In various pieces of TMF content, we've been given small glimpses into Droey (Drew and Zoey), how their relationship works.

And there are two major pieces I want to talk about a bit. The following pictures:

I think these two phots really give context for their relationship. And help us understand how it has developed.

In the first photo, its obvious these two are deep in love. Zoey us actually laughing, and even has blush on her face. Drew has his arm wrapped around her. And, the most important thing, he's looking at her. He doesn't care about how the photo might come out, how he might look in it. He's only looking at her. Because in that moment she is the only thing that matters. And Zoey doesn't care either, she is laughing and having a good time with the boy she loves.

This shows that at one point they did love each other. They cared very deeply for one another at one point. Their body language makes that clear. They are conformable and in love. They only care about one another in the moment. The photo is a pure, unedited, showcase of their love for each other at that time.

In the second photo, however, things are different.

In the other photo, Zoey's just smiling. Sticking her tongue out, yes, but that's it. No blush. No laughing. Drew isn't holding her, but instead just her hand. He has less physical intimacy with her in this one. He also isn't looking at her, but the camera. Even the use of filters shows us, that this photo is purely meant for public display. Its been altered to look good for others. Because at this point, that's all their relationship is too each other. A thing of status, to show off to people.

The first photo is unaltered, the second one has filters. The first is how their relationship started, pure and full of love. The second is showing us how they view each other as more of a way to seem more popular, and cool.

This is even represented in where the photos are kept. Zoey keeps the first one in her home. Just for her. where as the second one is in her school locker. For everyone passing by to see.

And they still love each other. I think that they are holding hands represents how they still have something with each other. Its just become this edited thing for appearances. Less about their love.

I think these small details are genius on Rosy's part. She gave us more subtle development of their relationship. Showed us that at one point they loved each other, but along the way their relationship became edited and warped.

THE PROBABLY WORST ANTI-AIR SNIPER UNIT

What is probably the WORST anti-air sniper unit? Meteor is at least at low DP cost and quick to attack. Catapult is at least going to instantly stop whatever it its. Even a good old fashioned Adnachiel will do good damage and it won't hurt your ears. No, I wanted to know what the undisputable worst anti-air sniper in the world is, and I have found it:

This is Justyna Valentine 'Fartooth'. She is a Deadeye sniper that does 1196 dmg in little less than 3 seconds normally when inside her range and if she has her 3rd skill ready, the poor bastard that gets hit outside her normal range will get a 120% multiplier too. Hypergliph even gave her an anti-dodge skill for shit and giggles as if she wasn't doing enough damage. She would be overkill even for hunting Emperor's Hand.

I would like to paint a picture for you. It's 2AM and you hear a window break into your base, you hear the unmistakeble sound of Monster's drones. This is the worst day it could happen, as every single one of your anti-air sniper has tried Hibiscus special dinner and is in infirmary. All of them are in critical condition except for one. You look across the dorms in dread at you anti-Free unit. You know what you have to do. But you don't know if you have the deploiment points to do it, both literally and figuratively.

You take Farthooth in your team and three different vanguards to be able to deploy her quickly, and you start to waddle towards the door.

Your feet make a loud "thud" as you lead the team. You know the intruders hear you. You hope they do, for perhaps they will run and spare the world the suffering that is about to befall it.

You try to settle her down on a far side ranged tile, but you have to try 3-4 times before the DP is high enough to deploy her. You attempt to rotate her position to get a clear hit on the enemies at least 4 times. To your horror, two drones stand there at the end of the hall.

With heavy heart, you tell Fartooth to prepare her 3rd skill while making inhuman grunting noises from the strain of checking every two second if the skill is ready. The drones simply stare in disbelief, unable to process the situation and why the Pinus's knight is on the other side of the map unable to hit them, as if in a dream.

You cannot disturb Fartooth while she aims, as the last time you did, she turned the EYESOFPRIESTESS system into a kaleidoscope. She turns silent, take aim, and fire.

