“Hidden but Not Hidden” By Bible Love Notes:
“Psalm 119:11 says: “I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you.”
In this verse, hidden doesn't mean concealing God's Word. It means storing it up and treasuring it in our hearts.
If you read all 176 verses of Psalm 119, you'll discover many ways that the psalmist hid God's Word in his heart. For example:
Psalm 119:9-16: “How can a young person stay on the path of purity? By living according to your word. 10 I seek you with all my heart; do not let me stray from your commands. 11 I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you. 12 Praise be to you, LORD; teach me your decrees. 13 With my lips I recount all the laws that come from your mouth. 14 I rejoice in following your statutes as one rejoices in great riches. 15 I meditate on your precepts and consider your ways. 16 I delight in your decrees; I will not neglect your word.”
In these verses, the psalmist hides God's Word by:
1. Obeying it – verse 9. “But don’t just listen to God’s word. You must do what it says. Otherwise, you are only fooling yourselves. For if you listen to the word and don’t obey, it is like glancing at your face in a mirror. You see yourself, walk away, and forget what you look like. But if you look carefully into the perfect law that sets you free, and if you do what it says and don’t forget what you heard, then God will bless you for doing it.” —James 1:22‭-‬25 (NLT)
2. Seeking God in it – verse 10. “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.” —Matthew 6:33 (NKJV)
3. Studying it with the Spirit's help – verse 12. “But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.” —John 14:26 (NKJV)
4. Reciting it – verse 13. “Let the message about Christ, in all its richness, fill your lives. Teach and counsel each other with all the wisdom he gives. Sing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs to God with thankful hearts.” —Colossians 3:16 (NLT)
5. Enjoying it – verse 14. “The commandments of the Lord are right, bringing joy to the heart. The commands of the Lord are clear, giving insight for living.” —Psalm 19:8 (NLT)
6. Meditating on it – verse 15. “Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things.” —Philippians 4:8 (NKJV)
7. Spending time regularly in it – verse 16. “—”Study and do your best to present yourself to God approved, a workman [tested by trial] who has no reason to be ashamed, accurately handling and skillfully teaching the word of truth.” —2 Timothy 2:15 (AMP)
Are you “hiding” God's Word in your heart?”

God of the impossible
“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen”
I prayed a bit of crazy prayer today.
I feel as though lately that is all i have been doing...praying to God and asking Him about things which in the natural seem impossible.
Really impossible.
And yet, i have this faith and this hope that God is working it out. i have this faith and trust in Him that He is doing something in the background that i cannot see nor fathom.
Today at church we had a special guest preacher and at the very end of the message he brings up these two bible verses - the only two he read today.
______________
1 John 5:14-15
Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him.
and also
Matthew 6:33
But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
_______________
He said something awesome - that seeking God and searching for His will for our lives can only be found through reading the word of God.
Because the reality is that when you seek God and when you search for Him with your whole heart through His word which He has made available to us, God will begin to reveal to you things that you cannot even begin to imagine.
God will show you what His will is for your life and then when you begin to pray to Him, you will be praying according to His will.
It is a mystery and a secret that He has revealed to me lately.
That seeking Him and praying to Him and immersing myself in His word is the key to unlocking His plans for our lives. and then once you have done that and He has revealed what He wants for your life, you get to partner with God in praying for it and seeing it come to pass.
God really will give us what we want - so long as what we want is according to His will and i am seeing that now. I am seeing that it is possible to align your mind and your heart with what God wants for you.
There is something i have been praying for and for the past couple of years i wondered and wondered if it was God’s will for my life.
Upon seeking Him in my quiet place (my car ha) He began to show me that it is His will for my life but notice this - He waited for an appointed time to show me what His will is.
I kind of felt this impression that what my promise is coming in this season and i began to feel led to pray about it - and by pray about it i mean i felt led to pray and call it into being according to the will of God and in the name of Jesus Christ.
So...
That impossible thing?
Well it’s not very impossible then is it?
I am trusting that as i am seeking God and His kingdom and His righteousness, He is showing me some really cool things and one of those things is that i serve the one and only living God who just happens to be a God who loves working with impossible.
Abraham and Sarah, Moses and the Red Sea, Joseph and prison, David and Goliath and then David and Saul, Esther and the genocide, Gideon and his small army, the wall of Jericho, Noah and the Ark, Jesus and the water into wine, Jesus and conquering death. Jesus and the resurrection.
These are all impossible things. Things that in the physical and natural realm should not have happened at all.
And yet,
The God i serve is a God who just loves the impossible because it reflects the glory back on to Him.
He loves to show us who He is and He loves to reveal His character to us and i think one way He does it is through all of the impossible things we give up on or give up hoping for.
I suppose in my seeking God, i have realised that there is no such thing as impossible with Him. I cannot limit Him nor can i place Him in box.
And so right now - i place this (the thing on my heart) in His hands.
and I say - God. Take that which is seemingly impossible and mould it into a tangible reality which no eye has seen, nor ear heard nor human mind ever conceived (1 Cor 2:9). I trust that you are good! i trust that you hear my prayers (Jeremiah 29:12). I trust that when i ask for something according to your will and in the name of Jesus Christ, it is already done (John 14:14). And so in this moment Father, i hand over my hopes and dreams and wishes. I pray that in this moment where that thing - that desire, that hope, that promise - seems so distant and impossible, that you be with me. guiding me and showing me your goodness so i may have faith in who YOU are
Dear God. thank you for it is done!

