Former Brazilian military leaders said Bolsonaro proposed military coup a month before January 8 attacks on Brazil’s government headquarters

Two of Brazil’s top military commanders during the administration of former President Jair Bolsonaro testified to Federal Police that in December 2022, the then-president presented them with a plan for a military coup following his loss in the October elections to President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva.

The revelations came on Friday after Brazil’s Supreme Court released depositions from 27 former military personnel, ministers and presidential aides, taken by police earlier in March as part of their investigation into the alleged coup plotting in Bolsonaro’s administration.

Former commander of the Army, General Marco Antônio Freire Gomes, told police that a draft decree for the coup was presented by Bolsonaro and his ministers at a meeting at Palácio do Alvorada, the presidential palace, on December 7, 2022. At the time, according to Freire Gomes, Bolsonaro said that the document was still “under study” and he would “report progress to the commanders.”

At a second meeting on December 14, Freire Gomes said that a new version of the draft was presented, with the decree of a state of defense and the creation of an electoral regulatory commission to investigate the conformity and legality of the electoral process.

With access to their preferred weapon(s), which boy would be the most likely to win in a brawl against each other, and which one is most likely to win in a battle of wits?

There's a few ways this could go.

In a battle with just fists and nothing else, hand to hand, Marco and Allar are tied at being the strongest.

As for their preferred weapons, I'm gonna put it under a read more in case people are uncomfortable with them!

Louie's preferred weapon of choice is a classic; an army knife he got from his dad.

Allar doesn't actually use any weapons! Just his bare hands. Which is terrifying. (This does not include his playtime tools.)

Mica doesn't usually have to fight, but since he's so frail bodied he uses a taser in those situations.

Josh uses brass knuckles when he fights; though he really prefers not to.

Marco, being a "business man", uses a glock that he carries with him at all times.

Harv is another who doesn't use weapons; he tries his best not to act on his... impulses.

Safe to say, if they're all fighting with their weapons, Marco and Mica have the upper hand, here.

Now wits is another story! There's a reason Louie is so skinny and still able to get away with so much.

That is to also say though, that Allar is much smarter than he let's on. It's his intention that you think he's dumb.

Overall, the lesson here is, Allar is a terrifying person who we are grateful doesn't have anger issues. :)

Ex-Army commander, General Marco Antônio Freire Gomes confirmed to the Federal Police that he was summoned by former President Jair Bolsonaro (PL) to a meeting where coup-like proposals were discussed, including a draft measure to reverse Lula's (PT) election in December 2022.

People close to the general affirm that Freire Gomes answered about 250 questions about the final days of his command in the Army, in a testimony that lasted over seven hours last Friday (1st).

He implicated Bolsonaro as responsible for maintaining the coup-like encampments and absolved himself of the responsibility for the participation of the Armed Forces as election overseers, an action that cast doubt on the trustworthiness of the ballot boxes.
