*Accidentally swears in front of Linder.*
You did not hear that.
*squishes his cheeks.*
Don't repeat that word, okay? Lord Elrond will kill me if he finds out I taught you to swear. You are too adorable and innocent for this.
Tumblr media
Gingerly prying your hands off his cheeks and cupping them in a soft embrace, he chuckled. “Meleth, I'm not a baby who hasn't heard such crudeness before, especially when Lord Erestor and the twins exists.”

Lindir x Male Reader
Tumblr media
Type: fluff
Word count: 1890
Warnings: fluff, reader's an elf, some comedy, reader's in Rivendell's patrol guard, reader and Lindir are courting, reader and Lindir being cute boyfriends, reader's bit clumsy
Summary: something fluffy with the best boi
A/N: Lately been reading a lot of @/aeonianarchives (on tumblr) x reader fics and they inspired me writing this little fic hehe do check their fics out they are really good! 👀 anyways I was gonna post this for Christmas but yeah XD anyways for New Years it is XD Also I wish all those who celebrate a Merry Christmas and all you a Happy New Year! 💕💕
Translations: meleth nin - my love
"Oh meleth nin what has happened to you?" you let out surprised, walking swiftly towards Lindir who had just entered the front door of your small home, his winter great robe ripped from his lower back almost to his knees, one side of his robe underneath drenched in a cold wet smear of frost and rainwater, stressed out expression on his face.
"I was just enjoying some fresh morning air and the beautiful winter view outside and as I was heading back I slipped on the frozen patch on the floor... and ripped my robes in the process too..." he looked so visibly embarrassed with his heated up red cheeks and ears.
"Oh, my darling-", you moved your hands from where they stood holding his shoulders and hugged him tightly.
"How embarrassing..." he quietly let out into your shoulder, arms weakly hugging back.
"Oh it is alright it can happen to anyone," you comforted him, knowing his racing mind would see it as such a big deal when it really wasn't, "Don't you remember last year when I was late for my patrol and was rushing to meet up with Erestor and my foot slipped and I slid all the way right to his feet on my back nearly knocking him over too? And even lord Elrond witnessed that as well, along with you?" you chuckled and grinned a little remembering your embarassing situation, whose consequences followed you for quite some time afterwards with your patrol mates.
Lindir through his flushed cheeks bursted into laughter and giggles, covering his mouth slightly with his hand trying not to laugh at you but the memory was too funny to be able not to, "I'm sorry-," he managed to let out through his laughter.
"No it's alright it was really funny," you laughed along with him, "I did get onto polishing duty that night as a punishment but it was really funny nevertheless," you grinned.
"Yeah, I thought you slid all the way down some hill and Erestor had to pull you out by your armour and that's why you were late that night," Lindir burst into laughter again and you laughed along at the joke on your expense.
"Honestly at one point it was really close," you grinned and started to remove Lindir's great robe off his shoulders, as the two of you finally calmed down from your laughing fit.
"Whatever shall we do with your robes, my little bird? You don't have any other ones thick enough for this cold."
"Yes, but I will be alright don't worry, just going to wear an extra layer underneath-" Lindir began but you cut him off quickly.
"Nonesense, I'll take your coat to get fixed and till then-" you stopped rummaging through your closet, as Lindir quickly changed into new clean robes, pulling something out and getting up and handing him your brand new patrol winter cloak you were gifted recently, its back graced with the well known intricately embroidered crest with a mighty presence of it's own, "-you shall wear mine," you smiled happily.
Lindir looked at your cloak in bit of a shock blushing slightly, "No I-I can't- It's brand new and-"
"Come on darling, everyone knows we're courting, I think. Unless you wish to carry me draped around your shoulders as a coat to warm you up all day? But then you'd have to explain Erestor why I'm not on patrol all day," you grinned then smiled widely.
"You dummy harebrained elf," he chuckled, "Fine I will take it. But I know I'll get so many questions and comments and gazes about it."
"Even better, then you can brag about your sexy boyfriend to everyone."
He blushed at your comment and the funny pose you called "sexy" that you did while saying that, "You silly elf."
You smiled at him warmly, loving to see him smiling and laughing and happy, it made you whole being warm and fluffy on the inside and your heart skip a beat, just like the moment you first laid your eyes on him.
He caught your gaze and blushed again, lips spreading into a beautiful smile.
You smiled even more, slowly coming closer to him and placing a long kiss on his lips before fixing your robe onto his shoulders.
He blushed, looking at you doing it and standing still as you did.
You smiled once you did, taking a look at him, "My sir Lindir you're looking quite dashing today," you spun him around and proceeded to kiss the back of his hand afterwards when he turned back around.
He chuckled and blushed again, "You dummy-"
You grinned at him, pulling him close to your armour-clad chest and hugging him tightly, swaying a bit as if to music as you did, humming a little, "I don't wish to go to work, can't we stay indoors and cuddle all day?"
"I wish.." Lindir murmured through the fabric of your cloak, his face stuffed into your shoulder, " but we should get going. Lord Elrond must be wondering where I am already, and I'm sure Erestor is waiting for you too."
"Mhhh.. you're right," you let out a whine before responding.
Giving him a forehead smooch you peeled yourself off of him and fixed him up, him doing the same to you with a smile.
"Ready?" you asked, sighing a bit dreading the cold outside.
"Yes," Lindir chimed in agreement.
"Let's go then, I'll walk you to lord Elrond's, can't have you slipping and falling again and Eru forbid hurting yourself," you said as you draped your arm around his shoulder as he grabbed a couple of books of the table and then leading you both out, closing the door behind you two once you got out.
"Ah you don't have to, I'll be fine, I'll be more careful-"
"Nu-uh, I won't hear it," you mused intertwining your arms with his.
He sighed knowing there's no arguing with you when his safety is in question and the two of you made your way to Elrond's study where Lindir usually finds him in the morning.
As the two of you made your way through the passageways and halls Lindir's cheeks only grew hotter and hotter as passing elves shot him gazes and smiles.
You returned the smiles when glances were caught and only pulled Lindir closer, proud to have him as your boyfriend and so very proud to be seen with him.
Lindir too was very proud of having you as his and calling you his own, but he just got flustered very easily and was very very shy, despite how long the two of you have been together.
Whenever he'd look away shy you'd just rub the back of his hand reassuringly and shot him a warm smile, melting all his insecurities and bad thoughts away.
The two of you safely found your way to Elrond's study, halting at the big intricately carved wooden door.
"This is where we part meleth nin, all safe and sound," you smiled, placing a soft kiss on his forehead, which made his cheeks heat up and smile warmly.
"Yes, thank you for walking me to here, now rush off to Erestor before he gets mad," he spoke, worried for you getting a punishment for your inattentiveness to the time, "but be careful on frozen bits, don't need you scooping up Erestor this time."
You chuckled, "I won't.. hopefully-," you grinned interrupted by a clearing of a throat beside you.
