today i'm thinking about how steve and danny are that ridiculous couple who argues over who gets to risk their life, 'better me than him', like in 3x15
steve: i'm gonna draw the fire to draw out the sniper, kono will take the shot.
danny: please don't do that, please lis-- and he's gone, of course, don't listen to me, don't listen to reason, be you. it's very you of you.
also danny: *proceeds to draw fire himself before steve even realised what happened*
steve: *offended noises* WTF was that, scarface????
danny: a taste of your own medicine? :P you plan was flawed.
steve: *to the tune of you liiiiike me* wait, you were worried about me? 😏
danny: that is not the lesson here!
steve: *can't hear anything over Danny-Cares-About-Me*

if u did a tier maker of buffyverse ships i would enjoy it 🙏
This is tricky because ships are one of those things that people can get really passionate about, and I don't want to upset anyone. I try to steer clear of any drama when I can, but I also want to feel free to express my opinions, you know? Because god knows I have them.
I guess I'll say before I wade into any discourse that, disclaimer: my enjoyment of a ship doesn't mean I condone what goes on in it, and I can separate fiction from reality. I try not to moralize when it comes to fictional ships and approach them both objectively in terms of quality and also subjectively to my personal tastes. But I also believe that, at the end of the day, it's just fandom and people should do whatever floats their boat.
So with all that being said, here's my (highly personal!) rankings of the ships in Buffyverse:
C Tier:
Tumblr media
ATS 1x09 - This is the ship with the bomb that Doyle sacrifices himself to disarm. Now it's a good episode, but this is really the only wide shot we get of the boat. I literally forgot that the climax takes place on the water. The interior is fun with lots of stairs and various apparatuses for fight scenes, but it could just as easily have been a basement or abandoned factory. Honestly, I wasn't too impressed by the ship factor. Rating: 4/10
B Tier:
Tumblr media
BTVS 2x13 - You might be thinking, "You're ranking a BACKGROUND ship higher than an actual location?" but hear me out: because the ship is in the background, I actually remembered that this scene had a ship. There's a great fight scene in front of it where Buffy uses the chain along the docks to choke out a bad guy, and then she gets thrown into the water. The ship hangs out in the background the whole time and brings together the whole nautical-themed fight. Rating: Angel diving into the water/10
A Tier:
Tumblr media
BTVS 3x15 - Now we're cooking with gas. We get a FULL shot of the whole ship on the dock. The establishing shots linger on the boat more because Buffy and Faith have a confrontation here. Not only do they have a conversation with someone visibly ON a boat, Faith starts out on the upper deck of the boat then swings herself OFF the ramp to argue with Buffy on the docks. Bonuses for a visually dynamic conversation and the boat representing Faith's plans to fuck off, interrupted by HER choice to get off and get in Buffy's face about it instead. Rating: Saving the girl that's supposed to be your enemy/10
S Tier:
Tumblr media
ATS 3x22 - I know, we're getting into controversial territory here. But look how beautiful this ship is. Is it a boat? A schooner? A yacht? I don't know, but I DO care. Extra points for it being a plot-necessary boat, of course, since they had to get Angel out into the middle of the sea somehow. What's great about this ship is that it's really condensed all the ship elements into a smaller vessel, so you're aware throughout the tense emotional scenes that you're actually ON a boat in the middle of the sea. It really emphasizes Angel and Connor's isolation at this point in the finale, both physically and emotionally. And, I mean, look at this: we actually have a shot that has most of a boat AND most of a person in it. AND it's the climax of a season finale? THIS is the ultimate Buffyverse ship. Final rating: The misunderstanding-to-patricide pipeline/10

Can we talk about a garashir scene in Our Man Bashir I do not see talked about a lot?
Remember in episode 3x15 when the Cardassian researchers come to the station and one falls for O’brien because he’s pissy and irritable with her? She thinks he’s expressing romantic interest because that’s how Cardassians flirt and express their desire to pursue physical relationships.
WELL,
with that refresher on Cardassian romantic overtures, let’s rewatch this scene (captions included!)
Garak is already ridiculously attracted to Julian, but we’ve only ever seen them flirt the “human” way over books and lunch dates, and light teasing. But here is the first time (to my knowledge) Garak encounters Julian “flirting” with him in the Cardassian way. He’s so shocked, and, more importantly, turned on that he’s speechless for a moment— a true feat for Garak.
