Alternative ideas for Lucifer's wings!
I'm no artist but I found his wings to be very plain in that reveal shot. The lack of feather details leave them as giant red blots taking up nearly half of the screen. I think he could go with some kind of accessories, gold to match his accent and elegant to match the suit design. Chains or a sparkling cloth can add some lighting effects in there, or you can go with the starry design on the inside of his wings to give the large feeling of space to accompany how much of the screen they're taking up.
If he's a former angel, the morning star, there should be some kind of shiny, sparkly or starry effect in there! Play it up!

-Reimagined/Redesigned The king of Hell, Lucifer Morningstar OR Lucifer Dawnbringer as imma call him, from Hazbin Hotel out of pure blind SPITE. Saying it now I don't like the show that much, or the creator at all. This was me creating him how I saw him. Especially after I found his character goofy I decided he was my first character to recreate - I already did Vaggie and Alastor idk who to do next maybe Angel or Charlie
-To put it simply he looked so young. If I didn't know who he was l'd think he was Charlie's brother. He also didn't scream "the big bad king of hell" to me. So I made him older, and ginger haired referencing the paintings of the guy. A Halo like crown and wings. Made his hair longer, and kept him relatively " animation friendly " according to some Stan's of the show. And I gave him a beard. Whenever I see the redesigns with a beard I do a flip. I’d think of him as of course a bit brooding, has realistic thoughts with his daughters hotel. However I’d see him as someone who’s interested in the creations his daughter creates. As well as those serious people who find the silliness shit funny, but hides it with a straight face.
(Note) so I went back and looked at it and this design and the redesign from Loveart23 do have some similarities- And some people asked if I got inspired. No not really actually 😭. I used some concepts from my old personas outfit into his clothes and went for a rouge priest look???? And added colors from the show and colors I added - I think a few changes a few outfit elements could work because I think that looks the most similar. So expect a change in his outfit with his daughter soon.

The Biggest Problem With Hazbin Hotel's Rehabilitation Mentality Is Trying To Make All Sinners Victims Instead Of Owning Up To Their Own Sins
Tumblr media
I think the biggest problem with Hazbin Hotel rehabilitation mentality is that they focus in on how sinners are victim of circumstances rather than owning up to their problems and changing themselves. I think the biggest thing with this series is the fact that they think the problem is society instead of someone's own issues how they got into hell.
Tumblr media
One of the first indications of this bs is making it out that Lucifer and Lilith were just misunderstood dreamers were against a strict ignoring that they caused sin in the world and caused help humanity's downfall. But the narrative ignores that fact and tries to treat them as victims of heaven, so we can have Lucifer as a misunderstood sad boy instead of how in the Bible he was jealous of humanity and wanted to bring it down with him due to God's love for them. A misunderstood sad boy wouldn't do this type of shit and Vivziepop selling it a load of it.
Tumblr media
I know this is going to be controversial but I think Angel Dust is hindered as a character but not focusing on what got him into hell. And it wasn't just the drugs and sex, because he did kill people and some of them probably didn't end up in hell. So just imagine him being sent to heaven and his former victims recognized him for his crimes and until now showed repentance. However, the narrative even then doesn't focus on that fact but the idea he's a total victim and doesn't show part of his way to redemption is get his life back together and admit he's done shit where he wasn't the victim but the victimizer. One could say he was put through that life, but then again show his sister is in heaven and that she chose a life of virtue and made it. So, he has no excuse of his dad or brother getting himself into hell except himself and he needs to work on it. Even if he's a victim to Valentino, he still is a victimizer in someone else's eyes who recognizes him decades ago.
Tumblr media
And I am also going to say this the Extermination is used as a way to have all of hell be turned into pitied victims that you forget a lot of them are in hell for a reason. And even more they are doing antics that got them probably into hell like murder, sex, and other types of depravity. While not all sinners are on the same level, the exterminations as a whole just i used to make you forget that they are there for a reason and erase that there is a reason they weren't given a chance into heaven. Seriously, Emily herself called them innocent souls when in any other scene they are far from innocent and the reason why Adam is depicted as a one note villain is because they can't fathom the idea that maybe the Extermination could be used to cull the worst sinners or something.
Tumblr media
I think the biggest problem with Hazbin Hotel's every sinner is really a victim it comes ironically counter to finding redemption. A show which Vivziepop says she inspires from but she completely misses the point is Bojack. She says she's watched it but the biggest point of the show just because you are the victim doesn't give you an excuse to act like a total jackass to others and not own up to your mistakes. The problem is Habzin Hotel never lets anyone own up because they have to play victims, especially any character favored by Vivziepop. Redemption doesn't come from seeing yourself as a victim, but recognizing your own mistakes and how to reform from them. And frankly I didn't see Angel Dust want to reform from his mistakes, but just want a home away from Val. The problem is that Hazbin Hotel is about enforcing victimhood instead of owning up that you did bad things and need to change. An excuse for your behavior is still not fully an excuse and you need to own up to your actions.

