I am so useless for Kiseki.
We've got a couple where the memories between them are opposite because one has the past and the future but not the present while the other has no past or future but only the present.
And we have the brothers in all but blood who shared a night that one remembers all too clearly and one is begging to know and understand.
And all of them are communicating with food, spices and sweets, a feast to keep him there and a bakery to share their memories.
This show.

"You can't be rid of me. You will never be rid of me." The mirror told him hatefully.
The dark-haired boy turned away, hands clenched.
"You can't run from this, coward. You can't run from the truth," the mirror continued to snarl.
"It doesn't matter." The boy answered, "You can't do anything to me from there,"
The mirror snarled again, "You will regret this. You will regret killing me-"
"Why?" The boy interrupted, "Isn't that what you wanted to do to me?" Red flashed momentarily in the green eyes and the boy smiled, a mockery of how Harry Potter used to, "Why will I ever regret living?"

OOKAY IVE BEEN THINKING.
should you kill the "leader" of a team first or last? the leader in this case just being the most well known or the one everyone takes commands from. so y'know.. leader stuff. to set the scene, say.. there's a group of like four or five people, and they've been caught together or are in some sort of deadly situation. they're all going to die one way or another, but which way would fuck them up emotionally the most? .. torture aside. i'm picturing a shot to the head or something. would it be to, A: kill the leader first. or B: kill the leader last?
here are MY thoughts! feel free to add onto this or reblog or whatever. i'm really curious as to what you guys think!! they're all down there cause i don't want to make this too long.,
killing the leader first could symbolize the end of the team, like a bad omen or something idk. cause it would be pretty fucked up to see the person you've looked up to or been working with, who time and time again has made it out of things alive and taken charge to make sure everything's okay, just.. die. right in front of you, like their life never meant anything, and there's nothing you could do about it. like., you love your leader, huh? TOO BAD!! shoots them in the head
HOWEVER, killing the leader last would be pretty fucked up as well. because they'd be seeing the people they've devoted their time and resources and emotions to, just *splat*. gone! it would be pretty soul crushing to see your best friends and allies in their last moments, knowing that you failed them, and it was your decisions that led up to their deaths. and by the time the leader dies, they're glad. because they wouldn't have anything to live for anyways
SO!! i think it depends on who you want to inflict this pain onto, but either way, they're all gonna die. i may or may not have started thinking about this because of the killjoys,.. totally not aha..

Something that makes reading TOA so devastating is how fucking much Apollo feels about Everything. There’s so MUCH. Like I don’t even know how to describe it to you if you haven’t read the books yourself. He has so many complicated thoughts and emotions about just about everything and he cares about everything so much and there is just SO MUCH going on in his head. And yet none of it ever reaches his mouth!!
He almost never says what he’s feeling. What little comes out of his mouth about his thoughts barely even scratches the surface of what he actually means. Like he’ll be having a long ass monologue about how incredible someone is, showing a deep understanding of them as a person and empathizing with them so hard you’d almost think it’s projection but it’s not he’s legitimately just mind melding with this random person he met like a week ago and he’s thinking the softest, kindest thoughts about them like he knows they’re fucking incredible - and what comes out of his mouth is just like, “you’re a wonderful friend :)” AND ITS LIKE. THERES SO MUCH MORE UNDER THE SURFACE. the sheer admiration and adoration he has for everyone around him……… UGHHH!!! But he never VOICES ANY OF IT!!!!!! He never tells anyone about what Zeus did to him……. He never tells anyone except the reader about his realization that Zeus is abusive…. He never even tells commodus about how much he adored him, not then and not now… he refuses to tell anyone when he’s in pain or tries to justify the things he does when he actually had Decent Reasons for why he did something… I’m. I’M. AUGH. AHHHHH
HE DOESN’T EVEN TELL US ALL OF HIS THOUGHTS IS THE THING. THERES EVEN MORE THAT HE IS NOT TELLING US!!!!! THE FUCKING OCEAN OF FEELINGS AND THOUGHTS HE HAS ABOUT EVERYTHING IS THE CLIFF NOTES VERSION. I AM IN DISTRESS.
And YET…. Even what slips out of his mouth is so fucking devastating it is SO devastating. He’s so fucking kind and gentle with Harley and Meg and and other younger Demis and his kids… he’ll act like an obstinate idiot and then turn around say something that drags the core of the person he’s talking to into the light like nail on the fucking HEAD like he reached into their soul and gave them the words to express something that they were struggling to say aloud or that they didn’t even realize about themself. Around the 2nd book he starts putting voice to some of his feelings and thoughts about others and even that tiny fucking sliver is overwhelming to the people he’s talking to bc he’s SO. AUGHHHH

The Soul Edge/Blade comic translations are now complete! Li Long enlists Mitsurugi’s help in winning Chie’s heart... The same guy, in-story, whom Li Long thought had murdered her, but... eh, don’t worry about it right now. Chie is the woman shown in this artbook page; in-story, she’s a Fu-ma ninja on the lam and Taki’s childhood friend. (I kid you not, the Fu-ma clan have a lot going in the background of this series.) Anyway, as always, click the images for less blur (and my silly captions).
Title: “Go for it, Li Long!” Volume
Page 1
Vertical panel: Li Long. Born October 23. Age: 24. Blood type: B.
After an incident in which his beloved Chie was attacked by a mysterious swordsman, he starts hunting swordsmen... And then, he happens upon Soul Edge.

Other girl: “So...”
Panel 2: “In order to express his feelings to her...”

Li Long: “Uh... Um...”
Panel 4

Page 2
Panel 1: “Just then...”
Mitsurugi: “If you insist... I’ll teach you a strategy that’ll do the trick!”
Panel 2: “The strategy is quite simple: Mitsurugi plays the villain and attacks Chie, then Li Long saves her...”
Mitsurugi: “C’mon!”
Chie: “Eeek!”
Li Long: “Stop!”
Panel 3: “Thus, the two of them would have a happy ending.”
Chie: “Li Long-san, you’re wonderful!”
Li Long: “Yeah, something like that.”
Panel 4: “The day of the operation... It was a windy day.”
SFX: (WHOOSH)
Panel 5
Chie: “EEK! Someone help me!”
Mitsurugi: “Guhahaha!”
Panel 6
Li Long: “That’s it! You... You’re gonna get hurt if you don’t get lost!”
Chie: “Oh, Li Long-san.”
Panel 7
SFX: (WHOOSH) (*Drop*)
Mitsurugi: “Oh, he’s bald.”
Little note: In Li Long’s 2P version, his head is closely shaven, as you’ll see here.
Note on the source link: the “Next” (次へ) button leads to the second half of the Seong Mi-na comic instead. You can access the second half of this comic here (or just replace the 1 near the end of the source’s URL with 2).
The rest of my translations of these comics (and some other related things) are all linked at the masterpost.
