I’ve thought I could post some of my pencils sketches fanart to Lin Rina’s Kroniky prachu (Animant Crumbs Staubchronik) too though it’s probably weird just post them without further comments (because that would take lots of explanation). But hey, I think these look good, so why not to post them on another place where hardly anyone cares for my works, right? Ahem.  Yes, the bottom two, belongs together. Except of the fourth one, all were drawn during November. For second, fourth and sixth picture I used pose ref by @jookpubstock  , for third one I used ref pic by ThePoseArchives.

Animant Crumb, from the same book as Thomas Reed on the previous drawing here.  When I was about to draw her I was searching for some pose among the ref pics that would fit her and found this with putting a book into a shelf which matches perfectly ot her and the story and so made a sketch and was pleased how the sketch is turning out and then I’ve thought - dang! I’ll have to draw rows of books in the background again. Hahaha. I almost gave up but then I didn’t and I wasn’t quite enough patient to give proper care to drawing the shapes of the books, I think it turned out pretty fine at the end. Actually I’m rather happy how it turned out - not just the background, but Animant herself and the drawing as whole. Maybe I’m not so hopeless in the drawing after all. Pose reference is by AdorkaStock again and it’s drawn with Derwent Inktense again :).

Just watched the Entirety of B2 with my friend

(I am horrible to watch LoK with I Will Talk through it)

Most of the Korra and the civil war plot line is… not the best.

The entirety of Bolin’s and Mako’s love life plots could be tossed. Just don’t need them.

I will Never Acknowledge they said she didn’t regain the connection. The previous Avatars are part of Raava and should have been restored when she was.

I do like the Mako trying to push his way into the force and Lin needing to put him in his place a few times. (But his name was the first thing out of her mouth when Reiko said no one saw it coming)

I accept the Varr*k plotline and how he moved as a bad guy in the season.

Can you IMAGINE the report Lin had to fill out after Mako stepped into the interview room During the investigation.

- First of all HOW did Asami and Varr*k get so far into the police building that they were in the observation room?

- How did Mako get his hands on evidence from a case he Was Not assigned to?

- WHY were they (especially Asami and Varr*k) Allowed to get into the interrogation room?

- also if the two mustache detectives were assigned to the case and Lin wasn’t taking evidence for it why was she in the room?? (Tells me she didn’t trust these two’s methods and wanted the info First Hand)

Can you Imagine the paperwork? She would have to account for everything done and said and why certain people were in the room. And How is she going to explain a beat cop asking her witness In The Interrogation Room questions with evidence he should NOT have been able to get ahold of.

The legal issues Mako causes for Lin. He is lucky she didn’t shitcan him by the second thick headed mistake.

BACKGROUND:

isadora lin was born the first child of two dreamers. her mother an aspiring singer, her father an aspiring filmmaker. together, they supported each other and all they wanted out of life.

living in new york city seemed like a no-brainer for people with such big dreams, so it's no surprise that's where this little family ended up

there were some jobs here and there for both, and they each felt a rush every time they had an opportunity pop up

these opportunities would often pull them away from their small family unit. it was hard for the other to stay with their baby / toddler while the other was off chasing their dream

it soon became a game of hot potato. one parent gone for a few months, the other taking off as soon as the first returns home. this game continues until isadora is five, when the couple finally called it quits.

they were never married, so legally the split was easier. and, surprisingly, the custody problem was easy as well. they lived in the same city and would allow her to go back and forth as she pleased ( as long as it were possible ).

isadora having the option to CHOOSE growing up was helpful with her confidence. knowing her choices were heard and mattered.

with such artistic parents, it's almost expected for her to start attending theatre camps at the age of six.

her parents had taken her for a couple of commercial auditions from the ages of eight to ten, but overall, isadora found herself most comfortable on the stage.

some people loved the stage because it gave them the chance to be somebody else, but isadora loved it because it gave her the chance to simply BE SOMEBODY. somebody that people recognized, perceived, and listened to.

she was confident, there was no doubt about it. you had to be to do live performances. if anything, each performance made her confidence grow more and more.

she'd auditioned for each and every school play in high school, but everything changes for her when she's cast as helena in a midsummer night's dream her senior year of high school

in typical high school rivalry, it's a bit of shock when another school in the district is also doing a midsummer night's dream

during an impromptu meeting between the casts is when isadora meets SOLANA KIMANI for the first time. they're meant to be enemies ( and if you asked isadora, they were ), but is it really isadora's fault that she can't stop glancing over at her?

they're definitely enemies, but they're also definitely meeting up after school to rehearse their lines together. isadora can't help but be entranced by solana's... well, everything.

they're most definitely enemies, but isadora can't help the butterflies she feels when solana shows up to her opening night with flowers to support her ( ditching her own opening night in the process )

it's all very innocent after that. a few dates and a few kisses, because they're both off to different colleges after that. they knew what they were getting themselves into-- a relationship right before college was never meant to last. they were enjoying each other's company while they could, and after that, they're just a fond high school memory

when your parents are such artistic types, they're only a tad bit heartbroken when you tell them you DON'T want to be a professional actor and would rather be a doctor

isadora is twenty-nine when she finally finishes her residency. she decides to take one more year in new york for a fellowship program.

