I saw this article calling Sasuke a Villain and how the live-action shouldn't include his "villain" arc, because it "felt tedious and too convoluted to the bigger narrative" and instead they should make him a pivot for the fight against the Otsutsuki...
Did this person watch the anime or read the manga?
Article from CBR, Title: The Naruto Live-Action Movie Doesn't Need To Adapt This Villain Arc
Tumblr media
1. Protect Konoha from what? The Uchiha wanted to end the discrimination and oppression they were facing at the hands of the higher ups... (Not to mention that when Kurama attacked the village (under genjutsu, when Naruto was born), and during the konoha crush, no other villages went to attack the Leaf after the events)
2. Most people would hate growing up alone, and why was that sentence in bold?
3. Sasuke didn't find out about the true reason Itachi did what he did, until after Itachi died, as well as the real reason behind said Coup... as far as I am aware. And why wouldn't he want revenge against Konoha (specifically the 3 people who are left that caused all of his trauma and the uchiha genocide, it'd be 4 but the Sandaime Hokage was already dead by this point in the story)
4. What "wars" against Madara and Obito? There was only 1 War against them, the 4th great ninja war, that lasted 2 days a.k.a. approximately ~212 episodes, including filler (volumes 55 through 59 in the Manga, according to google)
Tumblr media
"Naruto and Sasuke were reincarnations of her sons (Ashura and Indra, respectively)"
Okay, so the author didn't watch nor read Naruto...
Indra and Ashura Otsutsuki are not Kaguya's sons... they are her grandsons 👁️👄👁️ Homura and Hagoromo Otsutsuki are her sons...
I feel like the author doesn't know much about Kaguya either, if they did they'd know her story.
"The advantage of Sasuke being a rebel without defecting from Konoha is that Naruto would have the help needed to fight the big villains of the franchise: the Ōtsutsuki."
When the time came, was Sasuke not helping Naruto with that? 🧐 And why shouldn't he had defected from Konoha? What good could they do for him?
Tumblr media
Why does Sasuke need to be convinced to return home, when his home was taken from him by this "home" the author speaks of, that "home" being Konoha? Why should he return to the place that treated his people so poorly that they felt they no other choice but to do a coup against the people in charge of Konoha only to be wiped out for daring to stand up for themselves after years of oppression...?
Konoha, specifically Danzo, the third hokage, and 2 hogake advisors, forced Itachi to wipeout his whole clan, excluding Sasuke, and then blamed him for it. They swept what they did under a filthy rug, that already had many skeletons piling up, and acted like he was the most evil person... He was a child and he was forced to do that and to become a fugitive by the old people in charge, who had no business being in charge of Konoha since there should've been a 5th Hokage by then... (regardless if Itachi regretted it or not, which he never really does)
Tumblr media
I won't say it...😇
Tumblr media
Tumblr media
"Sasuke could learn more about how Indra developed a dark side, which passed down to the Uchiha, while Ashura's light gave way to the Senju and Uzumaki (Naruto's family) clans"
1. While I do agree that Naruto should've learnt more of the Uzumaki (and the Namikaze), besides finding out they excelled in Sealing Jutsus, had very long lives and were a bit savage (it wasn't in-depth at all, and there is no one to teach him, since the Uzumaki are also victims of genocide (in which Konoha did not help protect them) and well, I don't know what happened to Minato's people)
2. And that Sasuke should've learnt more of his people (but how was he going to, when he was the only one left at age 7/8?)
3. Indra's dark side... it wasn't passed down, nor did it emerge until his father gave his little brother the title of successor and expected him to follow without questions, having his birthright taken away because he was more introverted than his little brother whom their father called "the flunky useless dropout younger brother" (according to a panel I saw). And implied, at least to me, that ninjustu was created for wars and all things evil (Indra created ninjustu when he was just a child). ah yes his dark side the Uchiha inherited, that darkness of wanting to be treated like people and with respect in the village they helped make.
Tumblr media
4. Kushina calls the Uzumaki, among other things, a bit savage. Batsuma Senju punched Hashirama for being angry/sad that his little brother died, saying he was disrespecting his brother (and him) by basically questioning the system. Tobirama is a Senju, who was not shy about his hatred and prejudice against the Uchiha Clan (he is after all the founder of the bigoted psuedo science that was the "Curse of Hatred" the Uchiha are supposedly afflicted by, a clan that according to him is cursed and called Sasuke "a brat possessed by Uchiha evil") and that's on Ashura's "light" that gave way for his descendants, the Uzumaki and the Senju, "a clan of love~"🥰
Tumblr media
Right, because he wasn't a pivot to the story, nor did his and naruto's story have any "heart and impact"... Right...
Tumblr media
At some point, I wonder if some of this article is just satire 😅

Hi Guys,
I notice another interest thing about some of the Reverse Harem theme Anime(s). Aside from Riri the magical wizard from Romantic Killer a few other animes also have their own little friend who would support the heroine.
Like Juli the squirrel in Brothers Conflict. Unlike Riri, Juli isn’t there to assist Ema in helping her find a boyfriend but serves as a guide to protect her from her step brothers who all develop feelings for her. And would at times attack them and call them names.
There is Melissa in Play of Gods. Melissa is a doll-like figure created by the king of Gods Zeus and serves as a guide and at time offer a shoulder to cry on for Yui.
There is also Loewen who start off as loyal dog a Pomeranian. But looks can be deceiving Loewin would later transform into human named Roen. Unlike Riri or Juli his loyalty lie with the devil Lord Maksis and would sacrifice anyone (include heroine Ritsuka) to help his master regain power.
Now you can see Riri isn’t the only magical being that either helps or doesn’t help our heroine/anti-heroine. They all show where their loyalties lie with either their heroine or with others.

