Attempting to pinpoint Halinka to a select collection of traits has often presented itself to be its own challenge- her calm smile that never appeared to waver would either place her subjects at ease or tense them even further. The only one that ever came close would be "ambiguity", but that never really gave her enough justice.

For royalty, Halinka is quite chill; whether she is helping Leander with his flower shop, training with her soldiers, or simply keeping her aging father company, the tranquil aura around her never dissipated. She'd always find something to chuckle about, even when her kingdom was reduced to nothing more than a handful of tents- a crumb of what it once was. Halinka's also surprisingly competitive, and her relationship with Dakarai, the prince of the neighboring kingdom, is that of a passive-aggressive rivalry.

Yet it isn't farfetched to assume that she lived quite the lonely life; it was common knowledge that her mother passed away during childbirth, thus leaving the young princess' care to her father, King Serapheim. The king, in spite of his golly, cheery attitude, was already facing his own issues, namely the sins of his own ancestors and the judgemental eyes of his neighbors and followers alike; the history of the Early Greenhornites was a long and bloody one, with their rampage beginning as soon as they stepped unto Aeronia's soil. The weight of all the poor souls of their neighboring kingdoms weighed heavily on the shoulders of the culprits' descendants, and Serapheim and, soon enough, Halinka were no exception.

Even in the face of generational guilt, Serapheim still lovingly cared for both his remaining family and his kingdom. To further boost their bond, he would train alongside her - one of his favorite past times - and teach her basics of self-defense, up until his aging body was unable to keep up with her. Halinka loved every second she was around her dad, and watching him deteriorate over time never failed to break her little by little.

The tragedy of what had happened to young master Leander, one of her only childhood friends, also shook her. As a child, she never really liked those nobles- but everyone knew that the monarchy were puppet rulers in comparison to them. Their influence ran deep, and control was all they sought after, but to impose all that unto a child? As the royal guard finally escorted the young boy out of one of the nobles' homes, the bright red of Leander's bruises and his expression of shame almost drove her to tear apart.

So, to keep everything around her stable, to not break down over the corruption around her, she subconsciously built a wall around herself- a serene air that follows her always. There really is no need to dwell on the bad things, so long as the solution is right before them there's no need to destroy oneself with worry. Even when the world was swallowed up by darkness, and...her own father disappearing into the night-

Oh, she was so, so close to shattering the second he disappeared. She stood by strong as the world's endtimes approached, but the ambiguity of her father's current situation clawed into her mind every day. The very man who shielded her from judgemental eyes for so long was just gone during an expedition. Even as she smiles to the rest of her subjects and members of the royal guard, uncertainty followed her without fail...

She hopes that her father, as strong and optimistic as he was, was still out there, still sane, still...himself...

the two of you are under layers of comforters and the sun peeks through the blinds shu forgot to close all the way the night before (or was it five am? he doesn’t really remember) and illuminate his pretty features ;;

even if you just woke up, and it’s probably two in the afternoon, you can’t help but feel your eyelids growing heavier with every soft pat shu gives the small of your back as he carefully brushed through small tangles he comes by in your hair

and as your eyes slide close, hiding the afternoon sky from view, you feel shu kiss the top of your head, murmuring, “sweet dreams.”

an alternative thought to your already beautiful scenario would be that while you're drifting back to sleep, shu would give your forehead a few kisses in between his humming.

Yeah, if i understood it correctly, Wanderer isn’t a ‘God’ so he doesn’t have enough power to change history like he wished, the only thing he accomplished was erasing himself alone, so the world doesn’t remember him but the world is still the same.

It almost felt pointless when you first look at it, but it wasn’t, he finally gained the piece of mind and peace, he is now free with a new begging

👻Mieruko-chan Review!👻

Hello, and welcome to a new anime review! Today, I'm tackling Mieruko-chan, a horror anime!

Mieruko-chan is an anime/comedy anime that aired in 2021. It has twelve episodes, and features supernatural elements in a school environment.

To be very honest, I found this anime to be really average. Nothing about it stands out as great, though it's true that nothing about it sucks, either.

The plot is not that interesting but it's not bad, per se. I found out that many horror animes have simple plots and rely on scaring the viewer. However, Mieruko-chan isn't scary! That makes it a little hollow.

It's clear the story needs a sequel, but for now, it's still incomplete and doesn't really have any highlights. At least, it's easy to follow, so you probably won't get lost.

Then, none of the characters are really all that great, either. The protagonist has a bland personality, her sidekick is the usual "dumb + big boobs" combo, and the third member of the main trio is a brat. Luckily, a fourth character kind of redeems it with a nice plot twist.

Character development isn't much of a thing since the protagonist doesn't change. The story progresses, but she doesn't. The dynamics are somewhat entertaining, although nothing to put in the record books.

For all its flaws, this anime looks beautiful. The animation is clean, and for recent standards, it's above average. Musically, it's alright. The opening is extremely catchy (and somewhat misleading, haha).

Overall, I wouldn't recommend this anime if you're not into horror. It's not scary, but if you don't like ghost stories, you'll get bored. Again, I found it very average, but perhaps you'll like it more!
