Lmao what if you mixed Feralnette au with Ladybug Deity au
She’s feral on both sides now :}
you see the especially fun thing about that is, in the raw feralnette au, marinette essentially drives away all her friends (for their own good, she argues) while in the Ladybug Deity au, marinette distances herself from chat noir in an attempt to keep him safe from hawkmoth (for his own safety, she argues)
so what you get in a combo au is a buginette who has successfully taken back hawkmoth and mayura's miraculi! at the cost of absolutely everything.
Tumblr media
the issue is, chat noir is also stubborn and has no idea what happened to his lady OR hawkmoth, he's totally out of the loop. he does eventually find Ladybug, but feels terrible about what's happened. he wishes he had been there to help her, because she's no less a hero or a person to him, even after all this.
Tumblr media
the upside to this is that the spell between tikki and marinette CAN wear off! however, it takes the same amount of time to wear off as it took to get to this point, which is, give or take, about half a year, and she has to not use her miraculous ladybug abilities for that entire duration, or it'll re-trigger the transformation.
Luckily, since his father and his guardian are in prison, (he's told it was tax evasion, a cover-up the Ladybug told the authorities to leak out to hide the scandal and protect Adrien) an old friend of the family on Adrien's mother's side successfully slipped in to help finish his upbringing.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
and there's no friend like Felix who can keep a secret. :)c

How Far We’ve Come
Summary: An akuma throws Chat Noir twelve years back into his past. He finds himself face to face with his fourteen year old self. They have a heart felt chat. A fic about self compassion and love.
Ao3 Link
Chat Noir hated time travel akumas. That hadn’t always been the case. At one point he had found them fascinating, and often absolutely stoked to find himself at different points in history where he could see the world in an entirely different context. He had once been thrown all the way back to Paris under Louis XI. And the future was often exciting to visit as well, if only to get a sneak peek at what technology might look like in five to five hundred years.
But he had quickly learned that time travel into a time that didn’t recognize him as a superhero often meant he was recognized as the opposite - a harbinger of death or a dark omen. He was met with fear or worse, outright hostility. He had been on the run more than once when Bunnyx had pulled him back to his own time.
The current time portal had thrown him into a Paris that looked almost identical to the Paris he knew and loved. It was close enough that he couldn’t easily articulate the difference, which likely meant he hadn’t traveled that far in time.
The only question was had he arrived in a time before or after Stoneheart. Hopefully after because he knew from experience it wouldn’t take long for someone to notice him even if he just sat unmoving on this rooftop. And he would prefer to be recognized as a friend instead of a foe.
He was almost relieved at the explosion that rocked the building beneath his feet less than a minute later. After Stoneheart it was!
He immediately vaulted towards the blast. A much younger Ladybug and Chat Noir were already on the scene. This might be the youngest version of himself Chat Noir had ever had the pleasure of meeting.
The younger Chat Noir in front of him had to be like fourteen. Maybe fifteen. He had been an idiot at fifteen. How had Master Fu ever thought they could be trusted with the miraculouses at that age?
But even if he thought the old man insane at this point in his life, the adult Chat Noir was incredibly grateful for his decision to entrust a young Marinette Dupain-Cheng and Adrien Agreste with the miraculous of creation and destruction.
Because that had been a crucial turning point in his life. One that led to the life that Adrien Dupain-Cheng led now. An amazing life where he found freedom and connection, held a tiny human in his hands that was his daughter, all with the most inspiring woman by his side. He would not give it up. Not for anything.
The three of them working in tandem made short work of the akuma.
“Are you… me?” young Chat Noir asked, eying him from foot to toe, his eyes lingering on the changes to the suit.
“Yes. I was thrown here due to an accident,” he explained, intentionally keeping everything vague.
“Am I allowed to ask how old you are?”
“Twenty-six, but I can’t tell you much else.”
“Well, thanks for the assist!” young Chat Noir said as he offered the traditional fist bump. Adult Chat met his younger self’s offered fist feeling more than a bit nostalgic. He and his lady didn’t usually wrap up battles with a fist bump anymore. “You were ameowzing!”
The older version, grinned. “You too! You were puurfect!”
“Oh my god!” Ladybug interjected, landing beside the two of them. “Just stop!”
“Don’t be like that, Buginette, ” adult Chat said, a huge grin stretching across his face as he took in young Marinette up close. She floored him at every age, but seeing her like this was definitely a treat. Because this was more than a memory. This was the girl who had blown his concept of the world out of orbit, who would always find the strength to stand up when it mattered even when she had stopped believing in herself, she would outsmart and capture Shawdowmoth before she reached her majority, and she had somehow found it within herself to never stop loving him in spite of everything. “We’re just practicing some self-love.”
“Ego stroking is more like it!” she sassed back.
“You know you love us!” young Chat said.
She rolled her eyes. “In your dreams, kitty cats.” She turned to the older one. “So how do I fix your temporal displacement?”
He smiled reassuringly. “Don’t worry about it. My team’s got it. You can head out. I’m sure you’ve enough to take care of.” He smiled fondly. Marinette was probably a newly minted Guardian and he remembered very clearly she had been stressed out of her mind around that time. He wondered if she had broken down and told Alya yet. He shook his head. It didn’t matter. He tilted his head toward his younger self. “I will hang out with mini me. He’ll keep me out of trouble.”
“Right,” she drawled.
Adult Chat Noir held up three fingers. “Cat’s honor.”
“Well, I do have a ton to take care of. See you later, Chaton,” she said, addressing her own partner. Then she turned to him. “Chaton,” but this time she blushed.
He smirked as she flew off. She had never been as unaffected by Chat Noir as she pretended, but it was nice to be able to fluster her so easily just having gained a few years. And it certainly was nearly impossible to fluster his wife though he had other techniques at this point to press her buttons.
His younger self stood next to him, coming up to his shoulder. “How long are you here? I don’t think I can hide you at the mansion.”
“I wouldn’t be caught dead there anyway,” adult Chat said stiffly. “No, let’s head to your favorite spot instead. I shouldn’t be here more than an hour or so.”
Bunnyx didn’t like to leave temporal displacements alone for long. But she had to track him down first. He figured he had an hour or two to kill.
“Isn’t it your favorite spot?” his younger self asked with furrowed eyebrows.
Adult Chat shook his head. “Nope! I have a new favorite spot.” The spot where he and Marinette had revealed themselves to each other.
Young Chat vaulted off the rooftop and his older self followed suit a split second later. It didn’t take long to reach the balcony in question. Adrien had always liked this spot because it had such an amazing view of the sunset, but it wasn’t that easy to see onto the balcony from the ground, so he had some semblance of privacy here. They sat next to each other not really speaking, but older Chat was just biding his time to see how long young him could hold in his questions.
It wasn’t long. “Well?!” the younger indignant voice exploded a few minutes later.
“Well what?” adult Chat Noir responded, unruffled.
“I’m assuming you know what!”
Adult Chat continued to gaze out across the city. “I can’t tell you anything.”
“Why not?”
Chat turned towards his teenage self. “Well, I happen to really like my life and if I tell you something you’re not supposed to know you might screw it up.”
“Or I might make things better,” young Chat suggested.
Adult Chat smiled fondly at this version of himself. “Where are we in the timeline exactly?” he asked.
Young Chat Noir told him the date.