"I see you've brought my assistant to me safe and sound," lord Elrond stood by half-opened door of his study, sly amused smirk plastered on his face, gaze landing on the long cloak draped across Lindir's back.
Lindir blushed so quickly, eyes widening at the thought of his lord seeing the displays of affection the two of you just shared.
"Yes my lord, I hope you don't mind," you smiled at him and then at Lindir, who was having a internal panic attack.
"Oh not at all," Elrond smiled, grinning slightly, his smile getting wider when his eyes landed on Lindir.
"Now I must leave, patrol awaits," you smiled at them both, shooting a loving gaze at Lindir, not wanting to attack him with kisses right in front of Elrond so he doesn't die of hyperventilation, "my lord," you took a little bow towards Elrond before turning on your heels and taking off towards the meetup spot.
"Haste your step, Erestor has already come asking for you," Elrond chimed after you, "and watch your step too," he commented, reminding you of your past incident.
"Thank you my lord, I shall," you blushed a little on his comment, bit embarrassed he still remembers that, and rushed off to Erestor.
Later that evening you returned quite late to your warm home, words of you day having had come to Lindir already.
Lindir was reading a book by the fireplace, two cups of hot freshly brewed tea on a small table besides him.
Hearing you opening the front door he stood up, smiling at you before making his way towards you, "Quite late this time, rough day?"
You let out a small whine as you slumped down on your spot, " You heard?.."
"Yes. Infamous Y/n strikes again, and this time doesn't miss," Lindir let out a chuckle, straightening you up and pulling you into a big warm hug which you gladly returned.
"It was so embarrassing, he landed right on top of me, and I got extra two hours of polishing duty as punishment," you whined, stuffing your face into his neck.
"So I've heard," he chuckled, rubbing your back comfortingly till you finally straightened and pulled away.
"How was your day? Did someone tease you about the cloak? Were you warm?"
"I-I was," he blushed a little, "so many people stared at me, and kept murmuring about it, even lord Elrond commented-" he blushed profoundly.
"What did he say?" you smiled, listening to your rambling boyfriend.
"He said I look nice in it, that it suits me," Lindir blushed even more.
You chuckled and grinned, "See? I told you."
"Hngghh," now it was Lindir's time to whine as he covered his face with his hands.
You chuckled and pulled him into a big tight hug, smooching the top of his head lovingly and then resting your cheek on top of it.
"Now let's not ponder on it, lets rather relax instead," you smiled, leading his form towards the cozy warm living room.
"I guess you are right," he sighed, "I made tea."
"Oh how wonderful, I love your teas, you make the best ones," you smiled excitedly, moving to your shared bedroom and removing your armour and setting it in it's place and getting all cozy and comfy in some casual robes quickly.
"Cuddles?" you asked with hopeful eyes as you returned to the living room, finding that Lindir has already gotten comfy in front of the fireplace, waiting for you.
"Cuddles," Lindir returned with a smile, blushing slightly.
You grinned widely and flopped besides him, pulling his body close and wrapping your arms around his waist as he chuckled and smiled at you. The two of you finally enjoying your evening with some tea and a good book and of course some very much needed and deserved cuddles.

Together
Tumblr media
A/N: sorry for not writing for like ever. this is my first time writing for the LOTR/Hobbit, so I hope it's good :)
Pairing: Lindir x ImpliedFem!Reader
Summary: After doing the one thing you never thought you would, you were sure you and Lindir were done for. Until he promises to work through it, together.
Warnings: poorly written angst, semi-happy ending
Word Count: 510
Minors DNI
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~"Oh, by the Valar." you said.
You took a step towards Lindir, watching as he took a step back, his eyebrows pinching together as his eyes glossed over. He shut them tightly, a lone tear slipping down his cheek.
You opened your mouth to say something, anything, but the words caught in your throat. you couldn't even stutter out an apology for the words that just left your mouth.
You hurt him. The one thing you'd promised yourself you would never do.
You hurt him.
And you didn't think he'd forgive you for it.
You took a few steps back before you turned around completely, your steps quickening to a run as you made your way back to your chambers.
Taking a corset off by yourself was nearly impossible, but you'd never done it faster. When you were stripped down to your undergarments you slipped into a sleep dress, sinking down to the floor.
You brought your knees up to your chest as you slowly started crying, the sobs racking your body and aching your chest, turning your throat raw.
A gentle knock on your door echoed around the room. You stood, turning to watch the door handle slowly turn.
You held your breath, nervous about who might be on the other side.
Your chest constricted as you watched Lindir step in slowly, face red and his eyes cast downwards.
You closed your eyes, tilting your head up to the ceiling, unable to look at the hurt on his face.
The hurt that you put there.
"Lindir," you spoke quietly, "I have never wished so much to take back words as I do now. and I didn't mean a single one."
You stepped towards him, and this time, he didn't move.
"I hurt you, I know I did. And I will spend the rest of my life trying to make it up to you. I need you to understand that I didn't mean a single word of what I said.
"And you deserve better than this. I will never in my life forgive myself, and I understand if you cannot either."
You looked up at him, studying his face for what could very well be the last time.
He took a deep breath, bringing his eyes up from the floor to meet your own.
"I understand. You're right. Your words cut deep, and it will take time before I'm able to fully forgive you. But I'm not leaving you.
"I promised I would be here for you, even when times became difficult. I don't plan on leaving you because of one fight."
By now, years were flowing freely down both of your faces, and you nodded.
He wasn't forgiving you, but he wanted to work through this, and that was enough for you.
He closed the space between you, his arms wrapping tightly around your waist as yours wound around his neck, breathing him in.
"Thank you, Lindir, for not giving up on me."
"Meleth, I will always be here for you. For us. We can get through this. Together."
Exhausted
Pairing: Lindir x reader
Summary: After a long day of work, Lindir is tired and wants to cuddle with his wife.
♡♡♡♡♡♡♡
Tumblr media
♡♡♡♡♡♡♡
It had been a long day of work, but now it was all done and you could go back home to your husband.
It was rare that there was so much work to do in Imladris, so you assumed that Lindir wasn't there yet. But as soon as you opened the door, you realised that you had been wrong in your assumption.
Lindir was lying on his back on the bed you shared. He hadn't even bothered to snuggle up in the blanket or put it over him, but simply lay on top of it.
His eyes were closed and his breathing was slow. But even in his sleep, his forehead had creased into a few worry lines, as the stress and worries of the day must have followed him to sleep.
Even the clothes he was wearing were the ordinary everyday clothes he usually wore and not his sleeping clothes.
You quietly closed the door behind you and slipped into the room.
Slowly you crept over to Lindir and gave him a very gentle kiss on the worry lines on his forehead.
He groaned softly and you hoped you hadn't woken him.
You quietly took off your shoes and loosened your hair from your braid. Then you quietly slipped into your nightgown and fetched a cosy blanket from the wardrobe, as you were reluctant to wake Lindir to get the heavy blanket he was sleeping on.
