🌻 BnHA/MHA: Majo Pierce 🌻
New look, story and quirk for my "Boku no Hero Academia"/"My Hero Academia" avatar 🦸
🧚 Name: Majo Pierce 🧚 Alias: Fae 🧚 Birthday: June 21 🧚 Age: 19 🧚 Female 🧚 153cm 🧚 Hair Color: Dark brown 🧚 Eye Color: Dark brown 🧚 Quirk: Rock Handling 🧚 Birthplace: America 🧚 Pro Hero 🧚 Crush: Mirio Togata 🧚 Children: Mitsuo Togata
🧚 Story: Majo was born in America. Her mother died when she was young so her father decided to start a new life with Majo in Japan. She studied to be a hero, but she never dedicated herself to it because of the panic she felt in emergency situations. Feeling a failure, she used to draw in the parks. That's how she met Mirio, who saved her from some bullies. Helping her, Mirio noticed that Majo was drawing, so he asked if he could take a closer look at her drawings. Since then they became friends and usually go out to talk or take a walk around the city. Over time, their friendship grew and they became closer. Mirio motivated Majo to leave her fears behind and help people, being a hero rescue.
🧚 Quirk: Her quirk allows her to manipulate stones, rocks, and some minerals. The bigger they are, the more effort they require and she can't manipulate them if they are part of someone's body or quirk.
🧚 Trivia:
Majo's name, refers to someone "nice, attractive, good-looking" in Spanish. Her last name Pierce, is European and means "rock, stone."
Her hero name and costume, refer to the fairies because she likes them.
Majo is of Hispanic descent.
Mirio and Majo become a couple when they are adults, marrying and having a child, Mitsuo Togata, who has the permeation quirk of his father, both on himself and on the objects he touches as long as they are composed of rocks and minerals.
Majo's foreign features, accent, and habits are one of the things Mirio likes about her.
Mirio was the first to confess and calls her "sunflower".
Majo loves star and bunny earrings and accessories.
Majo's dark brown hair and eyes match with her Earthen quirk.

Making Choices

Mirio togata x oc
It doesn’t matter your profession if two single individuals spend more than a little bit of time with each other they think you’re dating, but they were on the money. Now irresponsibility is leading to some consequences.
<-❀—❀—❀—❀—❀—❀—❀—❀—❀—❀—❀—❀—❀—❀—❀—❀->
“So, Aro I hear that you are very close friends with Lemillion and Suneater,” the interviewer asks as I think for a moment.
Looking at my visor I chuckle anxiously. “Yeah, we grew up together. They’re the best brothers I could hope for.”
He visibly winces. “Brothers, nothing closer than that.”
“Well, seeing as their and my personal lives are discreet; I’d rather not share any more information about that.”
“You’re right we shouldn’t pry too much.”
The following questions were more invasive than that last one. God, I just about buried myself in my wings by the end of it. I felt relief when my coat finally felt to the ground at my apartment door. Working as a pro hero can be hard when flying heroes weren’t able to access a lot of emergencies, damn Hawks set too high of a standard. I didn’t fail to notice the shoes that sat in the gekan. A bit of energy returns to me as I walk farther in.
“Welcome back Sunflower,” Mirio’s grin shined brighter than the sun itself.
“Alright Mr. Sun. Put those pearly whites away before you blind me again,” I tease as I sit on the stool. “How was your day?”
“It was a day, but how was yours?” he places a plate in front of me. “Your agent told me that you had an interview today.”
Groaning I put my hands together in a silent prayer over my food. “Do not remind me, I thought it would be a simple question. But no, they seem so interested in who we take to bed. It’s not enough for them to have all eyes on us at all times. Poor Kyoko can’t catch a break.”
He sits next to me and nods. “I hear you there, I always thought that the interviews for you were a bit much.”
“It won’t change now, it’s just a vicious cycle. All I need now is something life changing to happen to make me need to disappear from heroism and start anew somewhere else,” I joke as I continue to eat.
Mirio frowns. “You need to be careful with stuff like that Yoru, remember the last time you said something like that?”
Swallowing my food, I take a sip from the cup next to me before sighing. “Do not remind me. I was terrified when you lost your quirk. Why would anyone ever abuse another person’s quirk like that?”
“You know as well as I do that there are bad people.”
Shaking my head, I look at my finished food then to the man next to me. “A reminder was uncalled for Mirio, I mean our entire job description is to catch those kinds of people in the safest way possible. My wind can only reach so far, if it wasn’t for you and Tamaki; I would have failed a lot time ago.”
“No, I’m sure you’d be fine without us,” he smacks the small gap between my pairs of wings.
Mirio would visit my apartment often, that was possibly where the question in our relationship came in. the truth was, I didn’t know where I stood with him. I still saw him as someone I was close to, but I didn’t know his feelings and I couldn’t just force him to tell them to me. It was maybe a week after this particular visit that I noticed something different, at least with myself. I couldn’t keep food down at all. This lead to me passing out because of my high calorie intake. Going to the doctor only made me terrified. Inviting Tamaki to my apartment I try not to break down when he walks in.
“Yoru, what happened? You seemed really worried on the phone,” he calls.
“What am I gonna do Tamaki?”
He raises a brow looking at me. “What do you mean?”
Tears flood my vision as I try to form the words. “I’m pregnant, and I can’t tell Mirio.”
“What? But I thought you two had a thing going on?” he frowns.
“I know, but he hasn’t exactly told me anything. So, I don’t know,” my shoulders shake as I try to piece the information in my head. “You’re the only person I could turn to.”
“Alright, well. Sit down first, you’re scaring me.”
Doing as he says I frown. “What now?”
“You should tell Mirio,” he admits. “I mean don’t get me wrong, I’m just making a suggestion. In the end what you do it up to you Yoru, but I feel like he has a right to know.”
I nod. “Okay, I’ll tell him. But only if it seems like he’s okay with it.”
But instead of telling him I sit in the hospital looking at my cuts and watching to woman heal me.
“What were you thinking fighting while pregnant? You’re so lucky that you’re a patient or I’d whoop your ass myself,” hisses the blue haired girl.
“That it’s my job and my state of being should not be a consequence of people getting hurt,” I grumble. “Look it won’t matter soon. I’m leaving for America.”
She drops a bit of water almost drenching the floor. “What?!”
I nod. “I can’t just disappear here and raise this jellybean. I came to this conclusion on my own okay.”
“What about Mirio?”
“I told him not to tell you,” I pout.
“Tamaki and I are getting married, he wouldn’t be able to keep secrets if it weren’t for work,” she rolls her eyes.
“I’m not gonna tell him,” Looking to my arm as the skin starts to repair itself, I mumble. “I haven’t seen him since.”
“Aro!”
“It’s for the best Kyoko, I’ll get in touch as soon as I get my grounds. Besides I’ll be fine over there, if anything it will be an adventure with extra responsibilities,” I mumble feeling the weight of something heavy on my back. “Promise me that if I need help, you’ll answer my calls.”
Kyoko looks at me and frowns. “You’re too damn stubborn for your own good.”
“I’ll be back, maybe in a year or two.”
I actually didn’t return to Japan until three years later. Holding my bright blond toddler in my arms I chuckle as she points at everything around her. So excited to see so many things.
“Mommy everyone is speaking the language we speak at home,” she giggles.
“Yes, we’re gonna be living here from now on,” I smirk as I rub my nose to hers. “Let’s go find our apartment, okay?”
She nods enthusiastically. Three years ago, anyone would be able to recognize you just by the short wispy green hair and your two sets of wings protruding from your back. But now your hair was rather long just from not caring to cut it. Just as I get ready to walk across the street the weight in my arms disappears. These people are stupid.
“These people make it too easy,” laughs the villain.
Keeping myself rooted to the ground I shout after them. “Hiyori, don’t you dare activate your quirk!”
Usually, people would panic as their child gets taken away. Hiyori was already pretty used to this and kind of sends me a side eye. Three years old and has almost been kidnapped many times. What I didn’t account for? Her quirk was exactly like Mirio’s. Trying to call the police or even keep an eye for how far away she is. If I could fly to her I would. This itch to run after and take my child back would end.
“Mommy, I want ice cream after this.”
I laugh dryly as I hear my daughter’s voice. “If we get back to the apartment before night fall, I think I’ll order sushi.”
“Why are you so calm?”
Looking to the person next to me I grin. “I was a hero; my daughter will be fine. This isn’t the first time someone has tried.”
To my surprise my junior saves Hiyori. He locks eyes with me, and I almost see him burst into tears as he grins wide.
“Senpai, I thought you died,” Deku sobs.
Narrowing my eyes, I sigh. “How many of y’all wrote me off as dead? Rude much.”
“Rude.” Hiyori agrees as she holds my hand tight.
“I’m sorry, I should get back to work,” he mumbles.
“Say bye to Mr. Deku, Hiyori,” I suggest as he tries to walk away.
“Bye, bye uncle Deku.” She grins with a big wave of her free hand.
He gives her another smile before walking away. Taking my bag and Hiyori’s hand we walk toward our apartment. I was excited for a floor level place, with Hiyori’s quirk showing signs so early on, every day was a nightmare. All the boxes were already there thanks to Kyoko and Tamaki. Without their help this whole idea of moving back to Japan would have been a dream. Hiyori wastes no time running around to survey the area. I begin tearing into boxes to at least give us a place to sleep for the night. As night falls upon us the toddler gets sleepy, and I sit up putting small things away like dishware and cutlery.
“Walking straight into strangers houses is very unbecoming of you Mr. Togata.” Pulling myself up on the counter I push the few things that I wouldn’t be needing to the top .
“Well, you’re not a stranger sunflower,” he laughs.
Sliding down I look at him with a frown. “Who told you?”
Mirio wasn’t always a serious person, but he could be.
“Just get out.” Turing back to the dishes I put things back more aggressively. “Please.”
“Why did you leave?” God it hurts to hear him care so much.
Putting the cup down, I turn to him again. “It would have been better if you pretended, I didn’t exist. Like you have been for the past three years.”
“That wasn’t my fault! You disappeared without so much as a note,” he growls.
“Don’t raise your voice,” I state walking across the way to the hallway.
“Why?”
“First of all, I have neighbors, you’re going to wake someone up.”
“No.”
