I have the vod if she doesnt post it, but Hannah was ranting about getting cancelled on twitter and how no one will ever be happy. She was talking about how she liked a tweet about elmo and fortnite (connor's) tweet and how she's now cancelled. Basically calling out the people who are watching her twitter likes. Then her mods and chat are talking about dream while she's saying all this.
Then talks about in 2021 these people would cancel her and then she started being friends with the creators they watch and these stans switched up on her. She says the whole time she remembers the people who talked shit about her suddenly switch up. And now she says it's the same thing but backwards. And that's where the chatter says "that's why there were 3 women in the dsmp" comes in. Hannah herself didn't say anything about the dsmp. This is all she said, just ranted for 10 mins about twitter.
Her mod's messages (redacted the usernames just in case):
19:00 : well that one's because dream stans have literal shit for brains but what can ya do 19:03 : dream was one sidedly beefing with him on his priv ceeluvsu 19:04 : yeah and then dream continued to write a 7 page mla format essay about him emmaaaaaaaa8 LMAO

Mark Wootton and his wife, Eve Kantor, were the carbon-neutral pioneers of Australia’s red meat industry.
Years before the Paris agreement to keep global heating below 1.5C, and a decade before the Australian government committed to reaching net zero emissions, their family farm in south-western Victoria was declared carbon-neutral.
“In the early 2010s we were pretty cocky that we had conquered this thing,” Wootton says. “We thought we’d cracked the formula.”
Jigsaw Farms, a mosaic of lush pastures, eucalypt plantations, wildlife corridors and wetlands about 250km west of Melbourne, near the town of Hamilton, was the envy of the industry. It was lionised by the media, a favoured photo opportunity by politicians and held up by the red meat sector as a vision of the future.
The farm’s carbon-rich soils, 20% of which were forested, sequestered enough CO2 to offset its annual emissions from wool, lamb and beef production.
Or at least it did. The latest report tracking Jigsaw’s emissions, which is now undergoing peer review, confirmed that since about 2017 – the same year the industry body Meat and Livestock Australia (MLA) announced a target of net zero emissions by 2030 – Jigsaw Farms has been emitting more greenhouse gases than it could sequester.
“Cows and sheep are still there producing the same amount of methane [every year], but the trees grow up and carbon sequestration slows down,” says the report author, Prof Richard Eckard.
Eckard is an agricultural economist and the director of the school of agriculture, food and ecosystem sciences at the University of Melbourne. He became involved in measuring Jigsaw’s emissions a decade ago.
The 3,378-hectare farm spans six titles, bought by Wootton and Kantor between 1996 and 2003. Hardwood timber plantations cover 295 hectares, 24 hectares is remnant forest and a further 268 hectares are set aside for biodiversity. It hosts a fine wool merino operation with about 20,000 ewes, and 550 head of cattle.
Initially, the hundreds and thousands of trees they planted, combined with a switch to perennial grasses, significantly increased the amount of carbon sequestered on the property.
But those trees have now matured and passed peak sequestration, meaning they absorb less C02 year-on-year, and the soil is so carbon rich it can’t sequester any additional C02 from the atmosphere.
“Ten years later it all slows down because carbon saturation,” Eckard says. “It’s just the law of diminishing returns.”
The latest Jigsaw study estimated that in 2021, the farm sequestered 70.3% to 83.2% of its annual emissions. By 2031, as the farm’s forests grow older, models predict it will absorb just over half of what it did when carbon sequestration peaked in 2012.
The dilemma Jigsaw now faces reflects the broader challenge of decarbonising Australia’s red meat industry, Eckard says.
The industry claims it has reduced its emissions by 65% compared with 2005 levels, but this reduction relies on recorded decreases in deforestation and increases in forest regrowth, which some analysis suggests is overstated.
“Carbon sequestration through forestry is a short-term buy out of trouble,” Eckard says. “You can plant your way out of trouble and, like Jigsaw, get seven years of net zero, but ultimately, unless you do something about the methane, you’re not going to stay net zero.”
Climate neutrality v the ‘seaweed solution’
Other efforts to reduce the industry’s carbon footprint have focused on attempting to reduce the amount of methane expelled from the rumen, which accounts for 80% of the sector’s emissions. MLA has put more than $180m towards the problem, with no solution forthcoming. The results from the longest running commercial trial of a seaweed cow-feed, which aimed to cut methane by more than 80%, were lacklustre.