Just as you sat down on the bed and tried to spread out the blanket, you felt Lindir's arms wrap around you and pull you close.
"Awake?" you asked, giggling softly.
Lindir buried his face in the crook of your neck and mumbled something you didn't understand.
You moved your head so that you could kiss him on the hair and said softly, "My poor Lindir! So overworked! Would you not like to put on something comfortable? I am sure you could sleep much better after that."
But Lindir shook his head.
"No?" you asked a little amused and gently wrapped the blanket around you both.
"I just need you, then I can sleep well," he whispered and nuzzled his face even deeper into the crook of your neck.
You, whose exhaustion was slowly catching up with you too, closed your eyes and let yourself fall into a deep sleep surrounded by your husbands arms.
Ice Bear
Summary: You always were close to Lindir but he suddenly finds your present disturbing and that hurts you. Can you both come to good terms back again?
Word Count: 2023
Warnings: a bit hurt and sad feelings
Linder X Reader
Tumblr media
In the serene woods of Riverdale, amidst the whispering leaves and the soft glow of moonlight, Lindir, the gentle minstrel of the Elves, found himself entangled in an unexpected situation. He had always been known for his kindness and compassion, but lately, he found himself feeling overwhelmed by the attentions of an ardent admirer.
As Lindir strummed his lute beneath the ancient mallorn trees, he sensed the presence of You approaching. With a courteous smile, Lindir welcomed you but his heart sank as You began to speak.
"Lindir," You began earnestly, "I must confess, I find myself drawn to your presence more than ever. Your melodies enchant me, your wisdom inspires me. I... I feel as though I cannot bear to be apart from you, as I was a child I was often by you, I miss that."
Lindir's heart fluttered with discomfort, for while he cherished You as a friend, he did not share the same romantic feelings. With a heavy heart, Lindir gathered his courage to speak his truth.
"Y/n" Lindir began gently, "I am deeply honored by your affection, but I must confess that I feel you have become... too clingy."
Your expression faltered, a flicker of hurt crossing your features. "Clingy? I... I only wish to be close to you, Lindir. Is that not what friends do?"
Lindir sighed, his fingers tracing the delicate patterns of his lute. "Indeed, friends do share a bond of closeness, but there must also be space for individual pursuits and interests. I fear that your constant presence leaves me feeling suffocated, unable to breathe freely."
Silence enveloped them like a shroud as You processed Lindir's words, his gaze cast downwards in contemplation. After a moment, he looked up, his eyes filled with remorse.
"I had not realized," You murmured, your voice tinged with regret. "Forgive me, Lindir, if I have caused you discomfort. I only wished to express my admiration for you."
Lindir's heart clenched with regret at the pain in your voice, but he knew that honesty was the only path forward.
A flicker of hurt crossed your features, like a shadow passing over the moonlit glade. You stood silent for a moment, your gaze fixed upon the ground, before finally lifting his eyes to meet Lindir's.
"I have understood your words, I'm sorry for disturbing you" you murmured, voice tinged with sorrow.
Lindir's heart ached at the pain in your voice, but he knew that he could not retract his words. And so, with a heavy heart, he watched as you quickly turned and walked away, disappearing into the depths of the forest like a fleeting shadow.
Days turned into weeks, and still, there was no sign of You searching for him. Lindir wandered the woods of Riverdale, his heart heavy with regret, longing for the familiar presence of his dear friend. But try as he might, he could find no trace of you, as if you had vanished into the mists of his memory.
And so, beneath the canopy of stars, Lindir played his lute, the echoes of his melodies mingling with the sighing of the trees. For even as the silence between them grew, he held onto the hope that one day, their friendship would bloom anew, like a flower blossoming in the wake of winter's chill.
_______________________________________
A few weeks later
Lindir manage to spot you as you do your usual duty and steps up to you. Your attention is immediately drawn to him as you hear him. You quickly look away and tried to leave but he steps into your way.
"don't you dare to step closer, i don't want you near me" you utter a bit too rough, the Sight of him brings pain.
Lindir stops moving and his heart sinks for a moment. You truly don't want to let him come any closer and it hurts Lindir more than he wants to show. He finally understands that his words had hurted you more than he thought.
"So..." He replies with a mixture of hurt and sadness in his eyes trying to come up with a conversation. "You would have wanted to keep spending time with me and see me and hear my stories like we used to?"
"Have I ever said I don't want that?"
Lindir is quiet for a moment as he lets these words sink in. He realizes how stupid he has been. Maybe things could go back to how they had been. Maybe you are not truly gone from him after all.
"Can I ask you something?" Lindir says as he slowly walks closer to you. "Will you please let me tell you one last story? I still know so many and I was saving at least one for you. You never got to hear it. Will you please let me do that?"
You slowly nod " is it about the ice bear?"
Lindir notices how much you are opening up to him at the mention of a story he wishes to tell you and it warms his heart.
"Indeed it is." He says and looks at you. A moment of silence passes and he then looks at the floor, as if preparing himself. "Shall I begin?"
"yes" you nod and sit down on a nearby bench.
Lindir is quiet for a long moment. He is really glad you want to hear his story, even after he messed up so much. And he wants to make it up to you for it.
"Once, very long ago, there was a group of elves who lived in a far remote area within the forests. And they loved to explore these woods. One day, they stumbled on a cave that was very deep within the depths of the woods. They explored the cave and soon began to be surrounded by a lot of ice."
Your eyes slowly move over to him.
"As they went deeper, they soon noticed that they were becoming surrounded by more and more ice. It was as if the cave was a large freezer. The deeper they went, the tighter the ice became.
But they were brave and went all the way down until they reached a huge chamber that was filled entirely with ice. In the middle of the room, they saw something that startled them immediately."
"the little ice bear?"
Lindir is silent for a second, surprised that you already know most of the story. However, that does not bother him.
"Yes, indeed. It was a tiny little thing, so small that it fit in the palm of your hand. It was lying on its side and barely moving. All the elves were worried that it was going to die because it was freezing.
Then, something unexpected happened. The little ice bear moved its head and suddenly it looked directly at them."
Your eyes slowly show a little bit of your excitement.
Lindir notices a hint of excitement in your eyes. He continues with the story.
"Everybody was shocked at first. But the elf who had been exploring this cave the most got closer with a gentle and cautious approach. He had always loved animals of all kinds and he could not stop himself from trying to save the ice bear. He moved closer and carefully picked up the little bear.
His touch seemed to have an immediate and magical effect, as the very ice that surrounded the bear began to melt. And the little bear regained its breath."
"Wow" you mumble
Lindir smiles at you, realizing that you are enjoying his story more and more.
"Indeed. As the ice vanished, it became visible that the cave was more like a freezer and the ice was like magic frozen on this animal. All the elves were completely astonished at what they could see.
