If I can’t see a path, I can just make one myself
Dangsin-eolgul-apeseo (Hong Sangsoo) (2021)
I might be the only one who's glad Sun Oh didn't end up with JoJo.
I call it poetic justice. Tbh I was never fond of Jojo's character. She already had a boyfriend when SunOh kissed her(and she kissed back). Looked romantic on screen, but in a way it was cheating. But she decided to go with the flow, given she had family issues and SunOh made her happy. She kept going with the flow.....till she decided to give up on him.
Let's return to why I called this poetic justice. Regardless of his genuine feelings or the pain from heartbreak, he DID go after the girl he KNEW his friend liked. HE BROKE THE BRO CODE FIRST.
In fact, Hye Young was generous enough to overlook all and in the end, I was rooting for him only.
However, I hope Song Kang manages to end up with the FL in his acting project someday.
Love Alarm (2019)
#30 Lawless Lawyer
An adult Sang Pil leaves his lucrative practice in Seoul and returns to Kisung to bring those responsible for his mother's death to justice. He takes over a loan shark business and converts it into the Lawless Law Firm. Jae Yi is suspended from practicing law after assaulting a judge, loses her job, and also returns home to Kisung. She soon ends up working for Sang Pil, and later becomes his partner when reinstated as a lawyer. After learning the truth about Moon Sook, she joins Sang Pil in his pursuit of justice for the wrong done to their mothers. Together, they use the law to fight against Moon Sook and her associates. Over time, they fall in love.
Moon Sook and Oh Joo grow in influence and power through corrupt methods; Oh Joo becomes the mayor of Kisung and Moon Sook is nominated for chief justice in the Supreme Court. They and their associates oppose the Lawless Law Firm both inside and outside the courtroom by using underhanded tactics, including murdering Dae Woong and framing Sang Pil for it, bribing or threatening witnesses and assaulting Jae Yi. Despite the obstacles in their way, Sang Pil and Jae Yi succeed in revealing Moon Sook's crimes in court and successfully plead their case against her. Moon Sook and her associates end up in prison, whereas Oh Joo commits suicide. Jae Yi and Sang Pil then return to Seoul to help Prosecutor Cheon Seung Beom fight against corrupt officials.

In Front of Your Face (Hong Sang-soo, 2021)

Can we talk about this absolute icon from Love Alarm that deserve all the love and support - Bae Kyeong-Hui (according to asianwiki.com) AKA Lee Hye-Young mom.
"Do you know when the most exciting moment in my life was? It's when I kicked open the front gate and left my old house after yelling at my mom that I didn't want to live like her." Like, come on.
that scene where the 3 of them were at the crossing when they’re grown up and jojo’s love alarm rang, they made us think that the heart was from hyeyoung but little did we know that that was the first time it showed us that sun oh still liked her after 4 years without sun oh realising it. hyeyoung deleted the app long ago so her alarm rang cause of sun oh :’)