Selective breeding and dietary changes can help, says Eckard, but it’s slow going.
“It took the animal 50m years to evolve to produce meat and eat grass the way it does,” he says. “That can’t be overcome in three-year funding rounds.”
But he says that if producers adopt current best practices that will reduce their emissions intensity per kilogram of meat produced while research finds the “seaweed solution”.
On Jigsaw Farms, high reproductive rates, fast-growing livestock due to genetic selection and ample feed, and grazing stock at double the density of other farms in the district helps reduce the emissions that go into producing each animal.
“If that lamb or calf grows faster, so it gets to market quicker, so it grows faster, so, to be brutal, it can die and be eaten – your carbon intensity is dropping,” Wootton says.
This allows Jigsaw to sell its wool, lamb and beef at a premium in a market that is increasingly looking for farmers who can demonstrate strong environmental credentials.
This is particularly important for the export-focused Australian market, Eckard says. Seventy per cent of Australian-grown beef is sold into global supply chains ruled by international corporations, all of whom have net zero targets.
That’s the impetus behind the MLA’s “world leading” net zero target. This month Guardian Australia reported that the industry body described the target as “aligning the industry” towards improvement and said it did not need to be met, though it remains committed to the goal. Environmental scientists say reporting on the goal is based on unreliable land clearing data.
David Jochinke, the president of the National Farmers Federation, says the target is about the “aspiration” towards decarbonisation.
“We’ve always said at the NFF, we’re not going to reduce production in an attempt to get to net zero,” he says. “Will we make it? I’m not really sure, but we are going to give it a red hot go.”
A 2023 CSIRO report found the industry would fall short of the net zero goal and recommended a “climate-neutral” target be adopted instead, which would theoretically be achieved by reaching a point where the sector no longer causes any additional warming to the planet.
Australia’s peak cattle body, Cattle Australia, has also called for a shift to climate neutrality. But both Eckard and Wootton say the industry shouldn’t change course.
“I fear that if the industry fiddled with the metric what they would be effectively saying is ‘methane is no longer an issue so we don’t have to worry about it’,” Eckard says.
The director of the Australian National University Institute for Climate, Energy and Disaster Solutions, Mark Howden, says that unachievable or “false [climate] targets” are ineffective and can alienate both industries and the public.
He says the red meat sector’s goal is “in a sense the wrong target”. “We do need to go net zero in terms of C02, but in the case of methane we need to reduce it by about two-thirds in the long term to effectively meet the Paris agreement,” he says.
Wootton says the benefits of their regenerative approach to farming persist even if the farm’s carbon accounts are now in the red.
They did not initially set out to be carbon-neutral. The timber plantations were established on Jigsaw Farms to offer an alternative source of income. They planted permanent native vegetation to encourage biodiversity and shelter belts to protect livestock, and dug deep dams so they would always have a secure water supply.
A bird survey in 1996 found 46 bird species on the land. Today, there are 174. The land is healthier – that is, ironically, why carbon sequestration has stabilised.
“People come to us and go, shit, if they can’t go carbon-neutral, what does that mean for us,” Wootton says.
“It means you’ll have to do some of what we’ve done, do things differently from what we’ve done, and do some other things that we don’t even know we can do yet.
“There’s no silver bullet here, but there’s some silver buckshot, hopefully.”

How would one cite a statistic that’s constantly changing from a website without a clear author? That is to say, the number of fics under a specific fandom tag on AO3 for a few different fandoms as one of my many example of direct fan engagement with the fandom?
Fanfic citation anon here- to clarify, it’s mla format, unfortunately
Hmm. First of all, you'd have to create a citation for AO3 itself. If you were using, say, the "Shadow and Bone (TV)" tag as your specific fandom, which I have picked solely because it's the one I am writing in right now, it would appear in the "Works Cited" list at the end of your paper like this:
Organization for Transformative Works. “Archive Of Our Own - Shadow and Bone (TV).” Archive of Our Own, archiveofourown.org/tags/Shadow%20and%20Bone%20(TV)/works. Accessed 15 May 2023.