Old chat shook his head. “You think I remember the exact dates?! Like, what’s going on?”
The boy beside him fidgeted in his suit. “Umm… Ladybug has been acting weird lately. Being the Guardian has been difficult for her, but I think she’s going through something else, too.”
“What’s going on with you?”
“Oh… I don’t know. School is school, father is…”
“Father is a dick,” Adult Chat cut in.
“You sound like Nino.”
Adult Chat smiled. “I’ll take that as a compliment. What does Kagami mean to you?”
“Oh,” and the teen in front of him completely deflated. “She… she and I broke up last week.”
Adult Chat nodded.
“I feel really bad for hurting her. But I’m not heartbroken. Not the way she is.”
“It’s always about Ladybug still.”
Young Chat eyes flared indignantly. “What do you mean, still?! Are you saying it won’t always be about Ladybug?!”
Adult Chat Noir laughed. “Adrien, your life shouldn’t be about Ladybug.”
“Who should it be about?” he asked, his voice suddenly soft with uncertainty. He had been so lost at this age, but adult Chat was also excited for him. Sure, things were about to get a lot worse, but then right after that everything would get so much better and he wouldn’t really ever have another reason to doubt where he stood with the people in life. From his friends to his father to Ladybug.
“You,” he responded. “Your life should be about you.”
“But…”
Chat took a different track. “You’ve already confessed to Ladybug. What did she say?”
“She said she was in love with someone else,” young Chat admitted dejectedly. “But she’ll come around. I know she will!”
“And now you sound really entitled.”
“What do you mean?”
“Look, I know exactly how much you love Ladybug. I know that you’ve saved her life and that you’ve died to protect her. I know that she lit up your world when you were feeling really lonely. And that she inspired you to want to be more than you are as yourself. Does all that mean that she owes it to you to fall in love with you?”
Young Chat’s green eyes blew wide open. “I didn’t mean… Oh god! Do you think that she thinks that I...?”
Adult Chat laughed. “I promise you that she doesn’t.”
Young Chat’s shoulders sagged. “I know that she doesn’t owe me anything,” he said. “I do! I just… she fell in love with me once when we lost our memories.”
“I remember.”
Young Chat’s head shot up. “You remember Oblivio?!”
Old Chat shook his head. “No. I meant I remember wondering and obsessing over Oblivio.” He leaned forward. “Can I ask you a question?”
“Sure.”
“If Ladybug’s civilian self asked you out, what do you think you’d say?”
“I would accept! Of course I would!”
“But what if you didn’t know it was her?”
“There’s no way I wouldn’t recognize her!”
Adult Chat laughed. “What if I told you that you’ve already met her, she’s interested, and you’ve completely missed it?”
Young Chat paled. “Has that happened?! Have I rejected Ladybug?!”
“I can’t say one way or the other. It’s a hypothetical.”
“What are you saying?”
“Just that Ladybug is never going to date as her superhero self. Maybe it’s best if you let yourself let her go, and consider other possibilities in your civilian life.”
“Are you saying I end up with Ladybug as a civilian just by pursuing who I’m interested in?”
“I promise nothing.”
Young Chat pouted. “You’re being remarkably vague.”
Adult Chat laughed. “Well, one time I wasn’t and apparently the world ended?”
“What?!”
“Yeah, you were akumatized as Chat Blanc and destroyed the whole ecosystem of the world when you took out the moon.”
“What?!”
“ Your Ladybug even remembers one of those events. She’s convinced it was caused by you knowing her identity. She’s wrong. She misunderstood something Chat Blanc told her. It wasn’t you knowing. It was Hawkmoth figuring out who you were that led to your akumatization.”
He watched as his younger self rapidly absorbed this new information.
“I destroyed the world?” he whispered.
“You haven’t actually,” adult Chat said firmly.
“But you said…”
“It hasn’t happened, and if Bunnyx is any good at her job it won’t ever happen.”
“But I’m capable of it?” He asked, his voice small.
Adult Chat gestured to the ring on their fingers. “Kid, this isn’t some decoration, or even a toy that grants you freedom. It’s the power of destruction. So yeah, you’re capable of destroying everything even without the help of an akuma once you learn to tap into more of its power.”
“Maybe… I should give it up then?”
Adult Chat Noir shook his head. “I can’t make that decision for you, but know that anyone with that ring could destroy everything. And there are so many out there who would abuse it. Shadowmoth being at the top of that list.”
“But you’re here as Chat Noir. Doesn’t that mean that you’ve already made the decision for me?”
Adult Chat Noir sighed. “You’ve given up the ring before in New York. How did that work out for you?”
Younger Chat remained silent. “I couldn’t do it. She needed me.”
Adult Chat Noir smiled. Young Adrien couldn’t know yet, but he would try to give up the ring one more time. And that was when he would learn exactly how much his lady needed him, and why he was the perfect holder for destruction. It would be rough for him.
They fell into silence, only the sound of a slight breeze rustling in their sensitive cat ears.
“So Ladybug and I can know each other before Hawkmoth’s defeat?” young Chat Noir asked into the silence.
“See, that’s the tricky part. You knowing each other makes it a lot easier for Hawkmoth to figure you both out. And I can’t tell you why.”
“So what are you saying?”
“I’m saying to not worry about it. It will happen eventually. But you don’t have to wait to know Ladybug’s name to be happy. You can be happy now…”
“But not necessarily with Ladybug,” young Chat concluded.
Adult Chat shrugged. “Maybe not with anyone. You need to be able to love yourself.”
“She’s literally my other half!”
“Yeah, she’s had a profound impact on you. She’s shown you a better role model for who you want to be and how to love. And you’ve had a profound impact on her, too. You’ve taught her how to be brave. That has carried over to every aspect of her life. You helped a quiet shy girl find her voice.”
Young Chat Noir stared at him in shock. “What?! I didn’t teach her that. She was always that way.”
Adult Chat laughed. “How would you know? You didn’t know her before she met you and she’s always kept her personal life close to her chest. You’ve barely seen anything.”
“Are you saying that I don’t know her?”
“Of course you know her. You know a huge part of her that no one else gets to touch. To even know about.” Unless she had told Alya already, but even then, Alya had nothing on Chat Noir in knowing Marinette as Ladybug. “But that doesn’t mean you know all of her.”
“Are you implying that my feelings for her are not real?” And now his younger self’s voice was hot with anger.
Adult Chat suppressed a sigh. He had been such a broken record at this age. Talking to him about anything always led back to Ladybug. He supposed it made sense. She was the brightest light in his life at this point.
“Of course they’re real. That’s not what I’m saying. I’m saying you need to learn to do what’s best for you. Not what’s best for Ladybug. Not what’s best for your friends. And certainly, not what’s best for father,” he bit out that last part.
“What did he do?”
“I can’t tell you.”
“You really seem to hate him.”
“I don’t hate him,” adult Chat insisted, but even he wasn’t certain if he was telling the truth or lying out his ears. “I am angry with him.”
“I think sometimes I am angry with him, too,” Young Chat admitted softly.
Adult Chat nodded. “Good. I’m glad you’re already starting to realize that.”
Young Chat Noir wilted. “Does it ever get better?”
Adult Chat grabbed him by the shoulders. “Adrien, look at me.”
Green eyes swiveled towards him slowly.