Same couple as LITA, this is the backstory of Cirrus & Phugun from TharnType 2 played by different actors.
The Hell Guards AKA Hey Don't Mess With My Heart
Boy wakes up from a coma and becomes a messenger between grim reapers and the underworld. Oh will it be... bureaucratic? I think it WILL.
The Hidden Moon
Casting happened 9/23. This is a supernatural romance (my ghost boyfriend trope) ‘เดือนพราง’ by Violet Rain. A Bangkok writer is hired to write an article about an old mansion in Chiang Mai which is being converted into a café. He gets into an accident and nearly dies on his way there. After that, he sees the ghosts of people who died at the mansion, one boy catches his attention. Stars Benjamin Brasier (2 Moons 2) and Folk Touch Inthirat from Brothers. Trailer here.
The Next Prince (ZeeNew)

The Trainee (OffGun)

Vampire Project (BounPrem)
Wabi Sabi's My Broccoli only now... vampires.
Wandee Godday
GMMTV and AllThis Entertainment producing a very pulp offering for GMMTV with new pair GreatInn doing high heat Boxer meets surgeon. It features a one night stand, fake relationship, and all the cheesiest of tropes. Also features Drake, Podd, and Thor+ pretty boy (be still my heart). This is totally my kind of BL even if it actually isn't GMMTV's style of BL, so I'm intrigued. Trailer here.
We Are (PondPhuwin)
GMMTV's university friendship Bl featuring PondPhuwin, WinnySatang, AouBoom, MarcPawin - basically ALL in the good kind of messy friendship group (so more My Engineer and less Only Friends). Looks a bit like the Kiss series but everyone is gay. I'm IN! Trailer here.
A reminder we had c. 136 BLs release in 2023 but c. 55 that did not get made.
That seems about right.
Of those announced we seem to get about 2/3 actually released for the year we are told they'll release in.

I really don't understand the hypocrisy of some Naruto fans - a rant.
(Trigger warning - anti Hinata.)
Why the f people are comparing Hinata (a background character) to Sakura (a heroine) as if Hinata is gonna look better in comparison????
The things that I have seen in the Fandom really make me question people's ability to read.
PART 1
(I want to provide manga as a proof, but Tumblr has a limit of pictures i can add, so I'll do it in parts)
People are like:
"Crush-ceteric" character:
Tumblr media
Tumblr media
aka I'll protect my friends at all cost, I have an unbending spirit!
"Independent woman" character:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Aka Naruto-kun 🥺
"Cares about others" character:
Tumblr media
Aka who cares that Shikamaru had almost died, I WANNA BE WITH NARUTO.
"Doesn't give a sh*t about others" character:
Tumblr media
Aka be strong Shikamaru, I'll help you!
Tumblr media
Or aka take the medicine and save yourself, I'll be fine!
"Strong" character:
Tumblr media
Aka I'll lose every battle
"Weak" character:
Tumblr media
Tumblr media
Aka I'll beat the sh*t out of my enemies.
______________________
Like???? I don't understand
They call Hinata "not boy-centered" while Naruto is all she cares/thinks about.
They call her caring, but she cares only about Naruto and herself.
They call her strong, but she has lost every battle she has ever been in.
(And btw, to people who say that she is "stronger" than Sakura because of her byakugan - she's not the first woman ever to have byakugan and Tsunade was still the strongest kunoichi, so byakugan doesn't add a thing and Sakura did punch kaguya (that had the byakugan) so Sakura solos Hinata, sorry not sorry 🤷‍♀️)

Frieren anime is over... and i realized with that last ep that frieren's previous party specifically was anti-angst. No regrets on this hero's journey. Meandering to their heart's content. If it's going to take 10 years to get to the final boss's lair it's going to take 10 years. Kings of mindfulness. Frieren sleeps in and is always on the lookout for grimoires, himmel gets to be as vain as he wants with the statues also having the added benefit of keeping frieren company for ages on, heiter is handedly dragged along on his hungover days and gets to frolick with eisen when not. Eisen is remarkably chill. None of them are in any hurry(or is able to be convinced with good cheer that pushing themselves for a supposed greater good couldn't be more important than the here and now), and conflict is near nonexistent thanks to the stress-free environment. If they'd failed to kill the demon king they'd probably have patted each other on the back and tried again next year. Truly the height of friendship. Which is probably why it worked.
And of course that's the perspective with which frieren inducts fern onto journeying. Fern disagrees with some of it, understandably. It's different with different people. Got to love those differing dynamics.
But just the way the story keeps facing subject matter such as longevity and loss and rememberance head-on and sidestepping the obvious pitfalls so neatly.. building its entire theme upon these contrasts. The power of friendship did save the world. Frieren who is stoic by nature, but has a love for magic that hasn't dulled in a thousand years and is deliberately learning every day how to walk in sync with the people around her. Fern takes after frieren in so many ways and her humanness breaks my heart. I like that stark readily admits his cowardice and basically occupies the heroine sidekick position. An especially satisfying detail would be that himmel got friendzoned by frieren and was fine with it. And serie, you prideful creature of a million unsaid contradictions..... I'm excited to see what other stories the manga has to tell, that's for sure.

as much as i hate people comparing stl to kimi ni todoke my heart hurts with joy every time i see people treating mika with such love and tenderness because it was something that kurumi never received when the show first started airing, most people who haven't read the manga still treat her like she was just some stock villian fitting in the mean girl trope for the main couple to get together when she clearly was so much more than that, infact kurumi was the one who helped sawako the most in becoming an actually really confident person when it came to handling her romantic relationships yet ah yet she is watered down to just being the pretty mean rival who is not gonna win, she is just a girl, smh, god forbid woman do anything, ah girlhood, i love complex girl characters, i love simplex girl characters, i love anti heroines, i love weird girls, i love girls irrespective of who and what they are, i love trans women, i love femme fatales, i just love them all.