In the end, the elf that had held the small bear in his arms decided to take him with him back to the woods. Since that day, the little ice bear and the elf were inseparable."
"They are friends now?"
"They are not just friends now. They are bonded for the rest of their lives. The ice bear is actually very clingy towards the elf and likes to ride on his shoulders. The elf always loves to pet him and even has given him a name."
Lindir pauses for a moment and then leans a little bit closer to you and speaks softly. "Would you like to know the name he gave him?"
You nod.
Lindir leans even closer, his voice almost a whisper by now. He can tell that this story is hitting a spot in you.
"The elf called the little ice bear 'Icely'. They are so bonded and so close now that it is as if they cannot be separated. Icely is always with the elf and the elf can never be sad because Icely will always be there to cheer him up."
"that sounds nice"
"And what if I told you that that small ice bear reminds me of someone?" He asks you. With a glance, you understand who he is referencing.
"Of who?" You ask, trying to hide your curious feelings.
“It's the one I care so much about and the one that deserves all the kindness and love I have to give. The one I miss every day after you started to avoid me."
"You." He answers softly. "I feel as if we are like the elf and the bear. We cannot be separated. Maybe what happened between us before was so hurtful, but now I am not ready to let you go either. I will never leave you and I will always be here for you whether you wish to admit it or not." He sighs slightly, a bit sad.
"I cannot explain the feeling. Whenever I am with you, I do not feel sad because you are there. Even when I do not have the best day, you make it brighter and happier simply by being there.”
Lindir gets a bit closer to you and he talks softly. His tone is sincere and his eye contact is full of kindness.
“I have told you the story of my friends to tell you this: you are my little ice bear. You are not a burden for me, I promise, i will never tell you something like that so rough, i will be softer."
"Lindir" your voice finally soft again and it drifted through the air like a whisper carried on the wind, "I have missed you."
"Y/n" Lindir breathed, relief flooding through him like a river breaking free from its banks, "I feared I had lost you forever."
You look at him with a hesitant smile, your gaze soft and searching. "I needed time to... to process our conversation, your words were a bit hard for me" you admitted, your voice tinged with vulnerability. "But I realize now that I cannot bear to be apart from you, Lindir."
A surge of warmth flooded Lindir's heart at your words, and he reached out to clasp his hand, their fingers intertwining like the branches of two trees intertwined in a forest glade.
"Nor can I bear to be apart from you, y/n" Lindir confessed, his voice barely more than a whisper carried on the breeze. “ You have always held a special place in my heart, a place of light and warmth amidst the shadows."
Your eyes widened with surprise, your gaze locking with Lindir's in an unspoken exchange of understanding. And then, with a tender smile, he leaned forward, and hug you in a gentle big warm hug that spoke volumes of the love that had blossomed between you both.
Underneath the canopy of stars, amidst the whispering leaves and the soft glow of moonlight, Lindir and you found solace in each other's arms, their bond strengthened not by words alone, but by the depth of their shared affection. And as they danced beneath the silvered sky, their hearts entwined like the branches of two trees reaching for the heavens, they knew that their love would endure for all eternity, a beacon of hope in a world shrouded in darkness.
Gandalf’s apprentice (Elrond x Reader)
Tumblr media
You sat in lord Elrond’s study, slightly shouted in his favorite chair. You had a large volume in your hand and a few birds chirped as they sat in the window sill. The sun was setting, its bright rays hitting the pages of your- Lord Elrond’s book that you had sort of… borrowed without his knowledge.
You smiled as one of the birds flew closer and landed on your shoulder. You were a little like Radagast, you loved animals. The bird chirped as you flipped a page of the thick volume, its pages were yellowed from age.
You sighed in contentment, this was exactly what you needed.
Suddenly, the door opened and in walked nine other than lord Elrond himself. “I-y/n what are you doing in here?”
You didn’t even look up from the book. “Avoiding Gandalf,” you said in a nonchalant tone.
“You do realize this is my study… right?”
You nodded. “Yup, and Gandalf would never think to look for me in here, my lord Elrond.”
He sighed and shook his head. “You didn’t ask my permission to enter.” He said, crossing his arms and frowning.
You looked up from the book. “I-I’m sorry, I-I’ll leave.”
“That would be wise,” he said as you set the book down and walked out.
“I didn’t mean to anger you, lord Elrond… I am sorry…” you whispered before running off, embarrassed with yourself.
He sighed and shook his head. “That girl…” he mumbled as he sat in his chair. He quickly stood and turned to see a small folded piece of paper on the chair. He picked it up and unfolded it.
It was a letter, written in your hand. He hesitated, it wasn’t addressed to him, but then again, you had intruded and it was now in his possession… He sighed and scanned the contents.
My dear friend,
As for what you said in your last letter, no I cannot, if I told him the truth of it all, he would likely refuse to speak to me again. We are hardly even friends. I still refer to him as ‘lord’ it would be absurd to tell him such a thing at a time as this. They say love is an uninvited guest and they are right, if love wasn’t something I felt towards lord Elrond speaking to him would be much easier, but alas I cannot fight love it is far too powerful a force, I don’t believe that even the eldar could fight love. It’s too strong a force, perhaps the strongest force of all.
Elrond dropped the letter and sat in his chair, eyes wide with wonder and amazement. “She loves me?” He asked, placing his elbows on the seat and his head in his hands. “I-it must be a joke, how can a woman like her, a woman of power and strength, love an elven lord like me?”
-.-.-
“Where is y/n?” Elrond asked Lindir.
He looked up at Elrond. “I have not seen her since this morning, my lord…”
Elrond sighed.
“Though I would recommend you try the library, she spends much of her time in there.” Lindir said, noticing the disappointed look on Elrond’s face.
“I will go check…” he said, walking off towards the massive library.
To his surprise you were indeed in the library. He smiled as the sight before him. You had a giant stack of books in your arms, books that you were putting back on the correct shelves.
He had mentioned to put those books in their homes earlier that day, but had gotten distracted by Gandalf.
You placed a book in a high shelf and the others fell from your arms. You sighed and knelt down to pick up the books. You looked up when someone began to gather the books along with you. “I- lord Elrond! I-I…”
He smiled at your red cheeks as you stuttered. He gently placed his hands over yours. “It’s alright, Melith nin…” he said, “mistakes happen…”
You cocked your head, your elvish wasn’t very good yet. “What does that mean?” You asked, you thought it had ment ‘my love’ but now you were certain you were mistaken.
“What does what mean, melith nin?”
“That, what you just said, what does it mean?”
“It matters not.”
You stood and put the books where they belonged. “Lord Elrond, please, what does it mean?”
“You will find out in due time…”
You sighed, shaking your head.
-.-.-
“Gandalf, what does melith nin mean?” You asked late that night as you kept him company while he smoked his pipe.
“It means ‘my love’ in elvish, why do you ask?”
You felt your cheeks grow red. “I-just academic reasons, just trying to learn the language is all and that was one of the phrases I was able to remember hearing one of the elves say.” It wasn’t a total lie.