In other words, you would use "Organization for Transformative Works" as your author (hence alphabetizing this entry under the "O"s), the fandom tag title as your title, and "Archive of Our Own" as your publication. In this context, "access date" is probably the most crucial part of your citation, because you will have to acknowledge that this is a constantly updating archive sourced from a number of different individual contributors. It's also tricky because you don't have specific page numbers, and even if you did, they would get quickly replaced as new content was posted. So you might write something like this:
"As of May 15, 2023, the Shadow and Bone (TV) tag on Archive of Our Own contained 9,012 entries (Shadow and Bone (TV), online). After the second season of the show arrived on Netflix on March 16, 2023, there were [however many] new entries added, especially in [tags, relationships, whatever other statistics you're looking at]. This represented an increase over [however many] entries posted since the first season's premiere in April 2021. Because of the archive's function as a collaborative online library that is constantly updated and contributed to by multiple individual users, these numbers are fluid and subject to change, but represent a rough overall aggregate of content and trends."
That way you provide a brief breakdown of your content source and how it works, you give some overall numbers about what you're looking at and how they've increased over a specific timeframe, and you point out that the exact accuracy of your figures may fluctuate since people are constantly contributing to the page and adding more stuff. You would most likely use "online" instead of a direct page number, since those are subject to change on internet pages anyway. And since you might have multiple citations with "Organization for Transformative Works" as the primary author, if you're looking at several different fandoms, you would use the fandom tag title for more specificity in your in-text citation.
Hopefully that makes sense, and good luck with your paper!

Working Bibliography
This is a (currently incomplete) inventory of the sources I'm pulling from when researching material for Counter/Feint. It will be divided into three sections: General References (for things like sewage treatment, state laws, tax codes, white collar crime, etc), Original Media (for comics, episodes, movies etc), and In-Line References/Allusions (for when a character's narration makes a literary allusion, uses jargon, or directly quotes a line from part of the source material)
some of them will be in MLA format and some won't because i am prone to arbitrary whims

Original Media
Superman: The Animated Series- "World's Finest" - This one started the whole exercise because I thought it was hysterical that Lois had dated Bruce/ found out he was Batman WAY before she learnt anything about Superman's identity. Hilarious.
Superman: TAS- "The Late Mr. Kent"- This one's important to me and my characterization of Clark for about one million separate reasons
Batman: TAS- All of it
Batman #177- notable for Bruce Wayne's love of cubist expressionism and also the character of Roy Rennie who shows up here and never again. He wants to be the Alfred Foundation's publicist so, so, so bad. I have realized his dream
chapter 2 edit: this is also where the Lathrop Gallery comes from! In the comics, the Lathrop Gallery received an endowment from the Alfred foundation
Fraction, Matt, et al. Superman's Pal, Jimmy Olsen: Who Killed Jimmy Olsen? DC Comics, 2020.- This is in MLA again because it's physically in front of me. It has a profound impact on my characterization, especially Lois's. Her disdain for conspiracy theories and insistence on using the term 'sociogram' over 'conspiracy board' comes from this. It's also the origin of Janie Olsen
Superboy (1949)- I think it's funny to pick and choose elements from this and incorporate it into Clark's backstory arbitrarily. I also think it's funny that I first wrote the line about Clark wanting to kiss Superman if he hadn't BEEN superman before i started reading Superboy because guess what. He forgets he's superboy constantly. and what does he immediately do. Start sighing over superboy. I am SO good at comics
Superboy #85- Especially notable for the appearance of Mightyboy! "Who is Mightyboy?" you might ask. As well you should, since he appeared once in 1960 and never again. However!!!! This is a surprise tool which will help us later because he lives in my brain and also Clark's backstory
World's Finest #285-288- There's just. A lot to unpack here. But I sure have incorporated it into characterization and quirks! Still undecided on if I want Clark to have super hypnosis or not because I think it would be characterful for him to have it and not use it. and also it's extremely stupid as a concept and i love stupid. but also i hate hypnosis
World's Finest #84- Spoiler for the fic, but this premise was so hilarious to me that I immediately decided to replicate it, but with a twist that is typical of my ethos: making bruce step directly onto a rake
Ironically enough, a similar story was presented in Adventure Comics #275, but again. It does not make Bruce step on enough rakes for my taste. Still works as inspiration though!
Superman Annual #11- For the man who has everything. I love this one so so so so much. It greatly informs my understanding and portrayal of Superman, but also it's just a really tight narrative. Also!!! Jason Robin is there!!! Every day I regret placing this fic on a timeline that doesn't align with Jason making an appearance. Lad of all time.