Hearing the padding feet. I quickly turn to pick up the whimpering child. Hiyori nuzzles into my shoulder grabbing my shirt in her hand. Mirio pauses. Many emotions run across his face, but only two was prevalent when he looked at me. Anger and hurt.
“Oh, so you left to go have someone’s kid?” he scoffs.
I freeze in place. “Right, I didn’t tell you because you disappeared and didn’t contact me before I left.” My head hurt as the small wind swept in front of me.
“Mommy, what is Daddy saying?” Hiyori asks as she sniffles.
“Don’t worry baby girl, Mommy is gonna have to talk to Daddy for a little bit.” I whisper to her.
Mirio the slow processing person he is, has a confused look on his face.
“You’re not leaving right? That mean guy tried to take me away from you and I don’t want you to disappear on me,” she whimpers.
I hold her tighter. “My little feather of sunlight, I’m not going anywhere until you don’t need me anymore.”
Content with my answer she lays her head down and I force my quirk to stop. Sitting on one of the boxes I look at Mirio and motion for him to stand in the kitchen. Hiyori was already half asleep, so I only needed to put her back on the bed. Walking to the only room we had set up I lay her down gently. She nuzzles into the pillow, and I take careful steps out of the room. Mirio still standing in the kitchen looks at me with so much pain.
“Why didn’t you tell me?”
“What? That I was pregnant? That I was scared? Or how depressed I was to not know if you would even be happy about the news?” I whisper.
“That she’s mine.”
“Because, we had just started getting stable in our positions. It wasn’t hard for me to slide away from the spotlight,” thinking about what happened before I sigh.
“Sunflower, please. Why didn’t you tell me? I would have been so happy?”
I glare. “Not even a week after I left you had someone new on your arm. I’m not dense Mirio.”
“That was a misunderstanding.”
Picking up a new box I shake my head. “Mirio, I talked to Tamaki. It wasn’t a misunderstanding.”
“But as soon as I found out you were gone, I looked for you.”
“Mirio. Please, you’re only hurting me more by trying to keep just trying to justify it. I don’t want to wake Hiyori up again; her schedule is already ruined from the flight.”
He looks at me. “Will you talk to me again?”
Rolling my eyes, I grip the box firmly. “If I’m up for it. But right now, after almost losing my soft sun, no.”
“Alright, I’ll see you later Sunflower,” he mutters before leaving.
Time always moves so slow, while also going too quickly. I spent my time fixing the apartment. Hiyori has a room to herself, but she didn’t like being separated from me. She often had accidents with her quirk, and I wasn’t sure what I could do. Before I knew it, we’d been living in Musutafu for almost two months. I didn’t have to worry about work things for at least another month, but I couldn’t sit still. Hiyori wanted to go to a daycare and Tamaki wanted to check and see if we settled in well.
“So, you move in and didn’t call us until now?” feeling the sharp smack of the girl next to him I frown.
“Kyo, on the first day here a villain tried to kidnap Hiyori. I thought I’d have to fighter her if her quirk activated while he was in the air.” Recounting the event, I also let them walk past me. “And Mirio just walked into my house like it was the most normal thing ever.”
Tamaki grumbles. “He always does whatever he wants to.”
I nod. Hiyori runs up and looks at Tamaki with a grin.
“Uncle Tamaki look I’m not a jellybean anymore,” she chuckles.
“You’re right,” he bends down to pick her up.
“What did you tell her?” Kyoko giggles.
“That the last time she saw you two in person that she was no bigger than a jellybean,” picking up the plates and setting the table I sigh. “But him sneaking in wasn’t even the bad part. He got mad at me and woke her up. Hiyori was having a hard time adjusting after the flight.”
She looks at me. “Mommy, when is Daddy gonna come by again?”
“I don’t know honey.”
“Oh okay.”
This earns confused looks from my friends.
“Is it really that easy?”
I can’t help but roll my eyes. “Hiyori is very smart, but please remember that she is three and a simple answer will satisfy her curiosity. She also has a very similar thinking pattern to Mirio.”
“That’s sad.”
The rest of the night was filled with conversations and catching up. But as they were leaving Tamaki pulled me aside while Kyoko played with Hiyori.
“You know if you need a job, they still want you back if you’re willing.” He informs me.
Looking at Kyoko and Hiyori, I shake my head. “Tamaki, I can’t. I only moved back because it would be easier to make sure that Hiyori isn’t kidnapped. They are lax on their rules in America, but their punishment against villains is ruthless.”
“I know but I hate feeling like I helped end your hero career,” he sighs.
“That was my own doing, but it would have happened one way or another,” I point out.
Hiyori runs over to me, and I pick her up. But just as they get ready to leave someone is at my door. Tamaki frowns but let’s our friend walk past him. Kyoko seems conflicted as she is almost dragged out by Tamaki. Mirio looks at me sadly but adjust the things in his hands.
“I want to talk.”
“Fine.”
With the closing of the door, I turn back to the living room. Mirio walks in behind me and I sit on the couch letting Hiyori lean against me. She was already tuckered out and that just meant that she would be asleep before I really talked to Mirio.
“I’m sorry for acting the way that I did,” he sighs before taking a seat on one of the chairs.
Rolling my eyes, I pat Hiyori with a mumble. “Right, there’s only so far you can take things like that before something bad happens.”
“I know that.” His eyes seem to get darker before he speaks again. “I should have talked to you before. I should have—”
“Are you only going to talk to me about what you should have done?” Standing up slowly I try to make sure that the sleeping toddler won’t slip from my grip. “I’ll put her in bed, just wait here a second.”
Hiyori grips my shirt tightly as tears seem to fill her eyes, she was running warm, but it wasn’t something that I was worried about before. Pressing her forehead to mine I frown.
“What’s wrong?”
I turn toward Mirio and shrug. “I don’t know. She doesn’t usually cling this tight to me.”
He walks up and I’m reminded just how much he towers over me.
“Can you check her back?” Adjusting my hold on her I wait.
He does as I ask and frowns. “She’s got some red stripes on her back.”
My eyes for wide. She was growing wings, this late? It’s gonna hurt so much for her.
“Shit, I was hoping that she wouldn’t have to go through that too. Sunshine, could you get some hot water I have to put a hot cloth on her back to help some of the pain,” I mumble.
Walking into my room I lay my daughter on her stomach before dimming the light and fixing her shirt. Mirio was fast with getting some water, I pull one of the cloths from the bedside table and dip it into the water. He sits on the other side of the bed while I place the cloth on her back gently.
“Thank you,” I sigh.
“You’ll probably hear me say sorry for the rest of my life, but I want to spend more time with you and Hiyori.” Mirio’s hand sits on mine.
Looking at his hand and back at his face I sigh. “We can see.”

Who is more delusional Magnus or Mirio?
Definitely Mirio. Sure Magnus loves being delulu about you two being in a happy relationship, but deep down, he knows you've been forced by the villagers to sleep with him and shit. He may pretend not to see it, but he knows those scars on your limbs are from the beatings his cult subjected you to when you said you hate him. He knows, he just... chooses to believe in an alternate reality where you are with him happily.
Mirio? He's delusional to the core. Blinder than the reader in YRHR series, he truly believes that you two arr together in love. Anytime you say you hate him? That's just cause you're too shy to say the magic words. You cringe and recoil from his touch? You're nervous and probably inexperienced (1000% believes you're a virgin, even if you're not). You cry and violently thrash when he's near you? That's just you going through withdrawal symptoms (when he left you alone for 2 minutes) like alcoholics do.

Lonely Bunny

MINORS DNI!!!
Mirio Togata x Bunnygirl! Reader
Summary: Mirio is unknowingly a bad pet owner and suffers the consequences.
A/N: College/pro hero Mirio. Part of a collab I entered by @fuwushiguro @taijuwu and @twicesangel hybrid collab masterlist.
Info: neglect and comfort, SMUT, fingering, unprotected sex, pet names(bunny, bunbun)
WC: 1,845
Mirio was in his cramped bedroom studying for the final lengths of college on top of that had to manage his budding career as a pro hero after highschool. His roommate had taken an opportunity outside of the country to gain experience in different parts of the world as a hero. It was great as it meant the shared apartment was still covered and he had all the room to himself. The only problem was the pet hybrid they left behind. A cute bunny.
Mirio was fine living with the pet but hadn’t expected to become a full time caretaker on top of that. You were fairly self sufficient likely because his roommate wasn’t an exceptional owner. But neither was Mirio. For the first few months during the semester Mirio simply fed you throughout the day. You'd have the occasional walk in the neighborhood and were left to your devices for the rest of the time. At the end of the semester Mirio had warmed up to you a good amount. After his work and classes he would spend time with you, watching shows or throwing your favorite toys, until you curled up on his chest for the night.
More recently though his poor bunny wouldn’t even approach him. He had only taken small notice of this yesterday, when you refused to eat her dinner but he had to sleep for the next day and couldn’t dwell on the matter too long. He got up the next day and headed straight to his last final of the semester not knowing he would return to his apartment completely torn apart in the evening.
At first when he arrived he searched for signs of a break in making sure the bunny was also still in the house. Then he found you curled up in his closet with a t-shirt of his you had shredded in her hands. He knew exactly who the culprit was.
He saw red. Only for a moment, he didn't raise his voice, he took a deep breath and sat on the floor across from you. You noticed him upon his exhale and pushed yourself deeper into the closet.
“Y/N. Come over here please.” he tried his best to be non threatening. He just couldn’t believe such a sweet bunny could destroy a whole apartment in 4 hours.
You crawled out after a few minutes of quiet. As you got closer Mirio beckoned you into his arms. He held you for a bit.
“Tell me what happened today.” After getting no response from you he thought about calling a vet, to make sure you weren’t sick.
Mirio left the room to get his phone but was interrupted by a call from Amijiki. He answered.
“Hello, Mirio” .
“Hey Amijiki, how's it going?” He was relieved to hear a familiar voice.
“I'm going to be in your area tomorrow and want to patrol alongside you if you have the time.”
“Oh I…I don’t know if I can. I have this thing…Do you know anything about bunny hybrids?” Mirio could only think about helping you for the time being even if that meant calling out from his agency for the first time.
“Is there something wrong with your friend's pet?” Tamaki had already met the cute bunny girl prior to Mirio’s roommate leaving, but had no idea she was left in his care.
