Kenna Jean Harris, a storyboard artist that works for Pixar and directed the Ciao Alberto short, shared these drawings of Luca and Alberto on their instagram:

Also, it's really cool to know that the umbrella drawing is inspired by the scene and the music from Little Women (1996) when Jo and Bhaer meet again.

Hi there! I’m Andie. And that’s not my real name. Welcome to my little edge of the internet! I’ve never really had any kind of presence on the web or whatever. I love the Sims 2 & 3, though I don’t totally know how to mod either one, Pixar’s Luca and the accompanying Luberto ship, In A Heartbeat (the 2017 short film), fanfictions and fanfiction writing, and being the best homemaker dude I can be! I’m kind of, relatively, new here, so I’m not completely sure how this stuff works. I’m full of ideas and have notebooks full of ‘em. It would be delightful to get to know the people of my fandoms!

okay like, pixar HAS to release somthing from turning red soon like, almost EVERY pixar movie has gotten a short of some kind. Toy story, up, soul, cars, luca, brave, incredibles,Monsters inc, inside out, coco, finding Nemo, Wall e, ect. There is no way they will just IGNORE turning red and just be like, "well you got a deleted scene a bout a year ago that's pretty good." Gonna SUE if we dont get some 4town content sometime soon. I mean I would rather they just say "NO SCREW TURNING RED WE HATE IT AND IT WILL NEVER GET ANY NEW CONTENT EVER" than just sitting here like "idk MAYBE you will get some content within the next 10 years tee hee🤭🤭🤭"
Tumblr media
The "tail shaking incident" will go down in 4town history.

Looks like they got something good for waiting...
youtube
SOUL, TURNING RED, and LUCA - for some reason, in that order, and not chronological order - come to theaters for the first time in the U.S. in the first quarter of next year.
After all, Disney has *nothing*. Zilch. For that span of time. Nothing blockbuster-y until KINGDOM OF THE PLANET OF THE APES opens on Memorial Day weekend. ELIO and SNOW WHITE being taken out of March 2024 left a massive gap in their schedule...
And WISH ain't doing so hot, so might as well take the three Pixar films that went straight to streaming and put them in theaters. Those three movies pulled in big numbers on Disney+, so I wonder how they'll do in theaters. These aren't necessarily re-releases, which puts them in a unique position... These movies will all be each over 2 years old by March 2024, and it's technically their first theatrical releases... Not really re-releases... Unless you want to say "they're re-releases of streaming movies."
Like, say, Netflix giving KLAUS a theatrical release some time in the future. Or Sony putting THE MITCHELLS VS. THE MACHINES, VIVO, and WISH DRAGON in theaters while we wait for the third SPIDER-VERSE movie. (Hint hint)
Anyways, this is very exciting news. I've seen every Pixar feature in a theater, so I'll definitely see SOUL, LUCA, and TURNING RED the way they were meant to be seen.
Now get some shorts before 'em, and we're golden. Old or new. BURROW was supposed to accompany SOUL in theaters if it had come out in 2020, it debuted on Disney+ the same day. I certainly watched both in order when they came out on Christmas Day... so maybe they'll attach it to SOUL in theaters? Are new shorts in development? We'll see!
Question Answered: There WILL be shorts attached...
Older ones, though.
SOUL will have, as I guessed, BURROW attached.
TURNING RED will have KITBULL attached.
LUCA will go even further back: FOR THE BIRDS, which ran before MONSTERS, INC. waaaaaay back in 2001, will be attached.
Well how 'bout that?

nah but can you imagine what would happen if pixar released a second movie or tv show or just another short and confirmed a romance between luca and Alberto. could you imagine how quickly people would lose their fucking mind. could you imagine the absolute chaos in the luca fanbase that would come from that. I don’t think we - or they - would be able to handle it

[image description: fanart of the kids from pixar’s “luca”. they are sat on a beach, studying the flyers of the competition route next to a map centered on portorosso and the sea. giulia points at the flyers, hand on one hip, dictating some sort of plan. she wears a cuffed white and orange striped shirt, blue jean shorts, sandles, and a green hip pouch bag. next to her, luca listens intently, his knees folded up to his chest. he wears a teal collared shirt and navy shorts. alberto kneels behind them (listening less intently), resting his hands on his friends’ heads. he wears red suspenders over a white sleeveless shirt and brown breeches. the second image is a zoomed out version, showing more of the beach and the rocks behind them.]

