I think we need to start ignoring media again. There is media made for things I love that I ignore cause it is inevitably inconsequential to how I experience and enjoy the thing in my specific way. Like you can still watch or read or take in whatever it is but you don’t need to incorporate into how you enjoy the thing. It can just not exist for you in that aspect and it’s honestly less stressful and easier to do that than figure out how to make something you don’t care for into something you like.

When you try to force that connection or link or whatever you just end of tainting your own view of what you liked and now your even more upset than if you just went “huh… anyway back to my thing.”

#like just have something be cut off for you #there’s so many things I just don’t take as canon or ignore despite watching or playing cause it’s my experience #I make things up in my head for me and if it doesn’t fit it stays out of my cranium #this is both about fallout but in general like if you don’t vibe with canon ignore it #it’s ur blog and fics and art and mind you can do whatever and not owe a single person shit #I get it’s upsetting but it creates a loop of all you worry about is canons effect on ur already altered non canon complient oc and events #just enjoy what you do like pick and choose #that’s your like biggest privilege as a fan of something and not a creator

I have no clue if I have made a post like this, but: unfollow those blogs, accounts, or whomever who pressure you to have your hobby become a career/profession/True Craft. Unfollow them. Block them if you still see them on your feed if need be. If you feel horrible about yourself and your art when you Consume Their Content, unfollow.

When I made a conceited effort to only follow and enjoy shared craft from those not in the Hustle Grindset, my eagerness to enjoy my work flourished. I don't feel as guilty being too busy/anxious to crochet because I know there isn't anything wrong with not being on the grindset, and I think that's because I guard this craft seriously, and I want others to shamelessly do the same. Guard your happiness, not because it's "selfish," but because you deserve it. You deserve to enjoy your things.

im so mad that this is a side blog account and not a main account. i started this blog when i was still relatively new to tumblr and i think i was… like. fourteen years old or something. i never thought i would continue for this long, and i never knew so many people would like the content i put out here (i have over 9k followers which is literally mind-blowing, like wow….).

because this isnt a main account, i cant respond to replies left on my posts, i cant really reply to anyone unless i reblog !! i cant even follow people with this blog, it just comes up as my main blog (which is not pjo-related… rip my failed attempts at organising my fandoms to different blogs). so my avenues of interaction with a lot of you are seriously impeded.

so i just want to say i am so thankful for all of you, i read every single person’s tags who reblog my stuff, i read all of your replies and every time im crying screaming rolling around on the ground in agony over the fact i CANT REPLY!!

i know my posts are super inconsistent these days, im glad so many are still here! i think i may change some of my content eventually (never gonna get rid of the incorrect quote stuff, i’ll just be adding some other things like pjo headcanons or analyses or something), just to spice some stuff up on here.