If I had never seen Hazbin before and you made me watch all of it with Alastor and Lucifer’s names censored, and removed the opening narration, then had me guess after the fact which of these two characters is the devil, I would probably think it’s Alastor. The red, the horns, the super demon form, the making of deals, he’s a way better devil than Lucy the depressed twink dad. Either that or i’d think the joke behind them clashing is that they’re both this stories take on satan but in different ways.

I have very mixed feelings about Lucifer and Charlie's relationship
With the way the pilot set Lucifer up he seemed much more mysterious and evil
We don't learn much about him in the pilot other than that Charlie and him don't have a good relationship. Like that one scene where Charlie is calling her mom and she says "I think dad was right about me" and it shows that Lucifer didn't have any faith in her and the hotel (atleast that's how I interpreted it)
And at the start of the pilot when Lucifer if looming behind Charlie when she's discussing her dreams. Like it's very clear that Lucifer didn't believe in Charlie (also the reason Im talking about the pilot is because I'm pretty sure it's still canon, correct me if I'm wrong tho 😭)
The thing that kinda confuses me tho is that in the show Charlie said they were never close and that after him and Lilith split up he didn't really talk to her (Charlie) unless he was bored or something. But then when Charlie asks for some help Lucifer comes down to the hotel and is being super nice to Charlie and it's clear that he cares about her. He also got Charlie that meeting with heaven (atleast I think it was a meeting I dont remember 🧍‍♀️)
I do like the idea of Lucifer being a silly dad and loving Charlie but I feel like the way they went about it wasn't the best. Like it feels like this all happened very quickly yk? Especially since at the start of the ep Charlie seemed all stressed to call her dad yet at the end they are basically besties
I feel like part of this is due to the shows crappy pacing but also Vivziepops writing. I've noticed that with Vivziepops writing she just jumps into emotional moments without any build up (an ex. of this is that one scene with Carmilla where she's singing about her daughters and how much she loves them, but we literally just met her so like it's hard to care) It's kinda hard to care about Charlie and her dads relationship when we have only seen them together for an episode 😭
If Lucifer had more build up and wasn't just squeezed in than I feel like their relationship could have worked much better!

About Eve
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Okay, I'm gonna say this. It's clear that the Eve impersonating Lilith is highly canon. It's an interesting theory, not gonna lie, but I have doubts about it. By the looks of it, Eve is going to be the "big bad". I always feel icky about he further demonization of Eve. In popular beliefs, Eve is blame far more than Adam for the fall of humanity. She is portrayed as a temptress. Not only that, she was punished via pain of childbirth. It is so cruel and unjust depiction of her and women as a whole. I truly hope, if she's going to be am antagonist, they would make her a sympathetic one. I hope that they don't further demonize her for the sake of uplifting Lucifer and his family. But knowing how Vivziepop female antagonists, especially if they are bothering her favorite male characters, I'm concerned.

