timeskip Molly concepts - probably when she's around 16-17 ish, maybe even early college? ( I'm not a big fan of the "ooh the bubbly character gets older and is now SUPER SAD" trope so this is more like... Molly is still Molly, she just gets older and faces more hardships/life stressors that come with age, and struggles to maintain the same high level of positivity/resiliency she used to have )

#still a generally happy enthusiastic person but finds more and more that she sometimes has to put on a facade yknow?#has to go soul searching for purpose and meaning in a real genuine way that reinvigorates her #probably something to do with ghost world shenanigans but ~ooh something happens~ and she gets separated from her body somehow #and ollie libby june and darryl have to find help and reconnect w/ andrea and meet alina #and finally ofc hunt down todd and adia and rope them in #todd goes through a ghost portal after much convincing to come retrieve wraith molly and return her detached joyful spirit to her body #and in him becoming scratch again for a short while - to return molly's soul to herself - he of course must return to his own body #and begins to recall some lost memories of his time as a ghost including their friendship #and itslike. a lesson on reaching out and asking for help when you feel yourself slipping away from who you used to be but from molly's POV #and trusting loved ones to know you well enough to put your pieces back together right and make you whole again. or something #the ghost and molly mcgee #tgamm #molly mcgee

i love dawn and willows relationship like- so much. So honestly one of the things i spend most time thinking about is like times theyve bonded in the fake memories.

you want examples? well, i will provide:

the first time they met. willow is over at buffys house for the first time. she has no clue buffy has a sister cause buffys embarrassed. dawn has heard all about willow cause buffy thinks willow is fucking awsome. dawn pretty instanly very much agrees. Willow eats dinner at the summers, the whole family is bickering and apologises for it but willow being used to quiet and cold or just lonley dinners adores it.

Halloween in s2. Joyce is out of town (like in canon) and buffy sure as hell doesnt want to take dawn. and joyce doesnt want her with a stranger so willow offers to take her with the rest of her kids. Dawn who hasnt hit her growth spurt can wear the same costume as last year(a witch) and stays herself the whole night. When willow leaves the group to talk to giles she puts dawn in charge to make sure no one gets themselves or anyone else killed, her included. cause with slayer princess, shooty xander and cordelia, shes the most reliable and she knows dawn can be responsible if it calls for it, sometimes. Dawn loves willow more than ever and when its all over she quietly admits she was terrified and willow says she did wonderfully.

the end of s2. dawn is staying over at the hospital while willow is in her coma (and that way misses buffy and joyces fight). Shes as terrified as the rest. shes there when willow does her first spell, she thinks its so much cooler than being a slayer.

between season 2 and 3. joyce is depressed and spending alomst all her time looking for buffy. willow is guilty cause she thinks she failed the soul spell, and therefore caused buffy running away. she comes over with cookies and realises dawn is kinda being neglected, so she offers to babysit. Joyce appreciates it a lot. willow thinks its nice too, takes her mind of her guilt and this way she can get out of her empty house and almost pretend she has a family.(she does, the scoobies, dawn and joyce included, but like yk what i mean, normal family)

gingerbread. MOO never tried to kill dawn but they stopped her from interfering and kept her close saying stuff like "were doing this for you, the children". She doesnt talk to her mom to at least a week and when she bumps into Sheila in the street she spits on her.

i actually did have an idea for a short comic about them, but i really forgot about it until around a few months ago when i drew up a few potential redesigns for both of them. they're really still up in the air - i might end up selling them as adopts, but i do actually want to do something with them!

(also, here are the redesign sketches from around may-ish? i might end up finishing these designs when i'm in the mood to draw more halloweeny stuff, though they'll probably look a lot different as my artstyle + chara design work has improved)

#taz #taz: balance #it’s NARRATIVELY PERFECT #like yes they hella ignored the mechanics to make it happen but on the pure improvisational level #it’s absolutely fucking NUTS to me what they pulled off in that moment #because in that moment ALL THREE OF THEM set aside their personal fears and self-doubts for the sake of their friends #Magnus who always wanted to go out in a blaze of glory #who has just lost even his revenge quest #fights so DESPERATELY HARD to STAY ALIVE and relies on his friends to rescue him #Taako ‘good out here’ Taaco who throws HIS WHOLE SOUL OUT OF HIS BODY #despite being on the verge of death already he leaves himself utterly defenseless to throw himself into danger for magnus’s sake #merle who has ALWAYS doubted his place in the group and is actively losing his powers #doesn’t hesitate and doesn’t question his own competence #instead he plants himself and becomes the root that anchors them and brings them home #and because right after this they reunite with Barry and start getting the reveals about the voidfish #this is functionally the climax and culmination of their arc as a trio #they found each other and learned to trust each other again and they became friends who would do anything for each other #even without their memories!!!! they did that!!!!!!!!#what happens after then gets to build onto and around that relationship #so that the finale gives us the trio whose bond has been deepened and multiplied by stolen century #but they’re still THEM. still the trio we have grown to know and love throughout the whole podcast #bc they have something unshakeable with or without their memories #ARMS OUTSTRETCHED IS A NARRATIVELY PERFECT MOMENT AND I AM NEVER FUCKING OVER IT