Technically Julian probably isn’t flirting here. He is seriously concerned about his friends and Garak is getting in the way, but I don’t think it matters to Garak. Regardless of Julian’s intentions, Garak has interpreted this encounter according to his own cultural customs and he is down to fuck bad.
I would personally argue that Julian knows what is happening here and is reciprocating even in his serious annoyance because of his “what makes you think I wasn’t trying” response. Given what we know about Julian, not only his kind disposition, but also the fact that he’s augmented and has perfect aim, this statement isn’t true. He certainly was not trying to kill Garak. If he were, Garak would be dead or seriously injured. And there’s no way Julian is unfamiliar with Cardassian mating customs to not know how Garak interprets the action. I’m sure Miles told him all about his experience with the Cardassian woman in one of their gossiping sessions.
This episode marks another turning point in the Garashir arc. Julian has already seen the worst in Garak (The Wire) and he is no longer the doe eyed, flustered doctor obsessed with the (was once alleged but is now confirmed though retired except on some occasions) Cardassian spy. After this episode we see far more instances of Julian being “irritated” and combative with Garak who, of course, revels in the attention his dear doctor gives him… and you know what? I think Julian likes it too.
Anyway, I said all that for absolutely nothing other than the fact that it’s been in my head for months and I had to get it out.

Buck & Eddie: Young Buck and Christopher -Parallels
Chris looks like Buck; they have the same hair color and type (blonde/brown and curly) and they both have blue eyes.  If someone didn’t know them and they saw Buck, Eddie and Chris together, it would be easy for them to assume that Buck is Chris’ biological father.  It’s clearly not a coincidence that Chris looks like Buck and Buck looks like Bobby because Bobby is Buck’s found dad and Buck is Chris’ second dad/legal guardian.
In addition to them looking alike, Buck’s and Chris’ lives parallel in a lot of other ways too.  Several of Chris’ experiences have been direct parallels with Young Buck’s experiences and their clothing was either identical or similar with minute differences like the color of their shirts or the length of their shirts’ sleeves. Whenever Chris’ experiences were direct parallels to Young Buck’s; Buck was present with Eddie or by himself in the role of Chris’ second dad.
It’s interesting there were multiple Young Buck scenes included in 4x5 but there haven’t been any Young Eddie scenes included in any episodes over the past four and a half years even though there were opportunities for them to be included in 3x15 “Eddie Begins” and in 5x17 “Hero Complex”.  If there wasn’t enough time in 3x15, there was plenty of time in 5x17 when Eddie went to El Paso, TX because there were opportunities for at least two flashback scenes of Young Eddie to have been included in that episode but there weren’t any.  One flashback could have been included when Eddie explained the way Ramon told him to be the “man of the house” at the age of 10.  Or they could have included a flashback of Young Eddie trying to drive Ramon’s truck after Helena went into labor but no scenes were included regarding that instance either.
Karen told Hen in 5x17, “Once is a mistake, twice is a coincidence and three times is a pattern” and Athena told Eddie in 6x7 “Cursed”, “You know what I believe in even less than a curse? Coincidence”. Therefore it’s probably not a coincidence that Chris looks like Buck and a lot of their childhood experiences including the clothing they wore are parallels.  It’s not a coincidence that Buck was present for Chris’ experiences that paralleled with his and it’s also not a coincidence that there haven’t been any childhood scenes of Eddie included in episodes that were about him.  It appears these parallels are patterns because they keep happening.  Will there be more parallels of Buck and Chris in 6B? Only the showrunner(s), writers and producers know the answer to that question.
Parallels – Clothing and Experiences
GIFs 1 & 2: Young Buck’s and Chris’ shirts were both long sleeved and striped when Buck was learning to ride a bike for the first time but he fell off and got injured while Chris was with Buck on the pier before the Tsunami hit.  Buck’s shirt in 4x5 “Buck Begins” was blue with yellow, navy and light blue stripes while Chris’ shirt in 3x2 “Sink or Swim” was yellow with blue, brown and white stripes.
GIFs 3 & 4: Young Buck’s and Chris’ t-shirts were identical in style but they were different colors.  Buck’s t-shirt in 4x5 was navy blue with a red collar and red sleeves while Chris’ t-shirt in 2x2 “7.1” was blue/gray with a green collar and green sleeves. Buck wasn’t present when Eddie took Chris to school before the earthquake but Buck drove Eddie to pick Chris up from school at the end of 2x3 “Help is Not Coming” and Chris was still wearing the same shirt.