Also important from Superman Annual #11 is the imagery of Batman pathetically presenting a designer rose he had commissioned special for his boy bestie, only for it to be crushed underfoot in the wake of a battle. now there's some symbolism. there's some pathos. there's some grade a pathetic bruce-isms.
Yang, Gene Luen, and Janice Chiang. Superman Smashes the Klan: The Graphic Novel. DC Comics, 2020. - Absolutely phenomenal work that digs into the diaspora elements of Superman's narrative and grapples with The American Ideal, racism, and what it means to stand for your community against violent bigotry. Also the art is soooo charming. I reference this one a bunch because I love it. It's got everything I love about Superman
There's way more to add but I'm tired and this is a working bibliography. I promise more will come
In-Line References/Allusions
Because comics are the way they are, I wanted to make this fic feel like it existed in a bunch of overlapping time periods all at once.
This means that instead of refraining from making references to broader pop culture like I do with other fics, I'm leaning into them instead. Therefore, some of these are going to be deliberate references that I thought would be characterful. Especially since Lois and Clark are reporters, and Jimmy and Bruce went to fancy schools for fancy little lads
"You're killing me, Smalls"- A famous line from The Sandlot (1993). I am unable to resist the pull of low-hanging fruit
"he could always depend on the kindness of strangers"- semi-ironic deployment of a line from A Streetcar Named Desire. on one hand, Clark genuinely trusts in and relies on mankind's desire to do right by each other. on the other, he thinks bruce wayne is a complete and utter tool here. he's being a bit tongue in cheek about how he's relying on a jackass to help him out
"the pale blue light of a sympathetic moon" is from The Drowsy Chaperone. It's such an evocative phrase. I think Clark would enjoy musicals
"Saint Laurent"- Listen. I read fashion blogs for this. I asked my friends who lose their minds over fashion on the regular. I looked through ready to wear collections and slide shows. And while I want to have faith in the Bruce Wayne that lives in my head and nowhere else, I understand that the search for an ethical designer label is a fruitless one. All I can do is say "in this universe, YSL was never acquired by Gucci, and yet it still, inexpicably, has the insufferable ready to wear collection that includes the ugly fucking gentrified rodeo wear."
also a lot of the outfits look like they're designed for haunted little victorian boys. which. [gestures at him]
"Dorothy [...] you're not in Kansas anymore"- I think this one's obvious, but it's a Wizard of Oz reference
“Is there a ‘c’ in ‘absence’?”- Lois's habit of frequently misspelling words comes up in a lot of adaptations and runs, and I think it's incredibly charming
"There better be a thirty on your buyback piece!"- Traditionally, -30- marks the end of copy that's been submitted for editing
Backfielding- Another term for conducting line edits
Ron Troupe- Political analyst for the daily planet. In comics, he was introduced RIGHT before Superman died but I'm playing calvinball here and I like him :) so
Adam Grant- Cat's son! I'm not killing him off, unlike the comics. There's a lot re: The Toyman where i'm just. y'know. i'm just not gonna. look. at whatever's going on there. So it goes with comics
"the gentle way the strongman had spoken to him, telling him about the disarming power of a silly costume, the way performance became its own kind of strength"- referencing a sequence from Superman Smashes the Klan. This will not be the last time
Lan-Shin Lee- For instance, Lan-Shin is from Superman Smashes the Klan! At the end of the original work, she becomes a cub reporter
Carmine Falcone- I still have never read a frank miller comic and you can't make me. but i will steal the occasional character. for flavor. anyway he's either one of the biggest or the biggest ringleader of organized crime in Gotham, depending on the run and adaptation
“While discontinuous in action, perceived surveillance—”- Bruce is paraphrasing a bit of Discipline & Punish here, specifically the part about panopticism
“Have you tried committing a felony?”- This line comes directly from the World's Finest episodes of Superman: the animated series that first inspired this fic
Superman Signal Watch- this one's a classic. As seen in Superman's Pal Jimmy Olsen, the watch works just as the fic describes

'Nobody can live on that': Anti-poverty group disappointed with N.B. budget
An anti-poverty group in New Brunswick is disappointed with what it saw in Tuesday’s budget.
