rereading kabru scenes and
NEVER?????
I knew he's a bit spoiled, but NEVER? NEVER!
Like this & the Kabrus Room extra do make perfect sense to me with his backstory.
He's probably like, 6-8 ish when his mother dies and Milsiril takes him in. So I doubt he was doing chores, regardless of his mother being disowned. And obviously, noble lady Milsiril didn't make her beloved baby lift a single finger the entire remaining 15 or so years he lived with her.
Then when he moves out, he's not living in the sort of place that even has a kitchen, and his charisma is high enough other people (such as his landlord, lmao) will pick up after him.
Still, NEVER! never cooked a meal in his LIFE! And my favourite FAVOURITE part about this trait of his is that once they've got Melini operational (not right away but it doesn't seem to take ages), do you think the King's Advisor/Prime Minister/whatever his official job is cooks and cleans for himself? No sir. Literally getting through his whole life chores-free, who is doing it like him. Nobody.

now imagine if you were in a similar situation as nobara, and nanami came to the rescue and it’s the first time that you see him so…enraged. you can barely recognize him, you dont know if it’s hard to breathe because the curse user kept hitting you repeatedly in the stomach or if it’s because nanami looks insanely intimidating.
“nanami—“
“my apologies for taking too long,” he would say before staring at your bloodied and bruised figure and you notice how his eyes switch back to the curse user and they darken. “I got it from here.”
the strength that he uses, the tone in which he speaks to the man who hurt you—you sit back on the floor and watch in awe as nanami barely moves when the man tries to attack him. he ruins his life, sends him flying through multiple buildings before turning back towards you and kneeling in front of you.
“I called ijichi to come pick you up. allow me to carry you there.”
*heaves out a very long sigh* he’s too good.

Lisa Frankenstein is a perfect movie because they do an 80s makeover montage with a rotten shambling reanimated corpse like literally what else could you ask for

caretakers who are soooo patient with whumpee. maybe whumpee has to relearn the concept of autonomy and how to do basic tasks, maybe whumpee is absolutely feral and has to be tied down to avoid mauling caretaker---it's all spilt plates and growling and fighting, but caretaker never loses their temper. maybe whumpee has to come to terms with the idea that they're a person who deserves things such as basic human rights, maybe whumpee has to relearn how to walk after a violent injury, maybe whumpee can't walk anymore and has to deal with that.
maybe all their teammates or other family/friends have abandoned whumpee, as it seems like too much work. but caretaker is there every step of the way.

Oooo yes, Lute, just bothering Vaggie and Vaggie is just like, 'dude no, stop, please, at this point, you're embarrassing yourself.' But Lutes to stubborn to quit so-
Charlie being protective is one of my favorite things ever
Right? I need more of this happening. And by that I mean Charlie visibly showing disdain for Lute and being protective over her girl