by Janet Mylin | Mathew 6:33 is an often quoted passage of Scripture, but do you ever truly consider what it means? Honestly, until recently I’d only ever thought of that Scripture within the context of money and material possessions, but now I see it more like this...

[A key phrase] in Matthew is to seek first ‘the Kingdom and its righteousness’, for righteousness is a very special Jewish concept for Matthew. It is both the righteousness of God-- God’s observance of His promises, the [unfailing] saving righteousness of God in which we can only be bathed and rejoice-- and the human righteousness of lovingly obeying God’s loving gift of the Law. [Defined by such harmony, it is clear that true] 'righteousness' is not self-righteousness, for it is the divine gift of ‘being right with God’ in loving obedience.

What Prayer Isn’t About
By Greg Laurie on Mar 16, 2024 “Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need.” —Matthew 6:33 Prayer isn’t about changing God’s mind. In many cases, prayer is about changing our minds. When Jesus taught His disciples to pray, He told them, “Pray like this: Our Father in heaven, may your name be kept holy. May your Kingdom come soon. May…

A Bonfire of Vanity: Advice From the Wisest Man Who Ever Lived
Tom Wolfe (who wrote, “The Bonfire of the Vanities”) said, “The surest cure for vanity is loneliness.” Another person who understood vanity was (an older and somewhat jaded) King Solomon. After living a life of wealth and achievement, and after marrying hundreds of wives and keeping dozens of concubines, he wrote this: “Now all has been heard; here is the conclusion of the matter: Fear God and…

“But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” —Matthew 6:33
“To seek God does not narrow one's life, rather it brings it to the level of highest possible fulfillment.” —A.W. Tozer
“He Deserves The Highest Place!” By “Lover of Your Soul - Jesus!”
“Our lives have become a rush, a life of busyness, where we have a huge list of things to accomplish, to do one after the other. We seem to get no rest and toil relentlessly for our lives on this earth to be secure and sure. Right from the moment we wake up until the moment we hit the bed, we move on from one thing to the another, trying to check off the list of pending tasks we have been committed to. Our minds are so very pre-occupied with all our commitments and responsibilities that at the end of the day, we are worn out, tired, and sometimes even frustrated that things didn’t go according to our plan.
In all this busyness of life, we don’t have time for ourselves and also tend to forget our relationships with those around us, and even our relationship with God tends to take a back seat. It is high time we change our schedules, and set our priorities right. Though your commitments and responsibilities in this world are essential, though you need to work out all of them seriously, all of them will pass away and at the end of your life, only your relationship with God and those around you will last. Only your relationship with your Savior on this earth will decide and determine your life after death.
The Lord God who created you, loves you and cares for you, He is the only One who deserves the highest place, the highest honor in your life. Not a single soul on earth, nor any of your commitments and responsibilities can or should take the place of the Lord God in your life. He deserves all the glory, honor, praise and offering you can ever give. Every single breath of yours, every single step you take, should be taken in order to give Him glory. Setting Him above all things you care about, giving Him the highest place in your life more than anyone you love, seeking His face and presence in your life more than anything else, will cause Him to be pleased with you and you will be blessed spiritually and physically!”
