This week's Monday Philm is Money for Nothing (1993), which has never been my favorite of PSH's early work but it's grown on me a bit.

It really is a fantastic cast—Benicio Del Toro especially standing out to me on this rewatch, along with Maury Chaykin (who worked with Phil 10 years later in a pretty similar role in Owning Mahowny). I still do not love John Cusack but he might be growing on me as well, possibly because I really really loved Love and Mercy (2015).

We almost don't get enough of the characters we want to see the most of, like James Gandolfini's Billy Coyle. Jim is so handsome and he reminds me so much of his son, Michael, in this. The resemblance is always there, but Jim here is just a few years older than Michael is now and their eyes, the way they carry themselves... It's kinda cute bc some of 25-year-old Phil's gestures and expressions in this remind me of Cooper in Licorice Pizza, and Coop and Michael were seen hanging out again this week :')

And once again thank Gd Phil-as-Ned Cochran keeps that beanie on in almost every scene because that is still the goofiest haircut they ever gave him on a movie <3
