Title: Rita and Bonn - Work Out

While the kids (Spot, Riya, Miya, and Aace) we're jogging at the park, their parents are having a morning work out at their own gym. Rita putting on her own M.M.A. fighting gear and she's starting to kicked at punching/kicking bag, good for practicing her Muay Thai art skills. 🦵😁 As for Bonn, he wears his fitness gear and he's starting to do a Pull-ups, good for his biceps, balance, and increase his beefy strength. Heck, he can do one arm though. ✊😉

Rita 🐶🚺: Warm up exercise is the pinaka mahalaga (most important) thing to keep our bodies moving, after a long hours of rest. *continuing kicking onto her combat bag* Whether you have an important match, or just want your body stay in shape, it is all important! HEEYAH!

Bonn 🐰🚹: *Continuing his pull-ups* *Phew (2x)* Indeed, my love! Always stay in shape, and we're sweating so much. So, that's good for us. Stick with water, folks. If you want a all natural thirst, then you can't go wrong. And yeah, I could do one armed pull-up! See? Now, I can reach my bottling mineral water. *drinking* Aaahh! Refreshing!

The organizers of “Power Slap” have defended the sport by comparing it with boxing. “In slap, they take three to five slaps per event,” White explained, in a promotional interview. “Fighters, in boxing, take three to four hundred punches a fight.” Some observers have pointed out a significant difference: in boxing and M.M.A., fighters try their best not to get hit flush, whereas slap fighting has “zero defense.” This argument is true—but also slightly misleading, since it implies that concussive blows are a flaw of other combat sports rather than the whole point. In both boxing and M.M.A., the rules are designed to insure that fighters will almost certainly be hit in the head, repeatedly. Slap fighting removes the pretense, making it impossible for those of us in the audience to pretend that the violence we’re watching is accidental, or avoidable.

i think the question should be "when do you not connect with the universe," because there would be a lot less to write here! your relationship with your spiritual team and the world around you is very unique, and it's embedded into your everyday life seamlessly. i think what you need to do here is just slow down and smell the flowers (both literally and figuratively), understand that you are always loved and supported.

you may have been struggling with poverty of sorts, whether that stems from your mental or physical environment, and felt the absence of the universe around you. however, that's just your anxiety and negative thoughts speaking, not your intuition! you got gemini, so the best advice i could give you is looking at both sides of a situation, and understanding that even when you feel completely lonely and alone on your battles, you aren't. you may also feel your spiritual gifts more when you engage in creative activities, especially drawing / painting and writing. channelling messages through that could be a great way to feel safe again, when you start feeling low.

Week 4: Reality T.V, and how one such show saved the U.F.C

Reality T.V is probably one of the weirdest phenomena in the history of television.

Ever since T.Vs became a common household items all the way back in the late 1940s, broadcasters have been divided as to what should be the main purpose of the medium in regard to entertainment.

On one hand, some viewers want a break from reality, so they tune in to soap operas, Western epics or science fiction programs as a way to escape from the mundanity of life.

On the other hand, however, almost as a way to rebel against the norms set in place by the aforementioned fantastical and detached-from-reality shows, some people began to yearn for something more authentic, something that accurately portrays people instead of actors, something that can show Reality.

And thus, Reality T.V was born, as a genre of programming that documents purposely unscripted real life situations, starring real everyday folks instead of professional actors. While the genre's roots can be traced back to the late 1940s, with prank shows such as "Candid Camera" in 1948 finding a niche but dedicated fanbase, reality T.V got REALLY big in the early 2000s, with shows such as Big Brother and "Survivor" gaining widespread mainstream appeal.

Aside from its authentic nature, one of the key reasons why reality T.V took off was because they contain interactive elements, drawing a studio audience and/or viewers at home directly into the program, where they play the role of respondents or judges to the activities depicted on the show (Hill 2005, p. 21).

These interactions with audience members eventually led to these reality T.V shows forming their own digital publics, online groups and forums where fans of the shows come together to discuss things that happen on the programs.

Sometimes, when these digital publics gain enough traction, they have the power to influence the original show itself, or in some cases, even more than just the show.

One of my favorite example of this is "The Ultimate Fighter" (T.U.F), a reality T.V show with the purpose of scouting out new talents for the U.F.C, the leading mixed martial arts organization in the world.

A typical T.U.F episode has everything that makes reality T.V so appealing in the first place. From the personal interviews with candidates discussing their life story, to the various conflicts and rivalry between the coaches and members from the two opposing teams.