My Review of The Great Gatsby (Tsukigumi, 2022)!
Translation:
I accidentally missed the first 30 minutes of the play like an idiot because I took an ill-timed nap, but thanks to having read the novel in high school I caught up quickly. It was rather strange to see the "great American novel" that represents the vanity and hidden misery of 1920s America as a "Zuka-fied" shoujo manga-esque tale.
In the novel, Gatsby's love for Daisy makes him a laughingstock and unfortunate hero. The fact that the "pure and kind" Daisy Buchanon he is pining for doesn't really exist is meant to be a parallel to the American man chasing the glorified "American Dream". However, in the play Gatsby's love is played straight as a tragedy. I think this became possible through the character of Daisy becoming "A passive heroine fit for Takarazuka's worldview."
In a Takarazuka play, the heroine (not always, but) often does not have the complex morality and desires like the hero, but fits a certain character type instead. In the play, Daisy says that she is "acting" the part of a pretty but empty shell after being wounded by Gatsby's love in her youth, establishing her goodness as a heroine to the audience. But in the book Daisy is truly a rather nasty person, and Gatsby's the one who plays her up as his pure, tragic heroine for his sake.
Furthermore, the narrator character of Nick became colorless in this play as he became a one-dimensional "good guy" rather than a hypocritical man who looks down on others and presents his bystander stance as moral purity. All in all, Tsukigumi's "The Great Gatsby" felt as strange to me as Soragumi's "Sherlock Holmes" did, with the similar parallel of the simplification of a complex female character (Daisy Buchanon and Irene Adler) and the adapted heroism of our anti-hero (Jay Gatsby and Sherlock Holmes).
That said, I still enjoyed the play. Tsukishiro Kanato's charm made it a fine time (In particular the waltz scene where Gatsby runs a hand down Daisy's waist- that one action had a longing and erotic feel to it that stands out boldly in my mind). And one thing I didn't expect- The miracle of the character Tom Buchanon going from a foolish rich Ivy-Leauge boy stereotype to an incredibly attractive shoujo manga-esque villain in the play! Of course, this was all possible due to Hozuki An's acting. Hozuki An's villainess roles have a strong image of a meticulous poisonous spider. But her villain roles have the attractiveness of someone who eschews subtletly and gets what he wants through cold hard power. The keyword here would be "coldness" in that her interpretation of this character makes the otherwise one dimensional play interesting through contrast with Gatsby and Daisy's warmth in love.
In conclusion, I didn't particularly enjoy the novel The Great Gatsby but because the Takarazuka play pulled any hint of irony from the story and presented it as a romantic tale, I was quite confused at first. (Particularly telling is the scene with Gatsby's library- in the novel, the books are all fake signaling Gatsby's bluff, but in the play they are all real.) But because the novel is so short and not exceptionally striking, perhaps it was a better idea after all for Takarazuka Revue to present the story as an unironic drama that emphasizes the results of events rather than emotion, for a whole 3-hour play.

Hello everyone! I am here to share with you all my most recent hyper-fixation!! Hurray!!
So, I’ve always been a huge fan of role-swaps, and so I came up with an idea for a Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time role-swap, and thought I should share it with you all!
So basically, the main idea is that the Sages, along with the Sages elements, swap with each other, along with the races.
So this is what the swaps are:
Forest - Light
Water - Shadow
Fire - Spirit
Zelda - Link
Ghirahim - Fi
Saria - Rauru
Ruto - Impa
Darunia - Nabooru
Kokiri - Hylians
Zora - Sheikah
Gorons - Gerudo
Goddess Harp - Ocarina of Time
Ganon does not change, however. He remains the same.
So this is based on the classic Zelda/Link role-swap, but with enough changes for it to be different.
The plot would follow the same story beats, basically, that being:
Main character saves someone from evil however they die anyway.
Main character gets entrusted with a special item/s which will help with their journey.
Main character finds someone who is also needed to save the world.
Main character helps a bunch of people, getting more special items that will help them on their journey.
Main character fails at stopping the evil but gets a special weapon after time has passed.
Main character finds a wise person to help them and goes on what is basically a fetch quest.
Main character defeats the big evil with the help of the person from before and the items along the way.
This is the basis of Ocarina of Time but boiled down to the extreme basics. I think.
Here is some information about the new world of Hyrule:
Hyrule is mostly a forest.
The fantasy races (Kokiri, Zora, Gorons) all work together to rule over Hyrule.
The Kokiri are the ‘main rulers’, basically, with the capital being the area which they do not age.
Link is an actual Kokiri, although Zelda isn’t.
The reason why he ages while Zelda’s sealed away for seven years is that he fled the Kokiri capital, away from the anti-aging magic of the Great Deku Tree.
Zelda was left at a Temple (the Temple of Time) when she was just a baby and has lived there her whole life.
She is known to be someone sent by the Goddesses. Due to her strong sacred power.
The Hylians were originally the rulers, but they were thought to be unfit for the role due to them not being ‘one with the Goddesses.’
This is referring to how they weren’t magical enough, basically.
This is what caused the civil war, which happened a much longer time ago than in the official/canon Ocarina of Time.
The sacred stones which Zelda has to collect are:
The Sacred Stone of Light, given to her by the High Priestess of the Church which Zelda was left.
After removing the evil sent by Ganon from her, although not saving her life in the process.
The Sacred Stone of Shadow, given to her by Impa of the Sheikah.
After saving Kakariko village from a Poe tormenting them.
The Sacred Stone of Spirit, given by Nabooru of the Gerudo.
After calming a sandstorm caused by a large bird’s wingbeats.
Link is engaged to Princess Ruto of the Zora.
The story roughly follows the plot of the Ocarina of Time manga, but also the game as well.
Zelda wasn’t told to meet Link, however she was guided by her prophetic dreams.
Zelda is, obviously, the main character and the Heroine of Hyrule.
However, all of this is still in the works. If anyone has any ideas regarding this role-swap, I would love to hear them.
Have an amazing rest of your day, and do not forget to have courage, move with wisdom, and have power as well!

