Hey y’all! I want to participate in the Marvel Trumps Hate auction again this year, but I want to make the plushies ahead of time (so I can get them in the mail in time for the holidays). That means I have to pick what to make, and I’m kind of stuck. These aren’t the only options, but here are some things I’m thinking of making: - crocodile Loki - Labrathor (Thor as a labrador) - small crochet Iron Man (and possibly also Captain America) - Bucky Bear (and/or Winter Soldier Bear) - crochet baby groot - maybe Jeff, the Baby Land Shark? - something I haven’t thought of because I haven’t kept up with the more recent movies

I was kinda thinking about how we named Nick... My dad wanted a short name because our late dog was Kim. I suggested Thor (only for the reason he would be a labraThor) but nope. He knew someone who had a dog named Thor that was terrified of thunderstorms plus he said it sounded too hard.

So of course Loki was my next suggestion. Mom (who has no idea about norse mythology) said it sounded too feminine... And that's because I set my name in her phone as Loki the Trickster as a prank...

But my mom texted me "What about Nick?"

And I replied "Nice like Nick Valentine!"

...I didn't explain exactly who Nick Valentine is... Just told her he's an old-time detective from a game I like... And my mom was on board "detectives are supposed to be smart"

And now we have probably the smartest dog we ever had who loves loud noises and will talk back to you.

So yeah my dog is basically named after the synth detective from Fallout 4

Hey y’all! I’m coming up on the deadline for the MTH charity auction, and I had intended to have things done ahead of time but I’ve decided to just make the plushies after the auctions (except Jeff, who is already done). That means I can include more flexibility in the auction about options of what I can make, and start sewing after the winning bidder picks what they want. So far, things I’m thinking of offering as options include: - Jeff the Land Shark - Labrathor (Thor as a labrador) - Crocodile Loki  - Lokitty (Loki as a cat) - Bucky Bear - a giant spider with a terrible wig as Natasha Romanoff  I don’t want to make like...actual dolls of the human (or humanoid) characters (my style of sewing is better suited to puns and Land Sharks lol). I will not make hydra characters.  With those caveats in mind, do y’all have any suggestions of other Marvel characters I could offer plushies of for the auction? The only Marvel movie or TV show I’ve seen since Civil War was the Loki show (or maybe Black Panther? I’m not sure which movie came first) so if you have any suggestions of things from MCU after that that would make good plushies I’d love suggestions! Or from the comics. I have read some of the comics, but my comics knowledge ends like a decade ago (I mostly read comics a guy in my high school english class lent me, and after high school I only read a few)

Remembering last year when we were grilling and a really fucking bad storm came...

So we're chilling in the pergola

And the skatepark two houses from ours gets hit by lightning. I swear I never heard a noise like that before

And Nick just runs out in the direction of the skate park and starts barking super loud at the sky. Like really pissed off bark too.

Two things about Nicky

He weirdly likes loud noises and loves fireworks. We don't know why he probably got it from his mom who loved riding a four-wheeler.

And If a loud noise startles him he will do anything to be even louder than the original noise.

So in conclusion he got startled then he got angry and then started swearing at Thor himself.
