Pigeon photography is an aerial photography technique invented in 1907 by apothecary Julius Neubronner. A homing pigeon was fitted with an aluminium breast harness to which a lightweight time-delayed miniature camera could be attached.

The military potential of pigeon photography for aerial reconnaissance was obvious, and battlefield tests in WWI provided encouraging results, but the rapid development of aviation during the war made them obsolete. In the end, the ancillary technology of mobile dovecotes for messenger pigeons had the greatest impact, allowing for rapid communication between the front line and the rear, when other methods such as radio, telephone, or telegraph were unavailable.

This distant relative of PIDOVES is used to deliver letters and love messages by many. They use their psychic powers to read peoples hearts and track their loved ones, always finding the recipient of their letters without fail.

They can be equiped with a special Item called "Lovey-Dovey Satchel" used to store letters and other presents.

They know moves like Heart Stamp and Present, and their signature move is "Love Message", a psychic-type move that does double damage if the target is infatuated. If equiped with its satchel, it will show him throwing heart-stamped letters 💌 if not, they will be heart shaped projectiles

It has the ability Overcoat to protect itself from weather effects as a reference to the phrase "Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night stays these couriers from the swift completion of their appointed rounds" often associated with the postal office

It is based on the Luzon bleeding-heart Dove mixed with a mailman

Look, I love a good discussion about a topic, it can be fun, it makes you think and reconsider your opinions, it's a good mental exercise in general, and I enjoy it.

But sometimes everyone has their point of view and that's fine. Unless it is a moral issue, triggering to me, or squicking me out too much, I don't mind seeing it! I can agree to disagree. and I will gladly do so.

You have your hill to die on, I have mine, and we can both meet on other hills that we both like or just wave at each other from afar. I genuinely do not care.

I follow people that talk about fandoms I didn't even know existed (I still have not figured out what exactly taskmaster is but it looks like y'all are having a fun time) or that hold opposing opinions, and I still like seeing them on my dash. If someone would rather block/soft block me or otherwise prevent themselves from seeing me, that's fine, protect your peace, curate your blog.

What I DON'T like, however, is people being assholes or starting discussions on posts that are headcanons, ficlets, or anything that isn't meta/speculation/theories.

What I don't like is getting anons pressuring me to 'prove' something; you're not my inorganic chemistry prof, I don't need to show you proof for shit.

What I don't like is passive aggressive vague-posting or openly bashing people, keep that in private circles and DMs.

If I ever come across as angry/upset/too intense, 90% of the time it's simply me being autistic, shit at tone, and passionate about a topic—and you're always welcome to tell me if I am making you uncomfortable/you don't want me adding to your posts/to asks how I meant something/etc.

Nine Lives (by machiroads, for anyone who has not read it, in which case I cannot recommend it enough) will always be The Erasermic Fic to me. One day Edrin was involved in some crappy shit and he was down on his luck, feeling like shit and just missing home. Home as in his family

And just then, on that day, he gets a letter delivered to him

It’s short and nothing big

Just Villmos asking him how he is and what he’s doing, telling him about his own adventures

It ended with Villmos asking him to come meet him and the others soon and that he missed him

Later, when the two moved in together, Edrin hung the letter up and let himself be reminded of how they would always be there for each other
