What The Evans Are Like With Kids

This post pairs nicely with savanionie blanque Sauvignon Blanc, and even nicer with my existing post, What Would Evans Call Their Kids? It’s a very old post of mine so it’s short and not very detailed, but sweet nevertheless.

This wasn’t requested but I thought it’d be a cute idea, having baby fever recently :) This is my first time writing for Pietro so feel free to tell me if you hated it and I should never write for him again, still figuring things out!

Tate Langdon

-A big kid himself

-Finds things in common with them

-Always answers the toy phone when given

-Whenever you go to the park or beach together, he loves looking at kids play

-Might even help a kid build a sandcastle

-But also would be upset if the kid build a better sandcastle than him

-The type of person to pull faces at a baby if they’re in front of you at a queue

His kids -Always cuddling and kissing them, kind of needy -Absolutely always wanting to hold his kids’ hand -Tells them he loves them on a daily -Loves taking care of his kids, giving them baths or feeding them -Will complain to them about how stinky they are if he changes a diaper -Loves laying with his face on/against your belly when you’re pregnant -Because he’s so insecure, he’d hate for his kids to be insecure too so he tells them any chance he gets that they are incredible, unique, and can achieve anything

Kit Walker

-Holds their hands and spins them around

-Picks them up and throws them all the time

-Ruffles the kids’ hair

-If you go over to a friend’s house who has kids, he doesn’t mind if the kid wants to follow him around

-Kids overall love Kit, because he’s a big kid himself

His kids -Overall, the best dad ever -Cuddles them every night before bed -On a regular, he gets them ready for bed in pyjamas with teeth brushed, and then holds them on his lap on the sofa until they fall asleep, before carrying them to their own bed -The kids come crawl in bed with you and Kit in the mornings -Loves dancing and singing and being active with his kids -The most loving and protective dad ever if the kids are sick -Will drive or walk in the storm hail and snow to get your kids medicine if they need it, or even McDonalds to cheer them up

Franken Kyle

-Doesn’t like sharing his things

-Isn’t particularly patient either

-Not that bad at playing with kids every so often, but can’t take care of them since he’s a kid himself

-Silently sits with the kid of your friend and plays trains with them, making little choo choos together

-However, if the kid just gets up and walks away, Kyle will stay and play by himself fine

His kids -If you were to have kids with Franken Kyle, you would have to accept that Kyle wouldn’t be much of a help -Kyle in himself is a big toddler who has to be taken care of -You were especially scared of Kyle being aggressive and flip out around the child or that he would accidentally hurt them -But when you were giving birth (in the academy, because you couldn’t make it to the hospital since Kyle can’t drive and you’re in labour), Kyle was actually helpful -He may have not completely understood what was happening or why you were screaming and crying, but he knew you were in pain and he didn’t like it -He held your hand and stroked your hair through the whole labour, whether you wanted it or not -You held the baby first and Kyle sat by your side and just looked at them, intrigued but slightly confused -Overtime he warmed up to the baby and helped you whenever he could, going downstairs to get a bottle for you, picking up toys after the baby, eventually learning how to change a diaper with you or bottle feed them -If you breast feed, Kyle definitely wants a sippy sip too -They’re his boobs, he cannot understand why he can’t get a sippy sip of your milk -Eventually you sat him down very carefully and calmly, and got him to hold the baby -Once he starts holding and carrying the baby, you’ll have to pry that cuddle buddy out of Kyle’s hands

Jimmy Darling

-When there’s kids at the circus, he asks them if they’re strong enough to pull his fingers apart

-Picks them up and throws them up in the air just to see their parents be scared

-Never wants to scare or intimidate children, so he’ll squat when talking to them

-Will avoid showing his hands if he can, to make sure they don’t get scared

-Loves to show kids magic tricks

-Probably has sweets in his pocket just in case a kid comes to the circus

His kids -When you’re pregnant, even if you sneeze, Jimmy is full alert -Nervous as hell when you’re giving birth -Scared for you, the baby, and the baby’s hands -Relieved if they have normal hands -Apologises to you if they don’t, so you have to console him and tell him how much you love his hands regardless -Incredibly protective of his kids, wouldn’t let anybody make them feel inferior for anything different about them -His kids would be athletic like he was when he was a child -Would cling onto his leg and he’d walk around with them, pretending he’s looking for them and doesn’t see them -Puts them on his shoulders and runs around so they feel tall -But holds them extra tight -Makes lots of dad jokes and laughs at them, making his kids groan

James March

-Doesn’t really have a ‘baby voice’

-Occasionally looks after Holden or Scarlett, so they play card games and do more mature things together

-Uncle James has definitely taken Scarlett and Holden out trick or treating

His kids -Mine and James’ daughter is called April -No I do not take constructive criticism -I think he’d only want one child so they can be his whole world -Their designated place is on his hip -That type of stereotypical dad who doesn’t let his little girl near any boys whatsoever -Kills the boy who takes his teen daughter’s virginity -Reads with his kids a lot -Has dinner with them and talks to them about all sorts of things -Wants them to be wise and inquisitive -Their birthday parties take up the whole hotel