So, if you asked to write your top 5 fav from JJK and HxH, what genre will you put them (or you agree that they should be in shounen)....
HxH top 5+:
Gon - he fits battle shounen well but he's also do great in a sports show. Any type of adventure story would suit him, it wouldn't need to be fighting related, he's so curious. And also detective stories, he's very perceptive. But also psychological horror or thriller where he has to face the darker parts of his personality. And high fantasy, Gon's obviously an elf or a hobbit or like a cross between them.
Killua - he would do well in some slow burn romance, period probably where a lot is unspoken. He could also do well as an eccentric detective, genius with poor people skills but actually very observant and empathetic on the inside XD
Alluka (and Nanika)- shoujo, possibly a magical girl one but with slightly darker undertones. You know, both cute and creepy. Or like darker, maybe supernatural or horror yuri drama. Nanika would either be her twin in this, or the dark magical being connected to her like she is in hxh. And obviously gothic horror.
Canary - she would also make a great magical girl, but also any kind of story of reluctant heroine would suit her - she serves the Zoldycks out of necessity but she also grew very emotionally invested in that. Also yuri drama would suit her very well. And considering how she scammed Amane in the Election arc I feel like some kind of story where she uses her wits to achieve her goals.
Leorio - apart from the obvious aka any medical drama, any scenario where it's him against the system. Probably cyber punk would suit him well, because of how such reality would clash with his values. But also rom com, he'd be kinda bad at it and it'd be funny.
____________________
JJK to 5:
Yuuji - I mean he's a shoujo manga heroine, I stand by it wholeheartedly. He's be good in slice of life but also in something very dramatic and painful. And he'd be perfect for romance where he's the clueless one and others pursue him, maybe even harem anime. Also some kind of story where he has a service job and deals with it, kinda heavy but funny story, probably heart warming in the end. Also musicals to utilise his singing skills and charisma.
Nobara - any story where she's the underdog climbing to the top or where she has assert herself against the world. She'd be great in slice of life too, especially comedy. And stuff with yuri on the side though no romance for her as the main plot, like she's more about her goals. And anything where she's ride or die, can be as tragic as Thelma and Luise but also a lighter play on that trope.
Kenjaku - comedy, obviously. Horror, duh. But also spy thrillers, both as the main character, kinda an anti hero, or the villain. And like any historical drama that is intrigue and/or creepiness heavy. And cyber punk with the body hopping. And obviously any story about them being an overbearing parent with a difficult relationship with their kids, like heavy family drama. Kenny's got range.
Sukuna - porn. Any story where he's the ruthless ruler or contender to power - period drama, modern, sf, crime. Any story where he's a cannibalistic serial killer, especially styled after true crime where he'd have groupies. Reality tv where he's the hated judge. But also some heavy drama where he has to deal with societal rejection and/or has to face the personal consequences of the way he is, like the thing Gege is denying him rn. Or a more silly and topey high school drama version of that like a bully getting his comeuppance and rethinking his life, something teen oriented.
Yorozu - so like mad scientist anything for her. But also Crazy Ex Girlfriend kinda thing where she slowly works through her issues and gets over seeking validation in shitty men. Also like Sex and the City but like if Samantha was the main character (as she should've been). Like a reverse rom com. She'd also do well in musicals and super hero stories before the started to strive for being serious, because she's over the top.