“My life is amazing. I wish with every fiber of my being that I could give you all the details, but it’s for you to live, to fight for, and to build. You’re going to go through a lot, and honestly, I don’t think you’ll ever stop going through stuff. That’s just the nature of life. But I promise you all the loneliness, pain, and doubt that you’re feeling now - all of it - will be worth it. The darkest time is yet to come, but so is the brightest. I promise you that much.”
And in that moment a portal opened right next to them.
“Looks like my ride is here,” adult Chat quipped, rising to his feet.
His younger self smiled. “Adrien?”
“Yeah?”
“Thank you.”
“Of course, kid,” he said, giving him a shoulder bump. “I’d wish you luck, but I don’t think you need it.”
And then he stepped into the portal, and into the burrow.
“Have a nice chat?” Bunnyx asked with a smirk.
“Yeah. There was a lot about this time I had forgotten. It’s good to be reminded sometimes how far we’ve all come.”
Bunnyx smiled at him. “You have no idea how far you still have to go.”
He shook his head in fond exasperation. She just couldn’t help but tease them all with her knowledge of their whole timeline.
“I look forward to the journey,” he said, knowing there was no point in asking for spoilers. He’s not sure he would want them anyway.

While the Eng dub used "bugaboy" which is already p adorable, in the French dub Lady Noire actually calls Mister Bug "Buguinet" (pronounced "bug-in-eh") which is just the masculine version of his nickname for her, "Buguinette." So she was still basically calling him "little bug" 💕
also yes the correct spelling is actually "Buguinette" and not "Buginette", bc French pronunciation rules require the "u" after the "g" to make the hard "g" sound like in "bug" (think of how "baguette" is spelled), otherwise it'd be pronounced like "buj-in-ette" (which makes me think of "boujie" or Budgie Parakeets lmao 🦜)

Never Give up!
Written by: JuliaFC
Beta: @rose-beagle-bagel (I beg your pardon, got the names confused!)
Summary: After Gabriel lowers his bar by locking Adrien up in his room unless he relinquishes his ring (because apparently, 'it interferes with his work'), Chat Noir can see only one solution. But Ladybug doesn't agree.
Disclaimer: This story is based on characters and situations created and owned by (c) Thomas Astruc, TS1 Bouygues, Disney Channel, Zagtoon, Toei Animation. No money is being made and no copyright or trademark infringement is intended.
Written for the "Snippet July" challenge of the Miraculous Fanworks Discord server @miraculousfanworks AND for LadyNoir July @ladynoirjuly Day 8 — Tyranny/Admiration. Let me know what you think!
oOoOoOoOoOo
Adrien knocked at the door of his father's atélier and waited for him to tell him to come in.
"Adrien," commanded Gabriel. Adrien gulped and stood there.
"You wanted to speak with me, father?" he asked, his heart drumming in his ears.
Gabriel gave him a cold stare. "It has come to my attention that you wear items of clothing that haven't been agreed in the exclusivity contract of the Agreste brand."
"What?" Adrien had to check that he'd heard correctly. "Father, I only wear the clothes you provide for me."
Gabriel's gaze hardened. "Show me your hands."
Adrien gasped. "Is it about my ring?"
"François complained after yesterday's photoshoot. He told you to take the ring off because it was interfering with the outfit, and you refused. Is this true?"
"I-it is." Adrien gulped. Gabriel’s gaze punctured his soul and the boy put his left hand on top of his right one, as if to protect his Miraculous from his father's attention.
"Hand over the ring."
Adrien's face paled "No! No, father, why? You can't—"
"I can and I will, Adrien. Your attachment to that junk has affected your work. It's stated clearly in your contract that all you wear must be pre-approved. I won't give you my approval for something that can damage your image."
"Father!" retorted Adrien, his body tense. "It's only a ring!"
"Go back to your chamber. I'll cancel your enrollment at school; from tomorrow you shall resume your homeschooling lessons with Nathalie." Gabriel sneered when Adrien gasped. "You won't be allowed to see any of your friends nor to set foot out of this house until you relinquish that ring."
Adrien's eyes widened in shock and his mouth hung open. "You can't be serious, father? Containing me in my room, for a ring?"
"If it was only that, you would've relinquished it here and now. Evidently, it's not 'only a ring' to you. You're refusing a direct order. I won't repeat myself, go to your chamber."
Adrien balled both hands into fists, his arms shaking, his eyes looking down. "I can't believe this," he muttered. He got up and, glaring at his father with tears in his eyes, dragged himself out of his office.
oOoOoOoOoOo
Chat heard the soft thump behind him and saw Ladybug sitting graciously next to him. His gaze scanned gloomily the city of Love beneath them. A view that until now, had been for him and his Lady, only. A look that he would never see again. His heart sank when his gaze met bluebells. It was the only way.
"You said that it was important, Chaton?" said Ladybug, but she immediately noticed his heavy gloom. "What's wrong?"
"I… need to give my Miraculous back." Ladybug sucked her breath in. "I'm sorry."
She put a hand on his shoulder. " W-what's going on?"
He lowered his gaze as his hand played with the Miraculous on his ring finger. "My life at home isn't easy, Buginette. I have a lot of restrictions and up to now, I have been able to pencil time for our patrols and escape timely enough to help you in the akuma fights." He sighed. "But things have changed today. My fath-uh-family is very controlling. I can’t do anything that isn't 'pre-approved'." He paused. "Today, I've been asked to relinquish my ring. I've been literally locked up in my own house with no possibility of getting out until I do it."
He found his eyes looking at Ladybug; all he saw was disbelief in her face.
"I never knew that your civilian life was so difficult, Chaton. I can't believe that someone you call 'family' would forbid you from wearing a ring. Can you not just put it on a chain to your neck?"
Chat Noir sighed. "No, M’lady. They would see the chain and ask me to remove it. By contract I'm not allowed to wear anything that is not branded Ag—uh, family brand. Until today, the rule never bothered me; now… it bit me in the back."
"I cannot believe that a family member could be such a tyrant!" Ladybug's voice was high and cracking and Chat Noir's green eyes were on the brink of tears. He explained to Ladybug the truth of his situation, trying to avoid any detail that would give his identity away. He explained how his mother died a year ago, how his father hardened since her death, how he sometimes didn't even have time to breathe with all the commitments his family was pushing on him.
"Woah," muttered Ladybug absent-mindedly. "You're always so cheerful, Minou. I would never have thought you were going through such-such hell." Her eyes were burning with anger. "I don't know how you do it. Honestly, I admire you, Chaton. It sounds as if you had your hands full, but you were never late for a patrol and you always arrived as soon as possible during akuma attacks. You must have the best organisational skills in the world."
Chat Noir smiled. "Thank you, Buginette. Your admiration means the world to me." His smile faltered. "How do you want to do it? Should I take you to my room and detransform?"
She grabbed his hands and looked up at him with a frown of pure determination. "No way, Chaton. You're not giving up on the only freedom you have. I'm not doing this without you either." Her voice cracked. "It's you and me against the world, remember? Ladybug and Chat Noir. If you're giving up yours, I'll be giving up mine. Together or nothing." She smiled softly as she said that and he smiled shyly back. "We will find a way," she continued. "But first, c'me here." She opened her arms wide and Chat Noir's eyes filled with tears as he let her wrap him into a hug.
