Suspicions

With subclasses who had family's who used or betrayed them they would notice things when things about Saint Germaintgar were suspicion. When tsubaki talked about him, why he exist and about his names that have thought the tsubaki is just being used. They aren't sure if it just their previous experience clouding their judgment or lack of understanding. Either way they don't think they could talk to tsubaki about it as he loves Saint Germain. When the count does hurt tsubaki thought their going to regret not talking about it sooner.

How team m (servamp) sleeps:

Tsubaki,i feel like hes gonna snore a little, claims to NOT be annoying, sometimes but also sometimes dont cling, doesnt like sleeping w/ blankets or socks unless its freezing, deep sleeper, man will sleep past a literal fire drill

Sakuya, prolly sleeps with a mahiru plush smh, dreams of mahiru, sometimes clings, likes wearing socks cuz he doesnt wanna touch the cold floor in the morning, light sleeper

Otogiri, doesnt snore at all, grabs onto anything like it will run away from her, likes to sleep with a thin blanket, wakes up at weird times and falls asleep again, light sleeper since she has to stay alert unless someone or something broke into the team m base

Higan, man probably sleeps in the last position he was in, complains of back pain when he slept in a freaking chair, just flops onto the bed and/or floor and sleeps, snores loudly, heavy sleeper

Berukia/belkia (how to spell his name??), loud, moves ALOT, sleeps w/ a teddy bear tsubaki gave him,could fall off the bed if not carefull/in a deep sleep, has fallen asleep head down-ass up position, heavy sleeper

Shamrock, sleeps on his back with arms folded across his chest, wears a blanket up to his chest, clings sometimes but not always, doesnt move at all sometimes, light sleeper, a door opening could wake him up

Lila/lilac, sleeps with a plushie, wears socks and uses a blanket, surrounds himself with pillows, light sleeper

T/N: So, in the Tsubaki & Higan dialog, Higan literally asks Tsubaki to “cheat well” or “gloss over” it, but that seems to mean “Tell Sham some good reason that’s not ‘I washed it’“ lmao. And Tsubaki’s answer is literally “there’s a limit to the amount of variations of an excuse for why the phone broke”, but that felt a bit redundant lmao. Also, Higan, pls. Check your pockets. I’ve washed money before, I think once or twice a DS cartridge, but...

Otogiri technically just says “The smell stays” or “the smell clings”, but while that sounded fine in Japanese, I felt like it was missing something in English. Higan’s last line in that dialog is literally just “Uncle feels inferior”, but I figured it’s because Otogiri sends him out when it’s cold (I’m on her side).

Also, he still uses “old man”/”uncle” for “I” a few times more often than I translated bc it sounded weird to me to let him say it Every. Single. Time.

That little pause before Tsurugi replies... T_T

All of them said nothing reading the question but Shamrock looks to sigh rubbing the back of his head. "Lets just say we have a few times. Or almost more than that. Since Master is married now and all, we try not to bother them if their....heated." he said in quotes.

"To say the least, I believe we did that about 10 times by accident so far." Berkia said as well when the others think. "But I can't remember if we caught them in the act."

"I have....but that was an accident. I was delivering some things to him but ended up walking in while he was well..I'm not going to say but they were going to. So yeah." the others heard Higan said this but geez, that explains a lot.

I know mahiru is often seen as not smart (his official stats from the guidebook give him a 2 out of 10 for tactics and I think the mental stat is more about mental stability?) and sure he's not a tactical genius like mikuni or touma (both have 10/10 in tactics) but mahiru is extremely socially/emotionally intelligent, which is an intelligence often overlooked in favour of "classic" intelligence (like being good at math or things like chess).

But unlike other characters mahiru knows when to stand his ground and when to lay low and change a person's view slowly over time.

Misono wasn't on his side in the beginning, even saying mahiru could be his servant when mahiru agreed to work with him, but mahiru quickly picked up on the fact that misono was lonely and offered to be his friend. Now misono trusts him completely and recognizes that mahiru's strength lies in gaining allies.

