Not sure if something similar to this had been asked before.
Vox Machina having to rescue a friend who’s been kidnapped/captured. Friend has a knack for escaping, but the reason they haven’t escaped yet was because they’ve been Feebleminded. So while it made it easier for their captors to hold them as prisoner, it did cause a great deal of stress on friend.
I believe this is basically a “How would Vox Machina react to their friend being under the Feeblemind spell” type of ask.
The feeble-minded is such *chefs kiss* angst 💔😈
Masterlist 10
It wasn’t like you to be back so late, but you were so different. It struck a nerve of concern to your significant other when they noticed you, and how different you seemed after the take down of a suspicious mage who had been abducting others. It’s sad, frustrating and heartbreaking.
A/n - for context, Feeble-mind spell is you can’t cast spells, activate magic items, understand language, or communicate in any intelligible way. But can, however, identify friends, follow them, and even protect them.
Vex’ahlia
She gets out of bed everyday for you. It may be small progress, but she will help you remember. All the good things, all the bad, especially all your memories with her. “Come on darling, try for me.” Even Trinket prods at your hands to see if you remember him
Keyleth
She sees you admiring her armor, the staff, the antlers that adorn her person. There’s a child-like amusement in your eyes when you look at her but deep down it’s hard for the Druid to accept that a part of you is gone
Pike
The cleric endlessly prays to Sarenrae and spends hours in a day to try and heal your mind, sitting by your side to hold your hand and see if today you turn a new leaf.
Vax’ildan
The patience is always extended to you, but sometimes it just eats away at Vax when he’s not able to fully connect with you. It’s bittersweet and tears at his heart when you smile at him, but is it because your memories of him are coming back,? Vex sees the turmoil her brother has gone through and tries to be there for him.
Grog
It hasn’t dawned on him yet that it will be a long while until you are back to “normal”. That is if they can get you back to normal again. In his feeble attempts, the barbarian tries to have Pike help him in efforts to get you to remember him
Percy
He was never one to truly understand the intricacies of the arcane but when it affects you to such a degree, it drives him mad. Tomes, healers, anything he can get his hands on just to help you. It’s times like these he’s relieved the demon doesn’t manipulate his mind with you as his weakness.
Scanlan
It’s bittersweet work but he tries everyday for you. Music seems to work when you smile in familiarity to his tunes, so at least there’s the hopeful element there. But sometimes the bard feels like he could do more

“ The Chroma Conclave “
This started out as a very late night sketch to help me fall asleep but I just had to finish it. This took me right back to my younger years of drawing nothing but dragons and it really gave me a good spark of inspiration. Drawing them will always be my favorite!
I can’t wait to see this bunch again soon.

Laura (as Vex): …one time, I saw a bug climbing up-
Liam (as Vax): Ugh go to sleep
Vex: brother it was carrying something 5x it’s size!

6 years ago i made a piece in honour of the conclusion of the Chroma Conclave. I was inexplicably compelled to draw it yet again thanks to The Legend of Vox Machina.
Time flies.
(Also a friend pointed out that you could tell my current cats are utterly chaotic compared to the cat i lived with when i drew the first piece and it’s extremely true)

Lament for Vax’ildan
This is genuinely one of my favourite pieces I’ve ever done and I’m still not over it. I love Vax and his story so much, and I wanted to capture a bit of the eeriness of being a token of a god.