Yes, she was right. They would find a way. They were an unstoppable team and there was nothing on this planet that they couldn't overcome together.

Author's Note
Hi there! Here we are with day 8. I know… but with a prompt like 'tyranny' all I could think of was angst. Hope I managed to save it at the end with a little fluff. I hope you like it and will leave me a comment. You know that comments are my bread and butter!
Until (hopefully) tomorrow, bug out!

Adrien's Addiction and Trips To Gotham- Pt. 6
Previous
Marinette sighed as Alix went on a rant of how stressful learning about her miraculous is. Apparently, Fluff had decided it was time to wake up and according to Alix, finding out you help the miraculous of time was a painful experience.
"Alix, please calm down," Marinette pleaded with the bedridden girl. Alix had a terrible migraine for most of the day that she could barely stand without tumbling over.
"Mari. I love you, honestly, but it is impossible for me to calm down," Alix deadpanned. She sighed, "I fainted 3 times today because of this. I know as much as the kwamis now, but I'm still a 16 year old human. This is a huge change Mar."
Marinette understood, she really did because it was a big change for her too. What was she to do with Fluff? Let her stay with Alix and risk Alix's safety? Or should she take Fluff away? "I'm sorry. I really didn't mean it like that. Lila is being Lila—"
Alix cut her off, "I know what happened today, Buginette," she placed a hand on her shoulder. Marinette realized now.
"Alix you know, don't you?" She stared at the pink haired girl with apologetic eyes. No one except her and Adrien should be subject to those memories.
"How do you two live?" Alix asked placed a hand on Marinette's cheek. Alix was reminding her of a mother.
"We have to, Al. We have no say in that," she replied leaned into Alix's touch.
"I'm so, so sorry!" The skater breaks down. Marinette notes that this is one of the few times she ever seen her cry. "I really want to help you two but then I can throw off a whole timeline! You two deserve to not have those things weighing on your conscience but they're there and I can't help you."
Marinette stares at her. "You're so lucky, Alix," she whispered softly making sure that her voice was below Alix's sobs. She could feel the pain that her Adrien have locked away so tightly. She could cry and not be numb to it like her.
She wrapped her arms around the sobbing girl, trying to keep her calm enough to not cause an akuma but allowing Alix to experience it. She needed to experience it, to cry, so she can laugh afterwards. So she can be Alix again. Not the broken girl in her arms but Alix, the girl she helped get her rights to become a figure skater and rollerblader.
Adrien was at the doorpost staring at the whole interaction. He slowly moved towards the bed and hugged the two girls. Her started singing the lullaby he used to calm her down and Alix gradually calmed down.
There weren't a lot of permanent holders for a reason.
••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••
Chloé froze at how broken Alix looked. She opened her arms for her and Alix immediately ran to her, curling up in her lap. Another one she noted, another traumatized sunshine.
Many people thought she was extremely tough because of she carries herself but Chloé knows, once it matters it hits her hard.
Alix just stayed there. There was no crying, just Alix being a bit touch starved. Adrien and Marinette eventually joined them, cuddling up to Chloé and wrapping their arms around the new member.
Chloé wasn't a permanent holder to protect Paris. No, she was a permanent holder to protect those who protect Paris. If that meant that they would more than likely end up cuddling with them everyday and watching there kids she would gladly do it because she knows how it feels to see all that death, she's seen it.
••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••
Lady Noire smiles back at Max as she steps through the portal. "I'll call you when you need to open it back up okay?" Max nodded before closing it. Adrien had Tikki right now, they had decided that the ladybug holder needed to be the first on the scene so Tikki had to stay.
It wouldn't be good to give Tikki to Chloé or Alix since they couldn't balance out Tikki's good luck. No one apart from the chosen two should hold the ladybug or black car. Alya proved that it was dangerous.
Bunnix stepped out of her Burrow, umbrella open overhead. "Sorry for the wait, Lady Black. Bruce is still an untrackable shit." Marinette giggled, it was always fun to hear Bunnix talk about people she's met through her subconscious. When she says that the other meets her normally of course it's just that Bunnix's real body isn't there, just her subconscious' own.
She followed Bunnix's lead and found Batman. When Batman noticed them Bunnix was quick to clarify, "B, don't attack old friends! That's rude!"
Batman froze slightly before going back to normal, "You're a superhero?"
"Yup! Nice to see ya again," she replied with a smile. "Come on B I wanna see your lovely sons and my little angsty child."
Lady Noir honestly isn't surprised the girl's met majority of Batman's family.
The keader of the bats looks at Bunnix, more than likely in curiosity, "Who?"
"You'll find out."
••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••
Batman wasn't expecting to see his time traveling friend at 2 in the morning. They were ending patrol now (probably why she appeared right then) and he was more than ready to go home.
He led her and her companion to the batcave. He didn't ask who she, Alix was more than likely going to explain who they were.
By the time he got to the cave everyone was there. As soon as Bunnix stepped in she dropped her transformation(?). He's never seen Damian light up before. Sure it wasn't a huge light up but noticeable enough for his brothers to see it and turn to where he's looking.
Dick, being the most loving of them, ran up to her first. "It's been years, Al! You don't look a day older, no fair!" Alix grined at him enveloping him in a hug.
"Holy shit, D, you've gotten so much bigger!" She pulled back to go over to Jason, jumping to ruffle his hair, "Hey, Peter. How's life been?" Obvious play on his death. She moved on to Tim waving her hand in front of his face, "B," her tone suggests she was going to ask a stupid question, "why ya keeping the kid's corpse for?"
Then she went over to Damian who gave her a nod of acknowledgement. "Look at you. You're 15 already right?" Damian nodded. "Aw, I missed so much," she complained with a smile. She stayed with him a bit longer, "I really did miss a lot. How's everything?"
He was grateful she stuck to initials while they were in costume. A little later after she caught up on most of Damian's life she stood back beside her companion.
"Alright, now to start what we came for.”

Drunk Marinette! Adrienette
'Adriennnnnnnn~ I want youuu~'
If Adrien's phone wasn't left charging at home he could've have a gallery full of pictures and videos of Marinette.
A very drunk Marinette.
It all started with a girls night out that Alya had suggested, along with Alix's suggestion of getting themselves hammered for the rest of the night. Juleka and Alix in the end were the ones who could take on their fifth glass of shots, while the others were drunk messes.
Ivan merely carried Mylene all the way to their car, Mylene, despite her small size and usually kind demeanor, had turned into a very dominant being, and Ivan had to hold down the color on his cheeks as Mylene rambled on about the things that was best kept censored.
Alix had to help a struggling Nino, who had to deal with Alya's hallucinations. The upcoming worldwide famous blogger had begun to chase after an imaginary bug heroine and cat hero. And Nino daresay his girlfriend is stronger than she looks.
Juleka only had to drag a tipsy Rose into their car, which was most probably the easiest task out of everyone here.
The girls represent different types of drunks, and most of them were easy to handle, but Marinette is a different story, and that brings them to where they are right now.
Adrien ignored his lady's suggestive words and had finally managed to carry Marinette into their car. He was in the middle of buckling her into her seat when her two tone arms wrapped around his neck, pulling his face close to her red ones. Giggling quietly as she whispered more seductive words into his ear. Her breath is hot and her voice is silky, definitely not helping his hormones at all.