Shuhei openly hated vampires and treated them as things and mahiru responded by humanizing them, listing examples of vampires acting just like normal people, laying the first stone for shuhei to stop wanting to kill all vampires.

He was the one who proposed the idea that tsubaki would come to rescue lilac because tsubaki sees his subclass as family and he was right.

Neither lawless nor licht were overly impressed by him when they first met him, but by the time he asks them to rescue tsurugi especially lawless is one of his biggest supporters.

In C3 he understood that he wasn't going to be able to move if he opposed them and joined them instead, allowing him and the other eves to meet. He also correctly concluded that getting tsurugi on their side was key because he was central to C3's/touma's plans and in the end it saved his life and allowed him to stop touma.

Mahiru consistently trying to protect tsubaki's subclass might also come in handy soon. They might not like C3, but both lilac and sakuya can vouch for mahiru as a person they can trust not to kill them and to aid them in stopping tsubaki from destroying himself.

And stopping tsubaki by convincing him to stop is perfectly logical. A servamp can't be killed as far as we know. Combat only gets you so far. If C3 want to create a lasting co-existence between vampires and humans getting both sides to stop killing each other and to learn to forgive is the only way.

Trying to solve this conflict through conversation and not violence is neither shortsighted nor childish, it's the only reasonable solution.

Yeah my idea is that it takes place roughly a year after Servamp canon and 2/3 years after Kagerou Project. The dan move to Tokyo because most of them were going to college there, cue Seto and Marry getting a job at the flower shop.

Anyway if I do write it, it'll be a bit more comedy/slice of life, one idea is that one day while at work Seto's powers activate and his eyes turn red, cue Lilac assuming he's another subclass who just uses illusion to hide his red eyes.

(also I have a headcanon that since Lilac doesn't seem to have a weapon his subclass power is similar to Kidos eye power)

Considering Strike Tanaka wrote for the Kagepro fan anthologies I'm surprised there aren't more people in both fandoms,, It also makes total sense for both stories to take place in the same universe considering the Servamp world has all kinds of mythical creatures including gorgons, so Azami could exist.

and it's like a recurring theme in servamp.

shamrock who killed yoshimasa in revenge and yet the guilt is eating him alive and he wished so badly to end it all by using shuuhei, begging shuuhei to shoot him to punish him

lilac who got his revenge on lawless for killing his friends but also thanking mahiru for being nice to him and claimed that mahiru now has the right to kill him too

the hate is real, but the love is real too. the existence of hate doesn't deny the existence of love

Getting Some Infomation(Lilac)

During lilac captivity they ask some questions about tsubaki plans and questions about tsubaki personality(mahiru). Lilac being more comfortable with mahiru does really mind answer question about tsubaki personality. Mostly because he can say tsubaki is crazy and loving to his subclass. Maybe say some stuff about tsubaki depression. Your choice.

Tsubaki and his Subclasses

So a little while back I noticed something that I’m not sure if anyone has really pointed out; a black ribbon. All but Lilac has one (Tsubaki himself doesn’’t seem to have one either). Otogiri, on her left ankle. Belkia, wrapped around his neck. Higan, tied in his hair. Sakuya, from time to time, on his upper left arm. Shamrock, his left breast pocket, although I am not sure if that is what that is, but it is likely. Also to note, Higan’s hair is typically seem behind him on his left with the ribbon sticking out that way and with Belkia it is tied to the left.

As for Lilac I even took a look back at his two friends who appear in only flashbacks, but they too do not seem to have any black ribbons on them.

The only thing I could possibly take from this all is that only the strongest subclasses have a black ribbon, which is strange to begin with and not only that they’re all located to the left and that being mentioned, Tsubaki is indeed left-handed so that does have some connection.

I could be a simple design but a clever one that is.
