"go to hell" is easy "I hope the fanon of one of your favourite characters is so wildly different to the canon that you start to forget what you like about them" is real. it's terrifying. it's happened to me.

my thoughts on the making of loki s2:

• “our approach was really doubling down on who loki cares about, who we care about.” and then having season 2 centre around loki & mobius’ relationship, how he cares for his friends, and sylvie’s independence & what she wants/fought for like okay cool got it.

• “tom is the author of all things loki” he really, truly is. bless him.

• ke huy quan must be protected at all costs the world does not deserve him

• loml rafael casal 💞💅🏻

• “mobius can be eccentric, because loki is eccentric, he just is. but they don’t see themselves that way. they’re the straight man (???) in this absurd world.” 🤨🧐 kevin…you were going somewhere and then you lost me.

• “this is her first chance to experiment with freedom, with choice.” (about sylvie). and her choosing a simple life, with the comfort of routine and connecting with a few particular humans and just appreciating life. the little things. with no romantic motivations that we see. big aspec energy.

and then replaying the scenes where she says “my life’s here now” and “your friends are where they belong. we’re all writing our own stories” like. yeah. just reiterating how important this life she’s built is to her and she has no interest in going back. she appreciates loki & mobius and the others in helping her to keep/save free will - but aside from that, she’d be fine never seeing them again. because if she did - it would probably mean trouble. fighting again. running again. and she’s already spent her whole life fighting and running. she’s tired. of course she was upset they kept seeking her out, cuz she thought she was done. that she fixed everything that mattered. even though she didn’t. but now she gets to live. and be sylvie. “not a loki” and to figure out who that is.

• 700 PAGE BOOK??!!? isaac bauman, the cinematographer. wrote a 700 PAGE “cinematography bible” of the entire visual language of the show. down to the smallest lights. the pure tism dedication. this is what i’m talking about when i say everything is intentional. every shot. the lighting. the tone. every time someone writes an analysis about these themes in this show - just one page of this mans work is appreciated. i never want to hear anyone talking shit about “reading too much” into cinematography. i have isaac bauman’s loki cinematography bible on my side.

• wunmi is so funny and warm i love her energy

• TOM “HELPING” OWEN UP THE STAIRS. 🫴🏻dead.

• christopher townsend sounds EXACTLY like an older tom holland it’s tripping me up

• “what is it mobius says…” tom says and then recites the line word for word. as if loki wasn’t thinking of that line while sacrificing himself. as if mobius’ words weren’t echoing over him in the final shot of the show. he’s so funny.

• speaking of…owen only talked for like 5 minutes what?? probably started rambling about mobius’ gay feelings for loki and they cut it :/ seriously though did they just not ask him questions?? his presence felt weirdly lacking.

whats wrong with elysia?? i havent played genshin in a while idk who she is

LOML okay i should make it clear elysia is from honkai impact 3. i genuinely rly do like elysia its just that theres like 3 major points to her character/writing that make her genuinely infuriating and i hate her so bad. the problems with her writing do tend to fall into the same sort as the ones i have with raiden shogun, bc they both were written (mostly) by the same guy, limengan. (my mortal enemy).

so its like. 1) retconning previously established stuff [elysia retconning a major structure of the lore to fit her while also saying shes special so shes above it; raidens entire motivation being thrown out to make her an apathetic sadgirl whos not responsible for any of her own actions]

2) those retcons being made specifically in service of elevating elysia (and raiden) above any setup or implication that they might be complicated and committed to bad actions [elysia being a herrscher which was an enemy of humanity in the previous era but shes so pristine and pure as a crystal and loves humanity so much she doesnt function like other herrschers; raiden shutting up in her mind palace was because she was so sads about people she knew dying that she stopped giving a fuck about the suffering of her own people even when directly told they are suffering]

3) the writing trying really really hard to endear you to elysia and raiden despite me having major problems with their actions [elysia being horrible about boundaries and harassing mobius, not taking no for an answer, constantly overstepping mei's boundaries and calling everything dates even when mei explicitly tells her she doesnt feel the same; my qualms with raiden previously outlined above]

this isnt a full dissection of my issues with elysian realm (the arc elysia comes from) or inazuma's main story (let alone a full dive on my problems with either of the characters) but i feel like both girls represent the problems with their arcs more than anyone else. tldr i would also like it if the writing was good

Ahhhh thank you lovely, this is so fun! My sets aren't always the most creative but I adore them all and there have been a few this year where I really pushed myself 🥰💖

this Lokius finale set is my favorite yet and probably the closest I've ever gotten to transferring exactly what was in my mind into graphic form from style to coloring so it means a lot to me!

this Mobius set features the most gifs I've used at once plus a new layout format I'd always wanted to try and was just something I could have a lot of fun with celebrating the loml 💕

a tie between these two Lokius sets since blending and gradient use is something I've been practicing with off and on and these are exactly as cool and colorful as I could ever hope

honorary mention to this thirsty John Simm set because the clips I giffed were as far apart in quality, age, and lighting as anything and I was seriously proud of how consistently it all came together plus, yknow, my man look good 👀😳

Actually- I'm not sure if you did share- what were the ideas you had for cosplaying characters??? It was honkai right? But the honkai designs are so busy and filled with stuff... Idk how one would manage that. Though i guess there are simpler designs like ie Tesla who would also look really good!

Ooo anon let me bring you on my whole thought process.

So firstly i was thinking of doing that 1 ae outfit yk the beautiful purple dress but then it hit me first it would take forever to put on and idk how I'd walk in it.

Then i decided let me do a herrscher, that idea was very short lived bc have you seen how expensive they are😭😭 and most of them are kinda revealing to me so not for me. But i must say id love to see someone make a HoV cosplay id think it would be soo cool so someone tell me if you see one

Thenn i went to flamechasers so i obviously thought of my loml, Elysia but her outfit is wayy too short for me ( i might do her maid dress someday tho) mobius nopee bc i kinda want to keep my ability to walk😭, eden well not for me, felis wayy too short, aponia dont feel like dressing up like a nun so that leaves one person Grieso and her outfit is soo cute.

Then i started thinking of my favourite ships amd then i thought of bronya and seele (love those two) and then i thought why not do a seele cosplay then and i loved the idea amd i could definitely force convince someone very dear to me to cosplay bronya and if they say now I'll just cosplay the ship myself.

So im going to cosplay seele!! The outfit im going to get will be this one