Edward Mott

-Utterly disgusted at children

-Doesn’t want them

-Doesn’t want them in his house

-Doesn’t want them near him or his incredible and sophisticated art

Kai Anderson

-Treats them like small people, so he will not talk to any child in a baby voice, though he will alter his voice a little bit and use words they can understand

-Prefers 4+ year olds so you can have an actual conversation with them

-He’d never sit and talk about how cute a baby is, but does find them very cute

-Think about when he quoted Tolstoy and Oz thought he said Toy Story, he exhaled and clearly found it cute

His kids -Likes watching Disney films and then talking to his kid about it, curious to know which character they liked, what they should’ve done instead etc -Like being sporty with his kids -In a lot of ways, he would treat his girls similarly to the way he’d treat his sons, because he’d want his girls to be strong and manly in a way -All play football together -When playing games, Kai would never let his kids win on purpose -Definitely teaches his kids how to play chess -Incredibly strict -Lies to his kids a lot and makes sure they think that everything that Kai says is the holy grail -Makes up stories and reasons as to why they have to do what he says - “Daddy why do I have to go to bed alreadyyy?” “Because it’s 8pm” “Sooooo” “Didn’t you know? It’s illegal for people under 15 to stay up past 8pm, let’s get you in pyjamas before the police comes” -Might even call Samuels to make his point stronger -The kids always fall asleep before 8 -Kai’s Preganant S/O Headcannons

Pietro

-Similarly to Kit, he likes kids and kids like him

-Probably because they’re both big kids

-Teaches them swear words and helps them to cause mischief

-Fun uncle obviously

His kids -He was probably a little scared about having a baby, but got more and more excited over time -Talks to the baby all the time and has lots of little nicknames for them -Wants them to walk ASAP -Once they’re not a newborn anymore, takes them everywhere with him -Very specific but, whenever he’s walking down the street with them, holds their hand as they walk on a wall -They’re his new little best friend so he wants to do everything with them -They help pack their own lunch and he gives them twinkies and other things they shouldn’t eat

Ozai Put his Kid in Prison (ATLA Prompt Request)(Add Ursa)

So Ozai is a huge jerk and decides that burning Zuko's face off wasn't enough when Zuko does something stupid post Agni Kai. In his fever induced state Zuko decides to go back to Ozai and tell him what a cruel person he is and how this war is unjust. Ozai is fed up with Zuko and decides to wipe his hands of him by throwing him in prison.

There are a few different ways this could go. With Zuko being in either an Earth Kingdom prison, a Fire Nation prison within the Earth kingdom(like the one Haru went to) or the Boiling Rock.

Earth Kingdom Prison:

- They hate Zuko for being the fire nation prince and they make sure to show it(they disregard the fact that he is a thirteen year old kid with a giant scar). they make his life hell in the prison because they cant take it out on Ozai.

Haru's Prison:

-Its a lot like the Earth Kingdom prison but the guards try to help him out. While Ozai has condemned Zuko he is still their prince that spoke out for them and they respect him for that. They try to help him out by giving him extra food, medicine, and stuff like that when they can, but they are limited to the kinds of things that the can do. Because even though they want to help Zuko he is still a prisoner. Which just makes the Earth kingdom prisoners mad at him for getting special treatment.(they are already mad at him for being Ozai's son). The other prisoners pick on and hurt Zuko all the time (our poor turtleduck has no prisoner friends even though he tries so hard) and while the guards try to make sure none of this happens that cant always be there to stop it.

Boiling Rock:

-Since almost everyone at the rock is fire nation Zuko ends up having an okay life( he is still in prison, but its okay). They all know how much of a bastard Ozai is and they all greatly respect their little prince for speaking up for them. So they all pitch him to help raise and protect him from the world while he is there (everyone pitches in: the guards and the prisoners). Even prisoners from other nations that find out that Zuko is the prince gradually join the Zuko protection squad. they also make sure that he still get lessons because he is a kid and he needs to learn stuff so that he can be the fire lord when they are finally able to get him out.

zuko probable becomes friends with Suki and Hakoda later and leaves with them during the prison break. (and if all the guards and prisoners are involved in orchestrating a plan to get our turtleduck out of there then who are we to judge)

And in all of them there would be a prison break and somehow or someway Zuko would end up joining the gaang.

ADD URSA

-It would be really cool if in the story Ozai had actually sent Ursa to this prison before Zuko later shows up and joins her. there they can have mother-son time and at least the prison life wont be so bad. Plus it would be kind of funny and cute. just picture putting momma Ursa into one of the story ideas I have above. It sounds like it would be fun and a catastrophe to all involved. then when the gaang break them out of prison they all would finally have adult supervision. and Sokka and Katara can finally fell a mother's love again. It would be even better if Ursa and Hakoda fall in love, get married, and brings the two families together. (zuko would finally have a happy parental couple in his life). (maybe even have Zuko fall in love with Sokka so there is a double wedding LOL)

Downsides to modern medicine

This was inspired by @rudolph-sackville-bagg. With the lovely idea!

Tony getd his wisdom teeth removed and rudolph has to watxh him.

Rudolph had been very confused about wisdom teeth. What do you mean you grow extra teeth and gotta get them removed? Then again, as a vampire he didn't really need any teeth besides his fangs.