Gandalf nodded. “I see…”
Once the two of you had parted ways, you headed to lord Elrond’s study, you couldn’t possibly sleep with those words echoing about your mind.
You gently knocked on the door to his study.
“Come in,” his voice sounded through the door.
You slowly stepped in and closed the door behind you. “Lord elrond why did you call me melith nin? do you really love me?”
He stoped dead in his tracks, turning to look at you.
“I-I…” his cheeks were now red. “I do…” he whispered.
You walked closer, searching for any lie in his eyes. When you saw none, your own eyes filled with tears. “…amrâlimê.” You whispered, it was dwarfish, but you knew he would understand.
He smiled at you before slowly pulling you closer and placing his lips on yours.
Your eyes went wide before you closed them and kissed him back.
“Lord Elrond I-”
He cut you off with a kiss on the neck. “Just Elrond, please…”
You smiled and pressed yourself agents him. “Kiss me again…”
He smiled and gladly kissed you a second time, his lips forming perfectly with yours. “I love you…”
He smiled and pulled you over to the window sill, having you sit on it as he did the same. You both threw your legs over to the other side of it so you could see the view. You let your head rest on his shoulder as the two of you looked up at the stars. “Lor- I mean Elrond, thank you…”
“For what, melith nin?”
You kissed his cheek. “Loving me…”
He wrapped his arms around your waist and kissed you gently.
You leaned into him and he pulled his legs back up on the sill and pulled you into his lap as he leaned agents the frame of the window and continued to kiss you.
His legs wrapped lazily around you as he continued to kiss you. “Mhhh, melith nin…”
You hesitated for a moment before sliding your tongue in between his lips.
He gasp-moaned and opened his mouth wider as he wrapped his arms around you even tighter. “Ngggg…”
You had never heard someone moan like that before, you liked it. You went deeper and he whimpered, pulling you even closer. “Ahhh… y-y/n…”
he moaned as you pulled away.
You smiled. “Yes my lord?”
He gave you a soft glare. “Do not call me ‘lord’ after shoving your tongue halfway down my throat you little-”
You shoved your tongue into his mouth again.
He moaned loudly and clawed at your back, begging for more.
You paused and pulled back.
“Why did you stop?”
A mischievous grin slowly adorned your face.
“Y-y/n?”
You moved your lips towards his ear. “Elrond…” you whispered before biting the tip of his ear gently.
He gasped before letting out a muffled whine and clutching your body closer. “Y/n…”
Snow lay thick on the ground by the time Elrond and his warriors returned from the borders of Rivendell.
“Lindir!” He called out to his steward after he dismounted and gave over the reins of his horse to another elf. “Where has y/n gone off to this morning?”
Lindir, after having seen his lord and his men some distance away, left for the courtyard to wait for them. He bowed and offered Elrond a traditional welcome and said, “Lady y/n left for the woods just beyond the guest lodgings not long ago. You may find her by the pond, I think.”
“My thanks.” Elrond turned over his sword and gloves to Lindir and walked down the same paths you did. It was cold, but not unpleasantly so. His boots left little to no imprint on the snow, and the brazing winter air itself was invigorating. It carried with it the faint redolence of spruce and fir and pine. He sighed in contentment and turned to take a glimpse of his home. All of Rivendell looked different, like an enchanted keep in a wintery land.
“Melleth?” He cried and looked around. Of snow-covered trees and bushes, there were aplenty, but you were nowhere to be seen. “Where are you?”
Nothing but the wind answered him. “Melleth?” He shouted again. “What mischief are you up to now?”
A white ball flying in a perfect arc and exploding in a spray of snow and ice after hitting him on the back was all the answer he needed. Elrond smiled, and dusted the snow off of his cloak. Then another ball flew in from the same direction and hit him on the head with a soft thud. He turned to face the direction it came from, and crouched just as a third projectile came hurtling toward him.
Orcs are not the only things determined to test my patience. Elrond sighed, then smiled to himself and made his way down another path, resolute to catch you in the act.
There was nothing to be heard after that. No calls for you, no shouts, and no commands for you to show yourself. Elrond made no sound as he moved, and that put you on edge. He could be anywhere, and you would not know of his presence until he was right before you.
A hushed silence fell over the little copse you concealed yourself in. There were no animals moving about in the brush; they were sleeping in their little dens and caves for the whole of the winter. A bird sang, but there was no other sound beyond its sweet singing. Minutes passed, and still there was no sign of Elrond.
Where is he? You thought to yourself. Had Elrond returned to the main house and the Hall of Fire? Had he ridden out with his warriors again? Or was he out there, somewhere, biding his time until you revealed yourself?
Time drifted by as if in a dream. It grew colder and a little darker. And Elrond was nowhere to be seen. Thinking that he had returned to the halls, you left your hiding place behind an old oak tree and departed for home.
“And where do you think you are going?”
“Elrond!” You squealed, startled. Elrond had been right beside your little hiding place the entire time, waiting for you to appear. The smile that flashed across his face was smug and self-satisfied. “How did you know I was here?”
He tapped the side of his nose with his finger and said, “It was your fragrance that gave you away, meleth.”
You sniffed at your wrists and your hair. There was no scent to be found on your skin or your dress. “But I am wearing no perfume,” you said in protest.
“Twas not a perfume I smelled,” he smiled again. “It was the scent of you that gave you away.”
You flushed and looked away. Elrond laughed softly. “There is nothing to be ashamed of. Truly. I quite like the way you smell. Although,” he went on to add, “I do think it is highly unbecoming for the Lady of Imladris to throw balls of snow at unsuspecting elves.”
“Perhaps,” you muttered. Then you turned to face him, your eyes bright with curiosity. “You said you liked the way I smell. What else do you like about me?”
It was Elrond’s turn to flush, and not from embarrassment. “I see,” he commented. “You wish to know more about what I find desirable in you. Let me think. I quite enjoy your ability to find pleasure even in the simplest of things.”
“Such as throwing balls of snow at you?”
“Do not test me on that, melleth.”
“My pardons.”
He grinned, and walked toward you. “I also love seeing you like this: your cheeks all flushed from the cold, your hair all in a beautiful tangle, and this cloak is quite fetching on you. A pity it conceals so much. Or have I simply been away for too long, and anything appears alluring to me now?”
“Elrond!” You gasped in disbelief. Pale blue eyes lit up in amusement.
“I jest, melleth,” he said, coming even closer. “You are ravishing as always. Now, where was I?”
“You were speaking of my cloak,” you told him. Heat slowly bloomed in your cheeks when he reached out and undid the clasps of your cloak. “And how it concealed too much.”
“Indeed.” Skillful fingers unfastened each clasp one by one. The shock of cold air dancing over exposed skin left you tingling. Elrond delighted in this, for he had been away for far too long. He had missed watching such sensations flow through your body, and he found himself yearning to savor all of it again, here and now, even though the two of you were in the woods, and not within the privacy of your shared chambers.