GIFs 5 & 6: Young Buck and Chris both wanted to learn how to skateboard, they both got injured during the process and their shirts were similar.  Buck’s shirt in 4x5 was gray with navy blue and white stripes and it was short sleeved while Chris’ shirt in 3x12 “Fools” was red with black and white stripes with long sleeves.  Both Eddie and Buck were at the park after they built Chris an adaptable skateboard so that he could ride it.
GIFs 7 & 8: In 4x5, Young Buck’s hair was long blonde and curly and he wore a gray t-shirt underneath his blue jacket while in 5x11 “Outside Looking In” Chris’ hair was also long brown/blonde and curly and his t-shirt was gray too.  Buck was sitting across the table from Eddie and Chris while they were eating dinner.
GIFs 9 & 10: Young Buck’s hair was long, blonde and curly in 4x5 and Chris’ hair in 5x13 “Fear-O-Phobia” was still long, blonde/brown and curly.  Chris called Buck while Eddie was having a mental breakdown and Buck rushed over to Eddie’s house.  After he arrived, he checked on Chris first then he broke down Eddie’s bedroom door and entered to help him.
GIFs 11 & 12: Young Buck wore a blue t-shirt in 4x5 while he ate cereal and Chris wore a navy blue-t-shirt while he ate cereal for breakfast in 4x14 “Survivors” as he sat across the table from his second dad, Buck.  Buck was taking care of Chris while Eddie was in the hospital.
GIFs 13 & 14: Young Buck was upset after Maddie told him she was leaving in 4x5, his t-shirt was gray and he got on his bike and left because he was upset. Chris’ t-shirt was light blue in 4x8 “Breaking Point” and he became upset after Eddie told him that he was dating again.  Chris did the same thing Buck did in 4x5, he left and went to Buck’s loft because he thought someone was going to leave him again. Both Buck and Chris left when they were upset.
GIF 15: Buck and Chris wore the same color shirts (Buck wore a white t-shirt and a blue button-down with grey stripes in it and Chris wore a gray t-shirt with white stripes and blue sleeves) in 6x1 “Let the Games Begin” while Eddie wore a tan shirt which is one of his signature colors that he wears when he’s with his family.

Kira Yukimura in Galvanize (3x15)
You must have some friends by now. I don't know what's wrong with me. I had a lot of friends back home. But here it's like every time I open my mouth, I just start rambling like an idiot. Try again. Fail again. Fail better. Are you quoting Samuel Beckett to me? I thought that was Yoda.

What are some good workouts for wanting no waist?
Well basically a hourglass workout , because i don’t know where to start
Here is my workout routine!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Side note: I have PCOS (Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome) so my workouts are low intensity with a big focus on lifting weights as it is more beneficial to my health + weight loss journey. I’ve done HIIT and CrossFit in the past, both are fun and a great way to incorporate cardio into your workouts.
{Gym}
Day 1: Lower Body
I typically go until failure aka as many reps as I can do on my leg days. But doing 3 sets of 15 reps is a good starting point or doing as many reps as you can within 60 seconds. Play around with the weights on each machine and do as many sets and reps your body is most comfortable with doing.
10-15 minute warm up on the StairMaster
Leg Press Machine 3x15
Seated Leg Curl Machine 3x15
Hip Abductor Machine 3x15
Glute Kick Back Machine 3x15
Leg Extension Machine 3x15
Weighted Hip Thrusts 3x15
Weighted Lunges 3x15
Weighted Squats 3x15
Don’t forget to do glute activations with a resistance band my favs include: fire hydrants, donkey kicks, leg kickbacks, glute bridge and hip abductors.
Day 2: Upper Body
15-20 minute warm up on the Treadmill. (Low speed + at an incline)
Seated Row Machine 3x15
Torso Rotation Machine 3x15
Chest Press Machine 3x15
Shoulder Press Machine 3x15
Wide Grip Lat Pulldowns 3x15 (pull downs are really great for that snatched waist look! there are so many variations to try but these workouts are gonna be your bestie trust!)
Any of the Crunch Machines 3x15
How you build your workout routine is completely up to you and your research. I personally try to go to the gym 3-4 days a week with 3 days focused on glutes!
Day 1 would be a leg day, Day 2 would be an upper body day, Day 3 would be another leg day and Day 4 would be a mix of upper and lower body.