Sooo since people are complaining about Chaggie/Vaggie being boring and stuff (though I don’t see much of people trying to give ideas to how this could be fixed-)
I’m gonna give a layout to make both Vaggie and the relationship more spicy.
So I think the best route to go about this is to have Vaggie still be a fallen Angel. But the thing about this is that Charlie doesn’t KNOW she’s a fallen Angel. As far as Charlie’s concerned, she met Vaggie a while ago while wandering the streets of hell trying to find someone to aid her in her “Happy Hotel” start up quest.
She meets Vaggie at some coffee shop and the two make quick friends. To Charlie, she just met Vaggie but to Vaggie, she had already met Charlie, some time ago during the last execution.
Vaggie, still as an Angel, did not like heaven. She thinks it’s full of hypocrisy and she’s not all that well treated there. But the two things had kept her from leaving heaven was the fear of hell her hatred of demons. (I’d imagine she probably hated Charlie a lot because she’s the daughter of hell) Until one execution where she was about to kill one demon but said demon was saved by Charlie. Hell, they could even have a face off. But in those moments, Vaggie’s worldview is challenged by Charlie’s unwavering want to protect her people.
The angels retreat and Vaggie is stuck with her battle between her and Charlie replaying over and over in her head. If the daughter of hell can have kindness….then maybe other demons can? This thought finally pushed Vaggie to leave heaven (or get kicked out. Idk how it works-)
She decided to transform into a moth demon with Charlie in mind (because cute moth to light allegory).
Flash forward to current times and Vaggie is the manager of the Happy/Hazbin hotel but, as we can see from what’s out already, the past has come to haunt her in the form of Adam. Throughout the show Adam will constantly tease and hint at Vaggie’s past and Vaggie will have to work hard to deny everything. After all, why would Charlie ever love someone who tried to kill her and her people?
Hell, Alastor could even get in on the tea after finally putting together the pieces. Have him constantly plant seeds of doubt within Charlie, saying something along the lines of “you’re love with Vaggie isn’t as strong as you think it is” and such. Have Charlie slowly start to doubt Vaggie on her love and loyalty to not only the hotel but to her. Have Vaggie dig herself deeper and deeper into a hole with every lie she tells Charlie.
And when the truth finally comes out, due to either Vaggie trying to protect Charlie from something and accidentally outing herself, Alastor or Adam, Charlie feels betrayed…but not because of anything Alastor would try to say to Charlie (spinning things so that it would look like Vaggie was a spy sent from heaven to ruin the hotel) but because Vaggie didn’t trust her enough to tell her about Vaggie’s past.
This angst can go one for maybe an episode or two. Through events Vaggie can talk to Lilith about stuff and Lilith can say something along the lines of “the people who truly care about you wouldn’t care about who you were then, but who you are now and you have to do that for yourself.” For you see, this story isn’t just about Charlie and Vaggie but it’s about Vaggie realizing how much she’s changed but also how much she needs to grow. She needs to learn how to forgive herself and stop letting her past as an Angel hinder what she has now.
And for Charlie (as much as this isn’t her fault) reflects (maybe with her dad) about Vaggie. Lucifer tells Charlie about how Lilith found out about him being a fallen Angel and how they made their relationship work and how fell apart. How he doesn’t want the same for her and Vaggie.
The two meet up…maybe at the coffee shop where they “first” met and they talk after a while. Vaggie goes on to apologize for lying to Charlie, the executions and explains the real reason she fell into hell. And her reasoning makes Charlie fall in love with her all over again. Vaggie chose hell over heaven for her, she chose to work with her to get her passion project up and running and stuck by her despite all of the backlash the idea gave them. Despite the backlash and consequences for being a traitor of heaven.
It makes Charlie appreciate Vaggie so much more than she did before. And she expresses this. Yes, she’s hurt that Vaggie wasn’t honest with her, but she understands why she wasn’t. Charlie tells Vaggie that she’d love her no matter what and she shouldn’t have to be afraid to tell her anything. She reflects that maybe she’s helped a little bit in that insecurity, being so wrapped up in the production of the hotel, constantly letting other people sway her mind and being a little neglecting towards her. Charlie apologizes as well and the two get back together, stronger than ever.
Is this perfect….nope. But I think it does the duo some justice while also utilizing other characters as well. Lemme know what you guys think.

I've seen some leaks to some 3 sec Hazbin Hotel clips of Alastor and Lucifer with their voices being heard. Alastor's voice? It's alright! I miss Ed voicing him, but whoever this person is does a pretty good job, so I won't complain.
Now Lucifer??? Are we sure he's Charlie's daddy?? Because he sounds more like her BROTHER! Dude's supposed to be a middle-aged man! Why does he sound so young, lol??? Even if it's just his singing voice I'm hearing, it pretty much gives me a basic idea of what he'll sound like and I won't like it.
No disrespect to whoever is voicing him or his singing voice. I'm sure he's a great actor, it just doesn't seem to fit for me.

Smiling Friends' Understand The Devil Better Than Hazbin Hotel
Tumblr media
I am going to be honest with you guys I was kinda of hoping that Hazbin Hotel would at least show him to be a terrible dad, but nope he has to be Stolasified and be a complete misunderstood baby who was just a dreamer shot down by mean old heaven and now has lost all his passion. While Smiling Friends is having none of that crap, while it seems at first you can sympathize with the devil it also emphasizes that he's a prisoner of his own sins and not because anyone made him that way. Also he still is a dick even after getting over his funk.

Just finished episode 5. I have some… thoughts and some criticisms.
I think this episode suffered from a lack of focus. The B-plot with Alistor and Mimzey was entirely unnecessary, and never once until this point has Alistor showed a parental bond with Charlie. That came out of left field, so I can only assume he was attempting to upset Lucifer and that was it.
Husk’s comment about him also being on a leash makes me think Alistor is only involved because Lilith made him get involved, which would leave him to essentially be forced to fill the role of a parental figure in her place. It would also explain him antagonizing Lucifer, as Lucifer and Lilith seem to be divorced to some capacity. Still, this plot point needed developing. Even just one comment from Alistor earlier in the season about his disdain for Lucifer or his appreciation of Charlie would have made it make more sense. We need more showing and less telling.
Charlie’s plotline was written much tighter than that. Her relationship with her father is clearly a lot more fleshed out than her relationship with Alistor, which seems to unfortunately be a trend with Viv’s writing. That is, a lack of exploration between character dynamics. Still, it’s better than Helluva Boss in that regard.
Overall, I enjoyed the main focus of the episode, but the B-plot dragged and had me wanting to skip those scenes. You could skip those scenes almost entirely and it have no bearing on the plot. Almost, because Alistor makes a choice at the end that… had no real lead up in his character arc. He seems to be jumping from point to point without actually transitioning or changing at all. Another common flaw in Viv’s writing, but he seems to be the only character with writing like that so far.
So, over all, I remain optimistic.
