Okay I know I've already posted about this but I can't get over the fact that if the next book is about Elriel, then as readers we will be entering their story having missed all of the early romantic development between them, because it has happened off page. We have not been privy to a single private conversation between the two of them aside from the very brief bonus chapter. Not to mention we have zero Elain POV thus far. It would be so unlike Sarah to plop us into a romance that she developed without the us along for the journey. This is why I felt so awkward reading their almost-kiss. It caught me off guard, because despite seeing evidence of a growing friendship between them, there is no indication of any lust in ACOWAR and onward. They interact, but briefly, and these interactions are only observed from other character's POVs. We see Azriel defend her and rescue her, and we see Elain gift him a gift. But we don't get to hear what they talk about, or what they do when they are alone. This is what bothers me most about Elriel. I love the growth Sarah gives us between the two characters she's focused on. We get to see the love blossom slowly and thoroughly, but that wouldn't be true in the case of Elain and Azriel. We will have missed a big chunk of the build.

ive seen so many people say stuff to shit on Lucien for example, ''Lucien only left with Feyre to the night court for Elain not Feyre!''

and many people have defended this fact but is it just me who doesn't gaf?

Like hell yeah he left for his mate. He was easily willing to travel through 7 courts for her. LIke who cares if he didn't do it for Feyre? It's not like Feyre wasn't using him as her toy in her little plan. Tbh tamlin deserved to be humbled but the people of the court did not.

I think its SJMs fault though. She writes that tamlin is mistreating his people and because of that, Feyre destroys his land and people?

As you can see I can never really stick to one topic.

Anyways Lucien has shown genuine concern for Feyre (couldn't care less is he hasn't) although I choose to uplift the fact that he left his high lord who saved him from the AC risking his second home all for Elain Archeron. He is an exile because he chose to leave for Elain.

So yeah he did not leave for Feyre :p HE LEFT FOR HIS MATEEEE

Dare I say I hate the theory that elain and lucien will take over spring and become high lady and high lord.Mainly because it depends on tamlin dying and that is not happening on my watch 🙅.It baffles me that people think tamlin’s story should end with him sacrificing himself and dying.Like sure the super depressed guy’s story should end with him dying—I think the fuck not 🤨,and do we really think lucien’s closest friend dying would be part of his happy ending like?? Lucien going back to spring would also be doing his story and character a huge disservice,obviously he’ll always be connected to spring but him living there again would just be his character regressing in my opinion .Not to mention he’s literally heir to the day court and that doesn’t mean he’ll be high lord next book (helion better stay alive)but this man belongs in sunshine he’s never gonna be ruling spring 🗣️!!

A lot of people also wanna see elain and lucien fixing the SC but the only person who should be fixing the SC is tamlin.Lucien is not tamlin’s babysitter and he sure as hell shouldn't be fixing his court for him,and elain shouldn’t be dragged along. I definitely think we’ll see elucien at the spring court at some point but I don’t think that’s where their story will take place.

I was reading theories on tiktok and just had this epiphany where it comes to Elains seer abilities and lucien.

I think Elain is so awkward and has been avoiding Lucien because she has Seen him with another person romantically (I think vassa)whether in the present or future, so she feels weird playing the role of mate even just being courteous, and also I think that though she knows he loves someone else, as she also does with Azriel, she has also Seen a scenario where their bond comes into play in the future in a very important (not romantic) way so thats why she hasn’t rejected it yet. I definitely think shes had a lot more visions and has worked on her abilities a lot more than anyone else knows.

Everyone else is playing go-fish and shes playing chess 😂
