I'm still on twitter, but I will be posting here and checking out other options. The cute artwork of me is from Ni No Kuni 2 with the Higgeldies and was created by my wonderful friend and mod Catastrophe92 for those who wanted to know. Don't give up. We'll stand and fight together. Do your best to be kind to yourselves and each other. You'll have to copy and paste the links, but these are all the places you can find me: twitch.tv/mothergamer mg28-mothergamer.blogspot.com youtube.com/@mothergamer28 instagram.com/mothergamer28 tiktok.com/@mothergamer28

"Audible hopes you've enjoyed this program."
Not really, Audible. Why did I torture myself listening to this YA tome of doom all the way to the bitter (but sweet) end? Why are young audiences these days obsessed with death and dying? Why did the guardians of popular culture decide to normalize the "F" bomb for children's literature?
I admit this story was entertaining, since I had to know what happens and how these characters ultimately die, but here's the premise.
In this world a company called Death Cast calls you with an alert when you have 24 hours left to live. How this company knows you're going to die on this particular day is never explained. Also, how are people without cellphones alerted? The doomed teenage heroes of the story meet through a social media site called Last Friend, which connects "Deckers" who want to spend their last hours alive with someone else in the same situation. Mateo and Rufus, two kids in Manhattan (I guess that's why all the "F" bombs), connect and spend the day enjoying life to the fullest knowing it's their last day.
The voice cast was phenomenal, bringing each character to life with depth and nuance. The author keeps the pace fast, using short, time-stamped chapters switching from various characters' POV.
Ultimately, the story is about living and not dying, making the most of whatever life you have allotted to you, but all the while I'm listening to this I kept freaking out thinking I might die too in an explosion or car crash or massive catastrophe. I drove more cautiously while listening to chapters in the car.
Kudos to the author for a premise that's full of suspense, and for pointing out that love is what makes life worth living.

Aspec allyship?
So, this is not an asexual blog AT ALL. It's just the funny adventures of a very sexual and very sex-repulsed person who love each other very much and spend their lives together. I run everything I post past them, to make sure they laugh and don't find it mean-spirited, and made the conscious choice NOT to overanalyze the jokes - I know they won't land with everyone, but people can block me if they want. (Ily @why-are-the-allos-like-this , I'd love your response to this post.)
But because I tag things asexual, Tumblr has started recommending me ace content. And the result is that I am starting to really wonder what ace allyship should look like. Aspecs have one of the most well-developed cultures I have ever seen, but the rest of the queer community seems to just acknowledge they exist and leave it at that. I have learned to tailor my behavior for one person, but they're just one person.
Aspecs of Tumblr: I would love allyship resources!
