Seriously, it's terf rhetoric. It was hashed out on Tumblr *years* ago. It was after they failed to convince people to kick out ace/aros, they moved to bi lesbians.

Terfs literally hate an umbrella word. Lesbian was always an umbrella word describing wlw because it was a damn diagnosis. It was a label cishet people used to pathologize any and all wlw they encountered.

yeah i had someone say that they knew a ton of queer history and knew that lesbianism was always about excluding men. like mate i don't care what you think the word means NOWADAYS but historically that was NOT THE CASE LOL. from every single lesbian ive ever talked to the defining trait of being a lesbian is thinking women are so swag and cool. kinda reminds me how there was debate on if you had to have body dysphoria to be trans. no mate!! why are you defining yourself by the exclusion and the negatives!!!! celebrate what you love!!!

do you have any recommendations or resources for drawing skeletons in a simple style?

I feel like I’m pretty decent at drawing the skull but trying to get everything else is intimidating

So I do have a reference tag that's not very busy for skeleton art reference info (this post has some books recommended by a follower; this post is a tutorial for drawing simple skeletons; this post has a link to a 3d moveable skeleton; that's basically it so far.) I'm not much of an arty person so I don't have any advice but hopefully there's something useful in the links.

If anyone else has tips or advice feel free to add on!

hmmmm not that i can think of, really!!! i do like messing with eyes and teeth but those dont actually pop up in my art super often, theyre more in the margins of notes or my sketchbook

first of all leaning more towards recent stuff i. so so adore the arcane art style. i attempted to learn digital painting to replicate it even slightly and i did not do well but lord if i dont deeply enjoy the style....

and then all the way back towards art history!!! claude monet got something fucking right with his art istg, the water lilies make me feel shrimp emotions and theyre PAINTINGS OF FLOWERS i dont fully understand it but its. ough. i love his art so very much.

👀👀👀 I'm looking at the tags on your last post and do I see a suggestion of Dom!Lucifer radioapple??? I don't ever think I read a dom!Lucifer fic (because the fandom immediately clocked Lucifer as the sub he is), so I say I'm extremely intrigued!!

Also, wow does Alastor have a talent for getting the Most Pathetic Guys Ever (Lucifer and Vox) to dom him. Like, it's a skill at this point lol.

CONGRATS, YOU'VE ACTIVATED MY TRAP CARD: I actually have thoughts about this!

I firmly believe that Lucifer is The Sub Of All Time in literally any other context, but I also think that Alastor very deliberately and skillfully hit just the right buttons in canon that Lucifer cannot back down in front of this asshole. If I transpose that into a bedroom dynamic, then... (un)fortunately for Alastor, he is punching out of his weight class.

It's a massively different dynamic in my head than radiostatic because the key balance of radiostatic is that it's a perpetual bit of careful give-and-take to balance their mutual ego-obsessions and for Alastor to not feel like he's taken psychic damage to his pride and thus needing to remind Vox (either by being verbally mean or by taking a physical stance) that Vox doesn't really have control in the situation. (Which is also why I get a little giggle when people comment on the hypnokink fic with something like, "What if Vox did [thing Alastor would not be okay with]? Wouldn't that be fucked?!" because... yes, but also, he wouldn't survive the night and he knows that.) (Also the hypnokink fic is somehow not the one where they work out trust issues. That's the NEXT one.)

Anyway, in contrast, radioapple has the dynamic of Lucifer being the one person in hell who there is no way I can imagine Alastor could match up against even at full power... which, yes, means that Lucifer can swat him down if he gets tetchy, but also kinda spares Alastor's pride at the same time! He can snap his teeth about it for some performative ego-maintenance, but it's like getting mad that you can't literally fistfight the sun. It just doesn't make sense. Nobody would ever expect that to be a reasonable match up. Alastor's narcissism doesn't get prodded by Lucifer the same way that it would if Vox tried something.

... Also, I think it'd be really funny if radioapple was just sub on sub violence. Lucifer knows what gets him going and he's going to inflict that on Alastor with great prejudice. Meanwhile his internal dialogue is nonstop references to back when his wife used to fuck him up just like this.

if there's one [1] thing i will be forever grateful for in the internet era it's the vast variety and availability of pose / anatomy references supplied by photographers and models

i can go online and find PERFECT references for how fat folds crease the skin or how muscles wrap around the body and as someone who habitually draws most of his OCs ~modestly lean~ and wants to hone his skill in other body types, it is literally a godsend to have those refs so readily available

seriously, thank you all models and photographers for providing me the resources i need to expand my art skills i owe u my life

#drawing other body types is important to me #not just for my own Art Skill but for my audience and clients too #i've seen many a post in my many years on the internet of people saddened for not seeing themselves or their OCs represented in artists wor #esp when it comes to fat characters when it comes to body types #and i can imagine it's Super hard when you wanna comm someone but you're worried they'll slim down your OC #and regardless of whether the artist does it intentionally or not - it still sucks!! #i have a couple OCs - one fat and one meant to be kinda strong-bulky and i wanna use them more for example art #i also wanna play more with different skintones and hairstyles so i think i may make some human OCs to work on those with #ppl have called my art godly / called me an art god and while i'm iffy on being called some kind of god in any sense [despite the username] #i can only ever hope to live up to that praise by having my audience feel properly represented when i draw something that relates to them #obligatory mention that the username is solely bc of an OC of mine who i love dearly