“I relish watching you tremble beneath me,” he began, and drew your cloak away. “How you shiver when I run the flat of my hand over your belly. And your hair… I love how it flows around my fingers when I loosen your braids.”
He reached back and slowly loosened one braid, and another, and another. Your hair soon fell around your shoulders. Elrond was not done. His hand did indeed glide up your waist and onto your belly. It made you feel warm and feverish. You shuddered beneath him when that same hand pushed you back—back until he had you caged between him and the bark of a tree.
“We are out in the open,” you pointed out to him. “Someone could come upon us.”
“They will not,” Elrond assured you. “And we need not tarry needlessly. I have missed you, melleth. Let me have a taste of you, at least.”
He dipped his head and kissed the shell of your ear and the expanse of your throat. His arms slipped around your waist when yours twined around his neck.
“Just a taste?” Your blood was already roaring in your ears. Elrond lifted his gaze. His eyes were clouded with lust. “Or more than that?”
“More than that,” he echoed, “if possible. And like I said, we need not tarry needlessly.”
“I never took you for one who loves quickly,” you remarked. “But I do not mind this being the first instance you do so.”
His eyes gleamed wickedly. “Wonderful. Close your eyes, melleth. I will see to the rest.”
Elrond did indeed tend to it all, and so much more besides. His kisses drowned out your sighs and the soft moans that followed in their wake. He slipped an arm beneath your thighs and lifted you up, growling in your ear when he felt your legs wrap tight around his hips. He nearly crushed you to his armor when he kissed and kissed and kissed, and yet you barely felt the steel press against silk and bone and flesh. All your thoughts were consumed by him, by the strength in his arms and his back, and by the hot and sinful mouth that hammered away at any sense of restraint you had.
“Elrond,” you sighed. Your hand slipped over his chest and down his belly, and beneath the silks underneath his armor. It was a trial, loosening the thin strips of cloth around his breeches, but you managed all the same. When you reached in and took him to hand, he nipped your throat.
“I see you are more than keen on me loving you quickly.” There was a sharp rip. Elrond removed his hand just long enough to move it between your thighs and tear at your small clothes. He touched you briefly, groaning against your neck when he found you already wet.
Elrond’s touch was as electrifying as his kisses. However, he did not continue with his ministrations for long. Another hunger rose to claim him, one that demanded to be satisfied. Elrond pressed his lips against yours, moaning in triumph when you guided his erection into the soft and welcomed grip of your body.
“I love this as well,” he gasped. “How you make me feel when you take me inside of you. Am I going too fast?”
“Given that we are exposed,” you countered and tightened your grip against his waist, his broad shoulders. “I would say you are not going fast enough.”
Elrond did not need to be told anything else. He set a tortuous pace, his armor now nearly cutting into your dress, while you clung to him like a burr. The discomfort of it all soon gave way to a bliss that slowly grew in your belly and spread until you saw nothing but a brilliant golden light flashing behind your eyes. Elrond shook when you sobbed against his shoulder and cried out his name. It was enough to unravel him, and with one last grunt, he spilled his seed inside of you.
Neither of you moved, even when an icy wind swept around the trees. Elrond continued to kiss you, this time with soft, quick kisses around your brow.
“We best return,” he said slowly, and more than a little reluctantly. He was shaking. His body was still caught in the aftermath of his release. “Lest Lindir or someone else comes in search of me. And the next time you wish to start a snowball fight, warn me first. I will be ready for you then.”
Lindir you make such beautiful music. I’m sure if you touch me the right way, I could make beautiful sounds for you too
“Oh!” he gasped, taken aback by your sudden words of appraisal. Lindif watched as one of your hands reached out to run along his jaw teasingly. Gulping, he felt like he was sucking in his breath for your seductive gesture. “I don't know what to say for that, but I am honoured.”
Love’s treasure; Kili x reader
*Author’s note*
Okay so this has been sitting in my inbox for awhile but I finally got the inspiration and time to do this fic after getting the boost from another Kili and Fili request as well as my Celestial story.  So @sweetpeapod thank you for your patience and hope you see this fic and enjoy it as much as I did writing it these past couple days.
Synopsis: Reader is Aragorn’s older cousin (I imagine by 11 years so she’s about 21). Gandalf knew of her skills as a Ranger for both tracking and navigating and sought her out to be apart of the company.
NO WARNINGS REALLY JUST SOME FLUFF and a bit of angst from parental death/abandonment.
I observed the dark blue bead in my hand and pondered just how it had gotten lost.  It was a game I’ve always like to play, anytime I would find a lost object or weapon I’d always come up with a good story on why it got lost and whether or not the owner of said object is out there scouring Middle Earth for it’s safe return.
“What are you up to sister?” I looked up and peeking from behind the Elvish statue was my baby cousin Aragorn, or better known for his safety Estel.  Yes, Aragorn the future king of Men is in fact my cousin on his mother’s side (she is my father’s younger sister).
“I thought you were to be in your studies with Lindir? He’s taken a great deal of time and effort to educate you little one.” I lectured him with a raised brow as he came and sat down beside me on the bench.
“But I already know of the founding of Rivendell and how to speak Elvish.”
“Then tell me who was the mentor of Lord Elrond?” I replied in Elvish.  He looked at me puzzled before he crossed his arms pouting.
“I don’t like you no more.”
“Oh yeah not the first time you’ve said that to me. Or the time after that or the time after that.” I playfully reprimanded him lowering my voice to as deep of a baritone as I could muster while tickling his sides making his squirm and laugh.  “What was that you were looking at earlier?”
“What? You mean this?” I said picking up the bead.  He looked at it with curious eyes and asked me.
“Where did it come from?”
“Why don’t you answer that question. Where do you believe this bead came from cousin?” he stared at the bead, pondering over it.  His tongue slightly peeking out from his lips as he said.
“I believe…..this bead came from some merchants who were on their way to the Blue Mountains when suddenly trolls from the North ambushed them and gobbled them all up, leaving only this bead.”
“Goodness child! You really believe such a cruel fate came to innocent merchants?” he nodded.  “Alright, then I’m going to have to speak with Elladan about changing your bedtime stories.”
“No please (Y/n). He tells the best stories don’t make him stop!” I smirked softly and said as I ruffled his head.
“Very well Estel. Now care to help me braid this into my hair?” he nodded as I sat down onto the floor so that he could properly braid my hair before putting the bead on it.
“Where do you think this bead came from sister?” he asked me.
“Well little one I’ve been putting a lot of thought into it. And I think this bead might hold more meaning than meets the eye. I believe this bead was once part of a Prince’s clothing ensemble. My story is that he fell in love with a woman but wished to give her not gold or jewels for her hand, but something more meaningful to him. So he took this bead from his clothing to present to his love. However, when he went to present his gift to his love, he had overheard of his love being taken by orcs while she was out for a ride on her horse. In his haste, he dropped the bead hoping to rescue his love in time.”