Same Anon as before. Do you have any unpopular opinions about certain characters?
A lot even but i will only talk about my opinions regarding the characters from the Naruto manga that I appreciate - if I expand, we'll be here tomorrow - .
Firstly, let's start with Sakura.
I don't understand why some—actually, many—of her own fans say she is poorly written.
She isn't...?
Sakura has issues concerning her character, but it has NOTHING to do with bad writing but more about her role in the story and how she was used. As for her character itself, she-is-not-poorly-written.
Honestly, I hate this claim because it gives the impression that her character is bad when that's not the case at all.
Coming from the antis, it's not surprising —they can't even understand the character of their own favorite, so understanding Sakura's character would be a miracle— but from her "stan"?
Just...no.
She is not poorly written, and that's my final word on it. I'm more than tired of hearing this nonsense. Yes, the narrative failed her many times— like many other characters, for that matter —but it's not the "bad writing" of her character to blame, but rather Kishimoto's inability to focus on characters other than Sasuke and Naruto.
Another unpopular opinion about her is that I HATE fanon versions of Sakura (and when I say fanon, I also mean popular headcanons about her circulating in the fandom).
It may sound extreme, but you'll quickly understand why:
Initially, it was actually the opposite. I loved it because I enjoyed seeing the different iterations of her that fans could create. It was always refreshing to read other versions of Sakura in fanfic—that admittedly had little to do with the original—growing and experiencing incredible things. I liked that.
And then things got worse.
For some reason, many of her fans —and antis as well— started confusing her canon version and her fanon version (some takes on her are so OC that I sometimes wonder if we're talking about the same person), while others began to claim that she should have had techniques like mokuton in the canon.
... What do they think Sakura is?
Naruto and Sasuke?
If they want their headcanon to be somewhat plausible in the context of canon, at least give her something that aligns with his philosophy of hard work.
Mokuton, from what I know, only manifests through the Senju lineage. If she had it in the canon, she would have to be descended from a Senju —naturally or artificially, it doesn't matter— and honestly... I disagree.
That's not Sakura.
This girl is a titan of her own making, partly thanks to her courage and hard work, and then thanks to Tsunade and Shizune -bless these ladies-
I would never want her to have power-ups like Naruto; it would negate everything she has done since the beginning of the manga, and that's just a big no.
I can understand her fans being upset about her treatment by Kishimoto —I am too, a lot— but that doesn't mean we should change her character to fit a shoddy female version of her male counterparts; that's just rude.
It wouldn't even be the same person anymore.
My last unpopular opinion about her (I have many more, but I'll just stop here) is that she deserved better.
... I classify this as an unpopular opinion because what I mean by that is not: "she deserved better than Sasuke" or "she deserved to be with Naruto" or AGAIN "she should have gotten over Sasuke" or some other thing like "she should have had some super powerful ability."
No, what I mean is that Sakura deserved her own arc.
An arc in which she wouldn't have to carry the weight of the shinobi world's guilt on her shoulders as usual - if Konoha is messed up, it's not her fault-
An arc in which we could see her actually experience her other skills, have other epic battles, build other relationships, break free from the grip of Team 7 in general.
She's supposed to be the heroine of the manga, but Kishimoto treated her like a supporting character with way too much screen time.
Damn, we don't even know what her home life is like.
We don't even really see her parents in the manga, and why is that?
Because she doesn't have an overly tragic background to make Hades pale?
Because she doesn't have balls?
Compared to her teammates, she doesn't matter, is that it?
The only thing we see her do again and again is blame herself for things beyond her control.
Like...why?!
Kishimoto made her some kind of martyr of pain, and it infuriates me every time I think about it.
The worst part is that many of her own fans sweep this under the rug and prefer to argue about who "deserves her."
Sasuke here, Naruto there... is she a piece of meat?
It's almost taboo to talk about the real problems surrounding her character in this fandom without someone mentioning how "Sasuke doesn't deserve her, and Naruto is much better" or how "Sakura is obsessed with Sasuke's dick."
...
Lol.
Next, Sasuke.
Sasuke deserved better...
and
Sasuke was wrong...
are notions that should more often go hand in hand.
His redemption journey was a good idea because, no matter what his most zealous fans say about it, Sasuke needed that journey.
Konoha hurt him, and it's easy to become an apologist for his character given all the crap he went through, mainly because of the incompetent authorities of this crappy village, but... that doesn't change the fact that he is not without blame and that he also did messed up things.
However... I don't like the resolution of his character arc.
Once again, Kishimoto reminded us in the cruelest way possible that Naruto is a classic Shounen, and the protagonist must always be right.
To the detriment of Sasuke.
Attention, I'm not saying that Naruto's view was wrong and Sasuke's was right because that's far from the case.
What annoyed me is the way the author handled it.
It seemed like Sasuke was almost wrong to think the way he did, when given his situation, his reaction was actually expected and normal. I really don't like how he put Naruto's opinions on a pedestal at the end of manga.
He gave Sasuke a completely independent story that didn't revolve around Naruto's sphere of influence -quite rare even today in the Shounen era- .
He endowed him with his own will.
Literally more than Naruto, it was Sasuke who led the dance in the manga, and why in the end?
So that everything would go in the direction of the protagonist?
And that, without even serious questioning of the Konoha system?
What was the point of Naruto knowing the truth about the Uchiha massacre then?
So yes, I don't like what Kishimoto did to Sasuke's character in the end; I find it unfair to him.
I classify this as an unpopular opinion because, even though I'm not a fan of the resolution of his character arc, that doesn't mean I'm "pro-revolution" or that I think Sasuke did nothing wrong, because he did.
This brings me to my second unpopular opinion about this character:
Sasuke is not a revolutionary.
He is not the character built to challenge the system that some of his fans think he is.
Like… since when did Sasuke become someone who could change Konoha's system in the first place?
That was never his goal; the only thing that led him to make that infamous statement was anger and betrayal he felt towards Konoha. It was his obsession with revenge that led to this thought, and nothing else.
Moreover, excuse me, but his plan was crappy.
Eliminate all Kage, okay.
Take the lead of all the villages, okay.
Launch a revolution and change the system...
As if the other shinobi of the alliance would just stare at him and do nothing -_-
His idea was doomed to fail from the start.
I'm theorizing a bit here, but basically, here's the deal:
Does he really think he can eliminate the entire Shinobi alliance? (because that's what he would have had to do to achieve his goal)
With what help?
That of Team Taka?
Lol.
Yes, Sasuke is powerful, but even he couldn't have pulled off this feat without becoming ridiculously overpowered (even more than at the end of the manga).
The only thing this plan would have brought if executed would have been to alienate all Shinobi nations against him (well, he already did it, but it would have been even worse).
And if, by some miracle, his plan had worked - if he had succeeded in his revolution - it would have just caused decades and decades of war between rebel factions - because there would be if we still follow the logic of the manga - wanting to return to the old times, others wanting power for themselves, and others simply refusing to let power go to an Uchiha (let's not forget the reputation of this clan).
Moreover, to change a system hundreds of years old in a world governed by the law of the strongest, it takes much more than violence and a strong desire for revenge.
He would need many brains at his disposal: tacticians, politicians, doctors, advisers...
In short, he would need allies he could trust and who would not betray him.
Unless he wants to be a bully, which honestly seems more likely to me.
He would need the help of countless geniuses in each field for this revolution to be successful, and from what the manga tells us, all these people are in the alliance.
... Who would want to work for him willingly after all he would have done?
And even if there are people willing to do so, it will always be with the fear of possible betrayal.
If even Madara and Hashirama - alias shinobi gods in their time - needed strong allies to create Konoha and make it a prosperous nation...
(even though it went to hell afterward, but still)
What will Sasuke do with a partially destroyed nation that he will have to rebuild with his own hands?
And let's not even talk about the fact that he was consumed by revenge and half-crazy when he talked about this revolution.
I still can't believe there are people who take these words seriously.
I really wonder what kind of revolution they expected with Sasuke in that state of mind?
If it had happened, it would have led to two possible situations:
The death of the last surviving Uchiha or an even more gruesome massacre than the one that wiped out his clan.
Although, considering those who support this pseudo-revolution among his fanbase, the latter option would have suited them just fine.
Another reason that honestly makes me think this thing is stupid is that it doesn't align with the manga's vision.
Kishimoto, despite the few innovative takes he has made several times regarding the plot and some characters, remains a staunch traditionalist. Sasuke would never have become a villain, and he would never have been killed either; that would go against Naruto's dream.
He would also never have become a "revolutionary" challenging the system.
It's not his role; he's not the protagonist.
The character of Sasuke - like all the others, in fact - exists within the limits of the plot; we cannot go beyond and make his character something it was never supposed to be.
Although, for me, it's a good thing that he isn't because his plan was just as bad as Naruto's flawed idealistic vision.
I still think that if Kishimoto had made them talk normally for once, without them having to almost kill each other, if he had made them come to a compromise that would have combined their two ideas, it wouldn't have been as half-baked in the end.
To choose between the plague and cholera, he should have just paired them together -_-
But no, he had to choose nardo's protagonist vision.
Another opinion about Sasuke is his relationship with Naruto, which I find... shaky? overestimated? poorly written?
They share a strong bond, that's an undeniable truth, and you'd have to be pretty stupid to deny that.
It's the main bond in the manga, after all.
But in terms of friendship... I have doubts.
For me, the only reason I believe Sasuke and Naruto are friends is that Kishimoto said so.
We hardly see it in the manga.
Their relationship literally built on years of objectification, selfishness, disdain, rivalry, misunderstanding, resentment, and a huge savior complex.
Naruto made Sasuke his priority not out of genuine concern but because he wanted to prove he was worthy of being Hokage, and for that, Sasuke had to come back at all costs.
That's not friendship; it's selfishness and objectification.
Oh, I don't doubt that he cared, but the problem is that the manga doesn't really show us that.
Moreover, this idea that "Naruto understands Sasuke" is, for me, a bunch of nonsense.
Maybe he does so at a superficial level because of their slightly similar experiences, but if we go deeper?
Naruto doesn't really understand him, and it showed particularly when he learned the truth about the Uchiha massacre.
For Sasuke, it's more complicated.
He has a lot of mitigating circumstances that actually explain his behavior (Itachi being alive, the curse of hatred).
But in general, he played the role of an antagonist for most of Shippuden, and the fact that his character arc didn't revolve around Naruto made him some kind of insensitive jerk to everyone - at least on the surface - .
If Sasuke wanted to take revenge on the world, Naruto wanted to save him.
And neither of them was willing to give in on that.
I'm not going to judge Naruto for not caring about Sasuke's goals after Itachi's death. Who in their right mind would support such a plan?
It was supporting a one-way ticket to self-destruction.
And I'm not going to judge Sasuke for the numerous attempts to kill Naruto because that would be unfair.
However, what I judge is how Kishimoto made their communication impossible.
When they start talking seriously, it always has to end with one of them almost dying at the last moment.
Even Vegeta and Goku had more civilized discussions than these two, and that says something.
I like their relationship, but I sometimes find it hard to label them as friends, let alone best friends.
There's a lot of things that haven't been well-managed in there.
Third opinion:
Sasuke is not evil.
He is not the cold, emotionless individual that more than half of this God-forsaken fandom wants him to be.
I never thought I'd classify this as an unpopular opinion, but considering the nonsense I've seen about him, I had to do it. According to this fandom, both among his stans and antis, Sasuke is abusive, sexist, possessive, indifferent, unfaithful, easily manipulable, selfish, a lousy father, and the list goes on.
Of course, he is none of that, but it's always amusing to see people forcing their fantasies onto his character. This guy has always marched to the beat of his own drum; he has no more official truth about him other than this, and that really irritates a lot of people.
Now, onto his big brother:
Itachi... is not a good person (I still can't believe I have to say this).
He is not even a martyr from my perspective.
I really dislike how his character is glorified in certain parts of the fandom. But at the same time, I don't like how he's demonized among the antis.
Itachi is not an angel, but he is not a demon either.
He's selfish and an unparalleled manipulator, but that doesn't make him evil. He can also be gentle, warm, and incredibly loving - though he has a peculiar way of showing it- .
He's a character with a messed-up mentality, and I love him for that. I hate seeing his character being destroyed by people trying to fit him into boxes he doesn't truly belong to; it annoys me.
In the end, Itachi is a tragic character who found himself forced to make horrible choices. His life was just immensely... torturous.
I love him, but given all the mess he caused, his death was both expected and deserved.
He was tired, disillusioned, sick, and with a list of Uchiha deaths as long as Tobirama's (not to mention what he did to his brother). So no, the idea that he shouldn't have died is truly ridiculous.
Please, let this tormented man find peace in his death.
I'll stop here because at this point, these are not even unpopular opinions but downright diatribes.

