most of all, he loves listening to them talk about the plot. often smirking as they get higher pitched from excitement.

the day he takes them — as a gift — to choose whatever book they like from a bookstore in the city, he’s not sure anything can wipe off his smile. the way their heart practically skips out of their chest, their arms flinging around his neck.