“Yeah, she tore up the place today. I have no idea why.” He sighed through the call.
“They’re pretty high maintenance pets. They require a lot of time from their owners for cleaning, you have to keep them busy, and they get lonely so people usually buy them in pairs if they work outside the home. Honestly your roommate is a bit dense for getting something they can’t take care of.” Tamaki said bluntly.
“Heh, well I’ve been taking care of her for a few weeks alone.”
Mirio felt embarrassed and almost certain that they had no idea how to properly take care of a bunny hybrid before this.
“Well what do you do to calm her down?" Tamaki had fostered pet hybrids before and was prepared with the basic care regimen for any hybrid.
"Uh I let her run around till she's tired most days."
"That explains why she trashed the place." Amijiki said lowly (lower than usual) before continuing. "You should work on some engaging relaxation techniques."
"Like T.V." Miro perked with his suggestion.
"No, that might be the worst thing to do. You can try cooking, bathing, or pleasure. Basically things you would do anyway."
Mirio thought for a second.
"Wait, I'm supposed to be bathing and pleasuring her? She does that stuff herself". It'd be impossible to not know how much bunny hybrids enjoy indulging their carnal instincts. But Mirio had assumed it was a personal experience for them.
"After all the time she's been with you it's impossible she wouldn't try to initiate if you didn't." Tamaki said, doubtful a bunny hybrid or all things could go months without an orgasm.
"Well she touches herself in front of me but I just assumed that she didn't understand privacy and left her alone…hello?" Mirio had gotten nothing but silence on his end of the phone. Tamaki was too busy pinching back the stupidity induced headache from Mirio.
"Well then that's something you should start with. And be thankful she didn't aim any of that anger at you. Bunny hybrids can be aggressive if motivated." And Mirio sure did give the poor thing a good reason. Tamiki hung up the phone before he was dragged any further into Mirios' mess, also deciding to delay his trip to his city till next week.
Now that Mirio had a plan of action all he needed to do was execute. It wouldn't be too hard, like a one night stand with a human girl and he didn't even need to flirt with her all night. So why was he so nervous? You weren't some innocent bunny, he'd seen you get up to all kinds of "activities" before he'd politely excuse himself.
In helping there was always the possibility he could make the situation worse. He peeked into the room to see your floppy ears drooped around your face and did his best to walk into the room seemingly knowing how to help. He scooped your body up and brought you to his bed. You didn't sniff about his collar or peck little kisses on him like usual. Mirio couldn't believe he let you get to this state.
He pulled you chin up from, where you buried your face on him and pressed his lips into yours tenderly. Your little cotton tail twitched up in curiosity. You were always so obedient for him, he didn't even know how lucky he was until now.
As he kissed your pillow soft lips and ran his hands up your sides cupping your breasts ever so often. His hands tracked down your body and nudged your clothed pussy. He began to lift your light slip-on dress off your body. You were eager and he didn't want to keep you waiting.
Your lips only separated when he pulled the dress over your head. One of Mirios large hands cupped your breast and his thumbs grazed your nipple.
“Do you like this?” he watched you squirm as he pinched a nipple. You nodded, your little cottontail bounced everytime his thumbs brushed against your sensitive bud.
Mirio was pleasantly surprised when you grinded down on his lap, leaving behind a small damp spot on his pants.
“I'm gonna take good care of you.” Mirio breathed into your neck, applying more pressure to your clit.
You straightened up from the shots of arousal running up your spine , tightening your eager hole around nothing. You grinded back down into Mirio's hand. He finally decided to slip your panties down your legs. He got a full view of the gorgeous mess of slick surrounding your twitching hole. Mirio inserted two fingers into your warm hole, his eyes watched happily as you sucked his fingers further inside each time he moved them.
You squealed from the long awaited comfort. He curled his fingers against your walls and your toes curled against the cool fabric of the bed. Mirio laid you back on the bed fully and began shifting his sweats down to free his dick. He stroked himself while leaning up to trail sloppy kisses down your neck and chest. You bucked your hips ever so often to gain friction against the fingers inside you. He lifted your hips to position his head with your pussy.
“Don’t move too much or I won’t be able to help you.” Mirio tried to steady your squirming body.
Finally he lined himself up and sank in perfectly. You let out a drawn out moan as you were filled by his full length. The girth of him caused you to twitch as he pushed deeper into you, feeling just how fulfilling the stretch of your pussy was. Mirio groaned each time you experimented with the feeling. Tightening your walls at different points of his strokes, making it almost impossible to not cum inside right then.
“C'mon bunny cum for me" He urged once he had found a comfortable pace for himself.
You grinded your hips up against his dick to hit the sensitive points primed by Mirio's fingers. This coupled with you twitching around his dick. You whined with each of your movements and balled your hands into Mirio’s shirt. Mirio hissed from the sensations, he was determined to let you finish all over his dick.
"So fuckung wet.". Mirio rasped as he grinded in time with you.
Your warm squishy cunt was sloppy after a few grinds and soft squelching emerged from your collective movements. The moans you let out drove Mario insane, he felt himself strain inside your velvet walls
"Miri…" you released his shirt to hold his hand. Your hips started to feel weak but you weren't at your release yet.
"Lemme take over." He brought you hands down from his shoulders and leaned back to push himself impossibly deeper. You whimpered when he pulled your hips up to meet his.
Strings of pleasure connected the two of you when he pulled out. He brought you back down slowly into a position he could grind up into you
"This is how you like it?" Mirio gave an experimental bump. You tightened deliciously around him.
"That!" you squeaked breathlessly.
He continued to crush his body against yours, rubbing against your clit with each push against you. Your little bunny brain was a fried babbling mess when you met your release. Mirio kept you full until you came down from your high.
"That was so good bunny" Mario mused at the little puddle on his chest
"Sorry" you sniffed through your aftershocks still seated on Mirios dick.
"There's nothing to apologize for, bunny. We'll clean up tomorrow."

Shelter in the Storm [Mirio] (Angst)
(One-Shot 6/? in a collection of My Hero Academia one-shots posted regularly on Saturdays and sometimes Sundays.)
Read on AO3.
Tags: Mirio x OC, Lemillion x OC, Mirio Togata, Suneater, Tamaki Amajiki, Tamaki is a Good and Precious Bean, Mirio is a Ray of Sunshine, Anxious OC, Not the Best Home Life, But What Are Ya Gonna Do?, I Gave Tamaki a Younger Sister, Because Why Not
Word Count: 2,881 words
Summary: Tamaki and Ichijiku have been friends since elementary school, so it’s become a habitual occurrence for her to seek shelter at his house when her parents get overwhelming. In the morning, Tamaki and Mirio both walk with her to school and attempt to brighten her spirits.
Author's Note: I've noticed you all seem to enjoy minor characters a lot, so I'll try and focus on adding more as I continue writing one-shots. It's certainly a fun challenge to get to know characters who don't get a lot of screen time! I hope you enjoy!
Ichijiku (Tigress)
Mirio, are you awake? I text my boyfriend despite knowing he’s asleep. Between the two of us, he goes to bed the earliest.
Still, for an hour and a half, I wait for a reply. When it’s obvious that I won’t be receiving a response, I stare at the ceiling as my brain tunes back into reality. The yelling down the hall amplifies and my heart races as I wait with baited breath for Mom to walk through the door. Please don’t yell at me. I don’t know what I did and if that’s why you and Dad fight but please stop screaming. When footsteps make their way down the hall, I place my phone down and hug my pillow with my eyes closed. Though internally I panic, I force myself to take deep and even breaths.
I hear the door squeak open and the heavy, angry breaths of my mother. Only the thumping in my chest is audible, and I dare not move until I hear the familiar click of my door. Even then, I pause for another two minutes until I’m sure she doesn’t stand in wait to catch me being disobedient.
When I open my eyes and she’s not there, I slip out of bed and crawl over to my window. I pull the blinds and look next door into Tamaki’s room. His dark blue eyes meet mine as he lays in his bed. I scrounge around behind my desk to find my notebook. I flip through a few of the pages until I land on the one I want, holding up the page to the glass: Can I come over?
I watch him rifle through his own notebook before holding up his response.
Yes.
I tuck my notebook away and look at my door for a minute or two. She might come back. My ears tune in to every sound as I grab my jacket and stuff a deck of cards in the pocket. There’s no footsteps down the hall and the muffled sound of the TV can be heard down the hall, a signal my dad’s in bed and my mom’s still in the living room. So, I throw on my jacket and crack open my window, slow and steady.
After sneaking out and shutting it behind me, I glide across the lawn over to Tamaki’s house and through the opening he’s left me. He takes my hand and helps me into the much warmer house. I click the window lock as I get comfy on his bed.
“Hi.” I whisper.
“Hi.”
Several minutes pass and neither of us say a word. My fingers pet the dark plum comforter underneath me, focusing my attention on the soft texture while the sound of yelling echoes in my mind. Tears trek down my cheeks while I try and think of what to say, not that it’s anything Tamaki doesn’t know. We’ve known each other since middle school. It’s unlikely that there’s anything I can tell him or Mirio that neither of them would know. They're probably sick and tired of you telling them the same stupid shit all the time.
“Are you…okay?” My best friend’s gentle voice breaks the silence.
“It’s nothing new, I’m fine.” I sniffle, wiping my face and shoving my emotions away, all the way down to soles of my feet. “I just didn’t want to be alone.”
“Are you staying for the evening?” He asks. “Mother knows your situation; you know she doesn’t mind if you stay for the night.”
“I know. I don’t know if I’m staying, yet. Mom has started checking my room in the middle of the night.” I explain, raking my fingers through my hair as I look up at him with red eyes and swollen cheeks. “The fights have been getting more frequent and the drinking is worse.”
“Does Mirio know?” He asks.
“I texted him, but you know he goes to bed early. He’s already asleep, or I wouldn’t have bothered you. I’m sorry, Maki-kun.” I sigh and place my face in my hands. “I just don’t like being there at night; I feel so alone and afraid. But then I feel guilty because shouldn’t I want to be with my family? I sneak out just like she accuses me. I don’t sleep around and I don’t get into drugs like she accuses, but I’m still sneaking out. If I didn’t do that, would it make her and Dad fight less?”