Why i love Amy?
I always, ever since I was a kid, had a soft spot for pink colored female characters, and being exposed to anime, and the ways shows like Sailor Moon, Magic Knight Rayearth or Gunbuster, amongst many other works treated girls with respect as if they were people who are also capable of achieving heroic deeds without shying away from being and acting feminine, made me have great appreciation for them.
My first exposure to Amy was not with Sonic CD, but with Sonic the Fighters. The moment I saw this cute pink hedgehog smash her foes with a big comical hammer, and with a big smile on her face, I was won over. I loved her silliness and her design with all the colors of the rainbow.
Then when Sonic Adventure 1 came out, I loved her redesign as if was extremely cute and gave her the feel she was someone in life. Her story where she grows from a helpless girl to a hero who fights not only for those in distress like the little bird, but who also feels empathy for those who wrong her and even helps them redeem and better themselves is the point by which I decided who my favorite character is. In particular, helping those who are her enemies is a point of her story that redonated very strongly with me, as by that time, I was already immersed in consuming mecha anime and identified how their anti-war themes mirrored with Amy's values in which there is the realization that sometimes our ebemies are just like us, and instead of fighting them, we should reach for them and help them realize that we are not enemies.
Again, in SA2 Amy gives a speech in behalf of humanity which, in it's original JP version, males Shadow understsnd why Maria wanted him to protect earth and humanity. Why something so flawed as humanity was still worth believing in. Why no one has the right to take away the chance that one day humanity can better itself. The kind of speech that only very few have the courage to voice.
I also admire Amy, as silly as it sounds, because out of the whole entire cast, who by the time of their debut all begin at the top of their game (even Cream), Amy had to build herself into a heroine who could keep with the boys, being developed across many games. And it's not only her in-universe history, but also her history within the franchise: how this very mijor character from an obscure manga became one of the 5 most recognizable and importsnt characters in the franchise. It shows that it doesn't matter where we come from, as long as we are constant and true to ourselves, we can achieve great things.
Amy's selfless snd inconditional love for Sonic is something that has always made me feel great sympathy for her. The most memorable momrnt was from Sonic X, and how uppon Sonic's return, she breaks down in tears, expressing everything her heart had to endure before choosing between moving on with life, or waiting for Sonic's return, even if it meant doing so until she became old. Her devotion was very moving to me, for no one loves Sonic like Amy does. No one sacrifices as much as Amy is willing for Sonic's well bring and happiness... not even Tails goes the extra mile as Amy does... and that she does it without expecting anything in return from Sonic, whether it is his affection, recognition or even a simple "thsnk you", speaks volumes of Amy's selfless love.
For that and more, I love Amy, and will never cease to express my support for a character that I cheerish and who won a soft spot in my heart, and will always believe in her and her ideals, for she embodies the beauty of the human heart.