Some people prefer having different days dedicated to target specific areas in an in depth way like one day for legs, one day for abs, one day for arms and one day for back!
{At Home}
I like to follow fitness YouTubers who have free workouts plans to follow while you’re at home. JaneKate Fitness is my fav and she posts workout routines to follow each month!
Here are some at home equipment I’ve invested in for my at home workouts:
Yoga Mat
Resistance Bands
Ankle Weights
Dumbbells
Kettle Bell
These are just a few examples of exercises you can use as a starting point. Fitness is such a broad topic so there’s a lot of information surrounding it.
I built my workout routine by doing lots of research and watching workout videos + fitness routine videos on both TikTok and YouTube.
Remember to stay hydrated and focus on being the best you can be for yourself!

I’ve been reading lots of stuff about autistic Hotch. How do you think Hotch stims? Are there any gifs/examples from episodes?
OKAY so this is going to be a long list because I just went back through the episodes I've seen up to specifically looking for examples! But thank you for asking. I've been meaning to collect examples somewhere.
(I'll preface this with saying that everyone stims and just because I mention something here doesn't mean anyone is automatically autistic because they do that too.)
The main thing I can think of is what I very descriptively call "the hand thing" he does.
Tumblr media
This is probably the clearest example of it in a gif I could find. What I mean is the way he rubs his thumb over the ends of his fingers. I see it as a fairly subtle way to stim and it tends to come up mostly when he's either thinking or stressed. That's the main thing I've picked up on because he does it quite a lot; I haven't gone over the earlier episodes specifically yet - only skimmed certain parts based on the incidences of it I found going through screencaps from @masterwords - it seems most prevalent in the earlier seasons.
A few more examples - they don't all have the actual motion in them but you can see his fingers curled up like that. He also brings his hand up near his face somewhat often, again usually when he's thinking.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
He also does it a ton while walking and standing in general. Some more screenshots (thanks again @masterwords)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Two occasions stick out to me, both when he was distressed or highly worried at least. First is in Omnivore (4x18). It isn't strictly the thumb-over-the-fingers but it is similar, with his hand balled up and almost hiding his face at first.
Tumblr media
And the second I really like because we get the hand stim very clearly but also rocking! It's in 2x08, when Derek refuses to step away from the lady with a bomb under her car. Please ignore the choppy editing and audio lol I just needed to show this:
Here we also see the same thing he does in the above gif of 4x18 - the teeth grinding. I think that's only when he's under a fair bit of distress though.
I've been keeping track of it from now on partly because one day I'm going to compile everything into one absurdly long meta. So I've undoubtedly missed many times and my timings might be a little off but here's some if you want to see examples:
LDSK - 11:23
3x15 - 3:00
1x08 - bomb + rocking
2x15 -
5x03 - start + middle
7x07 - tapping
3x12 - 6min
3x11 - 22min
2x23 - 6min + 30min
2x19 - 39min
2x08 - 31min + earlier
2x05 - 29min
2x02 - 37min
1x21 - 30min
1x16 - 17min
4x18 - after bus
9x06 - 24min with pen
9x08 - 8min 10s
9x09 -5min 30s, 7:57, 22:40
9x11 - 29:46
9x13 - 6:55
9x14 - 4:40, 29:50
As you can see, it's the most noticeable for me in the early seasons. 9x06 was around when I started keeping track as I watch, not retrospectively, for context.
Not all of these are the hand thing! Some are things like when he picks up a pen he tends to keep it in hand even when he's not actually writing anything, just slightly fiddling with it constantly. And again that's nowhere near JUST an autistic thing but I notice it in addition to the main hand thing.
Another thing is, mostly when he's anxious and holding something like a phone, he'll tap his fingers lightly against it. I have a clip of him somewhere on my blog doing it in 7x07.
There's also what he does with his hands when he isn't stimming that's interesting to me.
Hotch spends a lot of time with his arms either crossed or his hands in his pockets. Often the hand thing and the crossed arms happen at the same, where he'll have his right arm across his chest and with his left running his thumb over his fingers.
I find it really interesting because I read that as trying not to stim. Because if his hands are in his pocket, he can't. If he's got his arms folded, he can't. I'd imagine it fits well with him and his backstory. He's quite reserved in general so it makes sense he wouldn't want to stim very openly even if it's a subtle thing, and then you add in the implications from 1x08 and it wouldn't be a stretch to imagine he was discouraged, whether consciously or not, not to.
