Alle tanzten mit dem Tod / Everybody danced with Death.
"Brothers, he who dies here dies in the radiance of the future, and we are entering a tomb all flooded with dawn."
or,
Enjolras & Death at the Barricade.
Commission was done by @pufferfishartblogorsth
Inspired by this performance of Martin Pasching (Enjolras) and Uwe Kroeger (Javert) at Les Mis Berlin 2004, reenacting their roles as Crown Prince Rudolf (Martin Pasching) and der Tod/Death (Uwe Kroeger) in Elisabeth das Musical.
Model for Enjolras is David Jakob (Enjolras in Les Mis Tecklenburg 2018) and Mark Seibert (der Tod in EdM, various productions)
Pose reference is this picture of Oliver Arno as der Tod and Thomas Hohler as Rudolf in EdM Antwerp 2009

1. FINALLY GINO TOD OMG
I (and so many other ppl) have been asking for this for ages and I can't believe it's really happening!!!!!!!!!!!!
2. Omg the people who said that Annemieke was the only main Vienna Elisabeth missing and that she should/could do the concert next... were right 😁😁😁😁 Interested to see her portrayal! (Also PLEASE I hope this means they won't split the role anymore, since Annemieke is not even ten years older than Abla...)
3.

Today was a concert to honor Sylvester Levay! I watched it on the TV and I loved Mark Seibert, Nienke Latten and Annemieke van Dam so much! Everyone was amazing tho. My highlight was „Wenn ich tanzen will“ from Elisabeth and „Hilf mir durch die Nacht“ from Rebecca. Also I‘m very new to Tumblr, hi! I spent a lot of my time on browsing on it but I never really posted anything. I hope I‘ll be able to meet some nice people on here! :)

I love that me discovering Mark Seibert was so casual like:
Me, casually collecting every Elisabeth audio I could get my hands on six years ago: Oh, he sounds nice, but I don't like the Elisabeth much.
Me three weeks ago while watching a compilation of the Meyering kiss: Okay, why were people so cross at his Der Tod again? It's not like he can disobey the director.
Me, three days later after watching a bootleg: Still no idea of why the dislike. I guess he is just one of those popular actors that some of the loud fandom voices like to complain about. Oh, he was in Rebecca.
Me, two days later seeing a comment saying he performed Maxim de Winter 'too sympathetic' and seeing a short clip of the rehearsals: Never mind, I love him now.