“I-I wasn’t trying to imply…that you were bothering me. I only…wanted to make sure Mirio was aware…of the situation.” Tamaki trembles a bit as he explains and starts wringing his hands, eyeing his wall. “H-He’s…a lot better with encouragement. B-But…I’m sure that the situation between your parents is not your fault.”
“Then why does it feel like it?” I choke out, shoving my palms into my eyes so I won’t cry anymore. It feels like all I’ve done for the majority of my teenage life is cry. Weak. Pathetic. “Why does it feel like everything I do is the reason they won’t stop fighting? Mom won’t stop drinking. Dad’s barely home trying to provide for us. I don’t know what to do to make it stop.”
When the warmth of Tamaki’s arm wraps around me, sheltering me in safety, I break. The dam bursts and I cling to him as shaky sobs rattle through his room. Thoughts surface from the first time he and I went to middle school, his body shaking as he tried to speak up at the front of the classroom. I remember being so quiet and afraid that I hadn’t been able to reassure him, my childhood best friend. Seeing Mirio do it so easily later that afternoon had humbled me, and it wasn’t until lunch time when the two boys were sitting alone that I’d decided to be brave and join Tamaki and the blonde-haired stranger.
Since I could remember, Tamaki had always been my best friend, my ride or die. Having someone new that didn’t automatically write me off as a stuck up prick was a breath of fresh air. Mom had flagrantly accused me of being a slut the moment I’d come home raving about Mirio.
This comforter has caught more of my tears than my own. I think with an ache in my chest. Gentle, familiar hands rub up and down my shoulders as I wonder where I went wrong. Was it when I first became friends with Tamaki? With Mirio? When I got my first F on an assignment? The first time I called my mom out for cheating on Dad?
“What’s wrong with me?” I whimper.
“What do you mean?”
“They wouldn’t fight if I was gone.” I cough. “If I went away their lives would be better.”
“That’s not true!” Tamaki gasps and pulls back so he can look at me. “Life is so much brighter with you. You’re like Mirio. Everything around you…everyone you interact with…your very presence makes everyone happier.”
“It doesn’t feel like it.” I say. “I feel like I bring gloom and despair wherever I go.”
“That seems more like something I would say, don’t you think?” Tamaki teases, nudging me a bit and giving me a shaky smile. “I-I…understand better than anyone…about feeling less than adequate.”
“You’re so amazing, though! And you’re my bestie, so you know I’m honest when I say you’re the best. You’ve trained and worked so hard to be where you’re at. You’ve made great strides. And I…” I go back to playing with his comforter as he continues to let me lean into his side. “All I’ve done is–”
“You’ve trained hard too.” Tamaki never interrupts, so I make sure to heed what he says. “You were so scared to choose the hero track. We both were. But you were the one who encouraged me from the beginning to take a step into the hero world when I didn’t believe I could. You and Mirio pushed me forward toward that bright future. It never would have started so early if it wasn’t for you.”
Listening to him helps quiet my mind and focus on the more positive side of life, even as the bad voices still lurk on the outskirts of my mind. I pull back and sit up, yawning and realizing just how tired I am as my body calms down.
“...is the offer to stay still available?”
“You know my mother would never turn you down. I’ll pull out the extra futon.”
. . . . .
The guest futon feels comfortable and safe. No yelling invades my dreams to feed my nightmares. My alarm goes off about thirty minutes before I need to wake up, and when I blink my eyes open I find Takara nestled against my chest.
I grunt and thread my fingers through her hair.
“Taka-chan?” I coo, my worries instantly fading at the sight of the little girl. It takes her a moment to fully wake up, but then her pretty blue eyes blink up at me. “What are you doing here?”
“Bad jeem.” She babbles, tucking her head back into me and going to sleep again.
“Aww,” I purr, petting her hair for a few more minutes until anxiety clutches at my throat. If Mom wakes up and sees I’m gone… “Come on, Rara. I have to go back to my house.”
“No go!” She whines, holding tighter. “Iku stay?”
“I can’t stay, honey.” I frown. “I have to go to school in a little bit with your brother. And right now I have to go home so my mom doesn’t get mad at me.”
“No!”
Her determination to keep me here endears me to her all the more, but I give a heavy yawn with my quirk and she’s out for the count. I shift carefully and leave her bundled up in blankets on the futon. I notice Tamaki still sleeps on, so I grab his notebook and write a note for him.
Went home. Will walk with you to school as usual, though.
I get ready for school and walk with Tamaki to Mirio’s with minimal criticism from my mother before I go. To be fair, she’s too hungover to do much aside from nurse her headache with an icepack.
The second Mirio walks up to me and Tamaki, I tackle him in a hug. I squeeze him with all my limbs and exhale all of my sad. He has a way of soaking up all of my hurts, his affection a healing balm to cure my wounds.
“Good morning, Sunbeam.” He breathes in my ear. “From the looks of your texts, it seems like you had a rough night…and not in the good way.” He winks at me, before pecking my lips. “Do you want to talk about it?”
“It’s just the same old, same old. My mom’s just been drinking more and it’s made it hard to sleep at night. I stayed at Maki-kun’s last night.” I explain, letting him set me down and taking his hand as we head to UA.
“That’s been happening more frequently. Are you sure there’s nothing we can do?” Mirio tilts his head, never losing his optimistic expression.
“No. It’s our last year at UA. There’s not really a point. Besides…I don’t want to be the reason for her getting in trouble when I’m already the reason she and Dad fight.” I hold his hand tighter, betraying my fear.
“That’s not your fault, Ichan.” He leans over to smother my cheek in kisses until I’m giggling. Only then does he smile again. “My mom once said that sometimes parents with a lot of problems try to pick the one constant in their life to become the scapegoat of all their issues and insecurities. You’re the one thing they can control, so they use it to their advantage.”
“N-Not to mention…they think…you’re oblivious to all the problems…they’ve created.” Tamaki adds on.
“It’s true. They severely underestimate that beautiful brain of yours.” Mirio slinks his arm around my waist.
He makes my back tingle as part of his arm phases through me playfully so he can comfortably rest his hand there.
“Mi-kun!” I shriek out a laugh, squirming as the strange feeling sends tremors down my spine. “I’ve told you that tickles!”
“Have you told me that?” He smirks. “I don’t recall you saying anything of the sort.”
“You totally do! I can see it on your face!”
“That’s subjective evidence.”
“Mirio-AH!” He starts tickling me in the sides with his fingers this time and I bolt down the sidewalk as the school building comes in sight.
“Oh? So we’re doing endurance training now, are we? Come on, Suneater! We can’t lose!”
I hear him getting closer behind me and use his closeness as motivation to add one last burst of speed to make it to the staircase. My foot meets the first step when Mirio’s arm swoops around my waist twirling me around and clutching me against his chest.
“Gotcha! There’s no way you beat Lemillion!” He laughs victoriously as I pant and catch my breath.
For a moment, he just holds me like that and I let him, forcing oxygen in my lungs. His smile flattens into a neutral expression as he presses his ear more intently to my chest. I flush and look around awkwardly until he speaks.
“Your heart is beating so fast right now.” Mirio hums.
“Well, yeah, I kinda just ran the last two blocks to get here.” I snort, heart still pounding in my ears. “I’ll bet your heart is beating pretty fast too.”
“I like it.” Mirio states, finally setting me on my feet and cupping my face in his hands. “The more I’m with you, the more things I find to love!”
I crinkle my nose and find something else to focus on so I don’t automatically turn down the compliment. I reach up and smooth down Mirio’s uniform collar as an excuse to touch him.
“I could say the same about you, Slippery Boi.”
He drops his hands to my waist since we still have time to wait outside and presses his forehead to mine. Poor Tamaki plants his forehead against the outer wall of the school when he recognizes the intimate look on Mirio’s face. He typically tries to give us our space as a couple when we need our affectionate moments.
“I’m glad you have Tamaki next door to help you when I’m not able to.” Mirio whispers, gazing at me with so much love. “I trust him with my life. It makes me feel better to know that he’s close by in case there’s an emergency.”
“Mi-kun, it’s not like that. My family might yell a lot, but they’d never…” I open my mouth to finish that sentence, but find I can’t. Memories of intentional bruises and cuts from my father remain burned in my memory.
“They would.” He says through pursed lips.
“They do the best they can.” I defend.
“They can still do better.”
“I know.” I look away from him.
“ You deserve better.”
Again, I can’t accept something positive about myself, at least not verbally. I’ve been working on it, but verbal agreement still remains a struggle.
“Takara came to me for nightmare comfort last night.” I change the subject.
“Ichi-chan…”
“What do you want me to say, Mirio?” I huff, tears glistening in my eyes. “I know you think I deserve better and I know Tamaki agrees. I know you both would rather I just make an appointment with Hound Dog or bring it to a staff member’s attention, but I can’t. I don’t want…”
“You’re scared for what’ll happen when you get taken away?”
There it is. I move until my face plants against him. Mirio doesn’t allow it. He knows exactly what I need. He tilts my chin up and claims my lips fiercely, tugging my lip. He pulls back and then kisses me again, harder until my mind is blank. As we both stand there breathless, he rubs his thumbs over my cheeks.
“You don’t ever have to be afraid while I’m here.” He promises. “You don’t have to tell Hound Dog about everything, but I think you’d feel better if you at least brought up how stressed you’ve been. Midterms are coming up and you’ve worked too hard to let your parents mess that up for you. And I don’t care if you believe this, but I’m going to say it again.” He puts his forehead to mine again so I have to look into his sparkling eyes. “You deserve better.”
I close my eyes, take a deep breath, and then look up at him again. It could be time for a change, Little One. He speaks the truth. You deserve a better life than constant fear.
“Have I ever told you just how stubborn you are?” I pout.
“If you have, my ears were phased and I must have missed it.” He chuckles, kissing my forehead. “But I’ve definitely been told that my whole life a time or two.”
I roll my eyes but grin. “Don’t ever change, Mi-kun.”
“Sounds like a recipe for dirty clothes.”
That earns him a jab in the ribs just as the bell rings to start the day.