Then again, it could also simply be a comfort thing to do something with his hands rather than not stimming. Could be counted as stimming itself - something like pressure.
But in order of most to least frequent, the canon stimming I see from him is
The hand thing
Fidgeting with pens, etc.
Teeth grinding
Rocking

I am not hijacking yet another one of scoobydoodean's posts for an Amy discussion (been there, done that), so I'm copying the whole thing over here:
@pendragony Thinking about the conversation in the comments of the latest instalment of @ani-coolgirl ‘s awesome ‘Every first time’ wincest project re Dean killing Amy. The thing about Sam is, for all the puppy dog, baby girl, uwu vibes, that man is also a stone cold killer who is capable of going right off the reservation without his brother acting as a moral compass. And Dean is used to clearing up his family’s messes. So, while there’s a lot of other stuff to consider, Dean quietly going to do what his mentally ill and morally questionable brother couldn’t, and then trying to ensure his peace by not telling him stuff that would hurt him, is also classic big brotherism on Dean’s part. It reminds me of his reaction to the Meg possession and finding out Sam killed a hunter - tidy up after little brother, and nobody needs to know. Both brothers are willing to monster themselves in order to save the other. @jinkieswouldyoulookatthis @blue-chimera
Do I understand why Dean killed Amy? Yes. Do I agree that it was, in their world, something that needed to be done? Yeah, I guess. Do I understand why Dean felt like he needed to do it behind Sam's back and then lie to him about it? From Dean's pov? Yes, but it still makes me want to shake him. Narratively, I get it. But there is a very loud voice in my head that goes, "Dude, that was an asshole move."
Like, Amy basically was what Sam had briefly suggested they become way back in Time is on My Side (3x15). She killed only to save the life of her son. She made an effort to kill those she considered to be bad people, trying to make the act feel less bad. But otherwise she had structured her life around not killing humans, finding "ethical" ways to source what she and her son needed. This is basically what Sam was thinking about when considering if they could somehow use Doc Benton's methods to loophole out of Dean's deal.
One of the things that I really like about Supernatural's story is how the boys are constantly dancing along a knife's edge of becoming the monsters that they hunt. And for the first half of the series, Sam was most often the one in danger of slipping, and his innate morality is less clear cut than Dean's so he relies heavily on Dean to help determine the right course of action. But as the series goes on, as Sam better figures himself out (has the pride beaten out of him by the story), Dean becomes the one losing his way. The Amy situation, happening at the beginning of season 7, is around the tipping point for this shift, and I think that may be part of why it stands out and causes so much passionate discussion.
But, I don't know, as always, I just wished they'd talk to each other about shit, lol!

Jockposting :) Lifting progress under the cut 💪
the tldr is that i a couple of months I put 20kg on my deadlift, 15kg on my squat, and I am SO close to benching 35kg for reps I can taste it. If I was in a frame of mind to optimise for recovery and nutrition I'd be unstoppable but as it is I'm just really feelin' myself
I'm on week 9 of GZCLP, a reddit-bro sorta program that's IME extremely effective. Once again, I maintain that reddit is phenomenal for solid fitness knowledge
It's a linear progression program, meaning that you increase the weight on the bar week by week, and it's ideal for novices who're still in the "beginner's gain" stage of weightlifting. It's also great if you're returning to structured programming lifting after a break (me!) but I probably won't keep at it after the first 12-week cycle is over, there's only so much linear increase I can aspire to.
Programming: GZCLP is 4x week, built around big compound lifts in the "strength" range (low reps, higher weights). They're complemented by a medium-rage amount of reps of a different compound lift than the one you're practising that day. So basically, you do big lifts twice a week, but at a different weight/range (called Tier 1 and Tier 2 to tell them apart). Every session also includes isolation exercises in the hypertrophy range, starting at 3x15+.
Jargon: that + symbol means that the last set is meant to be "as many reps as possible" or AMRAP. So if I'm doing 3x5+ squats, I'd do 5 reps for my first and second set, then try to aim for 6 or 7 in my last set.
Progression: You add weight every week to each compound lift; if you fail, the rep scheme changes keeping the volume the same.
T1 (main lifts) go from 3x5+ >>> 4x4+ >>> 5x3+
T2 (medium range reps for compound lifts) start at 3x10 >>> 3x8 >>> 3x6
T3 (back work and accessories) are 3x15+, only progressing when the AMRAP set gets to 25.
