Good sportsmanship: Oklahoma Little League player consoles pitcher that hit him in head during LLWS qualifier in Texas

During Tuesday's Little League Southwest Region championship, there was a scary moment between teams hailing from Pearland, Texas and Tulsa, Okla. In the first inning, Texas East pitcher Kaiden Shelton had a pitch get away from him and strike Tulsa's Isaiah Jarvis in the head. 

Luckily for Jarvis, the ball struck him in the helmet, so he was able to remain in the game.

After making his way to first base, Jarvis went over to Shelton on the mound in an effort to console the pitcher, who was visibly shaken by the incident. Jarvis gave Shelton a hug and could be heard saying "Hey, you're doing just great."

Liam had little league tryouts last week and we should be getting an email soon letting us know what team he’s on and what his practice/game schedule is.

I’ve never had a kid in team sports before so this will be a first. I’m hoping Liam will get to be on the same team as my bestie Jamie’s son so I’ll have someone to talk to during practices otherwise I’ll just be a recluse 😬

Q And did some of the sons play in little league ball?

A I just had one.

Q And did you become familiar with the game and the way it is played and the equipment, and what is necessary and so on?

A Yes, sir.

Q And when was that that you became familiar with it?

A That was about 1960.

Q Okay. And based on your acquaintanceship with the game and your treatment of the patients that you have mentioned and your training and so on Doctor, would you have an opinion as to whether or not it would be dangerous or more dangerous for girls to play little league baseball then it would be for boys to play little league baseball, assuming there ages to be between ten and twelve?

A I think that I would say it would make no difference what sex they are. It makes a difference in how strong they are, what kind of child they are.

Q Can you say, as a generality, that one sex would be stronger or weaker then another sex at this age?

A I think there would be very little difference.

I want the next Green Lantern (Legacy) book to have Jai show up to call dibs on Tai, and then Irey show up to object and insist she called dibs first. Tai floats away with his hands up in the air and says he really doesn't care as long as one of them helps put out the fire. Tommy and Serena are doing calculations to explain excitedly to the twins why a team of five is better than a team of four.

They end up crashed in Tai's room with Jai and Irey trying to explain why every Flash needs their own assigned Green Lantern (Tommy and Serena are fascinated but also pitching the sharing route) and Tai is trying to sleep.
