I have been known to get into shows/seasons of shows via couple memes on the interwebs (see #CaptainSwan for OUAT but that’s a post for another day) and Vicley is the definition of the meme “they had us in the first half, not gonna lie” because wtffffff? WHY? *insert all the confused memes here* Show your working out please, because the math isn’t mathing. Broke Vic’s heart for no good reason and lost new and existing viewers. Should have just sat and ate your food to be honest.

Wow. That was an episode.

R.I.P. Fire Battalion Chief Ripley.

That was a beautiful little love story we never really got to see all that much of until this episode.

It really is ironic in the most awful of ways how when you start to care for someone that meant nothing to you once you begin to only notice it when you’re about to lose them. Or even because you’re losing them.

It’s like something has to hurt for that to happen.

Not the caring. But the awareness that you care.

Because if you didn’t care, you wouldn’t hurt.

You wouldn’t feel like you’re losing anything.

And I don’t just mean in the romantic way.

Just any way. No matter how it’s defined.

A lot of people mistake caring for someone for loving them or being in love with them. Not always the case.

But I guess you really know the truth of what it really is when you can’t do anything but feel pain over the loss.

It’s awful that it has to be that way. But for some people the only indicator of love is how much it hurts because it’s in how much it hurts that love is realized.

It’s awfully ironic and horrifically contradictory.

That’s just the way that it works for some people. The only way they can show that they really care about you and love you is in how much they feel pain over you. Over the loss of you. No matter the definition of it.

Love may be a human experience but it doesn’t go by human conceptualization: It never has. It never will.
