Little did you know, about three weeks ago, Max had started saving up for a ring so he could properly propose to you.

He started saving for the ring shortly after the day you walked in on him watching one of the blue films in his store. And instead of getting mad at him or frowning, you simply cracked open a drink and blatantly made a joke about something the guy was doing on-screen. Then, you sat on his lap and continued to watch with him. And that, was the lightbulb moment that made Max California think for the first time, "I gotta marry them. Just...fucking do it."

So three days ago, with a stack of cash in hand, Max went to the pawn shop during his lunch break and bought the best-looking ring

He ended up choosing a silver band with a square diamond on it, "the kind of ring that a girl would say yes to."

"Listen...." Max began, lighting a cigarette for him and one for you. "I've been doing something thinking...about us. I think about you a lot, baby...I'm not really good with this kind of thing, so I'm just going to say it."

Just when you thought he was going to break up with you, Max surprised you by taking out the little box from his back pocket and going down on one knee.

"I love you...I love you so fucking much. Will you marry me? And make me the luckiest guy in the world?"

Whenever I see the California team arriving in Hawkins all smiles and hug and joyous reunions between characters it's so sad to me. Because they don't know yet. Mike doesn't know Eddie died, he doesn't even know Eddie was apart of it or what he did. El doesn't know her dad is coming home yet but she knows Max is alive and that's what matters. Do Will and Jonathan even know Vecna isn't dead? Can Will already feel him coming back? The kids don't know one of their best friends held a man as he died. Did Eleven tell them about how Lucas screamed over Max's body, do they know Max almost died.

They don't know anything yet, they think they've won like they've done so many times before. They don't know how much they've lost.

After Max gets all clear from the doctors that she doesn’t need check ups or physical therapy appointments or anything, can live her life as normal as possible now the party obviously wants to celebrate that. And obviously Max gets to decide whatever she wants and she wants a trip to California. She wants to get away from Hawkins just for a little while and she wants to go skateboarding like she used to. And sure it’s a little pricey request but it’s what she really wants and who are the others to say no. At least Steve is not able to say no so he would take her all alone if that’s what it takes. She is worth it.

And it’s two birds with one stone too if the Hopper-Byers are still located there. So yeah they’re going and they can meet them there and at least the kids can stay the nights there right? Have little sleepovers and fun and just be normal teenagers. So yeah they’re going. They make the plans and pack their bags and go.

And Max really wanted to go skating so that’s what they do even tho they all don’t know how to skate but some of them got their rollerblades. And the point is just to hang out and have fun together anyway. But Max and all the rest are really surprised when Eddie pulls out his own skateboard and apparently can skate. It’s not impossible to skate in Hawkins but it’s really not the best place for it either so Eddie is very thrilled to be on this trip.

And Eddie is pretty good. Normally. And he is about to show how good exactly but ends up face planting on the pavement the moment he steps on his skateboard because that is also the moment he sees Steve Harrington in all his rollerblading glory. In his criminally short shorts and little knee pads and sleeveless shirt and his already sun kissed skin and… Yeah Eddie was not ready for that. (He recovers eventually. Partially at least)

This would be what Robin and Steve look like. Robin with suspenders because she is cute like that and Steve in his denim shorts and tight yellow shirt because he is a wh0re<3

And I can’t help but imagine the scene where Eddie tries to teach Steve how to skateboard. He might be athletic but he has never stepped on a skateboard so he is holding on to Eddie for his dear life and Eddie is enjoying every moment of it. (Even the part where Dustin whines because Eddie didn’t offer/refused to teach him but is now teaching Steve)