When Tony got his wisdom teeth out, he had been warned that he may come back a bit...odd. Which is ok, modern medicine is weird anyways.

It would have been nice if someone thought to warn him about the blood in his mouth though.

Dottie was helping Tony into the castle when Rudolph flew down to greet them.

" tony your back- your bleeding!" Tony looked up at him with big puffy cheeks and blood around his lips. He stumbled forward and grabbed onto Rudolph and hugged him around his waist since he had been floating.

"You're sooo cool!" He rubbed his face into his stomach. Rudolph didn't know what to do, although he loved the affection from the mortal, the smell of his blood was not. Helping. At. All. He looked to bob and dottie for help. Only to find that they were laughing and taking a video.

" Where is tony? Did you bring home the right blonde mortal?" Bob laughed at him and nods,

" i thought we told you he would be a bit odd when he came back?"

" yes, A bit! Not...this! And you said nothing about blood!"

" did you think they would take his teeth out with magic? To remove something there will be blood. But he is a little doped up and will be for a while. Probably won't even remember all of this either."

Rudolph looked down at tony who was still rubbing his head against his stomach and gently pushed him back.

" so he will be like this for…"

Dottie chimed in " a few hours maybe, or until he gets some good sleep to get it out of his system."

Rudolph nods ," ok, i can get him to sleep. `` he pushed tony's head back away from him only to hear him whine as he did.

Dottie checked a notebook " bob and i have another errand to go too. Can you watch him?"

" His mouth is bleeding and you want me to watch him?" Rudolph's eyes widened and his mouth fell open as he looked at the thompsons. They remember he is a vampire right…?

Dottie just nods " we know you wont hurt him. Also he will need new cotton balls in his mouth soon, there should be some in the kitchen drawer by the sink. Have fun!" And they walked back out the front door into the sunlight. Stopping rudolph from getting them.

Tony waved his arms up and down as rudolph held him back away from his waist.

" let me hug you! You fit in my arms perfectly." Tony complained, blood sliding down his chin as he talked. Guess that's why he needs cotton balls.

" hey tony. How about you go to your room and I'll be right up ok…" he floated out of Tony' s reach.

Tony threw his hands down to his sides and puffed out his puffy cheeks the best he could " but I wanna play with you!"

" we can play in your room?" Rudolph was amused by this tony. He was so demanding and adorable...well he might just enjoy taking care of this tony after all.

Tony just nods " fine." He whined again. So whiny. Rudolph nodded and flew to the kitchen, finding the cotton balls easily.

Then he heard something crash, something break, and and tony scream.

Ok maybe this wouldn't be so fun.

He flew quickly to find Tony at the bottom of the stairs..he should have been halfway up them by now! Turns out he was sitting like a gargoyle on top of the end table against the wall, with a broken flower vase on the floor. Tony seemed fine but why...why was he on the table?

" Tony, I said head to your room, why did you get on the table..?" He started to pick up the pieces of broken vase. Tony pointed to the stairs upset.

" I couldn't fly so I was going to fly this way and that...whatever that is scared me!"

Rudolph couldn't help but laugh, " you can't fly Tony...i can. I will just help you, Remember."

Tony shook his head and had a determined look as he stood quickly on the end table. " no, I can fly, watch!" And he jumps off it.

It was only a 2 foot drop, but Rudolph still caught Tony quickly, dropping the broken pieces of vase back onto the floor.

"See, i can fly!" He laughed and hugged Rudolph again. Rudolph laughed a bit and tried to put Tony down on the ground.

" no, I caught you. I thought humans were smarter than this."

" I'm not a human, I'm a vampire. See! I got blood in my mouth and I can fly so I gotta be a vampire." Tony poked his cheeks and made a face " ow."

Rudolph just laughed. This tony may be a handful but he was so amusing. This was the most entertaining thing he had seen in 300 years. He took Tony's hand, flying up a bit with him.

" Let's get you to your room ok" he looks at Tony's mouth, the thought of his blood coming back to the front of his mind as he took the wiggling boy upstairs.

Rudolph made sure to lock the door, incase anyone smelled his blood. Honestly they would have probably come already if they did, but better safe than having to fight a vampire and a loopy Tony at the same time.

Tony was laying on the floor staring at the ceiling.rudolph looked at the bag of cotton balls in his hand and then at Tony's mouth...he could do this. Just take out the delicious blood covered cotton balls from the mouth of the boy he had a little more than a crush on, and put in new ones without eating him up. That wasn't too hard. Not at all.

Rudolph hated modern medicine if this is what it does to people. He has planned to just do it on the floor since tony was there and still already, but apparently tony had different plans. He looks at Rudolph and grins and hugs him again. This time putting his head over his shoulder but still snuggling him and refusing to let go. It should not be this hard to make a human let go and stay still. After chasing around tony- who was somehow convinced he was count dracula- he wrapped him up tightly in the blanket and put him on the bed. Even then Tony kept wiggling so much that Rudolph had to sit on him to keep him still so he could actually start the hard part of this.

Rudolphs hands were covered in Tony's blood and that was not helping at all. Leaning close to his face to see where the new cotton balls need to go didn't help either.