👫 A walk together 👫
Mirio Togata (Lemillion) from "Boku no Hero Academia"/"My Hero Academia" with my avatar, Majo Pierce (Yōsei), taking a walk together near U.A. 🏫🦸
Majo is a foreigner and, despite she is living in Japan since a few years, she still doesn't know many places from it, that's why Mirio usually takes her to some of his favorite places after school or when they have a free day 🏙️🌤
This is the last drawing I made of my ship, when I was just recovering. However, I wanted to upload it before the other drawings because I really liked the result 🥰💖
I still need to practice the BNHA style a lot but I hope to improve it over time 😊
Without more to say, I hope you like it!! 🌷

Characters: Kagome Higurashi, Kageyama Tobio, Togata Mirio, Wally West, Razor, Sawamura Daichi, Inuzuka Kiba
<-•—•—•—•—•—•—•—•—•—•—•—•—•—•—•—•—•->
Hmmmmm…. Just gonna say now I’ll probably do a few of my favorite characters twice.
This whole thing is supposed to challenge me to be more consistent. And I make the rules.

8: Sundress
Kagome
Through big school you couldn’t remember much, one memory stuck in your head as you tend to the flowers making sure that all of them are properly watered. The girl who always had some reason to explain her extended absence, she still graduated pretty high on the list. A rather amazing feat all things considered.
“Are you open?”
Hearing the voice you jump almost dropping the hose. “Yes, just a minute.”
Was the bell loose again? Turning off the water you dry your hands on your apron before walking out to the main area. Stopping mid-step you couldn’t tell if you were experiencing the early signs of a summer cold or something else. The girl standing in the middle of your family flower shop was really cute, but what caught your attention was her sundress it looked really good on her.
“Are you okay?”
Shaking yourself from your daze you give a nervous smile as your hand flies to the back of your neck. “Uh yeah, what I can I do for you?”
“I just wanted some sunflowers if you have any.” She states.
“Sure, do you want em now or an order?” Back in work mode, you can’t gawk at every pretty customer that comes in the store.
“I’ll buy them now.” She smiles but you could feel her eyes on you as you turn around,
Bending under the counter you look for the clippers so you can cut the stems well.
“Y/n?”
Hearing your name you instinctively snap up slamming the back of your head against the wood counter. Luckily you weren’t under the work table in the back.
“Oh, my god are you okay?” She gasps.
You rub at the sore spot on your head as you right yourself. “Uh, I’m fine. Just sore pride.” Taking this moment you get a better look at this girl’s face, we’ll woman now.
A blush tints your face as you curl up in embarrassment,
“I’m terrible, it’s good to see you healthy Higurashi.” You laugh nervously.
“So I was right, it’s been a little while. I didn’t know you worked here.” She quickly says.
You nod. “Yeah my pops owns the building and we run the flower shop.”
“Do you know anything about medicinal plants?” She seemed starry-eyed.
“A little, I’m trying to get my herbalist certification,” you add. “Did you need some?”
“Well, I mean…” she seemed conflicted.
“If you wanna ask another time that’s fine. Ill get your sunflowers.” You quickly say as you turn to grab the flowers.
The interaction after that was strictly business until you follow to the door.
“Is it okay if I come by with questions?” She asks.
“Yeah, that’s fine Higurashi.”
“Kagome, just call me Kagome.”
“Okay, Kagome.”
9: Ball
Tobio
You were often dragged into things by your best friend. They were very much enamored with their beau, which resulted in you being dragged along to watch your friend gush about their partner.
“Y/N, come on you were the manager for Volleyball before. You’re like the perfect person to help me at this camp,” Kou, your friend, urges with a pleading look.
“No.”
“Come on they need extra hands and you live closest.”
A few days later you look at her friend with a deep frown. “So what exactly is this?”
“A cross-school training camp, the alumni are teaching the kids. We get to make food or help with clean up.” They flash an innocent smile as you nod.
“You just want to watch your boyfriend get all sweaty.”
“I do not!”
You cover their mouth. “First of all, keep your voice down. Second, this was a bad idea. Inviting me of all people because my ex is one of the alumni.”
Their eyes go wide with excitement. You hardly divulged anything about your personal relationships because you were taught to keep everything separate. Though if Kou asks you’d probably marry them but things were the same in Japan as they were in America.
Picking up your friend you found something you could do that would keep you away from the gym. At the expense of your patience wearing thinner than an atom bond.
“Come on who was it?” They ask again as you chop the vegetables.
“I’m using a knife right now not exactly the time to be asking questions, Kou.”
“But y/n,” their whine was enough for you to drop the knife.
Grabbing a cooler you glare. “I’m gonna go take them more water. No, I don’t know when I’ll be back, because I am gonna run to the convenience store to find a modicum of patience to deal with you for a few more days.”
They got quiet. Was that mean? A little, but they continued to pester you despite you asking them not to. You respected their boundaries and let them drag you all across just to see volleyball games.
“Ah, Y/N. Did you grow?” Oikawa Toru, you spent as little time with him as you could and even less now that he was an international player.
Rolling your eyes you put the large cooler down. “More water. Stay hydrated. I’m doing a store run does anyone have a list?”
“Awe but you can’t go alone.” you could see the smirk as he calls out. “Oh Tobio-chan, do you think you can help this adorable little Y/N? They’re going to the store to pick up missing things.”
You hiss. “Dumbass don’t.”
Kageyama Tobio looks up from his paper and walks over silently. You snatch the list.
“I can handle it on my own.”
“No.”
“See he says he’ll help.” Oikawa smiles.
You give him the nastiest look you can muster. “Fine.”
Kageyama was silent as you walked to the store. The whole time in the sore was rather silent you were thankful for that. Until your phone started going off, Kou now knew because Oikawa did nothing but talk.
“You gonna answer it?” Tobio asks as you push the cart.
“No, I’m taking a page from your book.” You mumble.
He scoffs. “I said I was sorry. I texted you as soon as I could.”
You roll your eyes, you felt like they’d roll away at this point. “Oh pray tell how is three months as soon as possible. You know what no. I’m not having this conversation, we’re already broken up and our past relationship shouldn’t have any consequence on now.”
“All things considered you really dropped the ball, y/n.”
“Tobio don’t tempt me. You know what I’m capable of.” You manage between grit teeth.
He shrugs. “That’s what I like about you.”
This made you pause. “You’re still terrible at communication.”
“So are you.”
You attempt to counter but he was right. The entire beginning of your relationship was an awkward dance of both trying to be someone you weren’t just to please the other until settling into the feeling of normalcy.
Sighing you get in line to pay. “Sorry. I’ve been so high-strung there a situation.”
“I heard, my condolences.”
“You didn’t have to send all that stuff. So um thanks.”
He looks at you and nods. “You know my parents still think we’re dating and keep asking me if they’ll get to see you again or if I’ll pop the question.”
“You’re kidding.”
“Nope, we’ve been fake dating for two years now.”
“You’re the worst, your mom is so nice.”
“Will you join in the lie with me? I have a lot of gifts for you from them.”
You think about it. “Fine, only because your parents are nice.”
He nods. “Good because I don’t know if I can keep making excuses.”
“Maybe you should have just told her we’re not dating anymore. All I ask is that we keep our distance.”
“Right, distance.”
“Not right now you blockhead. Ugh, maybe if you become my scapegoat I won’t have to get dragged all over Japan.”
“Then it’s agreed?”
You give a nod. “Two years.”
“Works for me.”
10: Festival (America specific)
Mirio
“Welcome, I’m glad the others were able to come,” you smile as you pick up the fallen cup.
“Falcon, you have such a nice house,” Lemillion smiles as he fidgeted with something in his hands.
You chuckle. “It’s family property, so I just got lucky.”
“The festival sounded fun.”
You raise a brow. “First, call me Y/N, we’re out of uniform. Second, place your dish on the table.”
It was just a little gathering and you knew what the Japanese hero was talking about. Luckily you could abandon this social gathering and leave it in the capable hands of your little brother and cousin.
“Togata is fine.” He smiles placing his dish down.
You nod. “Um so if you wanna go to the festival I would love to go. I just need to find the right time to dip.”
He looked confused. “Are you sure?”
“Yeah, this wasn’t my idea. I just got appointed the leader. Wait here,” you smile before disappearing into the crowd.
Awkwardly Mirio looks around being polite and saying hello. But he didn’t expect you to grab his hand and quickly hold a finger over his lips.
“Quiet, if you say anything my quirk might get disrupted.” You whisper as you pull his hand gently. “Let’s go.”
It was a bit of a walk from your family property to the main part of the beach. There was a music festival going on. With a small smile and your wallet, you drag Mirio around excitedly through the expensive food stands, then onto the sand to listen to the bands just moving with the crowd.
While getting a few fancy drinks he grabs your free hand. “Careful you might get lost because of the crowd.”
You give a lazy smile. “Come on let’s go sit on the steps. Maybe we can visit a different stage.”
“I wish my friend could have been here,” he laughs as you lead the way.
“Why don’t we do something like this again? You bring your friends and I’ll bring mine and we’ll make the weekend of it. Like a planned vacation,” you offer with a lopsided grin, you were still steady on your feet so you were just saying anything to speak.
“Y/N, you made this fun. Thanks,”
“Mmm, that’s good. I’m glad, cause I’m gonna get grilled for going into the agency tipsy,” you smile.
Mirio takes your cup from your hand and finishes it quickly. “No, we’ll both get in trouble.”
“Careful there Goldie, we still have to walk back to my house.” You squeak.
11: “Sea to shining, really? You’re going to buy the ice cream alone.”
Wally west
“Dating is so hard,” your little sister whines as you continue to unpack your apartment from the boxes.
“If you have the energy to move your lips you can start putting these dishes away unless you wanna go home to mom.” You and your little sister got along about as well as two snapping turtles, not very often when you were together.
She grabs a few glasses off the counter. “Speaking of dating, when will I get to meet your ever-elusive boyfriend?”
You roll your eyes. “Maybe when Springfield gets a proper storm.”
“Haha, come on. I wanna meet him, that way mom will stop trying to get me to set you up,” she smirks.
“Oh, my relationship status is so important,” you roll your eyes. “He’s busy with work. I am busy with my degree our free time doesn’t match.”
“Okay okay, I’ll stop pushing. But like send me a picture of you two together at least,” she smiles.
It only took a few hours to get all your things put away. Moving in the middle of the summer was probably the worst idea you’ve ever had, especially when you had so little food in your new place. Your sister had already left and you were trying to find a place to order take out from. Singing to yourself as you scroll through the ads.
Now you weren’t very patriotic, there were so many things that could be different about your country but you did have to sing as a job. Right now your small group was recording for a historical special and the song was on loop in your head like it paid rent.
