I definitely did not expect to love Extraordinary Attorney Woo as much as I do, but one of the things I absolutely do adore so far is how they are taking a lot of Woo Young-woo little idiosyncrasies and ticks she has as an autistic person and using them to built an absolutely adorable love story.

She doesn’t really get a lot of unwritten rules social rules? Great, Lee Joon-ho is ready to write down their own set of rules, from “talking about whales is allowed when it’s the two of us” to “this is a list of date appropriate activities”. Woo Young-woo doesn’t like hand-holding? Great, let’s have them count the seconds they are able to hold hands and then put a scene when they are touching their hands through a glass on top of that, just in case the audience didn’t have enough of this regency era like romance tropes. Woo Young-woo doesn’t know how to communicate her feelings towards others? Well, we will have her take advice from a male colleague and start courting Lee Joon-ho like he’s a harlequin heroine, because gender norms are for fake anyway. And then they will have a battle on a sidewalk about who gets to walk on the external side, just in case they ever get hit by a car. Who even said office romance cannot have arguments about who gets to die for each other?

Also. They way Woo Young-woo just. Turns around and walk away from conversations when Lee Joon-ho flusters her. And then he is so fond of it! He’s proud of himself! This is going straight to my heart, thanks.

This whole romance is absolutely adorable. And so soft! I just love them a lot.

When I walk with Jun-Ho, people think he's doing volunteer work for a disabled person. When the taxi driver was holding on to the defendant, I had money, too. But the driver didn't see me as someone capable of resolving the situation. I can tell how my autism and the defendant's autism are similar and how they are different. But the prosecutor can't. Which means... Neither can the judges.

I don’t normally post about TV shows, but I’ve been watching Extraordinary Attorney Woo on Netflix and I can’t stop thinking about it! I’ve never watched a K-Drama before, but I’m absolutely hooked and have saved a bunch more to my Netflix list. Let me know if there’s another one I should watch!

Update on my current watching of The Extraordinary Attorney Woo:

I know it's not going to happen, but I fully believe that the only believable and the extremely correct way for the Young-woo/Joon-ho/Su-yeon love triangle to end is in polyamory.

Like— Joon-ho and Su-yeon both holding out their arms to shield Young-Woo from the abusive husband instinctively? Young-Woo calling Joon-ho "the good looking one" and Su-yeon "spring sunshine"? Joon-ho getting upset with Kwan for not believing that he could like Young-Woo?? Su-yeon getting immediately upset when Young-Woo says that she's hard to like?? The parallels between Joon-ho and Su-yeon both opening Young-Woo's drinks and helping her go through the revolving doors??? Young-Woo trying to help create situations for the other two to get together because even though it bothers her (whether she knows why or not) she knows that Su-yeon likes Joon-ho and believes he feels the same way and she wants both of these people to be happy???

In Conclusion: I think these three should be allowed to be happy and in love