You are immediately knocked on the floor as if hit by a speedboat going 20MPH. The shot connected with one of the two drones and it erases it from existance. Even the memories of it have been destroyed and you are wondering why you just activated her skill if there are no enemies on sight. The shot continues to travel through at least 4 houses, a car, an Essence of Evolution before lodging itself 20 feet into a nearby hill, never to be seen again.

At this point, you realize you can't hear for the shockwave.

The surviving drone can't either but he's also on fire from the blast and is currently crashing down on your floor. You don't care.

Your shoulder is dislocated and there is a hole in your new coffee machine. You are crying now. Kal'sit comes and, upon seeing the scene, gives you a stern look. You start crying harder.

“y/n?!” a voice shouted back.

a voice that sounded like—heeseung’s… but how was that possible…?

you jolted awake, tears still rolling down your cheeks.

you whipped your head to the left and to the right in a panic before your eyes landed on the real heeseung beside you, looking practically the most concerned you’d ever seen him, but boy, were you more than relieved to see him alive and healthy.

he was sitting up with you, hand resting on your thigh to reassure you before scooting over and wrapping his arms around your body, pulling you into his chest.

but your sobs wouldn’t subside.

“what happened, my love?” he asked, voice broken like his sensitive heart at the sound of your cries.

“i thought i lost you,” you barely made out between sniffles.

“it’s okay, it was just a dream,” he explained with a kiss to the side of your head. “you really think you could get rid of me that easily, huh?”

at his playful remark, you couldn’t help but let out a small laugh.

he pulled back slightly and looked down at you, “there’s that pretty smile.”

that was when your heavy breaths finally began to subside.

you swung your arms around his neck, pulling yourselves closer, and you two stayed in that position for a couple minutes in silence, one would think you two had fallen asleep, sitting, bodies held in the other’s warm embrace.

eventually, heeseung took one of your hands in his own as he pulled away to check on you, who was still awake.

he rubbed his thumb over the back of your hand, soothing you further.

“you okay?” he asked, voice soft as honey, and as he did, he swept behind your ear a piece of hair that was previously hanging in front of your face before moving to cup your jaw. he looked into your eyes lovingly as he awaited your response.

“i’m better now,” you answered, followed by a tiny smile.

“that’s what i like to hear,” he whispered, pressing a kiss to your forehead. “let’s go back to sleep now, yeah?”

you nodded, and you both laid back down. with his arms still around you, he pulled you closer into him.

“remember,” he started as sleep was already beginning to take over, “i’ll always love you… never will i ever leave you… i can’t survive in this world without you by my side, y/n. i love you more than…”

you waited for him to finish, but his breaths only seemed to grow heavier. and so you squeezed his figure a little tighter as you cuddled into his chest and closed your eyes, content.

this was before you felt his body adjust slightly, and you heard his voice near your ear as he finished, “i love you more than i think you’ll ever know.”

sleepily, you perked up at him, unsure if you heard his words correctly. but what he said made you smile. you left a kiss on his jaw before nuzzling back into him.

you couldn’t wish for anything better than this—anything better than him.

and so with one last thought about something along the lines of how grateful you were, you travelled off into a deep sleep, filled with nothing but happy dreams, you in heeseung’s arms, and there was no place you’d rather be.

I'm especially fond of the way they wrote YJH and Anna Croft, and also, I have a soft spot for things where YJH (who has had to carry the enormous burden of the Story for so long) finally gets to do some reading and writing of his own.

I have a special spot in my heart for this fic because cat HSY is written so hysterically well it has permanently affected my own characterization of HSY. Funny, charming, cute, but as with all things orv, has a very sweet and sad undertone.

JDJ. YJH attempts to confess. KDJ does not make things easy for him. The calling card of a great jdj confession fic is a tasteful amount of KDJ brand tomfoolery, just enough to make you want to grab him and shake him like maracas. This fic accomplishes that with flying colors. It's written from YJH's pov, but you can just feel the gears turning and steam puffing out of KDJ's head. Op understands babygirl YJH. As a warning, this is the first part of a three fic series, the other two are NSFW.