“From sea to shining—
You stop as the front door opens. Standing in the doorway making all the noise in the world you frown. “Really?”
“Hey baby,” Wally walks in and pulls you into a tight hug.
“I was trying to figure out what to eat for dinner, and now I’m at the top of the page again because you came in like it’s not the middle of the night.” You huff.
“Awe but baby I missed you.”
“I missed you too, but you’re buying the ice cream, alone.” You cross your arms.
He hugs you tighter. “Wait no, you know I always buy too much. Baby please I need an adult.”
“Nope, I’m buying dinner you’re just gonna have to put on your big boy pants and go to the store by yourself.” You pout,
“I’d this because I didn’t help you unpack?”
You continue scrolling to find a nearby restaurant.
“Baby.”
“No, and this isn’t about unpacking, it’s because you got space goo in the washer before I left my last apartment,” you huff.
“I said I was sorry.”
“Sorry doesn’t get my deposit back. You’re lucky I have any money left over from buying a new washer for the damn con artist,” you grumble deciding on a healthy place. “Put in your order so I can buy it.”
Wally takes your phone still pouting. You had to admit he was cute.
“Fine I’ll drive you to the store and you can ask me what to get while I stay in the car.”
12: Lizards
Razor
As an aspiring alchemist, you were no stranger to trying to gather different materials. But that was just it– you were aspiring– because your guardian wouldn’t let you lead alchemy.
“I can do it too if I have someone to learn from,” you whine throwing yourself back into the grass.
From the look of the sky, it would rain soon. But you didn’t want to get up. Wallowing would be much better. Though you did want to try gathering the lizard tails.
“Hello.”
You wanted to retest from the face super close to yours but you were already on the ground and if you went up you’d definitely hit his face. His white hair hung down around and clouded your vision of the area around you.
“Razor, you’re too close.” Gently you reach up and push his shoulders.
“Laying down, it will rain,” he states not budging.
At this, you nod. “Yes it’ll rain soon, but I need Lizards.”
“Lizard?”
“Mm, maybe if I gather the ingredients Sucrose will teach me something,” you admit. “But dad won’t let me.”
Suddenly a different voice joins in. “Because you need to learn to fight properly before you can do alchemy.”
“Bennett.”
Razor sits up and you do so as well. “You know if you weren’t so bent on being an adventurer maybe our dads wouldn’t try to make me do it too.”
Years ago around the same time Bennett was left with the knight of Favonius you were as well covered in blood with a Dendro vision clutched tightly in your small fingers. Shaking the memory away you frown.
“Maybe I should go back?” You pout the clouds were coming in faster casting a shadow.
“We can help find Lizards,” Razor says as he stands up.
Bennett smiles. “Yeah, we can help.”
Razor holds out a hand to you. Accepting it you look at your brother. “Only the tails, we can’t hurt the lizards.”
“At the same time practice,” Razor offers.
I wince. “If it rains I don’t wanna feel the after effect of your lightning Razor.”
He smiles. “I will be careful.”
13: Resort
Daichi
Usually, you’d be mad that people didn’t watch where they were going, effectively knocking you back a few steps but a hand pulls you to their side and you give a small smile to your boyfriend. With all the training you’ve been doing you were glad for the long break to spend quality time with your boyfriend, it would have been better if it was only you two but it was a group trip.
“Y/N, we’re almost there. Are you okay?” Daichi asks while looking over you.
“Yeah, I’m fine, no reason to worry.” Fixing your shirt you look around for your friends.
Daichi just takes your hand in his firmly, leading the way to the small group.
“You finally made it!” The small woman jumping up and down could barely contain her excitement. “I was so excited to meet your partner Y/N, you two are so cute.”
One of your taller friends nods. “Uiha is checking in with Kuuro.”
Adjusting your bag you smile. “Got it, and how are the rooms?”
“We have one big room,” Uiha holds up the room keys with a groan. “Apparently when I made the reservation for the resort they just processed it as one big room with our party size.”
“Well, it’s not like it would have mattered,” you sigh. “Let’s go take our things up so we can at least have a moment to relax.”
Kuuro smirks. “How about Uiha and I take the luggage to the room and you six go have fun walking around?”
Daichi rolls his eyes. “Not a chance. We all came here to relax.”
“I’m hurt did all that training together not make us friends?”
You raise a brow confused. “You guys trained together?”
“Yes, but I don’t wanna think about it.”
With a shrug, you were more than happy to follow Uiha. Making sure everyone’s things were put away.
You stood in your swimwear raising a brow. As the group walked into the pool area. Everyone was staring, maybe that was just what it was like but you wanted to relax.
“If you pretend that they’re trees it is easier to ignore.” Daichi offers.
“Y/N! Can we do a match of beach volleyball?” Your smaller friend, Kitty asks as she grips your open arm.
You frown. “I don’t know, we have like four volleyball players here and I don’t wanna deal with that kind of defeat.”
Kuuro calls back. “It seems like a better option there are fewer people on the beach.”
“Come on Y/N, beach volleyball and indoor volleyball are two different things.” Uiha urges.
You sigh. “But if you slap my back or leg during the match I’m done. You don’t know how to control your strength when you play.”
Daichi chose to watch instead. But did join for a little bit. Overall the first day was fun, and you got to lay on the beach with Daichi while the others played in the water.
14: Sunflowers
Kiba (modern au)
You groan leaning on the desk, taking on the role of a preschool teacher was a mistake. Because the only school you got accepted to hold classes in the summer. Today your group didn’t have class but the principal still wanted all teachers to come in, but… the air conditioning in the teachers' office was busted.
“Y/N, if you keep groaning like that it’ll get hotter.” Someone complains.
Frowning you tried to think. “Can’t we have a water day? I’m sure the kids would love it.”
“We can’t remember Daichi and Futaba in shooting star class are petrified of water.” Someone else says.
Suddenly the back of your head hurt as you tried to peel your face off the desk to glare at the offender you were faced with someone else. “Y/N, I have a new task for you.”
About to right yourself you frown. “Please no more. I already have to organize the parent lunch, prepare the lists for the incoming preschoolers, check the plants in the crescent moon class, and disinfect all the cubbies.”
“It’s nothing that taxing, I just need you to water the sunflowers in the morning and the middle of the day.”
A chorus of groans sounds. “Not fair Y/N, gets sunflower duty?” “If she does that I’ll take up indoor plant duty can’t have them on double plant duty.”
“Sunflowers?”
“Yes, the full moon class is growing sunflowers. They are the tall ones.” The principal sighs. “Just this one thing. That’s all I need.”
You nod. “I can do that.”
The next morning you went to grab the hose and start. But when you got to the fence you noticed someone standing on the other side. This particular part of the fence wasn’t solid because the sunflowers would be grown there. Instead of paying them much mind, you started watering.
“Y/N? You became a preschool teacher?”
You look up a bit confused and blink. Did you know this person?
As if reading the confused expression on your face the male leaning over the fence covers his cheeks to hide the red marks under his eyes.
“Inuzuka?” Blinking you stand up straight and you forgot to let go of the hose head pull.
Effectively watering the man standing there.
He just laughs. “Now you should be able to recognize me.”
“I’m so sorry, let me get you a towel.” You drop the offending gardening tool away from the flower buds and quickly run inside.
Throwing the towel over to him you must have apologized quite a few times.
“Why don’t we make it up over coffee on your next day off?” Kiba offers.
You were a flustered mess as you take the towel back. “That sounds good.”

Kaz's Writing Highlight Reel
My personal favorite scenes and moments to write in all the fics I currently have on my masterlist
My Hero Academia
What's Left Unsaid (from part 3)
Just by observing his face, something changed. He was ready for another plan, another attempt of some kind. Maeko would have to make this believable. Obviously the only way to convince Kugo, was just to make an honest attempt.
She took a deep breath and darted to his side. She attempted to kick his head but she was caught. And pinned again. That was a much shorter attempt than she would have liked.
"What was that about winning, Maeko?"
She really shouldn't have activated her quirk. She knew it was a mistake before she did it, but despite this not being anywhere near part of the plan, this was probably the clearest intent he's spoken with all morning.
The lights in the room turned a deep red that she hadn't seen in quite some time, and it took everything Maeko had to keep herself together. Breathing deeply, she made a slow and deliberate movement as her hand wandered up his shoulder and stayed on his chest. "So, it hasn't occurred to you that I might be exactly where I want to be?"
"I don't see why you would want to be here, seeing as you've lost again." Kugo replied.
"Really?" She asked. "You don't see why I might want to be pinned to the mats beneath you, at all?"
Maeko gently curled his shirt into her fist, ever so slightly making him lean closer. "Kugo, if you wanted to be on top, you just had to ask."
He was close enough that she could feel him tense for a second before relaxing. His guard was down.
In one swift movement, Maeko forced him up and rolled him to the side, successfully pinning him under her. Though 'pinning' was a loose term. Kugo was large enough that even sitting on top his stomach meant only one of her knees, on either side of him, could be touching the ground at a time, but Maeko was clearly getting her point across.
"Though, I'm not at all opposed to this view either." She gave a toothy smirk as she peered down at him. "And you're a lot heavier than you look." She noted how much force she had to exert just to get him to roll, even when his guard was down.
Kugo's hands went to her thighs, and it only took a small pull on his part to teeter her forward to where she had to hold her hands on either side of his head just to stop from smacking her forehead into his nose.
He didn't say anything, though there must have been a lot going through his head to be staring with such intensity. Maeko, for her part, stayed still, wrestling with her own thoughts as she waited, wide eyes, for him to make just one move. Or was this his way of trying to get her to make a decision?
If she were to make the move, what would she do? Kiss him? Right here, right now? Right before they were to supposedly make a public spectacle of their relationship? That didn't seem like a wise idea. Though, every second his hands stayed on her legs, she was all the more tempted to just abandon work.
Suddenly, there was a noise at the top of the stairs, which forced Maeko to get off Kugo and reorient herself in record time. "Good morning, Kazu!"
I don't think it's a secret that I'm a sucker for sexual tension in sparring scenes. Considering that I've written three different spars in three different fics and two out of three have been for sexual tension, I think it's safe to say this shit is my weakness.
Plus I just think this scene works very well for these two characters. Maeko is very smug, and I love writing her and Kugo in situations where they understand each other without needing to say much of anything. I love when I can make their actions speak louder than words, hence the title I chose for this series.