'No Mari, you are drunk, you're not thinking straight,' Adrien strapped her to the chair safely, removing him from her arms and starting the car. Tikki had joined Plagg at the back of the car, giggling softly at the moment.
Out of the corner of his eye he saw her red face in a pouty expression, her bottom lip tugged out and her nose scrunched up, honestly the most adorable sight he had ever seen.
'I am thinking straight, if I'm not then you wouldn't be naked in my eyes right now,' the bluenette giggled seductively. Adrien almost crashed the car, tensing up like a frightened cat, his green eyes connected with his girlfriend's bluebell ones. The blue orbs most definitely checking him out.
Biting his bottom lip, he focused back on the road, attempting to ignore those seductive eyes, he spoke in a voice a bit too hard, 'Marinette, no,' .
He made a mistake.
Terrible one.
Marinette's bottom lip trembled, moisture surrounding her eyes. Adrien stopped at the red light, always the first to apologize, 'No wait, I'm sorry milady, please don't cry,' he panicked, devastated to see his bugaboo cry because of him.
Marinette brought her legs up to her chest, her black leggings complimented her Chat Noir themed blouse well. The woman hiccuped as sobs erupted from her throat, 'You don't love me anymore Adrien! I know I'm fat and ugly and one day you'll finally see that and go for more prettier girls, and then I'll be left alone with no one else to love meeeeee!' .
If this was a serious situation Adrien would go to the ends of the world just for her to be happy but this particular scene was far to funny and adorable to be sad, chuckling softly, Adrien caressed the woman's red cheeks and assured, 'I do love you buginette, oh my goodness you're too adorable for this world. You're not fat and you are most definitely not ugly. I love you and will not leave you, remember that okay?' his adoring eyes reflected in the drunk heroine's watery blue orbs.
Marinette hiccuped softly and wiped her tears away, holding up her pinky finger like a child, she softly spoke, 'Promise?' , Adrien's hear tugged in his chest, his sweet bugaboo is too precious for this world. Holding up his own pinky, he curled it around hers, 'Promise,' .
The cat hero sigh in relief as the woman resulted back into her quirky happy self, giggling at every moving image out of the car window, a whole colorful fantasy displaying in her perspective.
It was when they reached their apartment door did she rushed into their home, already in the bathroom and puking her guts out. Adrien placed his lady's bags down and rushed to her aid, holding her slightly long midnight blue hair away from her face, allowing her to puke a bit more comfortably. Plagg and Tikki followed in with their holders, already reaching their makeshift bed, retiring for the night. It had been a long day.
By the time Marinette finished, she was already collapsing weakly into her kitty's arms, almost passing out. Adrien smile softly, flushing the toilet before assisting her to their room.
After a few years of living together, Adrien and Marinette were both comfortable enough to assist each other in intimate ways. The blond changed her into one of his shirts, as the woman always wore his whenever they went to bed, saying it's much more comfy than her other sleepwear.
As soon as he laid the beautiful girl down onto her side of the bead, Marinette had already curled up into the blankets, fully drifting off to sleep, a contented smile on her lips.
Adrien eyes softened at the beauty, placing a kiss onto her forehead, he went out to clean the place, before collapsing into their bed tiredly, wrapping the girl in his arms, his way of escaping a tired day from work, and an ever more tiring task of taking care of his bug, not that he was complaining though.
__________
Marinette moaned softly in her sleep, waking up from her slumber with a throbbing headache.
She recalled the wild night she and her friends had last night, and memories came flooding into her mind, including parts of blurry images of her emotional outbursts on her boyfriend.
Her blush intensified as she recollected memories of her suggestive words and gestures towards the cat hero, not noticing the blond that was cradling her so gently in his arms had begin stirring awake, soft green orbs observing his lady's current state.
'Morning milady, you were a mess last night,' he reminded, feeling rather mischievous on a Saturday morning. Marinette buried her face into his chest, 'Sorry kitty, I shouldn't have drank too much and cause you trouble,' she mumbled weakly, her voice muffled in his shirt.
Adrien chuckled, 'Trouble? Never princess, you were absolutely adorable last night, it's a shame I left my phone at home, I could have created a new album dedicated to your drunk self bugaboo!' he tapped her nose softly.
Marinette rolled her eyes, 'And your albums of Ladybug and Marinette aren't enough?' she recalled back to the hundreds or maybe even thousands of pictures of herself Adrien had saved in his phone and laptop.
'I can never have enough pictures of you princess. I know beautiful art when I see one, and you my darling, are absolutely ethereal,' his fingers resting on her bottom lip, brushing it softly, watching the woman's cheeks flushed a pink hue.
'Now come on sweetheart, what would you like for breakfast my princess?' Adrien sat up from bed, years of being part of the Dupain-Cheng family the man had learn to make simple dishes for his lady.
Marientte groaned as she felt a wave of dizziness washed into her head, muttering for caffeine and something sweet for her morning hunger.
Adrien rubbed the heroine's temple softly, connecting their lips together, Marinette mumbled a "thank you" as they separated, breathing in his scent in an attempt to soothe her pain.
Adrien could get used to drunk Marinette.

HMMMMM but what if i just start publishing my miraculous ladybug fic rn even tho i’ve barely finished act i
“If you want to use your gift to be a thief,” Ladybug sniffed, “you’ll just have to suffer the consequences.”
“What about you, my lady?”
“What about me?”
“You’re a thief, too.”
Ladybug spluttered and her face grew hot with indignation. “I am not a thief!”
“But you’ve stolen my heart.”
He grinned a wide Cheshire grin and Ladybug rolled her eyes. He could be so unreasonable sometimes.
She leapt onto a neighboring rooftop, following her familiar patrol around the edge of the palace, and Chat Noir followed.
“You’re particularly grumpy tonight, buginette,” he said.
Ladybug froze and whirled around on him. “Buginette?” she repeated. “You’re the one in rare form tonight, chaton.” She said the diminutive with as much condescension as she could manage. If he wanted to trade little nicknames tonight, she could play that game.
“I’m not quite at the top of my game,” he said, careful to time this as he leapt on top of a chimney before jumping back down to keep pace with her. “I should have seen the dogs.”
“And what would we have done if you had been bitten and one of Hawkmoth’s monsters had shown up?”
“My lady, I would defend you to my last breath, bites and breaks be damned.”
Ladybug sighed and skidded to a stop just before reaching the palace wall. Chat Noir perched beside her.
As obnoxious as he was, as terrible a thief as he was, he was also very sweet and as loyal as any friend that Marinette had. He had stood with her, bites and breaks be damned, and helped her defend the city from Hawkmoth’s monsters. She would have died several times over this past year without him at her side.
Chat Noir seemed to be having similar thoughts. He twisted the silver ring, studded with green stones in the shape of a paw, once around his black-gloved finger. “Did you know our one-year anniversary is coming up?” he asked.
Ladybug looked down at him, surprised to see he looked unusually sad. “Er — I hadn’t realized. I’m not sure if it feels longer or shorter.” She searched for the answer that would encourage him best. “Part of me feels like we’ve always been doing this.”
He smiled, but his usual humor was lacking. “It feels like it’s been forever,” he agreed, and pushed himself to his feet. “If you’d like a bouquet to celebrate, I know the castle gardens have a lovely bloom of hellebore every winter.”