YHK. Our favorite toxic polycule, now on live tv! A truly tremendous Love Island AU fic. My absolute favorite thing about this fic is that every time a character is introduced, there's a cutaway to their Love Island Love Interest Self Introduction Sexy Beach Montage Reel written in the style of a TV film script and every last one of them had me crying real tears. YSA is also excellent in this fic.

World's End Rhapsody by wakerife

JDJ, with a side of Sangsoo. This was one of the first orv fics I read, before I started bookmarking them; there's a really sweet scene of YJH reading that I couldn't get out of my head so I went on a hunt to find this fic again by searching through every single ORV fic tagged with "post-canon." A collection of KDJ recovery snippets, punctuated by some heartfelt jdj.

At Sea by ksalientian

YHK. The dead return from the sea, including KDJ. He doesn't come back exactly how they remember. Eerie, melancholy, and permeated with slow, enormous loss. There are some horror like elements in this fic, but it's more psychological than something that might make you squeamish. Yoohan are going through it. Fantastic fic!

GEN. Pre-canon. There's a ghost that lives inside of HSY's house. A short character study on the loneliness of a writer.

A New Story Written by pyrrhura

YHK. KDJ worries in the middle of the night about being responsible for a new story, and about being a father. Or, three idiots and baby. I love fics where yhk get their blissfully mundane happy ending, but op doesn't confuse that with forgetting the traumas and hardships of the past. Love the banter in this fic, and the way they just lean on one another without even thinking. As a warning, there are discussions of unplanned pregnancy in this.

Ain't Nobody Solving That Declining Birth Rate by dulcetair

YHK. KDJ is fresh out of a coma (broke) and YJH is a former terrorist (also broke.) The post-scenario government issues a cash incentive for people to get married. Or, the gang commits marriage fraud! Features YJH wearing a apron that says grillmaster on it. I was already a firm believer in YHK getting married for """tax benefits""" because it makes things easier for KDJ who is too embarrassed to admit anything otherwise, but the idea of HSY using Avatars to game the system and buy a three story house just for funsies is also incredibly in character.

What the Living Do by younglegends

GEN. Snapshots of mourning, loving, and longing from various KCom members' points of view. The chronological events of this fic are backwards, which makes for an interesting read. Younglegends hasn't written a lot of ORV stuff yet, but the two fics that they have so far are both downright phenomenal, and some of the best work I've seen in this community. They are also the author of the fic that I refused to spoil in the previous orv fic rec. Also, their YSA characterization is perfect.

About DokJoong and how to have more of it

Said it in another post but I wanted to say it in a different post.

I think this fandom is scared to write Dokjoong.

It befudles me. I usually ship popular pairings, for some reason, but I was always aware of the less popular dynamic regarding top and bottom. And those people, sometimes they complained about too much of the ooc popular pairing, with the same people, but they mostly created content and just talked with each other.

But in the ORV fandom it's different. I know there are Dokjoong fans, from the asks I've received, from comments on my Dokjoong fics, and in reddit there was a poll and JoongDok won by only like 10+ votes! Here.

But when it comes to fics and fanart, Dokjoong is seriously lacking. And every day there's new Kim Dokja angst fics or JoongDok porn. There can be like one Dokjoong fic, but it'll be drowned out by JoongDok fics or just Kim Dokja angst fics.

I can only conclude that people in this fandom who ship Dokjoong are scared to write Dokjoong for some reason. Or just...hesitant.

And I think that's because of Kim Dokja. Kim Dokja is a very loved character, people use other characters for him (especially Yoo Joonghyuk sadly) and his great sacrifice leaves readers wanting more of him.