Hashirama’s political marriage to Mito was to strengthen Leaf as a new military village. I get it that the serious lovers of hashisaku pairing, who’re under the impression that this could actually work (’cause Sakura was robbed in Canon; she’s always duking robbed!), aren’t all that bright, but Hashirama tossing aside the wife he took in for political reasons for Sakura ... is one of the most idiotic things I’ve ever heard. What would Sakura offer to him compared to Mito? Nothing. And Tobirama? He was probably ... gay or completely asexual. Why would Sakura interest him? She’s completely ordinary, and she possesses no talent to invent nor any natural ability for him to study. She isn’t even remotely prodigious to even mildly interest him.
So, let me get this straight... You see fit to pick a fight with the shipper of a harmless rarepair, why, again? A ship that barely makes a blip on the Founders' side of the fandom's radar, just to bandwagon the same shit Sakura-anti's have been peddling for years? Aside from the fact that your argument is the most tired bullshit in existence, I'm going to state it over in case it's not getting through your thick skull:
The ship on places like tumblr or twitter are tagged. On Ao3, it's tagged. Instead of bitching and moaning about a ship you could easily avoid, you could block the tags and move on. It's not fucking rocket science. If you go out of your way to seek it, that's a you-issue, not that of us shippers.
Secondly, why is it the Founders' fandom only gets possessive of Hashirama when shipping him with Sakura is involved? From what I've seen, you all are happy to shit on Hashi's character for miles around, belittling him as a dumb idiot who can't function without his brother as if he wasn't the most powerful shinobi in the fucking series, who was a charismatic military leader capable of bringing even his clan's sworn and ancient enemies under the fold to unite in a revolutionary village that was his idea in the first place? But no, unless it's convenient, he's either dumb as a rock or people hamfist one-dimensional yandere tropes to make his brother or Madara look like poor little meow-meows.
And don't even get me started on how ya'll treat Hashimito, let alone Mito. 'Political marriage', where? Show me irrevocable proof that Hashimito was only a political marriage, that Hashirama didn't grow to love and cherish his wife with time. I mean, fuck's sake, this pairing was the blueprint for ships like Dantsu, Minakushi, and Naruhina, but instead your reductive take was that it was just for political gain? Or how she's the awful, bad lady who gets in the way of pairings like Hashimada (even if smart people polyship them, but I guess I'm not one of them, according to you).
Again with the headcanons. Show me complete and utter proof that a manga with heteronormative endgame ships that Tobirama was gay or asexual. (And don't bring SNS into the mix when Kishi literally based them off his relationship with his twin brother, you naughty incest shippers! /s)
Oh, but the horror of shipping him with Sakura! In a horrible, terrible ship that barely has 50 fics to its name! Won't someone think of the poor Hashimada shippers who have almost ~2k fics on Ao3? Or Tobimada that blitzes well past it when Tobisaku has barely 120? Goodness gracious, someone save them!
I mean, who can ever think of shipping the poor Senju bros with a woman who didn't even exist in their era, who is usually transplanted via Genswap or time travel AU's? In fanworks that absolutely affect canon! Wow, she's such a threat! I mean, gosh, she's just soooo useless with how she became the strongest kunoichi in the Leaf, the greatest med-nin in the world after her master's retirement, who was so gosh-darn useless as the heroine! I mean, it's not like she could mesh well with Hashirama who's stated to have healing abilities greater than Tsunade! Oh, they'd never get along. And I bet she'd never get her foot through the door with Tobirama, especially since Sakura's expertise with biomedical sciences would grate so much against his own expertise in similar fields! And the fact that they share similar values just wouldn't do! Y'know, since their shared morals and desire to protect humanity and the village just wouldn't work! Awful, just awful.
Also... why on earth do you assume Tobirama would want to boink a test subject? I don't know about you, but that sounds awfully belittling despite how high of an esteem you hold for you him, supposedly. So what if she isn't test subject-worthy? I don't know about you, but I sure as hell wouldn't want to fuck someone I'm about to cut into, but that's just me. (And for the love of gods, don't bring Tobimada into this. Saying that every Tobimada shipper sees this as the sole reason they ship it is, again, pretty damn insulting to them lmao--)
Besides that, Sakura has invented jutsu before, my dear, pea-brained friend. She created Cherry Blossom Impact, drastically expanded on chakra-enhanced strength in the novels, devised the Delicate Illness Extraction Technique, a chakra radar, among others. But, again, if you dilute your reasons for shipping a pairing based on how much jutsu they've invented, who's being shallow here, exactly? The way I see it, Tobirama would want to be with someone intelligent who is strong enough to protect the village and who shares similar values as him. Why would he care about arbitrary things like how much he could experiment on? He's not Dr. Frankenfurter, please.
And even if people ship them because they self-insert in Sakura and want to ship her because she's the heroine and some rando, Founder or otherwise, is hot, who cares? This is fucking fandom. Shipping isn't activism or a career, and sure as hell doesn't add anything to canon except enjoyment in the fanbase. It's 2022 and it's too late in Naruto's existence to care about intellectual quandaries surrounding shipping, of all things. If you do, then good lord--see a therapist. Get a different hobby outside of fandom, it sounds like you need it.
But, thanks for being an amusing waste of time. I'll be sure to reflect on this when I continue writing my Foundersaku stories, buh-bye!