Before the show aired, the U.F.C was in a tough spot, with most investors walking away from what was deemed a sinking ship. They had one last shot, one opportunity to seize everything they ever wanted, and make a profit out of this insane sport that was still look at as "barbaric" and "human cockfighting".

Reality television is a genre that particularly lends itself to creating dramas and stories around a combat sports (McClearen 2017). While the fights certainly helped catapult T.U.F into mainstream appeal, it was the humanization of these tough and gritty fighters through the raw footage of them living and training together before every bout that ultimately captured the heart of viewers.

Online discussion surrounding the show eventually grew so popular that T.U.F became a success overnight, and with it came a flood of new fans, eager to watch more of this new M.M.A thing that everyone was talking about. The success of this reality T.V show also meant that for the first time in a few years, the U.F.C was a profitable venture, and investors became interested again (Rothstein 2020).

They would make a miraculous comeback afterwards, and fast forward to today, the U.F.C is now one of the biggest sports entity in the world.

DPRD Buleleng Tetapkan Ranperda APBD Perubahan Buleleng TA 2023 Jadi Perda

BALIPORTALNEWS.COM, BULELENG - Melalui proses pembahasan yang cukup panjang akhirnya Rancangan Anggaran Pendapatan dan Belanja Daerah (APBD) Perubahan Kabupaten Buleleng Tahun Anggaran 2023 secara resmi ditetapkan menjadi Peraturan Daerah (Perda) oleh DPRD Kabupaten Buleleng dalam Rapat Paripurna yang berlangsung di Ruang Rapat Utama Gedung Dewan Buleleng, Rabu (27/9/2023). Penetapan dilaksanakan setelah mendapat penandatanganan persetujuan bersama antara DPRD dengan Pemerintah Daerah Kabupaten Buleleng. Dimana sebelumnya disampaikan Laporan Badan Anggaran DPRD Kabupaten Buleleng yang dibacakan oleh Ketut Ngurah Arya, serta dilanjutkan dengan penyampaian Pendapat Akhir Bupati Buleleng yang disampaikan langsung Penjabat Bupati Buleleng, Ir. I Ketut Lihadnyana, M.M.A. Dalam perubahan APBD 2023 disepakati pendapatan daerah sebesar Rp2.231.651.515.200,- mengalami peningkatan sebesar Rp119.595.947,- atau 0,01 persen dari yang direncanakan pada rancangan perubahan RAPBD 2023 sebelum persetujuan sebesar Rp2.231.531.919.253,- belanja daerah disepakati sebesar Rp2.281.577.306.986,- mengalami peningkatan sebesar Rp119.595.947,- atau 0,01 persen dari yang direncanakan pada Rancangan Perubahan APBD 2023 sebelum persetujuan sebesar Rp2.281.457. 711.039,-. Terkait Ranperda perubahan APBD tahun 2023 sebelumnya sudah mealui proses pembahasan tingkat pertama antara DPRD dengan Eksekutif. Sehingga pada tahapan akhir dalam pembahasan tingkat pertama tersebut disampaikan Pendapat Akhir Fraksi DPRD Kabupaten Buleleng terhadap Ranperda. Kala itu semua Fraksi menyatakan sepakat dan menyetujui Ranperda untuk dilanjutkan ketahapan berikutnya hingga ditetapkan menjadi Peraturan Daerah Kabupaten Buleleng. Ketua DPRD Kabupaten Buleleng, Gede Supriatna menyampaikan terima kasih dan apresiasi setinggi-tingginya kepada semua pihak. Sehingga Ranperda Perubahan APBD tahun 2023 dapat berjalan sesuai dengan tahapan pembahasan hingga ditetapkan menjadi Peraturan Daerah. Pihaknya juga menyampaikan program yang menjadi prioritas untuk Pemerintah Daerah kedepan yakni pengentasan kemiskinan ekstrim, penurunan stunting dan pengendalian inflasi. Menurutnya ketiga program tersebut akan menjadi perhatian serius di lembaga DPRD sesuai dengan tugas pokok dan fungsi lembaga Dewan pada tahun anggaran berikutnya. "Kami di DPRD tentunya sangat mendorong terkait anggaran maupun program-program yang berkaitan dengan penyelesaian ketiga permasalahan yang terus dibahas secara nasional ini. Kita akan lihat rancangan anggarannya jika kurang atau belum mencukupi maka akan didiskusikan kembali harapannya semua bisa terselesaikan," tegas Supriatna.