I like Kim Dokja. I like bottom Kim Dokja. I've read bottom Kim Dokja. I've written bottom Kim Dokja (and it was wildly popular too, even more popular than my Dokjoong fics sadly). I'm a jdj shipper also so i do like bottom Kim Dokja and I can see the appeal of bottom Kim Dokja. It can be hot. But it's really too much.

We ship different ships yeah, JoongDok and DokJoong shippers generally don't interact with each other, because people ship different ships. That's true, and accepted.

But when the fandom doesn't even have one Modern AU Multi-chap even though it's the same people, something is seriously wrong here.

Like, I think DokJoong is not taken seriously and that's the sad thing.

People love Kim Dokja so much and JoongDok that DokJoong is not really taken seriously, like people are so used to Kim Dokja being the focus, Kim Dokja being loved. That Yoo Joonghyuk is an afterthought.

Smut Bottom Kim Dokja fics early on was not even tagged as Bottom Kim Dokja, as if it was a common consensus and expectation for Kim Dokja to bottom. They were only tagged by the kinks.

The few Multi-chap (like below 5 chapters, when I say Multi-chap I mean like 10+ chap btw), Modern AU of DokJoong people seem to like it but......it doesn't seem to be taken seriously, like it's nice and hot and cute and sweet and yes bottom Yoo Joonghyuk!

But it isn't really taken seriously, emotionally.

Like I saw some comments from fics back in 2020 or 2022 or so, and the people clearly took angst bottom Kim Dokja Modern AU seriously, they felt emotional about it and Kim Dokja.

I say Modern AU Multi-chap for Dokjoong because...that's the most popular kind of story to have angst for your favourite character and feel emotional for them.

This is just my analysis, but like....DokJoong as a pairing seems to not be taken seriously (even by DokJoong fans maybe), what I mean is...like, yeah DokJoong, Kim Dokja tops but also takes care of Yoo Joonghyuk, and Yoo Joonghyuk is loved. And Yoo Joonghyuk's character is explored, OOC or not.

Those comments from back in 2018 - 2022 appreciated the Dokjoong fics because of the lack of it, but it just seemed like 'Yeah Yoo Joonghyuk is loved, fics where Yoo Joonghyuk is loved finally!' And that's it. It's like it was just for one moment in time.

At least that's what I've seen from A03.

While in other fandom, the less popular pairing dynamic, for example like...yeah ZhongliChilde not ChildeZhongli, Childe can be loved, our precious Childe can be loved, oh it's hot when Zhongli tops too. We really ship ZhongliChilde, Childe is so cute. Childe's appearing more in Genshin Impact! Yes, our precious Childe.

And they ship it, and they write it, and don't really care about ChildeZhongli even though it was much more popular, they just create content for what they like.

While for Kim Dokja and Yoo Joonghyuk, I sense there's like an inertia or hesitance to write DokJoong especially seriously (I'm talking long Multi-chap fic)...because of how popular and loved Kim Dokja is, how many Kim Dokja fics there are and how JoongDok is the status quo because of how loved Kim Dokja is, because of Kim Dokja is loved by people.

Trust me I like Kim Dokja, I love Kim Dokja, I like Kim Dokja a whole lot (that's why I tried to do a bottom Kim Dokja Transmigration AU, a popular idea), but the love for Kim Dokja really shouldn't stop people from writing Kim Dokja as top and Yoo Joonghyuk as bottom. Or rather, it really shouldn't stop people from writing Yoo Joonghyuk as bottom.

Sorry, I just don't know what else to say. I feel the DokJoong fandom is lacking even in relation to other less popular ships fandoms...and that's really sad.

Kim Dokja is loved, but it really shouldn't stop the focus on other characters. Especially Yoo Joonghyuk who Kim Dokja left with a bitter ending to be honest.

Kim Dokja wouldn't like it either, if he knew people's love for him stopped people from loving his precious Yoo Joonghyuk, lol.

I'm just one person and I can't do it alone. But this is just what I've seen.

I think someone else has to step up for DokJoong besides me. I'm not really the type to lead people in something or convince people on something. I'm just more the type to analyze and share my analyses and point of view, that's all.