The T2 lifts especially are brutal. Because they go up every week but the amount of volume is A Lot. Doing sets of 10 reps with heavy-ish squats or deadlifts is extremely demanding.
Sessions! Basically, each week looks like this
Day 1: Squats (T1) + Bench press (T2) + Back work and leg accessories (T3)
Day 2: Overhead barbell press (T1) + Deadlift (T2) + Back work and upper body accessories (T3)
Day 3: Bench press (T1) + Squats (T2) + Back Work and upper body and core accessories (T3)
Day 4: Deadlift (T1) + Overhead bar press (T2) + Hip thrusts (T2) + Back work and core accessories (T3)
I start every session with dynamic stretching AND core engagement exercises (deadbug, planks, renegade row, suitcase carries) and usually end with an abs + kettlebell swing circuit. KB swings are SUPER FUN, btw. I do them every minute on the minute with a timer, starting with 5 swings then working my way up to 12-15 reps on the minute before I go up in weight. Currently I'm using a20kg (44 lbs) kettlebell.
💪 Weight on the bar! ✨
The whole point of this post was to blather about my lifting numbers so here we go. I started 9 weeks ago a bit conservatively, which imo is better than starting too heavy and going up too fast. I've failed every lift except squats, and that's only because I'm not consistently breaking parallel like I want to — a goal for my next training cycle is to work on lower body flexibility, go lighter on squats and with better form. This cycle is mainly to get more weight on that bar.
Squat
T1: 37.5kg >>> 52.5kg (116 lbs) for 3 sets of 5 reps
T2: 32.5kg to 43.5kg (96lbs) for sets of 10 reps
Overhead press
I failed multiple times here! Why is it so hard to build stronk shoulders, I ask you
T1: 17kg to 22.5kg (50 lbs) for 4 sets of 4 reps
T2: 12kg to 18kg (40 lbs) for sets of 6 reps
Bench Press
Veeeery proud of how this one is going
T1: 25kg to 33.5kg (74 lbs) for 5 sets of 3 reps
T2: 20 kg to 30kg (66 lbs) for 3 sets of 8 reps. Veeery proud of my progress on this one.
Deadlift
Bit frustrated because DLs used to be my strongest lift and I feel like I should be further ahead but that posterior chain needs nurturing
T1: 43kg to 62.5 (134 lbs) for 5 sets of 3 reps
T2: 33kg to 53.5 (118) for 3 sets of 10 reps
What's next?
3 more weeks of GZCLP then we shall see! I'm thinking an intermediate bench program + less volume on lower-body lifts, especially since I'm going to get more serious about half marathon training next month.

Visiting the Supernatural shooting locations Part 2
Please find part 1 here.
On our final day, we did Deer Lake and Riverview as the main viewing points.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The thing y'all gotta keep in mind is that there are so many locations, that we drove by countless of them just driving around, so I'm not showing you most of what I saw because I didn't get pictures of it all and also because tumblr wouldn't allow me to post so many photos.
That spot that's highlighted in Riverview? They shot 1x05, 1x10, 1x13, 1x18, 2x01, 2x19, 3x15, 4x06, 4x09, 4x13, 4x16, 5x04, 5x11, 6x10, 6x21, 7x02, 7x03, 7x10, 7x17, 7x21, and 10x09 there.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And that's just one building in Riverview.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
It's a beautiful park and we got really lucky with the weather and it only poured rain for half of one day. Even with the bright light, it felt very creepy and I can only imagine how it would look and feel with fog or on a cloudy day. There were a lot of signs warning people not to enter the building or stay on the premises after dark.
A lot of the finale was filmed around Deer Lake. Unfortunately, the Burnaby Village Museum was closed because apparently it's only open to the public in the summer. We weren't able to visit there, but we were able to visit several other filming sites.
One of the things I noticed is that often episodes are filmed in clumps. For example, Regarding Dean was filmed in a few locations, but they grouped together the filming at the various locations to make it easier to film. The restaurant they went to was the Denny's near the motel they went to.
At this Deer Lake location, they filmed multiple scenes from the finale Sam playing catch with son, Dean's funeral pyre, the tree scene, the house the vamps broke into, Sam going for a run, and the pie scene, plus scenes from other episodes.
We found the tree where Baby was parked
Tumblr media Tumblr media
which was in a slightly different location than the map said, but close enough that we found it easily. This place looked so different
Tumblr media Tumblr media
But we're at a different time of the year and we're visiting 14 years later, so it's probably due to that.