when she's thirty, she realizes new york is too fast paced for her and she needs something a bit slower

denver seems nice, and horizon family health is looking for a family practitioner

as she's adjusting to the new surroundings, isadora can't help but just feel LONELY. she's left everyone she knows behind in new york, so can you blame her for turning to online dating?

isadora has to think she's dreaming, because is that SOLANA KIMANI on her screen?

she tries to act cool, but how do you act cool when the universe is handing you the one who got away on a silver platter?

it only takes two months for solana to propose and for isadora to say yes. when you know, you just know.

they're married a year before solana starts bringing up FOSTERING and ADOPTING. it wasn't something isadora had really been thinking, but she would do anything to make solana happy. she didn't hate the idea, either.

it's been ten years since they started fostering, and although it has been a struggle, isadora wouldn't change a thing

New drawing for Kroniky prachu (Animant Crumbs Staubchronik) by Lin Rina.  It’s now running StabchronikNovember challenge, that is re-reading of the book according to days in the story (most of the story happens during one month of November), and I decided I would add some skethcing to it too. I won’t post all sketches/drawings here (where hardly anyone cares for it anyway) but I’ve thought I could some of them. (I’m posting all of them on Instagram) I won’t explain the scene, I just add that Mr.Reed here (and books in his hands too) is supposed to look wet and I think I rather managed to do the wet look despite the fact that I had no idea how to do that.  Reference pics for head and hands by @jookpubstock . I don't know if it's not weird to mention the references when it's just pieces and they ended up looking somewhat different anyway but I was using them so I guess it's polite to do that, right?

Thomas Reed from the book by Lin Rina - Animant Crumbs Staubchronik (that’s  original (german) title, in czech it’s Kroniky prachu, I’m not sure if it even has english edition, I tried for search for it and didn’t find it (just like I didn’t find bany fanart either)). Anyway - I totally LOVE the book, I don’t even remember when I last enjoyed reading so much (if ever). I haven’t finished yet, I was just few chapters from the end and slowed down, because I don’t want to end it yet! and then was busy with finishing the crochet gift. Anyway I guess you can expect more fanart. And I really like how this turned out and it has even bakcground again! Well, rather lame I admit, but I didn’t have nerves to make whole background of books (it’s in library) basically third time in row lol, so just went with the stairs (I had the first appearance of Thomas on my mind when drawing it) and it’s definitely better than just usual uncertain smudges in the background... wait, is this third time in row that I actually drew the background? An incomplete and not in order list Because my brain is running a hundred different directionssssss

He is 10 years older than her but nothing starts with them until after the Linzin breakup so Lin’s like 33 ish he’s 43, long after she’s established in the RCPD and Toph and Su are gone.

Bumi wasn’t a violent man towards family and friends but the next time Bumi was in port after he heard what Tenzin did to Lin. Dropping her for Pema. (And expecting a kid within a year of breaking up with Lin) he decked Tenzin in front of Pema and the other air acolytes on ATI. Dropping Tenzin like a sack of bricks to the stone. “That’s for Linny.” He all but spat at the dazed Tenzin.

They write a lot. A LOT a lot. Lin receives several letters at the same time because Bumi has to mail them all at the same port after a while at sea. She saves every one of them but she would never admit it and Bumi assumes she tosses them but they’re hidden under a stone in her house. Lin doesn’t write as often to him as it usually ends up at the wrong port for him to be able to collect it.

They’re actually married but NO ONE KNOWS because Lin won’t wear a ring when she’s at work and no one can catch her when she’s not at work and Bumi doesn’t feel the need to tell anyone if they haven’t figured it out yet (*cough* Tenzin being oblivious)

One time Korra catches Bumi kissing Lin while they think no one was around at ATI and she was shoook

Bumi didn’t get any updates on what happened after Amon until it was weeks after everyone was at Katara’s house and as soon as he heard about it he couldn’t get there fast enough and no one dared tell Commander Bumi II that he couldn’t leave his assignment to get to his wife after what they heard happened.

Lin was in such bad state omg all the other hc injuries and nightmares but she was so pale and sickly thin when he got to her. He pulled her close to him and Lin just breaks down crying and apologizing over and over. (The night terror / comfort ficsssss please I beg)

When Bumi gets his airbending Lin grows distant a bit not really a huge fan of the new development but not discouraging him from his excitement. They do eventually talk it out but that’s kinda post series.

Bumi frantically digging through the wreckage of Kuvira’s mech to find Lin. (A Fog Au where Lin and Su are thrown into the spirit world by the explosion and Lin gets lost in the fog of lost souls- I think I have a few of those posts somewhere still)

Bumi joking that Mako/Rina(oc) or Bolin/Opal need to give him and Lin grankids soon because he’s retired and his niblings are growing up and finding other things to spend their time on than joking around with uncle Bumi.

Bumi loves making Lin smile and always manages to get a smirk at least as he’s goofing off in company. Sometimes he gets a chuckle and his week is made. Nothing can beat his Linny smiling and laughing.