“And did he? Did he ever save his true love?” Estel asked me as he paused in mid-braid.
“I’d like to say they did. And the two of them are living together in the comforts of their newly built home hoping to raise a family together.” We both turned around and there stood Kili.
“Prince Kili!” exclaimed Estel as he raced over to the young dwarf prince.  Kili smiled at my cousin and ruffled his head playfully before greeting him.
“Hello there Estel, being good for your cousin I see?”
“(Y/n) was telling me of a bead she found while out on your travels.”
“So I overheard. Hope it’s alright if I added a small opinion to your story.” He said turning to me.
“I’m always open to new suggestions. I tend to leave mine in a mist of mystery. Drives this little one nuts.”
“She never seems to want to finish the story with her trinkets and earnings.” He whined.
“One day lad you’ll see that sometimes it’s better when things are left to the imagination, instead of always having a one-sided ending.” Kili said to Estel.
“And speaking of story endings, it’s best that you get back to your studies with Lindir. He’s probably already alerted Lord Elrond of your skipping’s. And you know how Lord Elrond is that you keep up with your studies.”
“Aww! But Kili only just arrived.” Estel whined.
“Tell you what lad, you head back and finish your studies. Then once you’re done, meet me and my brother in the training grounds and we’ll teach you how we Dwarves battle off orcs and goblins.”
“Can I sister please?!” Estel begged me clasping his hands together and looking up at me with those bright blue eyes of his.
“If your mother and Lord Elrond say it’s alright.” Estel cheered before racing off and bidding us goodbye.  I playfully shook my head, “I swear that child is more like a rabbit than a boy. Always full of energy and on the move.”
“Ahhh let him enjoy it. He is young, soon he’s going to grow and lose that sense of wonder and joy once he gets out into the real world.”
“You didn’t.” I teased as Kili gawked and softly laughed.
“True, but there are times where I wish I could go back to the days of my childhood. Me and Fili battling out against dragons and orcs and winning without any consequence of the outcome.” I nodded in agreement.  “So what was the bead that you and your cousin were discussing the origins of?” I then showed Kili the strand that Estel had braided for me which held the dark blue bead in my hair.
“I had found it just shortly before we had a run in with those trolls. Saw it hidden just beside a small patch of rocks. Figured it was worth keeping rather than letting it be forgotten amongst Yavanna’s earth.” When I turned to Kili I saw that his eyes were widened and his jaw seemed tense.  “Kili? Kili?”
“Huh? What sorry I-I was…..I have to go.” Suddenly he turned his back and hastily left the garden. My head tilted confused as to why he had left so sudden without another word? I shrugged before sitting back down to admire the bead.
*Kili’s POV*
She had my bead. (Y/n) had my family bead, not only did she have it but she was wearing it. Could-could it mean? No that’s impossible! There’s no way a Ranger of the North could fall for someone like me? But then why would she place my bead into her hair and have it braided?
“…..li? Oi Kili!” I snapped out of my daze to see Fili and Bofur standing before me in what appeared to be a den area of the Elvish realm.  All over the place there were beds and wooden furniture carved to perfection.
“You looked about as lost as a lamb there lad, everything alright?” asked Bofur.
“I—well I’m beginning to question that myself.”
“What is it Kili? You’re not ill are you?”
“No Fili, well not in the normal sense of illness.”
“Ahh-hahaha I think I know.” Bofur said.  “You, Kili, have fallen under the sickness of love. And I think I know just who it is that has caught your affections.” Bofur wiggled his brow towards my brother as I let out a groan.
“It’s not like that!”
“So you don’t have feelings for (Y/n)?” asked Fili.  I did a double take towards my brother and said to him.
“Wait you—you knew?”
“Your my brother Kili. You may have always been a flirt back home but never before have I seen you act around a woman the way you do with (Y/n).” I felt my face heat up as I said to them.
“It’s not just that.” They both looked at me perplexed.  “Remember how I had told you Fili that I had lost one of my beads that mother gave me?” my brother nodded.  “It turns out (Y/n) had found it. Not only that but after just recently talking with her, I had seen that she had braided it into her hair.”
At that confession, they both began to understand the gravity of the situation.
“Surely she must not know what it means to us. I mean you see a bead and the first thought is to braid it into your hair. Surely she can’t know what it means to us, does she?” I asked nervously.
“I wouldn’t be knowing Kili, but if I am honest with yah, I think she might feel the same about you.” Bofur said.
“How would you know Bofur?” I snapped.
“You may not know it laddie, but that lass will look at you when she knows you’re not looking. And I see the same loving look in her eyes that you give to her.”
“You’re jesting Bofur. There’s no way she looks at me like that!”
“I wouldn’t be too sure brother.” Fili said.  I turned to him as he continued, “Remember back with the trolls? When they were going to put you onto the spit, (Y/n) fought to take your place.”
“But wasn’t that because we’re part of the same company? She’s just looking out for us. That’s her nature. Her kind, caring, motherly nature.” I trailed off as I felt my heart skip a beat.
“All I’m saying brother is maybe you should talk to her.”
“And how should I start it off? How about saying something like, ‘Greetings (Y/n), you know the bead you’ve got in your hair in that braid? It’s actually my family bead and by braiding it into your hair you’ve agreed to be my wife. Will you marry me?’ No.” I scoffed the last part.  “I can’t force that onto her.”
“I’m not saying lead on with that. But maybe just talk to her and see if there is any mutual feelings between the two of you. If there is, you’ll finally be happy with her. If not, then at least you’ll have your answer.”
“And if it is a rejection that comes my way? How do you expect me to cope with it? She’ll never look at me the same way again.”
“Even if she does reject your affections Kili, I doubt (Y/n) is the kind of person to make whatever bond she makes feel inferior to how it was before. But like your brother said laddie, you’ll never know unless you talk to her.” Bofur said.
I looked at the two of them, took a deep breath and thanked them for the advice before I left to go find (Y/n) before it grew dark.
*1ST Person POV*
I was at the training grounds with my bow and arrow hoping to get in some last minute training before I would retire for the night.  I notched an arrow onto the bowstring, pulled it back, took a breath before steadying my hand and let the arrow fly.  It hit dead center and I notched another arrow into the bow before releasing that and it hit the center as well as splitting the arrow.
“Ahh, when did you learn to do that?” I turned to see Kili looking between me and the target in amazement.
“When I was a little girl, when I refused to believe that a bow was just something my aunt would tie to my curly locks.” I said notching another arrow into my bow and fired it at the target splitting the other two arrows.  “My uncle agreed. He said learning to fight was essential whether you wore a dress or trousers. He was the wisest man I ever knew.”
“Wish my kin were as supportive at first when I had wish to take the bow and arrow as my main weapon of choice.”