Organizers with the New Brunswick Common Front for Social Justice say they were let down by what they called a meagre raise to social assistance rates in the province.
Janelle LeBlanc, the provincial coordinator for the organization, said the extra $40 a month the Higgs government is pledging for people living on social assistance is nowhere near enough to cover the rising cost of living.
“In 2021, the social assistance rates in New Brunswick were the lowest in Canada and they are still some of the lowest in Canada,” said LeBlanc in an interview Wednesday.
“People who are deemed employable get $593 a month and people with disabilities get $792. Nobody can live on that. It’s under the poverty line. They live in extreme poverty.”
She says her group has been asking for social assistance rates to be raised to the poverty line.
“We were hoping that they would be raised a few hundred dollars, at least, and not just based on CPI [Consumer Price Index].”
The Higgs government tabled a $12.2-billion budget Tuesday that forecasts a small surplus and promises a funding boost to help stabilize the hurting health-care sector.
In a news release sent Wednesday, New Brunswick Common Front for Social Justice Community Co-chair Robert MacKay said people living on social assistance can't hold their heads above water.
“While the rates are indexed to the Consumer Price Index, it is not enough to cover basic necessities,” said MacKay.
The organization was also disappointed about the lack of investment in affordable housing.
LeBlanc said they expected the budget to have funding for additional social housing units because the waiting list for public housing has doubled between 2020 and 2022.
“Last fall, they made an announcement that we would get 380 social housing units. It’s the first time in 40 years the government is actually investing in social housing. That’s a great first step. We were just hoping to have extra investments in building social housing units,” said LeBlanc.
LeBlanc believes the lack of measures to help with the soaring cost of living is a big concern.
“I know some other groups are content with what’s in the budget, but for us, for poverty, there’s no permanent solutions to answer any of the social problems we have today,” she said.
“We’re disappointed. We’re going to continue working, continue meeting with ministers, continue meeting with MLAs and continue submitting documents to the government and organizing actions.”
LeBlanc called the budget a “missed opportunity” to introduce higher taxes on the super-wealthy and to improve living conditions for people struggling with day-to-day expenses.

A federal consumer watchdog group has fined one Georgia-based company $15 million for predatory lending practices. TitleMax, which is headquartered in Savannah, offers short-term loans — at exorbitant interest rates — in exchange for a lien on the title of the borrower’s car.
In its order, the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau said TitleMax had intentionally evaded laws meant to protect military families from predatory lenders and, separately, charged illegal insurance fees to more than 17,000 customers.
The federal regulator found that the company used deceptive means, including falsifying information, to issue 2,670 so-called title loans over a five-year period to military members or their dependents in violation of the Military Lending Act and in contravention of the company’s own internal guidelines.
The operations of TitleMax, the nation’s largest title lender and the dominant industry player in Georgia, have been the subject of a yearlong investigation by The Current and ProPublica. The news organizations revealed for the first time the scope and scale of the industry in the state. The stories also revealed TitleMax’s questionable practices in Georgia, which has one of the most permissive local regulatory environments for the title lending industry. Due to a loophole in state law, title lenders there are allowed to charge triple-digit interest rates that would be illegal for any other financial lender.
The 53-page CFPB Consent Order repeatedly castigated the company for a lack of meaningful internal oversight in its pursuit of revenue. Federal law caps annual interest rates at 36% for financial products sold to military members and their families. TitleMax, which counts more than 293,000 customers nationwide and posted $910 million in revenue in 2019, emphasizes in its own internal training manuals that employees should not lend to service members.
But the company did anyway. Between Oct. 3, 2016, and Sept. 17, 2021, the CFPB said, the company sold 2,670 loans to military members and their families, sometimes by falsifying personal information of the borrower to conceal the fact that they were a military member or a dependent covered by the Military Lending Act. The company lacked internal controls to catch or stop such behavior, according to the consent order.
“TitleMax’s violations were caused by intentional misconduct, a lack of internal and system controls, and no meaningful monitoring or oversight,” the consent order said. “TitleMax did not conduct any periodic monitoring or audits of its origination activity to ensure compliance with the MLA, allowing intentional misconduct and problematic practices to go unchecked.”