Neither did Tony leaning up and kissing his nose at random. Tony giggled and wiggled under him as Rudolph touched his nose with his blood covered fingers. Why couldn't the thompsons do this before they left. This is hell. He wiped his nose with his sleeve and took a deep breath.

" toyn can you not do that right now. Please. Any other time this would be more than welcome but not when you are bleeding so much."

He kept changing out the cotton balls until he had a small container of delectable little bitesize blood balls and Tony's mouth was full of new ones. He cleaned off his face and finally got off him and floated to the ceiling.

" I almost think you're more trouble than you're worth…."he mumbled, but of course he didn't mean that, Tony was worth all the trouble in the world.

Tony managed to free himself from the blanket and was counting his fingers, he had said six at least 12 times now.

Rudolph flew back down beside his bed and glanced at Tony. He held his thumb and nods " six…" He seems pretty distracted. Rudolph looked to the small container of used cotton balls. One wouldn't hurt. And it isn't like Tony needs them anyways. He has plenty of blood still in his mouth which is totally not tempting to just kiss him and see how much he can get from that alone.

Rudolph quickly put a cotton ball in his mouth, not noticing Tony staring at him now.

His blood was a little sweet and a little bit coppery, although the cotton ball gave it a weird texture. He hadn't eaten in a day because of the surgery, but he tended to eat more sweet things. Point was it tasted better than he dreamed.

Rudolph sighed happily and looked over at tony, who was looking between the cotton balls and rudolph. He had been caught.

Luckily tony spoke so he wouldn't have to explain.

" can we play now? You promised."

"Yes, yes we can play." Rudolph is very thankful for any other topic.

Rudolph was having fun with whatever game they were playing. He wasn't quite sure. Tony was making it up but seemed very convinced they were doing it right. Of course sometimes the game would stop when tony would hug him and not let go, not that rudolph was wanting him too.

It was during a cuddle break with tony's head against rudolph's chest as they floated that tony decided to mention agian how he was a vampire, when he is in fact, not.

" i'm the best vampire in the world. Right RuRu?" Rudolph did not care for RuRu but he learned not to fight loopy tony.

" why do you want to be a vampire so bad?" He patted his head as he looked down at his mortal.

" I never heard of a vampire and human getting married, so I gotta be a vampire so we can get married."

Rudolph fell to the floor with tony. That wasn't at all what he expected. He expected vampires to be cool or something else, not to marry him!

" t..that is..how did you. Why is that your reasoning!"

But Tony had fallen asleep. Just leave Rudolph hanging after that why don't you. Rudolph put him in bed and slid down to the floor as he ran what the drugged up kid asleep behind him said.

Did Tony actually want to marry him? Or was that the lack of teeth talking? Does tony like him back? He didn't have time to answer that because the thompsons were knocking on the bedroom door. Rudolph let them in and just nodded as he walked out past them. Neither parent bothered to ask him about the container of bloody cotton balls he was carrying.

" you mean you really don't remember anything?!" Rudolph was floating in the air above a no long as loopy tony. He had common sense now. Tony scrunched up his face as he tried to think. He looked up at Rudolph.

" i remember you ate a cotton ball from my mouth."

Rudolph could feel his face get warmer than it should ever be and shook his head " that's all? Nothing else?"

" nope. A side effect of getting my teeth removed is possible memory loss while I'm loopy. I didn't..do anything too weird did i?"

Rudolph debated telling him about what he said. About wanting to marry him.

" You thought you could fly and claimed to be count Dracula for half the day. " he floated down and booped Tony on the nose giving him a smug look. " and you kissed me right here."

Tony turned red " d..did not."

Rudolph grinned at him. " oh i think you did~"

Maybe telling Tony about what he said could wait, teasing him as much more fun.

Tybalt (Pathfinder)

he is like 17, extremely chaotic and full of hubris. Of cause he would try to fistfight god

magic tricks (not necessarily actual magic but Prestidigitation is one of his favorite actual-magic ones). He mostly uses them for pranks

anything with processed sugar. You don’t get that in a druid circle..

the mountains are not merciful. When he was 6 he ran away from his circle farther than before and got lost. The Circle managed to find him 2 days later he was very cold and hungry. He learned to respect the mountains after that

Shahkah (Pathfinder)

I thing fistfighting god would be far from her since she serves a god as a cleric but Urgathoa is slowly getting there if her minions keep killing her friends

Has a keen interest in the ancient history of osirion and languages despite having a hard time learning it.

Sugared dates on a calm evening with friends

Seeing her companions die. Leaving that house with her friend covering their escape. He got resurrected but that made the thing no less traumatizing (not to mention the friends that stayed dead). When she was helping out at her fathers hospital when she was a child she had wandered where she was not supposed to. In the ward for the most ...extreme cases she walked into the room of a dying man. He was under a lot of pain. It took her parents hours to find her afterwards. It set her on the path of a healer more than her fathers profession ever could. And she did step into their footsteps becoming an adventurer like they had been, despite using magic to heal rather than just surgeons tools and medicine.

