I'm going to gush about Pocket mirror and u cant stop me lmao also SPOILERS, you have been warned.

I just took a look in the gallery section of the game and Lissette's moment with Goldia made me so fucking happy. without going into detail cuz if I did we would be here all day, Pocket mirror is about a girl with DID formerly known as multiple personality disorder, And her trying to find herself in her own mind after waking up in a rose bed with no memories, just herself and a golden pocket mirror.

its throughout the game that you meet Goldia's Alters: Fleta ( the little), Harpae ( the protector ) Lissette (the trauma holder/ persecutor) and Enjel ( I cant tell what she is really since I'm only now starting to learn more about DID, so her temporary title will be trauma holder since i have no other title for her and that one is close enough for now. If you know more about DID or if there is a system that knows how to tittle her purpose please let me know! also let me know if im saying anything problematic! obviously Systems will be prioritized bc duh.

Goldia is the current host, I have an inkling she might fuse with ether Enjel or Harpae in the future but that's not the point.

Basically Lissette is the scape goat for all the other Alters ( Goldia included), Lissette is blamed for every wrong doing, mainly because she is the most aggressive and self destructive of the bunch. being a Trauma holder and all. So everyone else uses her as a get out of jail free card whenever they do something bad ( mainly Fleta). and during the events of the game Lissette is trying to kill Goldia because she just cant take this abuse anymore. if you get her good ending, Goldia will apologize to Lissette and tell her

"I will atone for my sins, all of them"

and in the gallery segment where you get to have a final conversation with all the Alters, Lissette tells Goldia : "I still resent you, But... you're keeping your word... on wanting to.... know me.." . To which Goldia apologizes again and thanks her, and while its not explicitly said you can infure she means : " thank you for the second chance". I wont go into detail bc personal thingssss, but i can understand how Lissette feels here. throughout this conversation the resentment she feels is weighing down on her and she 's allowed to feel this, not once does the game tell her that she should just let go. It's not as easy as that. And Goldia fully understands and just elects to be as good of a friend as she can be. I LOVE THE FACT THAT SHE IS ALLOWED TO BE ANGRY GOOD LORD

I'm so sick of people talking about Anger and negativity like it's some sort of disease. Anger is just as valid of an emotion as fear or joy, and the fact that she's allowed to feel this without being vilified is great and kind of sad since not allot of other characters get the same level of maturity in their writing.

you can just feel how empty she feels after being denied catharsis for so long, and now that she has it, she can finally just take a breath and be in peace. Lissette isn't the best character known to mankind but she doesn't need to be, She means allot to me personally and I can only assume she means allot to persecutors who feel unheard. I don't know that for sure and please correct me if I'm wrong, I don't have DID thus I cant speak with absolute certainty

I'm disappointed that hardly anyone is talking about the shit going down with Dynamite Comics. They've been caught and/or accused tracing and using heavily edited generative AI art in their Darkwing Duck comic covers and possibly the comic itself. Most of the traced art sources have been from fanart from all over the internet and art done by James Silvani and Lissette Carrera

And what’s worst is that, at the time Dynamite Comics were looking for artists for both the cover art and actual comic art, they had several artists including some very well known duck artists offering their services. But from what I’ve been reading the artists that were chosen, we’re supposed “high-tier” artists from DC comics.

Pocket mirror : dawn ending

to be honest i much prefer the Dawn ending, Goldia finds the same pair of shoes as Elise in the Little goody two shoes ending. Therefore she's next in line to make her wish. The dawn ending is one where Goldia can pick up the pieces of her life. She's probably still in passive danger from the strange boy, should she lose the pocket mirror he would probably show up to kill her.

But if she keeps it on her, she will live a good life moving forward. Although I wonder what will happen when she dies, like since she's dead would the strange boy visit her and turn her into a golden girl? or would the pocket mirror continue to protect her even in death ? to be honest the main reason i like this ending is because it breaks the cycle. Goldia ended the generational curse that began with her grandmother.

Also off topic but wouldn't Goldia have some supernatural powers? since she's the granddaughter of a witch ?

Ross is hard at work when she gets a knock on her desk. She looks up, and sees Hendricks staring at her. "Sir?" 

  "The DA wants to take the treasure hunters to court." 

  Intrigued, Ross folds her hands in front of her. "And what do you want, sir?" 

  Hendricks leans against her desk. "Jess Valenzuela has gone through undetected by any of our systems. As far as physical evidence goes, she hasn't committed a crime." 

  "So ask her friends," Ross replies. "I'm sure they know something." 

  "See, that's the thing." Hendricks taps his fingers on the desk in thought. "Tasha Rivers, Oren Bradley, and Ethan Chow, on all systems, are also clean. But there's something interesting." 

  "And what's that, sir?" 

  Hendricks pauses, before speaking again. "There's a 30-hour period during their hunt in which no one knows what happened. No system or agency has been able to know what occurred, and we have evidence Rivers, Bradley, and Chow were in Baton Rouge, with no reason to suspect they were doing anything treasure hunt related. Then, thirty hours later, we have two police cars flipped on the highway, alerts for the FBI, Homeland, and local PD, and the discovery of a treasure worth tens of billions of dollars. I want to know what happened, and there's only one person who can possibly testify against Jess." 

  Ross nods. "Liam Sadusky?" 

  Hendricks points to Ross's computer. "I need information on him, right now. If he's able to give us what we need, this case goes to court. If he has an alibi, we're left with a mystery that only a group of young adults know the answer to, and a hell of an explanation to the ADIC." 

  "Got it, sir. Pulling up Liam's information right now. Aged 23, works at Squeaky Pete's, and-" The screen flashes his profile, and Ross groans. "You've got to be kidding me." 

  "What is it?" Hendricks asks, standing up straighter to head to see what's on the screen. "What happened?" 

  Ross sighs, cursing these kids to be so smart, yet so unnerving. "Liam Sadusky married Jess Valenzuela two days ago." 

  "So now he legally doesn't have to testify against her." Hendricks sighs, dropping a hand onto Ross's desk. "Damn them. You think they planned this?" 

  "Probably. But it's a smart move," Ross says. 

  Hendricks picks up a file off her desk, then makes a move to leave. "Keep an eye on the records. Let me know the second they file for divorce." 

  "Will do, sir." Ross stares back at the screen, at the marital status on Liam's file, and the name Jess Valenzuela next to it. "Damn," she whispers, laughing at this development.