Wrath of the Wraith
Wrath of the Wraith by Anon9876
They did it. They won. They arrested a dozen MLA members, they seized a stockpile of illegal support weapons, and who knew what documents they'd find in the warehouse. Maybe this raid would be the beginning of the final push to rid Japan of the MLA. But Ochaco wasn't celebrating. She only had one thing on her mind. Who the hell was this Wraith guy, and how has nobody heard of him?

PEOPLE GEETING CAUGHT FOR DUMPING GARBAGE
Empty spaces and vacant spaces in the city are garbage dumping spots, affecting the nearby neighborhoods. Those who live nearby complain of stretch and mosquitoes.
The residents of green apple apartments in Mariyanapalya Hebbal have experienced the same. The small vacant site next to the apartment has become a garbage dump over the years. The place had a lot of mosquitoes and rats that had affected the residents. Those who lived facing the site have been affected the most. One of the residents said, “it was a nightmare living near the site. We couldn’t open our windows and balcony for a long time because of the bad stench, garbage smell, and mosquitoes. During Covid lockdown, it has become more horrible.”
The kids couldn’t play near the site, especially during the evening after 6 pm, because of mosquitoes.
Tumblr media
The patricians who walked near the site were bothered, and some houses and apartments were also disturbed.
The residents complained that the problem was brought to the notice of the site’s landlord, but there was no response. The apartment manager said, “the garbage dumping was from months but had had severe after corona lockdown. We had put a pluck yard, but the people dumped the garbage. Recently many tenets shifted because of the increasing smelling and mosquitoes from the site.”
At the end of October 2021,  The manager and residents addressed this problem to Byatarayanapura MLA Krishna Byre Gowda. The MLA  said the BBMP officials to look into the matter. The BBMP supervisor ____ had the residents that will keep marshals for two days for surveillance. During the two days, the martian observed and took photos.

They were fined Rs 1000and booked under Indian Penal Code (IPC) Section 269 (Negligent act likely to spread infection of disease dangerous to life) and Section 283 (Danger or obstruction in public way or line of navigation). The owner of the vacant site was fined Rs 1 lakh for
The residents also, after this, cleaned up the site.
Many people have been booked "Red-handed" by the Bengaluru police for committing the crime. The drive has covered Indra Nagar, K.G. Halli, D.J. Halli, Bharati Nagar, Pulakesh Nagar, Jaya Nagar, and many more.
A senior BBMP officer said, "This is a common practice in the city. If there is an empty space or a vacant residential plot, people start throwing garbage. This was brought to our notice, and we have decided to start penalizing the landowner for not maintaining the place." He added that the owner's duty has to keep the empty plot clean and free from the garbage.

N Chandrababu Naidu's Vision for Kurnool: A Testament to TDP's Growth
Former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh and Telugu Desam Party (TDP) supremo, N Chandrababu Naidu, has left an indelible mark on the state's development, particularly in the realm of infrastructure and transportation. One of the noteworthy achievements under his leadership is the establishment of the Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy Airport, commonly known as Kurnool Airport.
the government initiated the construction of Kurnool Airport, with the foundation stone laid in June 2017. Remarkably, the airport was completed in a record time of two years, costing ₹153 crores (US$19 million). This swift construction pace underscores the TDP government's commitment to providing state-of-the-art infrastructure.
Tumblr media
Kurnool Airport, situated in Orvakal, Kurnool district, stands as a testament to Nara Chandrababu Naidu's commitment to improving connectivity, especially in remote areas. The airport's commercial operations commenced in March 2021 after extensive trial runs and regulatory clearances. This not only improved transportation but also catalysed economic growth, generating employment opportunities for the local population. N Chandrababu Naidu's TDP government, during its tenure, was dedicated to the holistic development of Andhra Pradesh. The party focused on enhancing infrastructure and transportation facilities, making the state an attractive hub for investments and industrial growth. The proactive efforts of TDP MLAs and TDP MPs played a pivotal role in creating a favourable business environment, attracting various companies to establish their operations, and thereby boosting employment opportunities.
Kurnool Airport is not the sole accomplishment in the TDP government's aviation portfolio. The regime, under N Chandrababu Naidu's leadership, spearheaded the construction of several airports in the state. These initiatives were aimed at fostering economic development, improving connectivity, and positioning Andhra Pradesh as a key player in the aviation sector. Kurnool Airport is poised to play a significant role in the future development of Andhra Pradesh. It is expected to enhance connectivity between different regions, benefitting both the local population and tourists. The airport's contribution to the growth of the aviation industry will provide new opportunities for businesses to expand their operations, furthering the state's economic prosperity.  For the latest updates on TDP's initiatives, top achievements, and political news, interested individuals can visit the TDP's official website. This platform serves as a valuable resource to stay informed about the party's contributions to the state's progress.