In Loving Memory (from part 1)
"It's not easy to calm down about this. It's been almost fifteen years since I've had to trust someone with the memory of me." She was going to start rambling if he let her keep going.
"It's ok. Don't worry about that yet. Now, tell me why again you don't trust me." He said.
"Because I never trust anyone. You're not different, you're not special. But as of a week ago, you are the only person on the planet that knows who I am." She explained.
"Alright, so we've established that you don't trust me any more than everyone else. Which is understandable. I met you a week ago." He followed along. "But since I do remember you, and we don't have a way to fix that beyond extreme violence, we need to figure something else out. You said there was no reason you should trust me. In the event of someone having memories of you, what would make you trust them with that information?'
Shizune thought for a second. "I need to know that person won't tell others about me. I need to be a complete secret."
"That's great, because I don't want to talk to anyone about you." He deadpanned.
"But how can I be sure that you won't be convinced by one of your friends to talk about me? How do I know that Yamada or Kayama can't ask the right question to get you to talk about me?"
"First, I'm an underground hero, just like you. If you don't want anyone to know about you, then nobody will know about you." He promised. "And second, I don't even want to tell them about myself, let alone make an effort to tell them about you."
"Fair enough…" She shrugged. "But I still don't know you. For all I know you could be lying about this."
"And for that, we'll have to trust each other." Shouta figured. "How about I give you a piece of information about me that I don't want people knowing?"
"You would do that?"
"I don't want to, but it's fair. I'd be essentially letting you hold me hostage." He explained. "If someone ends up knowing about you in any way that you haven't given them, then you have this information to do what you want with."
Shizune looked him up and down. "What makes you think I need something true to do that?"
"You don't, but this is supposed to be a gesture of trust."
"Oh yeah…." She remembered. "You do realize it'll have to be something genuinely secret. Something you would literally rather die than have other people know about."
"Which is the issue. I don't think there's anything I would have a problem with other people knowing."
Immediately Shizune lit up with a wicked smile across her face. His students should be glad he doesn't smile like that. "I bet I can find something."
"I will bet you can't." He deadpanned. "Not that I think your investigation skills are lacking, there's just nothing for you to find."
"More mysterious men than you have said that to me and been so. very. wrong." She chuckled, taking a step closer to him. He didn't like the sound of that, but if it meant she could find something that would make her less of a lunatic, then he would let her investigate.
"If you're that confident in yourself, then you have my permission to poke around in my life until you find something." Shouta allowed. "But I don't think you needed my permission in the first place."
"Eh, I don't stalk people unless I need to for work." She shrugged. "I'll see you around."
I promise I will update this eventually. I wanted to challenge myself with writing a character that was completely unhinged, yet still somewhat likeable. I don't know if I succeeded in this first part, but the next will be more detailed.
However, my biggest concern was actually being able to capture Shouta's energy correctly, and I made a post about it before this went up. I was so worried about writing him out of character, but in the end I was so proud of this scene, because I think I did a very good job capturing his apathy as well as his reasoning. It's unconventional, but I do love this pair, and I think Aizawa would end up accidentally falling in love with someone nobody would ask about as well as someone as wild as Shizune.
In Loving Memory of Old Friends
But what stood out the most in the picture was that Sir was smiling. More than likely laughing at something that was said as his attention was on Kiokuro.
"I know there aren't many photos of Mirai, because he didn't like appearing in front of cameras. He was always really camera shy." She said. "Even if you searched for years, you probably couldn't find a picture of him smiling. And since you of all people know what it was like to see him smile, I figured you deserved to have something to remember him like that."
Mirio was on the verge of tears, but was stopping himself from crying. "They couldn't even find a photo of him happy for the funeral." He remembered.
"That picture was taken at the celebration of him finally being able to open The Sir Nighteye Hero Agency." She offered the context. "Centipeder was actually the one that took the photo. He took it right after I gave Mirai my application to work under the Nighteye agency."
I knew early on in the concept of Shizune's character that I wanted her to be a third year teacher for some kind of investigation course. However, one of the perks of that would be her connection to the third year students that we see in canon. After working out the mechanics of her quirk, I realized she would have been a great fit for Sir Nighteye's strategy in his hero work. After all, he'd need someone to gather all that information for the Overhaul invasion, and in canon, he just says he has sources that can just tell him a lot about the compound. Might as well make Shizune one of those sources.
But I really liked writing this because one of my favorite things about writing OC stories in the space of canon, is that I can expand on the canon story in whatever way I want. I can give more nuance and depth to Mirio and Nighteye's friendship/mentorship, and I can write Mirio's grief in a way we don't really get to explore it in MHA, because Mirio isn't the main character.
Not to say that I can write it better than the creator, but yes I can, Mineta should die a painful death.
Star Wars
Between Regulations and Protocols (from part 2)
"You know as well as I do that Konstantine will not be so easy to convince." He said. "The only reasoning that Konstantine respects is military rank or status."
"What are you suggesting, Thrawn?" She finally broke.
"I can bring the situation to the attention of Grand Moff Tarkin, and at the very least, I can temporarily seize control of the occupation and give your people the place you need for your tradition or aid you in convincing Konstantine." He offered.
To say Ceka was taken aback by the offer was an understatement. It looked as though she had to physically stop herself from flinching when she finally processed exactly what Thrawn was suggesting. "Not even you would offer such a massive contribution without a promise of something in return."
She was sharp. "All I desire is the opportunity to study your Tribe's tradition for myself."
"You want an invitation." Ceka pieced together. "That's it?"
Thrawn nodded. "Your Tribe's tradition of keeping an oral history among its people instead of a written record makes it difficult for me to study the culture for myself. As you may have deduced, learning of arts and cultures foreign to my own is a passion of mine." He explained. "If I cannot study by my usual methods, I want to find an alternative. The way you explain it tells me the best way is to experience it for myself."
Ceka considered something for a minute, looking over his expression carefully. "That's really all you want?"
"Yes." He stated firmly. "Is that so difficult to believe?"
"A little." She agreed. "When you suggested coming to Shili with me, I was going to invite you anyway. It's not exactly a closed event."
Thrawn allowed himself to find the irony in that. "Give me a day. We can depart by tomorrow morning."
It is a generally accepted headcanon in the fandom that Thrawn joined the military to pay for his art history major. And when it comes to the most innocent of his motivations, writing his commitment to the study of art is the most fun. I don't think it's a stretch of the imagination to say that Thrawn would offer to use his rank to help someone in exchange for the opportunity to study some art.
As for between him and Ceka, I like the familiarity I get to write between them. This fic has a few time skips in it where there isn't really any plot, or romance happening, but the two of them are really only becoming more comfortable around each other in a system that was not designed to make them comfortable. And the way that Thrawn so shamelessly asks for an invitation is quite amusing to Ceka.
Doom
They Called Her Mania (from part 2)
"What the fuck did you do, Mania!?"
"I was hoping power had been cut off to the facility, but I guess the old electric lines are still kicking in Peru." She laughed. "Stay tuned, we're about to have company!"
"You're either insane or just stupid."
"My dude, I’m literally called ‘Mania!’ This one’s kinda on you."
His apparatus was fucked, so he couldn't have new guns teleported to him like he usually would. All he had was a semi-automatic rifle and this thing ate up ammo like a bitch. Not to mention he had to keep Mania alive, and take her orders to get the scanner out of here.
The first wave ran in from the lower levels mostly imps, and a hell knight or two. Slayer took aim at the imps and managed to trim their numbers down by half. He could only take out one hell knight before noticing the level they came in on had a few imps and another hell knight barreling in.
"Mania, you have incoming!" He called out.
"Incoming!? Make them stop coming, I'm busy!"
"I'm also a little busy at the moment!"
"I don't have a weapon, dipshit!" She growled.
"Then improvise!"
Only a few seconds went by before there was a thunderous explosion from around where she was working.
"The hell was that!?"
"I fucking improvised! I've almost got it open, but the other fluctuating cell is gonna blow." She warned before another explosion sounded.
The upper part of the room filled with smoke and he could hear Mania coughing. But the echo soon became shallow, telling him she was now inside the rig, trying to get the scanner out.
"How's it going out there?" She asked.
"Just perfect." He noted. "We just gotta hope nothing bigger shows up."
There was a low screech from the upper level. The doorway was busted open and a Baron of Hell launched itself at the rig, clutching the side just above the Slayer.
"Oh yeah, you just had to test it, didn't you?" She groaned.
Slayer rolled his eyes, and scrambled up the side of the rig away from the baron to hopefully gather more ammo before it could attack. "You want me to knock on wood or something? Back in my day, shit was made out of wood!"
"Back in your day? Jesus, how old are you!?"
He loaded a new mag into the gun, looping around the curve to shoot down at the baron. "That's a surprisingly difficult question to answer!"
The bullets did almost nothing against the baron and he was running out of them fast.
The banter between these two basically wrote itself, and to this day, I don't think I've been able to capture this kind of back and forth between two characters in any of my fics. This is the product of two people that are forced to trust each other, realizing that they are actually a very good pair.
Banter is usually a challenge to write without just making it read like the characters actually hate each other, and this scene convinced me that I could do it. Not to mention, this is the first scene where I really lay down the groundwork for the two of them falling in love. Considering the Slayer doesn't actually have a lot of canon characterization other than being quiet and menacing, I had a lot to work with in regards to writing the story how I want to.
Arcane
Fuck Around and Find Out (from part 4)
"So, what was he studying?" Devo asked, making Viktor jump slightly with a small yelp when she showed up out of nowhere.
"How did you get in here?" He asked.
"Did you forget the sheriff is basically my mother?"
"Ah, right." He remembered. "I don't know, the Professor never told me what Mr. Talis was studying."
"That's gonna make this a lot harder on him than it has to be." Devo deduced.
"Heimer seems to feel differently."
"Heimer isn't on trial." She said, "The other councilors are going to eat him alive when they think a little too long about how he blew up a building and they have nothing to blame for it other than his own gross negligence."
"You make a fair point." Viktor agreed. "Unless of course, he was studying something far more condemning that makes such a dangerous oversight seem malicious."
"Wanna bet on it?" She asked. Viktor returned her gaze with a mischievous smile. "I'll bet twenty gold that he'll blame it on ignorance of volatile materials."
