Why learn a foreign language, you ask?
Understanding and speaking the language will at some point inevitably make you feel like a spy/important person... - Bonus points for when you can eavesdrop on public conversations.
Have those fun little moments when you catch mistakes in your target language on signs, merchandise and in media. (Especially if it’s Japanese or Chinese... People love to butcher those).
Imagine what your crush would think if they suddenly realize you speak a different language 3 months after meeting you. They may gasp, exclaim that you’re full of surprises, and go weak in the knees from your oh-so-mysterious demeanor (bonus points if it’s French or Italian).
Fulfill your study aesthetic dreams, because you finally have something to theme a new blog around. Time to splurge on a pretty notebook and nice pens and work on that handwriting. Get the desk set up nice and cute, grab yourself the most beautiful coffee mug you can find. You’ve just become that girl. And you love it. Can’t forget to mention the messy buns, glasses (don’t have to be prescription), cat ownership and plants.
Increase your chances of escaping eternal loneliness TEN FOLD because learning a language just opened doors to millions of people who couldn’t speak yours.
Your personality may shift depending on which language you’re speaking, due to cultural and linguistic differences. So, by learning a new language, you will not only become more knowledgable about the world around you, but about yourself and people in general.
Accurately understand books, shows, and all sorts of media in your target language. (No more relying on suspicious subtitles).
Feel satisfied in knowing that you’ve picked up quite a fun and rewarding hobby that can and will expand your life in every possible way.

27 Things Before Breakfast!
The name "27 things before breakfast" refers to a quote from Alice in Wonderland, where the White Queen boasts about being able to do "six impossible things before breakfast." The message behind the name is to not let anything hold you back from achieving your goals, no matter how impossible they may seem. As language learners, we often set ambitious goals for ourselves, such as becoming fluent in multiple languages. It can be easy to feel overwhelmed and discouraged when we don't see progress right away. But like the White Queen, we should challenge ourselves. Let's set realistic goals for ourselves and work within our abilities to achieve them, one step at a time. Remember, the journey of learning a new language is not a sprint, it's a marathon. Don't give up! #27thingsbeforebreakfast #aliceinwonderland #polyglot #motivation #inspiration

Basic Turkish 101. (Months and Seasons/ Yılın ayları ve Yılın Mevsimlerı
Hello hello! Yesterday I got too tired so I didn't study, but today I spent like 3 hours studying these two topics, which was something..... Things are starting to get a little bit harder now because I have to learn grammar, which is something I hate and didn't actually learn in my native language (i learned enough to finish HS but not enough to actually remember rules and all), I also never learned English grammar in dept because the method I was taught for 9 years was just "go with the flow" kind of method..so yeah I don't know grammar and now it came back to haunt me. Anyway, i did a LOT of vocab today, I watched the same 3minutes video about seasons a couple too many times.
Months: Aylar Month: Ay Year: Yıl Months of the year: Yılın ayları (sound: Yulun ailaru) Season: Mevsimler Seasons of the year: Yılın Mevsimlerı During my study, i noticed that the verb comes at the end of the phrase, and that made things easier to understand as i listened to the video.
This is an overview of everything i did, i'm not gonna post all of my dialogues/vocab study just because it's all in Portuguese and i kind of wanna keep this blog in English, so yeah, if a sound doesn't make sense for you is probably in Portuguese (as always lmao), also downloaded FLIP, maybe that will help with focus (im a little bit competitive)

Basic Turkish 101. (Alphabet/Alfabe)
Yeah so this is day one-ish of learning Turkish, i kind of know a couple of things because i keep learning vocab from Pinterest but i really wanna learn so i just decided to maybe transfer all my things from Notion to Tumblr, that way i can make a little journal of things, and maybe leave Notion (nothing wrong with it i just don't see the point in using anymore when taking notes ends up not being the priority and making cute little templates takes too much time). Anyway...i will be using the "technique" my Korean teacher use, which consist in learning the alphabet and taking notes on how each letter sounds for YOU, because sometimes my ears will listen to one thing and process better that way and someone else will listen something a little different, and thats whats learning a new language is about you know...doing what works FOR YOU.  A: a   araba (car) B: bé   balik (fish) C: gyê   ceket (jacket) Ç: tchê çilek (strawberry) D: dé defter (notebook)  E: ee   elma (apple) F: fé fabrika (factory) G: qgé gözlük (glasses) Ğ: guê (there isn't a word that starts with this letter) H: ré hastane (hospital) I: (i without the dot) û ışık (light)  i: i istanbul J: je jilet (gilette) K: que kitap (book) L: lé limon (lemon) M: mé meyve (fruit) the “e” in the end has an "á" sound (meivá) N: ne nane (mint) O: ó otubüs (bus) Ö: ô ("water" in french) öğretmen (teacher) P: pé para (money) R: rré radyo (radio) S: sé saat (watch) Ş: shé semsiye (umbrella) the "e" has an "i" sound (shemsi-i) (shemsi-Á in portuguese) T: té televizyon (TV) U: oo uçak (avião) uchak Ü: ü ("were" in french) ütü (iron) V: vé   vücut (body) vudchut Y: yeh yanak (cheek) Z: zé zeytin (olive)
