So let's keep it on the low, nobody else will know,
And you could wreck them in the swerve game, fast-slow.
And even though we creeping, I've begun to see,
That I'm the one for you and shorty, you’s the one for me.

I’m tryin to put my lifestyle in order;
The games mad deep,
I keep my feet above the water.
Caught a bid, got a wife and kid;
The name just burned in the flame,
So out the game I slid.

Lecture 20: Rapper Lil’ Kim (Kimberly Denise Jones) performs her successful Top 20 hit “The Jump Off,” from 2003. The song turned up on La Bella Mafia, her third studio album. Sampling “Jeeps, Lex Coups, Bimaz & Benz” (1995) by rap group Lost Boyz, “The Jump Off” showcases Lil’ Kim’s energetic style, wit, razor-sharp “gangsta” edge, and fast-paced delivery. Lil’ Kim was particularly active in the second half of the 1990s and early 2000s. In the fall of 2019, she released her fifth studio album – and her first album in fourteen years – titled, simply, 9. Lil’ Kim is also known for her tireless philanthropy, including her impassioned support for LGBTQ+-related causes.