Okay, Pixar, we need to talk…
Apparently Disney and Pixar are coming out with plenty of new movies. I wanted to give my opinion on a few of these movies so, here we are. Feel free to discuss, agree, or disagree, in the comments.
Okay, first off we have Toy Story 5. 🙄 I could not sigh any louder. The third movie where Andy passed off the toys to Bonnie, left for college, and gave one last look to his toys in the rear view mirror was the PERFECT ending and that’s where it should’ve ended. We didn’t need number 4 and honestly, what else is there to say in number 5?
Second, Frozen 3. We all know Elsa is a lesbian, don’t even come at me for that. She had a great thing with honeymaren. They had so much chemistry right out of the gate. While I personally love the frozen franchise, it disappoints me that they’re putting her with a man in the third movie.
Third, Elemental. Elemental was a great movie and I actually don’t have any criticisms on the movie. It’s what they did after that was a tiny bit disappointing to me. They basically had an idea for elemental two right after they finished the first one. The second movie was supposed to depict Wade and Ember’s child. They had the idea of making the kid a baby made of steam as that was the combination of fire and water but that poked holes in the logic of the universe that they resided in. Even so, I still would’ve liked to see it as it would’ve just been so cute. Maybe in a short or something if they didn’t make a full movie.
That’s pretty much all I have right now but there will be more because I want to go over Luca 2 as well. I also wanted to express my aggravation with the Monsters Inc. franchise as we’re getting movies like Toy Story 5 instead of a Monsters Inc. movie where boo is older like we’ve been asking for for like decades. Anyway, that’s all. Bye!

Happy 100th Anniversary,Disney! 🏰 💫 ✨
Yesterday,100 years ago,Walt Disney and his brother,Roy launched a animation studio on October 16th,1923,after experimenting with a few projects,Walt had a dream that eventually all started with a mouse named Mickey, who became a cultural phenomenon thanks to Steamboat Willie when it was released on 1928 and was followed by other Disney cartoon icons such as Donald Duck and Goofy, then later would go on to create the world’s first fully animated feature,Snow White and The Seven Dwarves in 1937,which it’s success kickstarted Walt Disney Animation Studio as the true forefather of animated features and Walt and later, his studio after his death in 1966, would go on create so many timeless animated feature films all the way to this day with memorable classics like Pinocchio,Fantasia,Dumbo,Bambi,Cinderella,Alice In Wonderland,Peter Pan,101 Dalmations,The Jungle Book,The Little Mermaid,Beauty and The Beast,Aladdin,The Lion King,Mulan,Tarzan,Lilo and Stitch and modern ones like The Princess and The Frog,Tangled,Wreck-It-Ralph,Frozen,Big Hero 6,Zootopia,Moana,and Encanto,Disney would also experiment with movies combining both live-action and animation like the controversial Song of The South(1946) and Mary Poppins(1964) and even he begin to make the jump to live-action films started with Treasure Island(1950),which the company had also continued to this day.
After Walt’s death in 1966,his company would grow to become not one of the biggest film companies in Hollywood, but the best in media with theme parks(such as Disneyland, the happiest place of earth that Walt opened in 1955 and Walt Disney World, which opened in theme parks),having several subsidiaries like Pixar(the studio that godfathered computer-animation thanks to Toy Story and created so many memorable computer-animated flicks like Monster’s Inc,Finding Nemo,The Incredibles,Cars,Ratatouille,Wall-E,Up,Inside Out,Coco,Soul,Luca, and Turning Red) and Marvel Studios(home of the Marvel Cinematic Universe),streaming services(Disney+ and Hulu),and television(ABC and Disney Channel).
Despite Disney having been it’s up’s and downs in the entertainment industry recently(mostly due to it’s hit-or-miss trend of live-action remakes of their beloved animated films that was started by their live-action department thanks to Tim Burton’s Alice In Wonderland and Bob Chapek nearly bringing the company down to the ground during his short tenure as CEO from 2020-2022),they are still a beloved entertainment company who gives us magical storytelling(both animated and live-action),iconic and beloved characters(such as Mickey Mouse,Donald Duck,Goofy,Snow White,Buzz Lightyear,Jack Sparrow,Mary Poppins,Stitch,Elsa,Rapunzel,Cinderella,Ariel,Maleficent,Wreck-It-Ralph,and Moana),amazing theme parks and live stage shows, and great quality content(including Walt Disney Animation Studios,Pixar,Marvel Studios,Star Wars stuff, and Disney’s television animation unit, famous for giving us animated shows on the Disney Channel,Disney+,and Disney Junior).
The new recent Walt Disney Animation Studios,Once Upon A Studio I’ve watched yesterday on ABC was truely a love-letter to the magical legacy that Walt Disney started 100 years ago and very happy seeing all of the Disney animated characters I’ve grown up with over the years getting together for a huge group photo really warms my heart and I really loved the emotional scene where Mickey thanks his old buddy,Walt for starting this 100-year old legacy that the studio continued to this day.
Happy 100 Years of Wonder,Disney! Thank you for continuing Walt Disney’s magical legacy he brought to the studio that started out with a mouse 100 years ago and still continuing to make people’s dreams come true to this day and still keep moving forward to explore new ideas and try new things. ✨💫🏰