Runa (Pathfinder)

She would punch any deity to show how much stronger mammoth spirit is

looks for goodnight stories for her brother

that steak the tiny ulfen alchemist made that day when he challenged the previously undefeated in duel princess of a rival clan to a cooking duel. When you are a barbarian warrior you don’t get that food every day

when she, her brother and some other kids were kidnapped by a witch and experimented on. She nearly froze to death and serveral children (possibly including her brother I haven’t decided yet) died. She hate witches now

Sheza (Pathfinder)

she is a priestess, but she would definitively spar verbally with a god given the chance

she is interested in engineering (she is a storyteller, priestess and diplomat. Engineering is not a typical interest for that background)

the food served at high class galas and parties she would answer. Its actually a traditional kasathan baked good. Reminds her of the fleet

She messed up an negotiation (think hostage situation) and got someone killed

Mistwalker (Elder Scrolls, Morrowind) tw: slavery

She knows cruelly beyond the lives of most. She deeply respects the hist but all other gods don't have that luxury. She wont seek them out but if they get in her way she will fight them

she likes to learn how to cook, just for herself

before she was mistwalker she was a slave on a farm in morrowind. Another slave, an old khajit looked out for her and snuck her food. He took the blame for a mistake she did (and, as she later realized, something he did to allow her later escape) and was beaten to death. She escaped soon after. In blackmarsh she became mistwalker and with the guidance of the hist she came back to Vvardenfell to wreak judgment

Lee'na (Elder Scrolls, Oblivion)

She would fistfight aedra and daedra to gain their knowledge. In fact she did fistfight Jyggalag and took his place as sheogorath, daedric prince of madness

her interest in alchemy is not that unusual but she is rater interested in the weather and the way storms form

sweetrolls

the caravan getting attacked, the portal incident that separated her from her brother and adoptive mother

sir Blade (Elder Scrolls, Oblivion)

he likes romantic poems (he is aro)

freshly baked bread, good cheese and a bottle of Surilie Brothers Wine

When his caravan was attacked by bandits. The trauma was so strong he suffers from temporary amnesia sometimes

Commander Nahrillia (Guild Wars)

She has/helped killed a god and multiple stronger than gods beings

Ganii Tal'orar (SWTOR)

She was a streetkid in nar shadaa. One day she and her girlfriend were attacked by people in dark cloaks. She was separated from her girlfriend (Kyrass. They did everything together. To be without her is to be without armor). She managed to hide and when the fight was over she looked everywhere for Kyrass. kdsldsaldsasmkdsk dsmkmdsf can i gush about like. the way i think of the dark forest for a moment because i have,,,, never comprised an entire list or anything of how i think abotu them and their relationships to one another so buckle up people this will be long and it’ll probs get 5 notes because everyone will be like “oh man there goes blaine w/ his stupid special interest characters” and ur totaly right

tigerstar - so tigerstar, by all accounts, would be considered the leader, but its not because he was exactly nominated or anything. he didnt accomplish as much as brokenstar had, he’s not the oldest in terms of the age he was before he died; he’s really only the leader because he’s the one who decided to ban others together and because he’s the most in your face about how dominant he is. he couldn’t handle someone being above him in rank and it shows. i’d like to think tigerstar has battled other cats who’ve tried to surpass him and he ruthless about it; he doesnt want to be second in command. it’s also a headache to consider even talking to him about it - brokenstar often calls him a kit or a ‘paw because not only is tigerstar much younger than him, but he acts like it. despite this, though, the members of the df who are younger in years than him and who have only heard about his poweress as a warrior admire the hell out of him. cats like snowtuft, sparrowfeather, and of course darkstripe trust him with their lives because they’re totally convinced that he knows what he’s doing and that he’s smart. the fact that he’s rather handsome still and still the best manipulator/talker there was helps, too.

mapleshade - now mapleshade to me is….not a leader. she’s not a leader anymore, she doesnt want to be. mapleshade is more of a lone wolf in my mind, but she is ruthless. she’s feared in the dark forest by everyone - including tigerstar, although he’d rather die than admit he was scared of anyone - but she has no need to become leader. she has a goal in mind of course, but she’s not interested in making friends. the only reason she’s apart of the dark forest circle is to get a means to an ends; tigerstar has a plan and a way to execute it, and mapleshade is like “well okay fine things did pick up with him here”. that doesnt mean she wont give him a hard time though; mapleshade & tigerstar respect each other as former thunderclan warriors who were powerful in their heyday, but as allies? no. mapleshade sees him as irresponsible and self absorbed, tigerstar thinks she’s lazy. the only cats who mapleshade would ever consider allies are those younger and smaller than her; sparrowfeather and darkstripe are close to her because they’re cats who need protection (she gives darkstripe a hard time tho)

brokenstar - the oldest in terms of years lived and he’s considered a huge veteran by cat standards. brokenstar is respected by the older df members (mapleshade, shredtail, clawface) who know that he’s more accomplished, decorated, and essentially more powerful than tigerstar. brokenstar doesn’t let tigerstar lead alone exactly, but he knows that tigerstar is an important ally to have; without him this wouldn’t have been accomplished. brokenstar is definitely that silent muscle of the group; he does things without telling tigerstar (killing beetlewhisker was a huge one; he did that on impulse and tigerstar was furious to not have been consulted) and he has his own chain of command par say. brokenstar is in no way afraid of tigerstar, but he’s a much weaker spirit than tigerstar is. his connection with starclan was never strong and it shows in the df; he’s fading in a faster rate than tigerstar is and it makes him angry. he’s extremely respected in the dark forest, in a way that’s different from tigerstar - it’s not out of fear or because they just have to get along with him, it’s because many cats see him as an accomplished and strong leader.