I really don't understand the hypocrisy of some Naruto fans - a rant (part 2).
(Trigger warning - anti Hinata.)
Why the f people are comparing Hinata (a background character) to Sakura (a heroine) as if Hinata is gonna look better in comparison????
The things that I have seen in the Fandom really make me question people's ability to read.
PART 2
(I want to provide manga as a proof, but Tumblr has a limit of pictures i can add, so I'll do it in parts)
"Useless" character:
Tumblr media
Tumblr media
Tumblr media
Aka I'll help everyone!
"Useful" character:
Tumblr media
Aka Naruto-kun 🥺
"Nice/caring" character:
Tumblr media
Aka Neji is dead but... Naruto has such big hands 🥺
"Rude/uncaring character:
Tumblr media
Aka giving strangers food
Tumblr media
Or aka saving strangers lives
"Selfless" character:
Tumblr media
Aka you have just told me that you will be punished if I got hurt, but I WANNA NARUTO-KUN so... be punished 🤷‍♀️
"Selfish" character:
Tumblr media
Tumblr media
Aka I don't care about myself, but are others ok???
______________________
I can go on and on, but people just don't understand a thing or didn'tread the story at all.
They call Hinata useful when she didn't do a thing.
They call her nice and caring, because she is shy and timid, but only people she cares about is Naruto and herself.
They call her selfless, when she doesn't give a damn about people who aren't Naruto or her.
Can someone explain to me why, when and how?????
I'm confused 🤷‍♀️

The Fed Up Office Lady Wants to Serve the Villainess Volume 1 Quick Review
Tumblr media
In the world of yuri Isekai The Fed Up Office Lady Wants to Serve the Villainess stands out as being pretty different from the rest of the pack. This manga skips reincarnation as a plot element all together. Instead when pulling on her gacha she is pulled into the world by The VIllainess summoned to the world instead at the start of the story of the gacha game.
The office lady has the main heroine and villainess fall for her, fairly clearly inside of the first volume. While they are clearly in love with her and she clearly has some sort of feeling back she seems to be trapped in a heteroparadigm. When she has feelings about the villainess she thinks it is purely the feeling of being appreciated for her work and for the heroine she thinks she is just admiring her favorite character. The manga provides a lot of amazing art and panels of the art.
Politically this manga so far fails to try anything particularly exciting. It has a story of commoners rising against the nobility in the plot but it's not even the part of the plot our hero cares about, the event she is trying to stop is her getting killed for trying to wipe out the anti-noble movement with stolen magic. So far it's totally avoided talking about queer ID, our hero, Natalie just wants to be appreciated for her work, she is very basic in her desires. Natalie likely considers herself a totally average woman. In this volume at least there isn't really commenting on anything.
The romance dynamics are fairly cute but they run into one big issue. Our main character is 25 years old, it's stated multiple times explicitly and the main girls who are in love with her are 15. I don't care about age gaps normally, as long as everyone is an adult it's fine but here that is not the case. Like they are gacha game characters, intended to be appealing to adults, intended to functionally function as adult in the plot but regardless it is a little weird. To be fair that weirdness is in many gacha games so I guess as a love letter to gacha and classic VNs it is weird in exactly the way those games are.
I found the manga charming and a fun read with great art but I am hoping there is something more in further volumes. I'm In Love With the Villainess had a weaker first volume for it's manga although I doubt this series will reach the heights of that series. I am also not sure how things with the romance will go comfort wise. Regardless, I would say it's an enjoyable read and if you like really subby women in your sapphic romance, this might be the one for you.
[If you enjoy this review consider sending me support on Patreon so I can make more gay art and read/review more gay art.]