N Chandrababu Naidu's unwavering commitment to improving infrastructure and transportation facilities in Andhra Pradesh has resulted in the establishment of Kurnool Airport. This achievement reflects the TDP government's broader efforts to create a conducive business environment, attract investments, and facilitate overall development. The construction of Kurnool Airport marks a significant milestone in the history of Andhra Pradesh's aviation sector, underscoring the transformative impact of visionary leadership and strategic governance.

Jitendra Kumar Tiwari: The Controversial Political Journey
Jitendra Kumar Tiwari, a prominent political figure from Asansol in West Bengal, has recently found himself embroiled in controversy once again. Formerly associated with the Trinamool Congress (TMC) and now a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Tiwari's political trajectory has been marked by significant ups and downs.
Tumblr media
Tiwari's latest controversy stems from allegations made by the TMC, accusing him of meeting a National Investigation Agency (NIA) officer to conspire against TMC leaders in exchange for money. These claims have been vehemently denied by Tiwari and the BJP.
Born in Asansol, Tiwari began his political career in 2006 with the TMC, contesting his first Assembly election from Raniganj. Over the years, he held various positions within the TMC, including mayor of the Asansol Municipal Corporation and TMC MLA from Pandabeswar. Tiwari's fluency in Hindi proved advantageous in Asansol, a region with a significant Hindi-speaking population.
In 2021, Tiwari switched allegiance to the BJP amid internal disputes within the TMC. He contested the Assembly elections on a BJP ticket but faced defeat. Despite this setback, Tiwari remains a key figure in Asansol politics, especially considering the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
Recent events have further intensified speculation around Tiwari's role in the BJP's electoral strategy for Asansol. With the BJP yet to announce its candidate for the seat, Tiwari's name is circulating as a potential contender due to his local roots and Hindi-speaking background.
Amidst the unfolding political drama, Tiwari has threatened to file a defamation suit against those making allegations against him. He remains steadfast in his commitment to the BJP's cause in Asansol, emphasizing the electorate's support for Prime Minister Narendra Modi regardless of the candidate.
The unfolding narrative surrounding Jitendra Kumar Tiwari underscores the complex dynamics of regional politics and the evolving landscape of West Bengal's political arena.

COVID-19 naming
ADD ARTICLE DESCRIPTION
During the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic, the disease and virus were sometimes called "coronavirus", "Wuhan coronavirus", or "Wuhan pneumonia".
In January 2020, the World Health Organization (WHO) tentatively named it "2019-nCoV", short for "2019 Novel Coronavirus", or "2019 Novel Coronavirus Acute Respiratory Disease". This naming was based on the organization's 2015 guidelines for naming novel viruses and diseases, avoiding the use of geographic locations (such as Wuhan), in part to prevent social stigma. A similar structure has also been used by the AP when referring to virus variants, for example, referring to it as the "Delta variant" rather than the "South African variant".
On 11 February 2020, the WHO named the disease COVID-19 (short for coronavirus disease 2019). That same day, the International Committee on Taxonomy of Viruses (ICTV) formally announced it had named the causative virus as SARS-CoV-2 (severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2) based upon its genetic similarity to the 2003 SARS-CoV. The separation between the disease and the causative virus is based on the same nomenclature policies that separate AIDS and the virus which causes it, HIV.
WHO Director General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus explained that CO stands for coronavirus, VI for virus, and D stands for disease, while 19 stands for the year, 2019, that the outbreak was first detected. As such, there has never been a "COVID-1" or any other "COVID-" series disease with a number below 19.
Chinese virus
From January to March 2020, US President Donald Trump repeatedly described the virus as the "Chinese virus". In March 2020, the president claimed to have abandoned the term, telling Fox News "we shouldn't make any more of a big deal out of it". On March 18 and 19, 2020, Trump twice defended using the term "Chinese virus" amid instances of bigotry against Asians in the United States. Trump referred to it as "the China Virus" at least as late as January 2021.
