a/n : i saw his performance and i think i died a little on the inside — he’s an amazing performer omfg😭 anyways enjoy this little bit i wrote after watching him sing and dance on the show!

“look who’s back, mr masked singer!” you chime as seungmin opens the apartment door, his hair tousled and windblown. you get up from the couch with a groan before standing in front of him, a smile on both of your faces.

“haish, stop it!” he swats your hand away when you try to pinch his cheek, a light pink hue settling on them. you giggle, caressing his face as a silent “apology”, and yet you didn’t regret teasing him at all.

“so, how was my performance then?” he asks expectantly, still standing in the hallway, back now facing you while taking off his coat.

“your singing was exceptional as usual,” his cheeks lift from his smile at your words, but drop when you finish the rest of your sentence. “but, i have to admit, you weren’t the sneakiest with your dancing.” you give him a knowing look whilst sliding his coat off his shoulders. he turns around quickly, a look of disbelief on his face.

“hey! what’s wrong with my dancing?” he pouts and pretends to be hurt, wiping away a few false tears from his eyes.

“it was very..” you paused trying to find the right words for it, wanting to describe his dancing as specifically as possible. “um, how do i put it, JYP?” you finally find the right “word” for it, and seungmin once again looks offended. you put away his coat, hearing him grumbling under his breath.

“hey! i’m just paying respects to my boss!” you look unimpressed when he starts to do the exact same dance to hype boy by new jeans, and you have to resist the urge to face palm.

“okay, okay. stop!” a laugh escapes your lips, watching him boldly mimic how his boss dances. he laughs too, watching a few more giggles come out from your lips, a flush dusting your face.

“so my singing was alright?” he asks as he moves to sit on the floor to take off his shoes, trying to chuck them off as quickly as possible so that he can jump onto the couch. you move to sit across him, watching him untie his laces.

“as i said, exceptional. i am surprised though.” he looks up and pauses his movements, urging you to continue talking. “who wouldn’t recognise you the moment you start singing?” his lips turn into a thin line, a deadpan expression forming on his face.

“how do you expect me to change my voice huh?” he finally finishes taking off his shoes, taking you into his arms for a much needed hug.

“i never said to change it, i’m just saying it’s really recognisable. in a good way of course.” you move your head away from his chest to look at him, a fond look on his face. he only shakes his head, before resting his chin on the crown on your head, a sigh escaping his lips. you stay like that for a while, on the floor together with bodies smushed together.

after finally moving to the couch to resume the cuddle session, you lay on top of seungmin, his hands encircling your waist.

“i have to say you looked extremely handsome when you took off your mask though.” you tilt your head to look at him, finding him already staring at you. clearly, you gave him an unwanted ego boost when you see him card his hands through his hair. he flips it over snd it falls exactly like how it did in the video you saw. you don’t want to admit, but you find him devastatingly handsome.

“like that?” he gives you a smirk, and you feel your face heat up.

“never mind i said anything.” you say quickly, your face tilting back down and turning away from him to face the other way.

“baby.” he whines, shaking you in his grasp. he pouts again, and this time you give into his cuteness.

“i’m joking. yes, like that. god, you are so fucking handsome.” well, there goes the whole “not wanting to admit he’s gorgeous” thing.

he chuckles, the same pink hue settling on his cheeks again. he kisses your lips and gives you a peck on the cheek, a goofy grin on his face.

“why thank you then.” he kisses you again, and you gladly reciprocate.

“you’re most welcome, my masked singer.”
