Your palm meets your face as you close the bedroom door to your son’s room, groaning lowly as you walk to the kitchen and sit at the bar head readying against the cool counter.

“Oi, I’m home.”

So tired and exhausted from today, your head remains where it is as he drops his bag and takes off his boots with ease by the back door. His expression instantly becomes weary when you don’t greet him with the usual smile or a hug, spotting you in the kitchen with your head on the bar. With muted steps he comes up behind you and rests a hand upon the center of your back. He doesn’t ask, he knows you’ll tell him in due time, and until you’re ready he is showing rare patience.

“Do you have any idea what your son said at school today?” You finally mumble in an exhausted whisper.

Both of his brows rise as he nibbles his lip. You’ve been trying to get him to watch his language around the little boy a lot lately but he could only hold back so much. “What?”

Raising your head, your narrowed gaze meets his red. “One kid was saying how their dad had a gun to protect their house and family, another said their father had learned martial arts… See where I’m going with this?”

“I’m a Pro Hero, we don’t need any of that crap—” Realization fills his face as a wide grin lifts his lips. “Holy shit, did he say what I think he did?!”

The tip of your finger jabs his chest as you get up in his face. “Yes, Katsuki Bakugo, your son shouted at the top of his lungs that his dad IS THE DAMN GUN! He ran around the playground at recess chanting it! I had to sit in the principal’s office for forty minutes then had to attend a school board meeting for three hours explaining your Pro Hero status, how our home is perfectly safe for our son—don’t you dare fucking laugh, Katsuki, or I swear—!”

The rest of your rant is cutoff by him covering your mouth with the palm of his hand, a smirk playing on his lips as he presses you against the counter. “Now, what was that new rule you made up? Anytime a curse word passes over someone’s lips in this house there’s a punishment?” He leans forward and whispers lowly, his warm breath tickling the shell of your ear.

“Let go of Mama, old man!”

A laugh slips up your throat when the Pro Hero husband of yours suddenly drops to a knee thanks to the small figure who had magically appeared in the kitchen who delivered a well-practiced heel kick to the back of Katsuki’s knee to make him lose balance. Your arms cross as you watch with a smirk as man gives chase to the small boy who now runs with the air filling with small explosions that wouldn’t hurt a fly but would only add to their little game.

Katsuki’s infant daughter, Mirai, is so adorable with her blonde hair sticking up but also having a bit of waves. She has so many of your features but there are obvious hints of her personality that are indisputably his. He is so damn proud but such a sucker!

Ask how the family is doing? BAM! Shoves a picture of his girls into their face!

Even if you don’t, they will be minding their own business and suddenly…BAM, his wallet photo of you and her are in their face.

“LOOK AT THEM! THEY’RE MINE, YOU DAMN DUMBASS! BUT I’M GONNA LET YOU GET A PEEK AT THEIR CUTENESS!”

He will be out in patrol, having the worst of days, but then the look on his face when he gets your text of a picture of her and you matching outfits…

Kirishima and Deku both raise their brows when the blond hero suddenly turns away and starts to tremble. When they ask what’s up, he simply glares daggers at them as if their question had pissed him off but in reality he’s trying his hardest not to shove the phone into their faces. “SHUT THE HELL UP, YOU TWO! IT’S NONE OF YOUR DAMN—” Katsuki pauses mid-rant when receiving another text from you and chokes when seeing you two posing with mirror tongues sticking out at the camera. “—DAMNIT!”

Todoroki, during some paperwork at the agency, glances up when hearing a sudden explosion from the office nearby. He didn’t have to guess or go investigate because it’s followed by a loud “HOW ARE THEY SO DAMN CUTE?!”

Denki is one of the few who are lucky enough to witness a small lunch date when you stop by with the little firecracker and manages to record when Katsuki kisses Mirai’s little cheeks, earning smirks from the baby, then groans from the Pro Hero when he’s too slow to see them for himself. “WHY THE HELL DOES SHE KEEP HIDING HER SMILES FROM ME?!” The way she teases her daddy by hiding those smiles and smirks from him is pure gold! And she knew exactly what it was doing to Katsuki because she was never without a smirk whenever her daddy was fuming with a pout or his back was turned.

Even when she gets a little older, she still has that teasing tendency with him. He will be out on patrol, seeing her preschool and decides to take a quick pit stop to peek in the play yard where she is, and when she catches him Mirai’s smile vanishes despite her friends being all excited to see the Pro Hero. “WHAT THE HELL?! WHY WON’T YOU FREAKING SMILE FOR ME?!” He fumes, his red eyes meeting her gaze as he towers over her. “SMILE. FOR. ME!”

She finally cracks a big grin up at him when you three are snuggling on the couch one day after years of her keeping up this little game of hers, her little hands playfully grabbing his cheeks and giving them a wiggle. And it’s so precious he can’t even believe he’s seeing it his eyes are so wide. “Love you, Daddy Dumbass!”

You’re so busy laughing that you are crying as he can’t even respond to his daughter’s words.