“Do not steal from the castle gardens,” she groaned. “I can’t help you if the king takes your head.”
“The king would never. You and I are heroes.”
“Most of the time.”
“I cannot speak to what you do without your mask on,” Chat Noir shrugged. “What must you get up to when I’m not here to keep you in line?”
She couldn’t help it. She laughed. He grinned with pride. She did not often laugh at his jokes, but that only made the rare occasions which she did that much more special.

I read fanfics for this one manga which has different translations of a character's name depending on the translator and I've clicked off a few because they used a different name than I'm used to and it took me out of the story
That's fairly common even in the ML fandom. I think in the English fandom most people are used to indiscriminately reading like. Chaton/kitty/minou, milady/m'lady/my lady, bugaboo/buginette, etc. But there are a whole lot of people who will not read a fic that calls him Cat Noir (which. to be honest I would use Cat Noir if it wasn't common fandom preference) and I can't stand Papillon instead of Hawk Moth (Shadow Moth is even on thin ice and that's in the English dub).
Very valid.

I love Marichat and all, but the Princess nickname. Oh my god - Cat Noir said it ONCE. Why do people keep using it in every one of his lines in fanfics😭
It’s another case of “people liked it and wanted it to be a thing so it caught on”. And as we’ve seen, Adrien IS prone to cute, somewhat flirtatious nicknames, what with “Buginette” and “My Lady”. If we got more regular Marichat interactions, I could see him calling her “Princess” more often.
If it makes some sort of sense and people find it cute, it tends to proliferate. Like in the times I’ve tried out Lukanette fics, Luka will often refer to Marinette as “My Melody”, which has NEVER happened canonically - but it fits with his music theme and seems like something he might say, so it’s used anyway.
“Princess” is overused though.
Hm... wonder whether things might change if we got more canonical Marichat interactions? Get some replacement tropes.

Ladynoir #5 for the kiss ask please? 👀
death by a thousand cuts
Prompt: Ladynoir, a kiss where it doesn’t hurt
AO3
She came to when he slammed into her.
A blur of red and black and blonde, Marinette felt arms clutching her tightly.  Suited hands ran over her hair, her hips, her back as Chat Noir– no, Mister Bug – tried and failed to find something wrong with her.
“Chat,” She murmured, not even bothering to try and pull away from his frantic ministrations.  “Chat, I’m okay.”
Her head hurt something fierce and there was a disturbing gap in her memory.  One moment she’d been crying in the bathroom stall over Lila’s latest attacks on her character and the next she was being cradled in her partner’s arms on a back alley fire escape.
“My lady, Marinette, thank god, thank god.” Chat croaked into her hair.
It didn’t take a Ladybug to realize what had happened.  Horror, quick, and guilt, sharp, stabbed through her as the reality of the situation crashed down.  There was only one explanation for Mister Bug and her memory gap.
She’d fucked up.  She’d fucked up so bad.
“Ch-at,” She whispered and his arms tightened around her.  The familiar beeping of her earrings rang out and she knew he only had a few minutes before he transformed back.  “Chat I’m so sorry.”
“No.” He said, shaking them both.  “It wasn’t you. It wasn’t your fault.  Marinette, I– I’m…” His voice broke off on a sob and she slowly slipped her arms around his back, returning his embrace.
“Was it really bad?”
Her words fell in the space that wasn’t between them.  Chat’s rumbling purr, self-soothing, vibrated against her chest.
“Did– did anyone else… Chat do they know?”
Here he managed a quiet no and Marinette laughed, tears of relief slipping from her eyes.  Her partner, eyes green and so, so human stared down at her, tears building up like reflecting pools.
“I think,” He cleared his throat, tried to smile.  “I think Lila won’t be fucking with you again though.”
“Th-that’s something,” She murmured, voice quivering as the shock slowly passed leaving her a shaking mess in Chat’s arms.
She’d been akumatized.  Chat knew who she was. She’d failed.
Oh god, what would Tikki say?
“Chat,” She said, voice cracking.
“Shh, no, buginette, no.” He said and she realized she didn’t need to say anything. He placed a kiss, warm and lingering against her forehead, not moving even as her earrings gave its final warning, as if he could dispel her doubts at the source.
Marinette closed her eyes against the warm, pink light that suffused him and she found herself burying her face not in familiar leather but soft cotton.  Bare arms held her tightly as the boy behind the mask rocked her gently in the fading afternoon light, letting her fall apart, ready to put her back together.

Rising from the Ashes: Of Bullies and Best Friends
So this story is based on this post by @legendaryhumanskeletonkid I took this idea and kinda changed it without further ado... Part 1. Master List
-------------
“All of Paris is invited to a gala that will be held at the hotel this Saturday from six-thirty to ten o’clock. This is a fundraiser gala for natural disasters and a partial celebration for the defeat of Hawkmoth Paris’ previous tormentor,” Mayor Bourgeois announces, looking over the crowd.
Marinette had been sitting on her family’s couch designing as the mayor finished his speech. She had been invited as Ladybug and wouldn’t be attending as Marinette. She did not need to make a dress and had already changed her costume for a more grown-up look.
A year or two after she started being the spotted hero, she decided to change up costume as of now her costume was red from her hips to her shoulder blades with black spots strategically placed, along with black knee-high boots that had three spots on her knees, her hand were adorned with fingerless gloves with one red spot on the back of each hand, the rest of her body was covered in her original red with black spots. She had also started putting her now mid-back long hair up in a bun to keep it out of her face as she worked or as her superhero persona. Needless to say, she loves her new look.
By this point in time, Adrien and Marinette became best friends, especially after the reveal. Adrien is happily dating Kagami after Marinettehad set them up. She is one of the few people who knew about Kagami and Adrien’s relationship and is happy for both of her friends. She had lost feelings for Adrien when he had told her to take the high road with Lila’s lying problem. He stopped talking and pushing to take the high road bull after he had to comfort Ladybug to stop her from getting akumatized. He realized someone was getting hurt and it was his Lady, his best friend.
He couldn’t directly stand up to her due to his father, but he would point out a lack of consistency in her lies. He was also an emotional support system for her during the times when Lila was too terrible. He always has Marinette and Kagami’s favorite ice-cream in the mini fridge-freezer combo he had in his room. He also has a playlist of movies for the group watches when they get together. Marinette, Kagami, Adrien, Chloe, and Luka have become family in everything but blood.
Marinette sighs, being brought back to the present by her parents entering the kitchen.
“Hey sweetie, what was the mayor’s announcement?” Sabine asked, sitting down next to her petite daughter.
“He is holding a fundraiser gala as a celebration for Hawkmoth’s defeat and for other natural disasters. All the heroes are invited as a thank you and probably to help raise more money,” Marinette summed up while her mother hugged her.
“That’s great, sweetheart! Are you going to go?” Tom asked, sitting down on the other side of his daughter.
“I haven’t decided yet but I don’t think I will,” Marinette answered.
“Why not sweetie?” Sabine asked, looking at her daughter, eyes filled with concern. Sabine had noticed her daughter's classmates had stopped coming by the house and she is worried for her daughter's social life.
“I don’t know I just don’t want to go to a stuffy gala,” she answered, standing up. “but don’t worry about me, you guys go have fun. Enjoy yourselves, you both deserve it."
