Lucien was in a better mental state than he had been. Having hit full rock bottom meant he really only had one way to go and he was not the type to stay idle. He currently was in the greenhouse actually needing a few plants for something he was working on. He wasn't asking for permission in what he was taking. Why would he as a councilman. His funding was what supported the castle, therefore, what was in the greenhouse was his by proxy, or so he surmised.

Of course he'd been there for awhile as there'd been a few people lingering. Eventually he was alone, or had assumed he was alone and started to take what he needed. Lucien, being Lucien, didn't take just what he needed, but uprooted an entire plant when he needed just a flower or a leaf. It was asinine to have to come back for another sample and he wasn't going to pick things like a common animal.

What he hadn't anticipated was that such an action would set off security protocols in the area and the greenhouse would become, essentially, a prison in a matter of seconds. Lucien became aware of this when he saw the gates coming down on the greenhouse windows. Ones made of his least favorite of elements as of recent; iron. For the moment he ignored it still gathering what he needed. It wasn't the priority and by the time it was it would obviously resolve itself or so he had thought until he rounded the corner to get a rare item that he was pretty sure could only be found in this greenhouse and it wasn't what he'd run into, though Avery too was a rare item only found in this castle.

To say Lucien was happy to see the man was a lie as his eyes narrowed at the younger. "What are you doing here?" As if Avery was the one in the wrong, while Lucien had a hand full of plants in one hand looking slighted at the tribrid not at all forgetting their last exchange.

“Zeus... my friend. I hope you don’t mind the visit.” Mr. R. casually stood as several pistol shots flew through and past the hologram. This was followed up by a massive electrical discharge from the casino manager’s cane. “You and I both know that’s not going to do anything.”

“No, but I’m going to vent my immense frustrations for a short while on your alleged dime. Now if you would kindly explain who the fuck you are and what you think you’re doing calling yourself Mr. R. I would greatly appreciate it. It will give me a lot less of a headache having to hunt you down.” The card faces on Zeus’s mask whirled and shifted in a mad shuffling motion. He tightened the grip of his cane where he thought he would break the decorative topper. “You. Shouldn’t. Exist.”

“I’m actually kind of surprised someone as smart as you didn’t think of this massive hole in yours scheme. Sure it sounds fool proof. A secretive head of a secretive organization who doesn’t meet with anyone. A background nebulous front to keep everyone off the trail of the collection of thieves and criminals.” Mr. R turns and sneers at Zeus. “The Pandemonium Syndicate hidden in plain sight. Everyone is trying to find out who Mr. R is that they just brush off your hidden identity gimmick as just that.

“All it took was for Mr. R to well... exist. Someone just had to step into the role you worked so hard to convince everyone was real that there were no questions when I did. Sorry, but you painted yourself into a corner.”

“Until we simply deny that you’re the real one. If one can exist so can another. And I’ve taken out people who’ve claimed our identities before. What makes you different? All you’ve given me is a reason to shut you up.”

“Are we playing that game? Fine.” A screen appears in front of Zeus containing a list of names and information. “Try and find them- Who you are, where you live, the names of your colleagues and family, and all your little conspirators- the ones you even hide from each other. Surprised at a few of them? Come on now, Zeus, play along if you don’t want things to get out of hand. What do you think will happen if these names and everything else you’ve been dealing in say... get leaked to the Bureau?”

The grinding of teeth could be heard behind Zeus’s mask. The noise mechanically echoed like his distorted voice. “What do you want?”

“I knew you’d see it my way. What I want? I just need you to keep doing what you’ve been doing. I have a few investments and donations I’d like to start making. We really should be putting the Diamond District on the map a bit more, don’t you think? The Council didn’t want me so maybe I’ll just carve out my own authority. Now if you’ll excuse me, I have to talk to the rest of them- and you have a wall to fix.”
