Drown yourself in thoughts
Emptiness you swore that you had forgot
Suffocate the light
Emptiness you tried to hide
The only certainty
That you're fucking guaranteed
You'll rot alone in the grave

@ anon i have more bottom dysphoria than top and i still very much enjoy sex, 1) its easier to ignore dysphoria when you're feeling pleasure and especially with someone you trust and 2) no matter how/where/how much/if you experience dysphoria, youre still a valid trans person. Your dysphoria or lack thereof is no ones business but your own, and doesnt make you fake or real or anything.
Thank you for your input!

Like Moths to Flames, “All That You Lost”
This new track by LMTF is probably what most of their fans have been looking forward to: a heavy song! I really enjoyed their last album, but this single really puts forward all the best parts of this band. They have a fairly technical, driving riff that’s just bouncy as all hell, leading into their vocalist showing several types of screams throughout the song with some fun, experimental rhythms, and drums that really give the whole song a kick that pushes this to among the top songs of their long repertoire. The variety in vocals, the solid, melodic chorus, and the massive show of talent in the instrumentals already make this a good track. Then they hit with a beautiful bridge section after the second verse—albeit a little suddenly—mixing up structure like this band has always done fantastically. Even the bass can be heard really adding some punch to the bridge. The experimentation, the heavy, bouncy riffs, and their toying with time signatures has always set these guys apart from the rest of the metalcore scene, and this song really showcases what makes them so great. And to top it all off, after that solemn, heart-rending break, they come back in with another chorus and end it all with a breakdown with some fantastic ambience in the secondary guitar, leaving the listener wanting nothing but the entire rest of the album immediately. The only section in this track missing anything is the chorus, and that’s just because it lacks an instrumental punch as its fairly simple guitar-wise in particular, though the drums keep up the pace. It has strength but it’s just missing that little extra something—but I totally forgive them for taking a break after those insane verse riffs. Nobody’s perfect, but these guys are getting there.
So definitely go check this new single which comes with a music video on UNFD (rather than their old label, Rise) and check the rest of these guys’ albums out because they’re all fantastic and hopefully we’re getting a new one to add to that list soon!
Overall Rating: 9/10
MVP: Drums
Album Release: Unknown