“I think we will, what day is it?” Sabine asked, standing up as well.
“It’s this upcoming Saturday,” Marinette answered.
“But today is Thursday. That doesn’t leave us much time to find and wash the formal clothes,” Tom said, standing as well.
“Ok mama and papa I’ll leave you to that, I’m going to head to bed. Goodnight I love you both," Marinette said, leaving to go upstairs to her room
“Tikki, are you ready for patrol?” Marinette said, looking for her little red friend.
“Let’s go Marinette!” Tikki said, coming down from the bed Marinette had made her.
“Tikki, Spots on,” Marinette said, going through her transformation. Then she jumped out of her balcony trap door and flew across the rooftops towards the set meeting place, the Eiffel Tower.
“Hey Chaton, Queenie. Sorry that I’m late, my parents were asking about the gala,” she said, landing beside her partners.
“It's fine LB you deserve a break after today though,” Queen Bee said, looking at her once rival turned friend.
“I’m fine,” Ladybug started before Chat cut in. “No, you shouldn’t have to be fine. You should be feeling great I can’t believe she accused you of such a thing,” Chat pouted, crossing his arms.
Ladybug sighed and looked over the city thinking back to what had happened earlier that day in class.
Lila had walked into school with a black eye and bruised cheek, probably makeup. Once she had everyone around her and Marinette, who had made it a habit of arriving at class on time, walked in Lila started crying her crocodile tears. “M.. Marinette how co.. could you show your fa...face after what you did to me?” Lila stuttered out between the crocodile tears.
“What do you mean?” Adrien asked before Marinette could respond to the accusations.
“She was jealous over our friendship, Adrien, so she attacked me after we hung out yesterday,” Lila cried, hiding her face in Alya’s welcoming embrace.
“By ‘hung out’ you mean you hanging all over me during the photoshoot I was forced to go to,” Adrien deadpanned, putting air quotes around ‘hung out’.
“Adrien, how could you say that when she’s in this condition?” Alya raged, looking at Marinette and Adrien as she continued to rub Lila’s back comfortingly. “Marinette you gotta stop being so jealous!”
“That’s funny because Marinette and I went out for ice cream with Adrien, Luka, and Kagami after Adrien’s torture his father calls a photoshoot,” Chloe stepped in.
“How do we know you aren’t lying?” Alya asked, standing tall. “You, Chloe, are just as much of a bully as Marinette is.”
“Because,” Marinette stepped in. “We saw you there yesterday. Remember? You and Nino had a date.”
“That is true, babe as we were leaving they were just getting there,” Nino stated towards his girlfriend.
“Then you must have slapped her after that because we all know you have a huge crush on Adrien,” Alya defended a smirk spreading across her face.
“Alya, if you had talked to me sometime in the last two years without yelling at me then you would know that I see him just as a friend,” Marinette said, crossing her arms.
“Awww, Buginette, I thought we were best friends,” Adrien pouted.
“Not the time, Adrien,” Chloe said. “Also why would Lila just bring it up now? Why didn’t she talk to the principal before this?”
“I..” Lila started then cried more while answering. “I thought she would do something worse.”
“This girl wouldn’t hurt a fly,” Adrien defended, knowing that not to be true. He had seen her do some serious damage. The bell rung before anyone could say anything else but by the glares that Marinette kept receiving she could tell people weren’t happy with her over the accusations.
“Buginette, are you sure you’re ok? Queenie and I don’t mind taking this patrol by ourselves,” Chat offered, looking at his long-time friend.
“Mar, you can tell us what the matter is. Even with Hawkmoth defeated we’re still here for you,” Queen said, patting her shoulder.
“I just don’t understand how they can trust someone they barely know over me, their childhood friend,” Ladybug answered, looking into the distance.
“Her lies seem as sweet as honey, but they’re going to sting when the lies bumble,” Queenie punned. Chat looked at her in astonishment.
“Did you just—?“ Chat started.
“Nope Chlo you can’t join him. There are only so many puns people can deal with,” Ladybug said with a laugh. “I can’t wait to see the day her lies will fall.”
They sat there for the duration of the patrol, Paris would be safe for the night. Ladybug needs the heroes’ help more. After her friends had helped her relax she had fallen asleep, Chat took the liberty of taking her home. She needed more sleep with the stress of school, Ladybug, and now going to the gala. Adrien wasn’t going to go as Adrien, but as Chat Noir. He was personally invited as Chat, which he’s thankful for. He can now spend time with his girlfriend and not have to deal with Lila.
As Adrien put his Buginette in her bed and tucked her in he stared for a moment and thought back to a day not too long ago when he thought he had lost her.
It had been a long fight every one of the heroes, even with their strong stamina, were becoming tired. Especially Marinette taking more hits than any of the other heroes, not wanting them, rest of her friends, to be hurt. After hours of fighting, they were in Hawkmoth’s lair now at this point after he had run near the end of his transformation. This had led them to his own house at that moment he knew his lady had been right almost three years ago.
His friends turned to look at him. He looked at them and felt the bile rising in his throat, his father. His goddamn father! He had done this to them. Kagami had been stabbed in the shoulder but she was still fighting. Marinette had received a bad blow to the stomach. Everyone has excessive bruising most of the team had dried blood on them and their costumes were torn. He fell to his knees and threw up.
“My god,” he whispered, wiping his mouth. “Why him? Of all the loners and messed up people, why him?”
“Chaton, you could have not known,” Ladybug said, rubbing his back.
“Adrien, this isn’t your fault,” Kagami said, hugging him.
“Look at you guys!” He said, standing up swiftly. “You all look terrible! He hurt you are all so bad.”
“Thanks,” Queenie answered sarcastically, crossing her arms.
“You don’t look so hot yourself though,” Viperon said, trying to calm down the blonde.
“Viperon, is right we all look bad but this is what we signed up for as soon as we took the miraculous. Ya, it sucks that the troubles of Paris are placed on the shoulders five teenagers, who are still in high school, but the adults here are morons,” Queenie said, hugging Adrien. “You gotta calm down. I.. we won’t be able to fight you too.”
“You’re right,” he said, hugging her back. “Let’s go get ourselves a bastard.”
“That’s the spirit!” Ladybug said, giving him a fist bump.
They jumped to where they saw Hawkmoth enter. Ryuko offered to go in first, well not offered but barged in first. “Gabriel! You have some nerve!” Ryuko screamed when she saw the dark figure.
“Ahhh.. finally I’ll have what is truly mine your miraculous. It’s finally time to get rid of you, pests,” Hawkmoth monologued hiding in the shadows.
“Father! Stop this craziness! I don’t know why you’re doing this, but it must end!” Chat pleaded.
“Gabriel, we don’t want to fight you anymore. We just want the butterfly and the peacock miraculous,” Ladybug reasoned.
“and I just want my wife back,” Gabriel said, turning to the heroes. “Don’t you want the same, Adrien?”
“I.. She’s gone, Father. I’m going to be gone too if you don’t stop! I miss her as much as you do, but I moved on because it’s healthy! This isn’t healthy and would she want to be brought back like this? All this destruction, chaos, and pain? Would she even be able to look at you the same knowing that you’ve hurt Paris, my friends, and your only son?” Chat asked, stepping forward as Gabriel fell to his knees. “Please, Dad stop this.”