darkstripe - now darkstripe is, for all intended purposes, kind of the screw up of the group. he’s not a strong fighter and he’s not tough at all; he’s small and thin and he’s lost more battles than he’s won, in life and death. the reason he’s important? he is an excellent tracker and always has been. tigerstar told brokenstar that darkstripe can smell a drop of rabbit blood over the shadowclan border, and he almost can do just that; he’s excellent at hunting and tracking. darkstripe isn’t chosen to fight or to even train, but he’s used to scout out potential trainees all the time. he tries very hard though, he’s younger than many df members so he doesnt have the experience, but he sticks close to sparrowfeather and snowtuft and has friends in them, at least. he’s also the joker of the group alright; you can bet if theres ever a moment of seriousness, darkstripe shows up like “whaaats up with the long faces my dudes” and is promptly kicked out of the convo.

hawkfrost - now hawkfrost is the kid of the entire df. like he’s the baby and he hates it. he’s accomplished and fearsome, and he tries bossing around younger and lower ranked cats, but it doesn’t really hold weight. often when he attempts to tell snowtuft something to do, snowtuft is like “oookay” and then just laughs about it later liek really that kit is trying to be a big tough leader? hawkfrost is. well not very happy in the dark forest, nor is anyone; he knows that he failed in his plan and that the only reason he’s noticed is because of who his father is. he and tigerstar don’t,,,, talk as much as hawkfrost would like; i imagine that hawkfrost breaks his stoic character around his father, trying to get attention and some sort of affection, but tigerstar is so wrapped up in revenge plots its hard for him. many cats take pity on him for that, because it’s obvious he just wants his fathers attention; i can imagine clawface being like “hey go talk to your son for like two minutes i’ll take over this, go away”. hawkfrost is feared and respected, but he’s also the baby of the group and many think it’s sort of adorable how he tries to be a big baddy.

sparrowfeather - now sparrowfeather….has a complicated place in the dark forest. she’s not a warrior or a fighter; in life, she was actually a medicine cat. it shows in her fighting skill; she is a lot like darkstripe, having to pull stops and having to sneak her way around because she is simply not a good fighter. however, she’s respected for her medicine cat skills; she’s the only healer they have in the dark forest, and therefore her connection with the living world and her ability to get close enough to starclans border is stronger than anyone elses. she’s also as much as a joker as darkstripe; sparrowfeather has the same attitude as him, trying to make friends in a place where no one wants friends. sparrowfeather absolutely believes in making friends and allies to survive, which is why she sticks with darkstripe, snowtuft, and mapleshade so much - mapleshade is like a protector who is,,, very soft on sparrowfeather. yes mapleshade is in love with her. sparrowfeather has a tough warrior to keep her safe.

snowtuft - snowtuft is only a few moons older than hawkfrost, making him the second to youngest and it shows. he’s not tough or strong at all; he’s got this fluffy white coat and everyone takes note of it. with the older and meanest of the dark forest warriors, snowtuft is seen as a hindrance - “that white coat is going to get you killed in battle” “you can’t cake it down with mud or anything?” and he often avoids groups because he knows he’s small and can, quite literally, get stepped on. he hangs around sparrowfeather and darkstripe because, like him, they’re not very strong and the small ones got to stick together.

silverhawk - now silverhawk is not a fighter. he’s not tough; he comes from riverclan, and his silky fur and plump body show it. his reasons for being there, tho? silverhawk thinks he’s smarter than starclan themselves. he’s a little genius that one; he’s the planner of the group, and even tigerstar values his planning skills in retrospect to his. silverhawk is smart and was second in command when his leader during his lifetime used him to plan invasions of other clans. silverhawk doesn’t fight and no one forces him to, not anymore; he has his own space where he can lend tigerstar and brokenstar advice. he’s the nerd of the group and absolutely is respected for his skill.

thistleclaw - now thistleclaw has a complicated relationship in the dark forest. many younger cats respect the hell out of him for the fact that he’s tough and knows his way around a battle; he’s strong and just as much as a fighter as tigerstar and mapleshade, and he’s second oldest after brokenstar. however, it’s his relationship to tigerstar that stops him from being in a leader position; tigerstar is uncomfortable with letting his old mentor surpass him, and he can’t let himself be comfortable around him. thistleclaw doesn’t understand it, but he’s old and tired and lets tigerstar give him ideas and things to do.

shredtail - an older member of the df whose probably just as scary and ruthless as brokenstar. shredtail does not give a fuck. not even tigerstar can really control what he wants to do. shredtail is rumored to have been a warrior from shadowclan, thunderclan - no one knows for sure, who murdered warriors in their sleep. no one can confirm it, and he changes the story every time. point is? you dont want to piss of shredtail. at all. he’s not exactly a joker or light hearted, but he’s not as quiet as brokenstar or mapleshade; he intimidates others and many are scared of him because of how unpredictable he is.