This description was also used by members of the Spanish far-right political party Vox, especially by its leader Santiago Abascal in March 2020.
CCP virus
The Epoch Times has reportedly funded right-wing groups promoting the use of the term "CCP virus" to lay blame on the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) for the pandemic. Chinese-born New Zealand sculptor Chen Weiming created a 20-foot statue in Liberty Sculpture Park in Yermo, California, depicting Chinese leader and CCP general secretary Xi Jinping with spike proteins as his hair, naming it "CCP virus".
Stylization
Stylization of the term has varied since the virus's and disease's discovery. The World Health Organization (WHO) stylizes the disease as COVID-19 with all letters capitalized and many other organizations have followed their lead. The AP Stylebook, Chicago Manual of Style, and the Modern Language Association (MLA) have styled it similarly. Several observers have noted the importance of proper stylization, despite the seeming ridiculousness of worrying over such matters "at a time like this" (during the early days of the pandemic), recalling the confusion and prejudice which resulted from unclear or inconsistent naming as was the case with AIDS (which was called GRID/HTLV-III/LAV at various times) and non-A, non-B Hepatitis. They have also pointed out that future researchers will benefit from consistency when reviewing past data and research.
However, stylization as "Covid-19" has become common as well. Numerous news sources including The New York Times, CNN, Politico, The Wall Street Journal, NBCNews have presented the term with a capital C but all other letters as lower case. As a result, use of "Covid-19" has become commonplace and even the accepted standard in some cases. Use of "Covid-19" in news sources from the United Kingdom like The Guardian has also been the norm since most British newspapers only capitalize an entire acronym if the acronym is typically spelled out like "B-B-C" or "N-H-S" while acronyms which are pronounced as words, like "Nasa" or "Unicef" have their first letter capitalized and all subsequent letters lowercase.
While COVID-19 refers to the disease and SARS-CoV-2 refers to the virus which causes it, referring to the "COVID-19 virus" has been accepted. Reference to SARS-CoV-2 as "the coronavirus" has become somewhat accepted despite such use implying that there is only one coronavirus species. Similarly, use of "COVID" for the disease (if the first rendered as COVID-19) has been tolerated. Use of "the Coronavirus" to refer to the COVID-19 pandemic which began in December 2019 has also been accepted. Although such use does not specify the year or which coronavirus-related disease is being referred to, given its all-encompassing impact at the time, such references have been deemed justifiable. Use of "the" when referring to the disease, virus, or 2019 pandemic has been quite varied with some requiring use of "the" while others have not. The Oxford English Dictionary noted that "the" is typically not used when referring to the disease, COVID-19, but is not uncommon when referring to the virus.
Reference to the virus and/or the disease as "corona", "the corona", and "the rona" has also arisen in various parts of the world.
Colloquial names
2022-09-13 phylogenetic tree of life of COVID-19 using the PANGO nomenclature; only a few of these variants have come to public notice
Numerous mutations and variants of SARS-CoV-2 have acquired colloquial vis-à-vis scientific labels for ease of pronunciation and usage, both in the lab and to some extent in mass media. The nomenclature draws from the corpus of mythology (both Greek and Scandinavian and astronomy.
Public messaging has been a concern given that these elements of popular reportage can be at variance with the Greek alphabet nomenclature established by the WHO; other schemes have been proposed.
Variants
Arcturus (XBB.1.16) was named on social media after the star; Kraken (XBB.1.5), Cerberus (BQ.1.1), Typhon (BQ.1), and Gryphon (XBB) were coined by evolutionary biologist T. Ryan Gregory (from his own personal nomenclature of mythical creatures); whereas Pelican, Quail, and Mockingbird (variants of 20I/501Y.V1), have not gained wider usage. The BA.2.86 variant was named 'pirola' (sic) by a group of scientists on social media in late 2023, and was brought to public attention by an August edition of the Wall Street Journal. (Inasmuch as the World Health Organization has suggested using astronomy for its plethora of names, the Twitter user @JPWeiland suggested the obscure Jovian asteroid 1082 Pirola "for its uniqueness" and the possibility of shifting the nomenclaure to Pi or Rho if needed.)
Mutations
Nicknames have also arisen for mutations such as Nelly (N501Y), Doug (and Douglas) (D614G), and even Eeek (E484K), initially meant as convenient labels in University of Bern lab discourse.