Yeah I know I'm a bit of a hypocrite because my Dokjoong Multi-chap AU (can't be counted though, since it's Advanced Modern AU even though I counted it at first) Met You and Love is still waiting for an update while I went to write my jdj fics even a new one, who knows maybe I'm affected by the fandom too? No actually Kim Dokja is just too fun to write in that chat fic (so I can understand the appeal of writing Kim Dokja really) but! Yoo Joonghyuk receives care there too

But nah, I think I'm affected by the fandom too.

AN ORV JOONGDOK/DOKHYUK ANALYSIS OF HIS HANDS BY BLEGH

SPOILERS AHEAD

Okay so this is a song I have been OBSESSED WITH recently that I of course have to connect to my current favorite fandom and ship, Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint and Kim Dokja/Yoo Joonghyuk.

The essence of "His Hands" by Blegh is about a relationship that, while it already has love, may yet cause the speaker to "fall in love" (though they contemplate that it might have already happened).

This relationship is also filled with wanting and anxiety because there is a yawning chasm between the speaker and their muse formed from the now visible chasm between who they each are and who they perceive the other to be.

The pain evoked in "His Hands" echoes that of the relationship between Kim Dokja and Yoo Joonghyuk. While it is contentious whether there are romantic elements between the two, the tension that fills Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint is undeniable.

I personally believe (and have agreements from others I forced to talk about this song with me) that "His Hands" works from both perspectives of the JDJ relationship. For them, the song is more like a duet than a solo.

Onto the lyrics!

I expect you've listened to the song, class.

I kissed every stranger in the corridor that night

The first line shadows the way both Kim Dokja and Yoo Joonghyuk search for each other in other people when it is combined with the final line of the song:

I kissed every stranger in the corridor that night I think I was searching for the taste of you in everyone

For Dokja, it all starts at the beginning. Yoo Joonghyuk is his protagonist, the one who became a father figure, a friend, someone to root for and rail against. He poured into the novel Yoo Joonghyuk all of the relationships he so desperately needed but never received.

This also reflects the (unhealthy, though so much of what Dokja does is) way that Kim Dokja constantly compares others to Yoo Joonghyuk, including the real Joonghyuk himself. If they don't fit Kim Dokja's perception of them, what their "canon" is in his mind, he often discards their actions in favor of keeping their image in his mind until he is actually forced to reckon with their humanity, something the Fourth Wall works so tirelessly to prevent.

Meanwhile, in the epilogue Joonghyuk is literally searching for Kim Dokja's fragments in other worldlines. But there is also the metaphorical way he has been so affected by Dokja's existence and how it intertwines with his own that it now colors the way he sees everything.

We are a collection of all the people we've loved, after all.

This directly connects to the rest of the first verse:

I kept changing his mind He kept changing my mind His hands, his hands

There is a constant, visceral connection of love and hands in Blegh's work. Human hands mold and destroy and change things in ways that nothing else (except perhaps human relationships) can.

The hands here are not physically changing anything, instead they change the speaker's mind, their perceptions.

I really like Mikey in this episode, i love him saying that he knows every krang base in Dimension X, that's fucking cool, i like that alot. I like references to him knowing alot about Dimension X and the Kraang. I think it fits alot and i jusgt uoabdhijsdlfhijonkg jdj <3

I think aprils fun in this episode, I like seeing her fight in major moments(all tho moments that aren't as major can be quite lackluster sadly, The fight between her and Karai comes to mind, I cringed so much mherjheheeehehe) I think she can be a really good character when she isn't getting pushed to the sidelines or being used as a crush for donnie and casey and nothing else. I like when she's a badass. :3

I swear they had a new intro for season 3 with the cool ass outfits(The like, more grey outfits) and then they used them like... 3 times in the whole series after the farmhouse arc thing. and even during the farmhouse arc they didn't use them much :( I really like those outfits, they look really good, i wish they used them more brrr
