This is literally only funny if you’ve read Naoki Urasawa’s Mujirushi but I couldn’t help but make it as soon as it crossed my mind

Following a friend's example, I think I'm gonna start reposting old translations I did on twitter.
"This morning when I woke up, I had become a girl... is a theme used very often."

A cool fact about Mujirushi is that it was commissioned at the request of the Museum itself to celebrate the Year of Japan in France! Hence Naoki Urasawa choosing Iyami to be the mysterious main character, since he’s such a ouiaboo.
A second cool fact related to it is that a few years ago I went to France with my family (my dad lives abroad and we barely ever see him so we planned a trip together since all of us used to live in France even longer ago) and I symbolically took Iyami to the Louvre to “see” his favorite painting as per the manga.

how do you come up with poses? i spend too much time trying to come up with natural and dynamic poses like urs :o
I'm an animator so I've had a lot of practice drawing things in actual dynamic (...ish) motion or in anticipation of motion, so I'm familiar with weight interacting with forms. I was also in theater acting for 5 years so I'm partial to intentional, concise body movement (clear silhouette/ able to be seen from the nosebleed seats) Which helps in identifying expression. (Arms big and wide for a bombastic character, everything close to the body and turned away from people for someone who's meeker or doesn't want to be seen, yadda yadda) Lucky for me both of these things can be found in comics. Comics/Manga are what I've always looked to for posing, making static drawings feel like they have dynamic movement is key for guiding the eye on a page full of dialogue bubbles, and giving us the feeling of living characters actually moving through space. Tuesday Tips from Griz and Norm has always been a useful resource for me in handling anatomy, which I suggest you have a good grasp of. I have a reference folder of like, thousands of screenshots from manga or stuff I think has a well-drawn anatomy (It's mostly all Naruto hehe) Sometimes I'll do gesture drawing WITH those reference pictures, just don't use them as a jumping-off point, a lot of anatomy is broken when it comes to simplifying the form for clarity or emphasis of energy (punching and kicking and the like) idk I've drawn alot. of people.

Things here: Griz & Norm (from their tumblr) Dungeon Meshi (HUGELY recommend, Ryoko Kui is so awesome and cool) Naruto (also recommend, this whole manga is about jumping around and fighting so. Yeah. Anatomy Anatomy Anatomy) Hellboy: The Wild Hunt by Mike Mignola My Hero Academia (guy I don't really like but can draw like a crazy person) Mujirushi by Naoki Urasawa (guy I REALLY like who can draw like a crazy person) AKIRA by Katsuhiro Otomo Blue Giant by Shin'ichi Ishizuka (I am biased because this is about a Sax player) Idk I could make an even longer list but this wasn't an ask for that, hopefully, I answered part of your question.