"Thirty that he will fall apart and use the research as justification for the accident." He bet.
"Those two are not mutually exclusive. What if he does neither?"
"Then we're both out of luck."
"And what if he does both?" She asked.
"Then the two of us have fifty gold to perhaps go on a proper date." Viktor suggested, making her nearly freeze.
"A-Are you asking me out on the odds of man's criminal trial?"
"Well when you say it like that, it does not sound nearly as romantic, but yes, I believe I am."
It was audacious, smug, and downright absurd. It was just Viktor. "Alright, you're on."
When I write dialogue for canon characters, I especially take care to keep them in character. I need to be able to hear the voice of Viktor when I write lines for him. So when it came to Devo and Viktor settling into a dynamic that I could be proud of, I first write them platonically, then I add the romantic aspects. I feel this moment captures their dynamic especially well.
They start off simply talking about the topic of Jayce's trial as though they are friends that are just equally involved in this mess at the moment. They strike a bet because they just want to mess around in a way they both relate to. Then Viktor simply opens the possibility of a romantic angle. It was between this scene and the scene where Viktor and Devo are talking about their shared troubles with dating in the past. And how most people don't accept that their work is the reason they enjoy life. Both Viktor and Devo exist as a way to enjoy more of life than just their work. Maybe they'll enjoy going home as much as they enjoy working in the future.
The Least Sane Moments (from part 4)
"Just ask what you're trying to figure out, Vander."
"It's not important to ask right now." He said.
"That's a roundabout way of saying you're too scared to ask." She pointed out. "I've questioned thousands of people in my life, and you've been more nervous than half of them all day. You're not the type to avoid a question."
Vander let out a long sigh, and closed the door behind him. He stepped over to her slowly and sat down on the floor with his back resting against the bed. He was close enough to reach out and touch. "I'm scared to ask because the answer is just for me. And I know it's a sore subject for you."
Mita brought her fingers to his hair, and Vander dropped his head back as soon as she brushed through, occasionally guiding her nails across his scalp. This was softer than his beard, but Mita was trying not to think about it too much, even if whatever this was had as much of a calming effect on her as was clear with Vander's expression.
"You can always ask. I won't disappear because you asked something you wanted to know."
She could feel him relax against the mattress. "It's terrifying the way you don't take care of yourself, Mita."
"I'm starting to get that." She agreed, thinking of Ekko for a second.
"I'm trying to figure out why." He said.
That confused her. "Why what?"
"Why are you so scared of him?" He asked. "I can tell it goes beyond losing a fight."
Her hand froze where it was in his hair. Immediately she could tell that Vander was trying to understand this from her perspective. He had never crossed a line that she hadn't allowed him to, and even then, he always let her take control to stop him if she wanted to. Even now he knew that Mita would be just as scared to answer as he was to ask, and he gave her fair warning before he even said the words.
What surprised Mita more than him asking, was that she wanted to tell him. But there was a wall in her throat that stopped her from just spitting it out. What was once a wall that shielded her was now an obstacle.
"I-I need more time." She said.
"You can say it's too much." He offered. "I won't take it personal."
"No, I just-" her fingers ran through his hair again as more of a comfort to herself. "I want to tell you. Just give me some time to think of how to say it."
"How long?" Vander asked.
"I'm sure I can figure it out by tonight." Mita answered, forcing herself to take her hand out of his hair and let him get up.
Can you tell yet that writing the dynamics of relationships is my favorite part of writing? Obviously, Mita and Vander look a lot different than a pair like Devo and Viktor. And a lot of that has to do with the maturity of the characters themselves. Mita has a lot of experience reading people, and Vander's wisdom shows itself in both respecting what Mita has said she has a rough time with and how he trusts her to simply say what she wants instead of beating around it. If they want to clear something up, they just ask even if it takes a while to work up to saying something, instead of leaving it up to interpretation.
I like this moment especially because it's the first bridge that Mita shows to actually trusting Vander. This is her saying she wants to reach out, but she wants to make it clear that she doesn't know how to just yet. This scene reminds me of a headcanon that @gatnalien sent me on how Mita enjoys soft, silly moments, and I really liked that concept. The physical affection she shows Vander in this scene is just as important as her telling him that she's working up the courage to have a serious and vulnerable conversation with him.
Devil of the Crossroads (from part 3)
The office door was closed, but not locked. Without knocking, she walked in, finding Silco speaking with Sheriff Marcus.
The two of them went silent, watching her stroll in like the two of them were trespassing on her property.
"Do you need something, Pepper?" Silco asked quite sure of himself and his power, taking his attention away from her to appear as though she was just another goon in front of Marcus. Too bad she wouldn't be playing along.
"I got a question." She said, calmly, taking slow, meandering steps up to Silco's desk and plopping the folded map, blotched with the blood of his employee. "How many maps did it take you to find the audacity to do what you did?"
Silco glared up at her. "Is that all-"
She cut him off by stabbing the map with his goon's knife, also still stained with blood.
"Leave us, Marcus." The Enforcer all but sprinted out, closing the door. The two of them were left in a scorching silence.
Pepper braced herself against the desk, staring down at him. "Silco, I'm more than obliged to work for you. I'll take your orders, and your blood money at your bar. Hell, I'll put blood on the money myself for you should the need arise." She didn't look away from his healthy eye, just to ensure he kept looking at her.
"But there are only two people in this world that I'll choose over you every time. And you're the only man I've ever known to be dumb enough to try holding a knife against both of 'em." She spat. "I suggest you think over your next words carefully. Else I regret being gracious enough to ask you to speak at all."
Silco, who had looked ready to make his case, or reinforce his threat, stayed silent. Instead he reached slender fingers into a vest pocket and handed her a folded piece of paper.
Pepper took it, and opened it immediately. It was an address. One she didn't recognize but she knew where it was. It was actually fairly close to the bar. "What's here?"
"The address of the man that I sent to give your daughter a message meant for you." Silco explained. "I did not permit him to attack your child."
It was a peace offering. "And you don't care what happens to him."
"He knows he is no longer in my good graces, but he did not trespass against me. If anyone should decide hia fate, it would be you." Silco said.
"And you expect me to believe, what? That my daughter is safe because you're offering that fucker's head instead of yours?" Pepper asked. "Would you believe me if it were Jinx?"
Silco gave a small smile. "I couldn't let my people think I'd just let you get away with your stunt without threatening something." He explained. "However, Sevika made one or two good points last night in your favor. Your real repayment for the stunt you pulled will be fixing the problem you caused."
Pepper stood up, glaring down at him with sharp observation. "And, you want me to go back downstairs like I learned my lesson?"
"Essentially." Silco agreed. "Believe it or not, regardless of the stupidity you've shown, I respect your loyalty to your friend, and now your daughter. I'm trying to reach a compromise."
"A compromise." Pepper echoed, taking a few steps to round his desk and lean against the surface next to him. She thought for a moment about how it would play out if she took his offer. "I don't accept it."
No surprises here. I loved this scene so much, I wrote it twice. So, I haven't been super vocal about how I write Silco, but I personally headcanon him as being demisexual and demiromantic. Devil of the Crossroads, will be a much more plot driven story than most of my other fics that are romance driven. Pepper and Silco will have a lot of development between the two of them before either of them start seeing each other in any romantic or sexual way.
However, what that does mean is that I get to give Silco and Pepper a very platonically loyal relationship, and it starts with the two of them seeing each other for their strengths, and filling in each other's weaknesses. But I love this scene for a very simple reason: I absolutely love writing Pepper's threats. She's a character that has spent a long time learning to be confident in herself, and I love showing it in how she faces people in positions of power. She doesn't care how much money you have or who you command, she knows what she's capable of, and you need to pray you don't find out.
Innocent Schemes and Guilty Consciences (from part 1)
Perhaps she was some kind of sorceress, but he wasn't about to question this gift she's given him.
"A flawless execution if I do say so myself." Vivian lauded.
"I certainly couldn't have done it myself." He said. "But if I want my story to remain solid, I really should get you home."
"My knight in shining armor, surely." She did stumble in her heels, but she clung to his arm for stability. "Humor me for a moment if you're willing. What made you so eager to leave the gala?"
"I don't like to waste my time on events like those." He answered honestly. "Especially when I have someone waiting for me at home."
"I uh… I apologize if I was a bit too forward. I didn't see a ring, so I assumed-"
"Don't worry about it, I'm not currently married." He held her hand on his arm perhaps a bit too obviously to stop her from pulling away. "My daughter. She's probably waiting up, way past her bedtime for me to come home."
"Your daughter." Vivian repeated. "How old is she?"
"She turned four in the spring." He chuckled. "She's just learning to read and I can't seem to get enough books on her shelf to satisfy her."
She hugged closer to his arm as she laughed with him. "With intellect like that, she'll rule us all."
"Ah, well I can only hope not to raise a tyrant, then." He laments.
"Sounds like you have your work cut out for you." She says, coming to a stop in front of a modest apartment complex. "I wouldn't want to keep you any longer."
"I believe my job here is done, seeing as you made it here in one piece."
"You are relieved of your duty for the night, Sheriff." Vivian takes his guiding hand up to the door. "Of course you're welcome to come by Cradles any time if you want a drink after a long day. Or if you're looking for another innocent scheme to pull."
"Hmm, if it hadn't come in handy, I might be concerned about your willingness to be an accomplice to conspiracy, Vivian."
It was worth it to hear her laugh one more time. "Until next scheme, Marcus."
He watched as Vivian eventually disappeared behind the door. As eager as he had been to leave the party, having her leave his company felt too soon.
It had been a long time since he'd smiled that much.
So, I was chatting with someone on a discord server I'm a member of, and I broached the topic of writing a fic where I put Marcus in a romantic light. It was a strange move, as a few people suggested, but really, I wanted to write this as a way of exploring Marcus' character in a different way than we see in the series. Obviously, he is a very gray character, but we really only get to see him through his fear and his guilt. I wanted to explore a story where I could show him beyond that.
My next chapters will definitely feature Vivian more, as the audience gets to see her character more, but I particularly enjoyed writing this scene because of how unapologetically fluffy it is. When I was chatting in discord, we also figured Marcus would be a character to take new relationships very slowly. Between Vivian's patience and Marcus' situation, I think the rest of this series will be very fun to write.