mMMmmmMMM well thats what i got for now!! i am. so sorry because this is sort of embarrassing, how much effort i put into this. oh well at least You Know Now how much i think about this kind of stuff, and this is how the dark forest goes for me so YEAHH

zombie au

i wanted??? to develop the side characters more because i love them and they make me super happy when they get on screen and i went to sleep and woke up in the dead of night like. Ah. I Know.

the gist was dekapan creates a virus that mimics those weird wasp things that inject venom in caterpillars and wasps and leave them zombie-fied until they end up sacrificing themselves for the wasps babies. it works like my theory for gakkou gurashi and idk the zombies should follow their everyday routine expect that they also kill people. i’ve scrapped that idea and like, recreated how the zombies work but shhhh this part is a Super Secret.

he’s having trouble with money and! he loves science! he loves messing up and starting over and finding that one xyz fit that makes everything click how he wants to! but that costs money, and it’s money he doesnt have, so? he calls a kid he used to babysit and get along with for some help. hatabou gets him a job with a sketchy government probably trying to cure the common cold or make it impossible to burn your skin in the sun or something so of course he does the work given to him, because money is money, but the moment it gets on tv and is announced to the world dekapan calls everyone like 'hey guys dont take the vaccine something fuckys going on' and then the zombie outbreak starts and everyone gets split up and they find each other eventually after Bad Things and everyone gets fucked up about it.

people who we dont get to see pair up find each other and begrudgingly work together.

jyushimatsu and todomatsu are w matsuyo!! she has them go on a trip to the mall with her, and it’s very densely packed and a trains ride from home (jyushimatsus here to carry bags and todomatsus here bc oohhh a mall far away). the outbreak happens while theyre in the mall, and momma and todomatsu get separated from jyushimatsu for a little while -- they do find him again, and momma decks a zombie in the face. todomatsu cries. if i were to write this, i’d focus like??? 2 - 3 chapters focusing on them being in the mall, finding a group of other survivors, and then leaving the group. depending on length and my Stamina which is. not good.

next group is totoko and karamatsu!!! and. its not because of.... anything. but totoko!! if anything is really strong and i can see her carrying an iron will and inspiring other people to follow he lead and! i like the dynamic they had with that like One Interaction. idk the beginning all too well?? like how they meet up and stick together, but i have everything after that pretty clear in my head. this would be??? the second arc of the story maybe? it take a while for them to actually get along and things go Bad in the start because ahaha karamatsu is a Fuck Up, and after that karamatsu just stops trying to talk to her and just trails behind while totoko vehemently refuses to let him help her with anything. and i actually?? dont wanna say too much about this because. ITS SURPRISE. but after they start getting along karamatsu gives her a fishbone braid, and she talks about missing her brother and they do some Feelings Talk.

idk what the fuck to do with osomatsu, ichimatsu, and choromatsu??? someones learning medicine and surgery from dekapan, someones getting yelled at by chibita while hatabou mediates, and someone starts stealing things with iyami and then starts crying in the back of his van after a close call, but idk who because they all keep flip flopping positions in my head. like, at first ichimatsu was getting yelled at, but then i put him with iyami, but then im like ‘ohhh doctor ichimatsu’. then osomatsu was with chibita n hatabou, then i was like ‘but oh he and iyami have a great dyamic’. and choromatsu was with dekapan at first bt then i was :/ with that and put him with chibita. those three are hecking me up idk what to do.

the matsuno bros start up a ghost bustin company thats set up in a run down project and they’re all crowed up in a shitty apartment funded by hatabou and todomatsus part time job with equipment provided by dekapan because after high school it was decided that ‘shit lets hunt some ghost’ and everyone was like ‘yea sure.’

it was spawned by a dream i had where choromatsu and karamatsu are on a case and choros like 'k we gotta distract the ghost' and karas like 'got it' and while choros doing. whatever. karamatsu comes out in a bathrobe and sashays like 'ooh noo ;)) i sure hope no ghosts are going to get me while im naked and vulnerable ;)))' and choros like. 'who gave you permission to be such garbage.' and. oh. he did.

and then later in the day a stray thought where osomatsu and karamatsu got confronted by a ghost thats like ‘ICHIMATSU MATSUNO!!! YOU, MY ENEMY WHOVE IVE TRACED DOWN FROM BARBADOS TO THE ARAN ISLANDS TO-’ then osomatsu cuts him off like ‘bro we arent ichimatsu’ and the three of them stare at each other for ten minutes before karamatsu offers to call him for the ghost and the ghost is like ‘!!!! could you?? i mean, im still damning you both to hell but’ and then ichimatsu picks up the phone, and as soon as the ghost starts talking he expels it in 0.0000000000000000000000001 seconds.

the brothers are b-rate superheros who end up in the newspapers sometimes. iyami and chibitas That Dude who ends up in hostage situations all the time and begrudgingly drive them home and make sure they eat even though they claims to hate them. its actually.... based of the storyline for my ocs so i wont actually talk about that again. nnu9mubvufe8n.

again, they live in a shit ass project but they live right next door to each other instead of crowding in One Apartment, its two with three each. they are all actively looking for day jobs because while the government pays well they struggle being adults. but this time adults with superpowers.