One thing that I forgot to mention on the earlier post is that while Bobby's house is gone, the junkyard is still standing and an active business.
Tumblr media
We had read online that the owner is very friendly, but it felt kinda awkward going in there and taking photos while people are hard at work. There's a giant dog that barks at you when you walk in.
One place I wanted to visit, but didn't get to was the Spur 4 Bridge where the finale ended.
Tumblr media
There's a few shooting locations up there including the spot where Sam and Dean split up in 5.02 and the purgatory scenes in s15, but the Spur 4 Bridge is a hike since it's on a private road. Most people access it through the Fisherman's Trail
Tumblr media
Although it's rated as easy here, someone who hiked it recently said that due to a rockslide, bring boots. You can also bike around it.
Since it was such a long hike, I decided to save it for next visit, when I'll plan a whole day around it. I also want to visit the place where they defeat Chuck, which is up in Minaty Bay and visit the area south of Richmond where they filmed Mystery Spot and several BM scenes.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
As for getting around in general, the city of Vancouver is very bikeable and there's different bike rental options available. I don't know about transporting them between locations, but you can do this section by bike easy
Tumblr media
We had a car, which enabled us to travel to a wide variety of sites and visit locations such as the Lulu Trestle (1x07, 3x07, 4x03, 4x13, 9x14, 12x22, 15x18).
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Now you can get to the Trestle by public transportation, but it'll take you an hour from Burnaby Village Museum by bus versus a 16 minute drive. If you don't have access to a car, I'd focus my visit on the cities. At one point, we split up and I took the Sky Train from Burnaby to Westminster and it was very safe and easy. I also took a few buses to get to and from various locations. Vancouver was, in my experience, a very clean, safe city, with lots of public restrooms. Just don't continue going east of Gastown. There may be other parts that are unsafe, so if you are unsure, send me a PM and I can tell you exactly where we went.
I also recommend Salmon n'Bannock, which is an Indigenous restaurant that had some of the best food I've ever had.
Tumblr media
Hope this helps! It was an amazing experience and I highly recommend that you visit. I'd pick out your favorite places before you arrive because there's so many places and it can get overwhelming looking at the map!

What is love?
Shakespeare tells us that 'love looks not with the eyes, but with the mind.' I'm only 10 and have yet to experience great love, so I chose to write about the only love I'm familiar with, the love my parents share.
It's not a new love filled with burning passion. My sister says they don't even French kiss anymore. But it's the little things I see them do for each other that tells me what love is, like in the car, when my mom puts her hand on the back of my dad's neck and massages it... Or when my dad warms up my mom's car and scrapes the ice off her windshield on cold mornings... And how they've learned to communicate with each other, using their own special language.
It's true we don't have a lot of money, but I like to think, even if we did, my parents would still be at home, hanging out together - of course in a much nicer house with a jacuzzi soaking tub. - If you ask people what they think are the greatest loves stories, they'll say Romeo and Juliet, or Hermione and Ron Weasley, and those are fine, but if you ask me, great love stories can be small, like my mom and dad's.

I keep watching 3x15, Half-Wit, which has a B plot of the team thinking House has brain cancer. I’ve got a lot of thoughts about it, mainly that I wish it was an arc not a B Plot, but I digress.
What I’m most interested in is going back to the scenes between Chase and House in that episode. They could easily have had Cameron be the one to come in and be emotional while trying to hold it together thinking House is dying from brain cancer but they didn’t. They had it be Chase. In both the major Chase&House scenes Chase is holding back tears. In the second one, he’s blunt about the fact he’s not going to give platitudes House doesn’t want to hear - he just wants to hug him. And he does.
Regardless of how you think Chase loves House (familial, platonic, romantic) the love is very obviously there. He’s emotional, but keeping it tampered down because he knows House doesn’t want to deal with it. Not that he cares any less - he doesn’t. Obviously so. If anything I think it shows that he cares more. He’s not trying to get something out of House (like Cameron) or say what he thinks he needs to (like Foreman). You could argue he’s searching for physical affection because he needs it granted he never got it with his father who also died of a cancer, but you could just as easily read it as him doing it to try and give House some level of comfort. Chase does think House has six months to a year to live, after all,
I just have so many stupid little thoughts about Chase and House. Someone come yell about them with me, I beg.
