Blue Hill Avenue planners begin a new round of public meetings; No decision yet on center-lane bus idea | Dorchester Reporter
If those who support a center BRT line want faster neighborhood buy in, they should consider installing this as a street car / light rail service.

“Liz Miranda is not only the right choice, but the only choice for our next state Senator -- a daughter of Roxbury born and bred, Liz not only sees but understands the struggles we face, from housing to immigration and education to ending mass incarceration and strengthening re-entry programs. We need a bold effective leader in the 2nd Suffolk State Senate, that person is Liz Miranda." — Said Abdikarim “Liz Miranda waa qofka kaliya u qalma in loo doorto State Senator. Waxey ku dhalatay Roxbury. Waxay fahan santahay dhibaatooyinka na heysta . Oo ka mid xaga guryaha, wax barashada, socdaalka, iyo dhibaatoyinka xabiska. Boston Police Look for Nah-Tayleigh Brown – NECN
Boston Police Look for Nah-Tayleigh Brown – NECN
A girl from Boston’s Roxbury neighborhood has been missing for nearly a week, police said Thursday, asking for the public’s help in finding her. Nah-Tayleigh Brown was reported missing from her home, in Roxbury’s Dewey Terrace, on Saturday, and was last seen about 6 p.m. Friday, Boston police said. Police did not initially give Nah-Tayleigh’s age, but later said she is 13. Officers spoke to her…

This Tuesday Milton Massachusetts votes on the implementation of the MBTA Communities Act, which is pivotal towards more housing being built on the mattapan branch of the red line. Please get out the vote if you know anyone who lives there!

Note
Not an ask I just wanted to give MBTA propaganda because of your last ask:
- You can take the blue line to the beach (blue, like water)
- We have the boylston curve (sharpest light rail turn anywhere and there are grease guns that spray the wheels when the train goes by) which causes track noise audible through the concrete (it’s green so you know it’s safe)
- The mattapan trolleys are so cute
- The BRT that replaced the old orange line alignment is the silver line because it came in second place (to the old street cars)
- The red and orange lines are supposed to be on fire that’s why they are color coded like that
They make Trolleys out of Marzipan? And the curve is made of a ton of boys? What's going on in Boston

exactly how long would it have to go on to justify 7 years in this person's mind?

that's what someone takes away from this? that Brock Turner (who was convicted in another state and got a light sentence from a judge who has since been recalled) should be the standard?

Boston Metro (Red Line Trains)
The Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA) operates heavy-rail, light-rail, and bus transit services in the Boston metropolitan area, collectively referred to as the rapid transit, subway, or the Tsystem.
The color-branded lines consist of three heavy-rail lines (Red, Orange, and Blue), one branched light-rail system (Green), and a short light-rail line (the Ashmont–Mattapan High-Speed Line, colored as part of the Red Line). All except the Ashmont–Mattapan line operate in tunnels in the downtown area, but no route operates entirely underground, and only 31 out of the system's 147 stations are located underground. The five branches of the Silver Line bus are also shown as part of the rapid transit system. Three branches operate underground as bus rapid transit and charge rapid-transit fares; two branches operate entirely on the surface and charge lower bus fares.

i think we should replace the silver line with streetcars again and modernize the mattapan line.
Streetcars are really cool and I dont like that they're only really as far west and north as the Green Lines.
Downside to this plan is tht it could possibly close down the silver line for a while. But, since the current ones are busses, we could probably redirect them to a nearby street level spot in the interim.
Mattapan line would suffer while it's being updated, but it's already off-line most of the Winter, so there might be some way to work with that.
And, honestly, we could probably use the silver line busses on some of our key bus routes in the mean time. Those things are big. Maybe specifically the 23, 28, and 29 (not free) to differentiate the currently free bus routes more clearly.
Boston's key bus routes (15 lines containing 40% of the whole bus ridership) are (currently free routes highlit in pink):
1
15
22
23
28
32
39
57
66
71
73
77
111
116
117
Which, overall I think should be expanded and given larger busses.
The revamping of the Silver Line could also just be the ones that are already featured at train rates instead of bus rates.