“Thing was he wasn’t just supportive. My uncle he—he was the only father figure I ever had after my own dad walked out on my mother. After she was killed by orcs, my aunt took me in. He took me aside one early morning, taught me everything I know about fighting and said to me, ‘(Y/n), my little raven. If you remember what you’re fighting for you’ll never miss your target’.” I said remember my uncle Arathorn as a good man.
He was not only a good leader to the Rangers up in the North, but he was a loving man who loved his wife.  And loved a child that was not his own blood as a father should.  Raised her, taught her to fight but also keep a level head. I only wish that Aragorn had the same opportunity to bond with his father as I did.
“He sounds like a good man.” Kili told me solemnly.
“Aye. He was.” I said clasping the necklace he gave me a year after being adopted into the family. It’s not much just a simple silver chain with a raven in flight pendant on it but it’s so special to me and never once have I taken it off.
“Is that why you like collecting small objects?” he asked me.  I smiled solemnly and nodded.
“When I was a child and would go with him on patrols, most of the Rangers tired of how I would stop them to find a loose button or a smooth pebble perfect for skipping across the river. But never my uncle, in fact he always encouraged me to keep at it. Said that I’d never know when I might find the greatest treasure of them all.”
We sat there in a comfortable silence for a brief moment (although it felt like an eternity) until Kili finally spoke up.
“I uhh…..” he trailed off softly.  “I think you might’ve missed the target.” I looked at him confused before turning to the target where my split arrows were.  “No not….” He softly chuckled, “I meant with your story. The one you told your cousin about. For the bead.”
“Did I?” he softly nodded but he refused to look me directly in the eye.  “Care to elaborate your theory of this bead?”
“Well it’s not much different from yours. Just some minor details changed. The bead did in fact belong to a prince. But the bead was a part of his family’s heirloom, one that would be meant for a future courting. However, while out on a quest, he had realized that he had lost it. He searched and searched but could not find the bead anywhere. The Prince was heartbroken, not only of the fact he had lost his family bead, but that one day he had hoped to give it to the woman he loves was now gone. Then a few days after the start of his quest, he soon finds the woman he loves wearing his bead into her braided hair.”
He fiddled with his hands before finally looking up at me, his eyes holding both a loving gaze but also a hint of fear and insecurity.  I then watched as his eyes soon turned to look at my braid.  I lifted it up and stared at the bead only for my heart to stop and my stomach sink.
Wait…..could he mean—
“You don’t have to say anything. I won’t force you plus you did not know that braiding a Dwarf’s family bead means you accept a courtship with me. I know we’ve only known each other for a few weeks now but I cannot deny my feelings any longer. (Y/n), I……” I stopped his rambling by bestowing a small kiss to his cheek.
“My heart feels the same way Kili.” His eyes widened with surprise looked at me and from his stubbled face I could see the faintest hint of a blush.
“Really?”
“Really, really.” I said with a warm smile.  A bright smile soon started to show itself on his face as he took my hands into his and bestowed a sweet kiss to the back of my knuckles.
“Mahal’s beard my—my heart is pounding more harder than Aulë slamming his axe upon a mountain of stone.”
“And the very breath within me feels like it has been sucked away.” I said to him.
“Is this what finding my One feels like? If it is, I never want it to go away. Nor do I wish to see you go.”
“I may not know the concept of your One, but if it’s anything to what we call soulmates then yes. I saw it every day with my aunt and uncle before his death. They held the purest form of true love I had only ever read in story books. But never did I hope to experience such a love.”
“Best get used to it amrâlimê, because I will spend every hour of my wakened days giving all my love to you.” I knelt down beside him and cupped the side of his face, brushing away the dark strands of his hair as I felt his hand gently cup my jawline as our forehead softly touched one another’s.
Our noses slowly grazing across the other’s like wind in the grass until finally our lips became one and we gifted our devoted love for each other through each kiss and stolen baited breath.
I am Glad you like my Lindir of course you may even if this is 3 months late I am terribly sorry I was busy
A Cranky Minstrel
Summery: Ask
Pairing: Lindir x Reader
Tumblr media
you inwardly groaned as you watched the young dwarf threw food next to Lindir hitting the statue he was stood Infront he gave it a quizzical look before looking to you, which made you simply shrug to him, you had experienced him cranky one time before in your relationship and that was when Mirkwood came to visit, you just knew these dwarfs were making him more and more cranky by the second.
you noticed a dwarf about to lob a tomato at you husband and caught his hand the dwarf looked at you and so did Elrond as he did not realize you were here.
"Let go of me you wretches elf" the dwarf half yelled
"Watch where you throw stuff" you said glaring him down Elrond cleared his throat you let go of the dwarf and walked to him
"I am sorry to interrupt your meal my lord but I do believe my Report has some urgency, those orcs you slew near the hidden pass weren't the only ones to get close or into our borders" you said in a hushed voice giving the lord your report before you were hit by the same dwarf you held back with a Tomato with the same tomato you stopped him from throwing
"Lord/Lady Y/n do not retaliate it will only make them more boisterous" Elrond said as he read your report over
"I am glad your patrol slew them, talk to Erestor about erecting a guard tower in that blind spot and help him find the others Orcs may get across without our detection before they are on our patrols" You nodded taking the letter and leaving you did not see Lindir again until he came back late to your shared chamber either he was cleaning after the dwarves or they had done something else you only lifted your book as he set himself with his head on your chest.
"First they question the food, then they make their own music, then they start a food fight and hit you right after you got back from a long patrol" Lindir groaned
"I am fine, a Tomato does not hurt and I am all clean now" you said you had taken a bath and changed into fresh clothes as soon as you got back into your rooms
"Then the pantry starts running low on wine with them and then they have the AUDANCITY to bathe their hairy naked asses in the sacred fountain, What gave them the right, sure I get they hate elves But we are not wood elves, we didn't bring an army to a smaug ruined Erebor just to tell you no that was Thranduil acting without our knowledge and they blame all elves for it, petty little ferrets" Lindir groaned with the amount of times he had listened to you groan about your patrol it was only right to listen to him you had half the mind to storm over to the dwarves and give them a piece of your mind but you decided against it.
"How rude of them" you said placing a hand on his back and closing the book you where reading and setting it down
"I know, they can't just disrespected our lord like that" Lindir said he was tense
"Why don't I give you a massage and you can rant about the dwarves while I get all of those nasty knots out of you" You said Lindir only hummed and you straddled his lower body as you worked on the knots in his back.
"They don't work with you they are so stubborn, they just give me a headache even more so then the mirkwood elves and thats saying something" Lindir huffed
"I arguable find the arrogant elven king more stubborn and annoy" you said
"You are odd" Lindir said rolling around to face you
"I have to babysit the dwarven children" Lindir said leaving he soon came back
"They left, i swear if you take an eye of them for a second they disappear, Elrond was not happy" Lindir said
"Come here you cranky gremlin you just need a hug and time to calm down" you said taking Lindir into your arms and running a hand through his hair