like. back in the naru.to fandom there was a point where video game aus were really popular, like the whole grinding/gaining stats/unlocking new areas thing n all that and it surprisingly worked really well when written right?. so i was thinking about that and spacing out and i was like Oh Fuck. so this au got birthed. osomatsus the king, karas the knight, jyushi is a prince who gets kidnapped, ichis prince #2, choromatsus a wandering mage, n todos the royal advisor.

jyushimatsu gets kidnapped in the dead of night, and osomatsus like ‘what the flying fuck karamatsu get over here lets go get him back.’ so they leave, and have ichimatsu look after the kingdom for him. hes like 'wait what please im' and is thrust into power anyways. he and todomatsu are surprisingly competent leaders and the kingdom does really good under him, even better than with osomatsu?? though he locked himself in his room for the first week and todomatsu just kept banging on the door OPEN UP YOU FUCK YOU HAVE PAPERWORK. and its an insanely huge amount because osomatsu keeps putting it off unless someone watches him and he does all the stuff like funding the armies and expanding territories before stuff like regulating taxes and funding schools and hospitals.

jyushimatsu escapes on his own after a day n is like HMMMM HOW TO GET HOME..... but then he enters a little run down village and meets homura and falls In Love and they spend time together and he eventually just forgets to come home because hes so happy with her

meanwhile with the idiot eldest duo. karamatsu doesnt know how to fucking.... spend money so when they meet choromatsu whos like the stop n shop npc he gives him all the money he has for an enchanted pair of ankle warmers that he could put his face on and that can react to his emotions. osomatsus like ‘what the entire fuck bro’ and goes to get their money back, but then ends up spending all his money on a charm thatll increase his gambling luck.

‘we’ve been bamboozled, my dearest king. our money taken right before our eyes as a miser deceived us and robbed us of everything we’re worth,’ ‘wanna beat him up, karamatsu?’ ‘of course i do.’

choromatsus like ????? wtf its not my fault you two dont know how to spend money. but they fight, and osomatsus like ‘join our party!!’ and they take a few days to convince him but he does join and he and osomatsu hit it off really well, and osomatsu decided after everything, hes going to adopt choromatsu.

(’but we’re the same age, my king’ karamatsu says in response to his proposal.

‘FINE, then ill get mom to adopt him, geez.’

then they meet chibita and n chibita and karamatsus like ‘if youre taking choromatsu, im taking chibita in if he says yes’ and osomatsus like ‘ask mom first’)

the three of them go to the place jyushimatsu was taken to, beat everyone up, and then realize he isnt there. so they just. dejectedly walk into a nearby village for rest and chibita gives them free beer.

they meet jyshimatsu an hour later on a date with homura and yes. they decide to adopt her as a sister too. (is someone marrying into your family considered adoption?? idk but everyones family now, no excuses.)

as soon as osomatsu finds out he has troops scour the kingdom for the them, with the directions ‘there are three more people with my face, go get em’ and he sends troops out. to everyone outside the castle this is a very ?????!!!!!!!!!! thing???because the royal family has solidified themselves as Bad Selfish people who tax unfairly and dont care about the poor. like, the rich people are all like oh! i wonder what the royal family is planning theyre so good to our kingdom ha ha! while the poor people are freaking the fuck out.

the cold colors only get a brief warning about the troops coming and the first thing ichimatsu does when he hears this is go and break all the fancy plates and choromatsus like ‘wtf are you doing!!!’ and ichimatsu just looks at him like ‘i love and respect my family so im doing what i need to’ and karamatsu takes that as his cue to take his mothers valuables and hide them under the floorboards and in the walls where the stucco breaks away and choromatsu writes a note to their mom Just In Case.

they actually do get taken and theyre fucking shocked. like, instead of the royals taking everyones valuables like they expected, theyre taking them??? and the troops are no help theyre just like ‘kay go take two sets of coats and three sets of day wear’ and they have them leave straight away.

an abrupt abduction is gonna stir up shit in the village especially if they only take the boys and leave their parents and friends. imagine how paranoid they'll be. ‘oh no what if im going next' 'i hear that theyre taking our boys now and selling them off to foreign labor' 'theyre taking our children as punishment for not being able to afford tax' ‘i heard things breaking in their home what if they got taken away for resisting’

imagine all the drama and discomfort theyll feel when they see the other bros living in the lap of luxury why their friends and family suffer like :)))

its frustrating and tense for everyone because osomatsu expected them to integrate without issue. jyushimatsu doesnt understand why they get so mad at him and refuse to be his friend. todomatsu doesnt understand why all these poor people are a problem. as long as youre happy and healthy it's fine! theres no need to concern yourself with what doesnt directly affect you. if you dont see it its not happening so its best to ignore it.

ballet

osomatsu does ballet again and is happy and has found something he loves and enjoys and everyone supports him. basically, he starts feeling nostalgic and then starts watching youtube videos and goes ‘haha pah! i can do that’ and then he realizes ‘holy shit this is something i wanna spend the rest of my life doing’

sophie even wrote a fic about it and its great and every time i read it my heart pounds ten thousand times a second and i start smiling so hard my cheeks hurt.
