The Primarchs and their brothers.
Part 5: Jaghatai Khan
1. The Lion:
“I have seen him do things with cavalry that would by any metric seem either impossible or poorly considered. And I have been proven wrong each and every time.”
2. REDACTED:
“It is hard to believe the viciousness attributed to Genghis Khan (though it is true) when confronted with Jaghatai’s utter humanity at the height of war (though it too is true.)
3. Fulgrim:
“His aesthetic tastes are…pedestrian. The irony is not lost on me.”
4. Peturabo:
“He removed two thirds of the armor in the Emperor’s preeminent armored legion. I do not feel he appreciates the gravity of the situation. Fifth Legion tankers were - and still are - among the finest in the Galaxy. But now… now there are far too few of them.”
6. Leman Russ:
“His boldness is refreshing. His humor is infectious. Perhaps it is because he, too, is viewed by most of the rest of them as some sort of uplifted Barbarian: but I love him for it.”
7. Rogal Dorn:
“He is always attacking. I fear he has absorbed too much of Yamamoto and not enough of Sun T’zu.”
8. Konrad Curze:
“You have heard the expression ‘speed kills’? Jaghatai is speed.”
9. Sanguinius:
“Too clever by half. Too modest to accept it. Were that more of us so inclined.”
10. Ferrus Manus:
“He gutted the armored cohorts. Appalling.”
11. REDACTED
“There are many criticisms to be considered, but I do not deign to consider them. Serving along side him is an honor rarely equaled, and it is my great regret that this has not been more common in my experience.”
12. Angron:
“Yes, yes, he removed many of the armored columns. But by Mars… the way that man wields the armor that remains. “
13. Roboute Guilliman:
“If I had but three Legions of Chogorians, I could conquer the galaxy. Though I suppose, then, I’d have to be jaghatai. And I simply don’t have the common touch he has. I shall have to content myself with a Legion of my own, each one of us proud to call the men and women of Chogoris our brethren.”
14. Mortarion:
“Though our methods differ completely, I respect his craft.”
15. Magnus the Red:
“One of the few truly enlightened souls in the galaxy.”
16. Horus:
“A scrupulous, utterly competent soldier. I would be glad to have him at my side, deeply perturbed to be pitted against him.”
17. Lorgar:
“He believes in something. Something substantive. There is greatness there, in a confraternity of greatness. In another life, he might have been though of as a Saint, perhaps the Archangel Michael himself.”
18. Vulkan:
“I have nothing but praise for my dear brother. For one often drenched in blood, he is often the first among the others to draw a line and hold to his ethic fiercely.”
19. Corvus Corax:
“I have witnessed him first hand, battering down the Nephilim. I would not want to be on the other side of that.”
20. Alpharius Omegon;
“I love him dearly. But he places too much trust in speed, too little respect for consequences…”

Realized I never discussed how big the Anarche’s are compared to the other Greater Daemons. Welp, here ya go! Of the Greater Daemons, they are the smallest, even when standing straight up. Only the Lords of Change are similarish in size; they are soundly tinier than everyone else, especially the Keeper and Unclean Ones. Even Verminlords are bigger.
But, don’t let their size and relatively drab appearance fool you. They are quick, durable, and deadly.