“Under one condition,” Gabriel asked, looking up at his son.
“Depends on the condition old man,” Queenie said from behind Chat.
“I want to be able to stay here with you and try to make up the time I wasted. Also please don’t tell the public who I am, the media would tear you and the company to pieces. You would probably be seen as an accomplice and wouldn't be trusted most likely anywhere,” Gabriel pleads, grabbing his son’s hand, the one without Chat’s miraculous.
“Group talk, huddle up,” Viperon said, beckoning everyone in.
“We could make him do stuff like community service, but subtly so it doesn’t raise any suspicion,” Ryuko reasoned, once everyone had gathered in the huddle of heroes.
“What would we tell the public,” Queenie asked, looking around the circle.
“After Hawkmoth ran, we found his miraculous that he had left on a rooftop,” Ladybug started a plan forming.
“When we went to find the civilian Hawkmoth he had already run,” Chat finished.
“Good enough for me,” Viperon agreed.
“What if we make him start a foundation,” Queenie suggested. “I could help since I am the Mayor’s daughter and have connections”
“He caused a lot of chaos, what if we make him start a disaster foundation? Natural disasters because those are a common thing here. Fires and floods, simple things,” Ryuko added.
“Ok we have a proposition then,” Chat said, breaking the huddle then looked towards Gabriel. “Father we came to a decision you can be unknown from the public, but you have to start a natural disaster foundation. Also something I’m adding get your mental health checked along with weekly therapy. If you choose these conditions you can stay at home as Gabriel Agreste and Hawkmoth will never be you again. If not we can take you into the police station right now.”
Needless to say, Gabriel had accepted the heroes’ gracious offer and handed over the butterfly and peacock miraculous, which was brought back to Master Fu. He had given her the Miracle Box because he wanted to retire soon after the defeat of Hawkmoth. The public was angry at first due to the fact they wouldn’t know the identity of Hawkmoth, but they thought the heroes didn’t know so they were less angry. Adrien sighed and jumped onto her balcony and headed home.
When Marinette woke up the next morning she looks around dazed for a moment or two this had been one of the first times she had gotten a full night's sleep in awhile. It was all thanks to her partners, she hadn’t even woken from a nightmare. She also woke up a bit earlier than her alarm, so she got up and put her hair in a bun, did some light makeup. She put on a white shoulderless short-sleeved shirt with little flowers near the neckline, a bubblegum pink flowy skirt, and a pair of darkish grey tights. She then finished the look with the same bubblegum color of her skirt for ballet shoes. When finished getting dressed she put cookies in her signature purse. She climbed up the ladder leading towards her bed to wake up her kwami.
“Tikki, time to wake up,” Marinette said, quietly.
“Good morning,” Tikki yawned. “You look nice this morning!”
“I got up early. I must’ve fallen asleep on patrol,” Marinette said. “I woke up on time and I didn’t have any nightmares.”
“That’s so good! You haven’t gotten enough sleep lately,” Tikki said, flying up out of her bed.
“Marinette! It’s time to leave!” Sabine shouted from downstairs. Marinette checked her phone and saw that it was true so she went downstairs. “Sweetie you look extra beautiful today! Did you sleep better than normal?”
“Yes, I slept well, love you mama see you after school!” She kissed her mama and left for school.
As she arrives Adrien’s car pulls up and she sees Chloe waiting by the bottom of the steps near the entrance of the school. Chloe is wearing her hair down straight but with the top part of her hair pulled back and held in with her miraculous. She is wearing a black pencil skirt that ends just above the knee, a flowy light yellow shirt, and paired with black flats.
When Adrien and Marinette meet Chloe they give both give her and each other a hug. They then walk inside to be met with the mess known as Lila and her posse. They meet in the courtyard where Alya and Lila try to get an apology out of Marinette.
"Lila, I didn't hit you. There's enough proof to say that I didn't, but yet you continue with your web of lies. Why would I want to hit you?" Marinette asked, crossing her arms as Adrien and Chloe stand behind her.
"Because you are jealous that I'm dating Adrien. I'm sorry Adrihoney that I told her our secret," Lila cried. "I just can't take her jealousy or torture anymore."
"Lila we're not dating..." Adrien started but was cut off again by Lila sobbing louder.
"You don't have to lie to them, they already know the truth. I can't let you hide your feelings for me anymore," Lila sobbed.
"Lila, what truth did you tell them the truth or the truth you want? I would never date you, Lila. You are too clingy, annoying, and you're always lying. Plus I'm happily dating someone; I'm pretty sure I love her," Adrien finished.
"Marinette, you slut, you're sleeping with Lila's boyfriend when you know that they are happily together," Alya raged, rubbing Lila's back.
“It’s like I’m not even here!” Adrien said, throwing his hands up in defeat.
"First of all, Adrien is just a friend. Second of all, how dare you call me or his actual girlfriend a slut and last Adrien's girlfriend could take Lila down in a heartbeat," Marinette said, stepping forward. "Adrien's girlfriend may not be the kindest at first glance, but what I wouldn't do to help one of my best friends."
She then walked to class with the two blonds glaring at the rest of the class following behind. The rest of the day was filled with excited chatter for the upcoming gala. Lila was bragging over the fact the uprising star, who she ‘helped’ found MDC's talent, made her dress just because Lila is so nice.
"MDC, he is so incredibly nice and handsome. He has milk chocolate hair and the brightest blue eyes you would ever see. It was love at first sight when he had first seen me. It was just after I had saved Jagged Stone's cat from the airport's terminal. MDC was with Jagged because he is Jagged's lost nephew," Lila started then her face fell. "I couldn't stay with him though, I was getting ready to fly to Gotham to be with my childhood sweetheart, my Damiboo. I'm sorry or as you would know him, Damian Wayne."
"Seriously! you've met the Waynes and Bruce Wayne's heir is in love with you?!?" Alya exclaimed. "You have to get me an interview with them!"
"Next time I visit my Damiboo I'll ask him, but he's kind of shy," Lila smiles, looking at all of her adoring followers.
Marinette sighed as the bell rung thankful for the end of her lies even if only temporarily. After her class, which was uneventful, she headed home to help her parents finish up in the bakery and eventually helped them close it. She saw that they had dragged out there nicer clothes.
"Sweetheart, would you be a dear and fit and fix my dress," Sabine asked, looking back at Marinette as she cooked.
"Of course Mama I'll fix it up after dinner," Marinette said as she was finishing up her homework.
They had a nice peaceful dinner after plates were cleaned, and leftovers were put away Marinette and her mother headed upstairs to fix her mother's dress. "Mama you look beautiful," Marinette said looking over the traditional Chinese red cheongsam.
"Thank you, Marinette," Sabine pauses, looking at herself in the mirror. "Pretty soon I'm going to give it to you. It was your grandmother's and I think you deserve it."
"Thank you, Mama," Marinette smiled, fixing the tear near the hem. "It's all fixed Mama. You look beautiful. I hope you have a great time tomorrow."
"I just wish you would come with us," Sabine sighed, hugging her daughter.
"I would but I had already made plans with Adrien, Kagami, and Luka," Marinette told the decided upon story.
"OK have fun at least," Sabine smiled before heading downstairs to show her husband.
Since it was Ryuko and Viperon's turn to patrol she went to bed early.
