What other “special” line of Eevee are there?

I'll try not to list too many! There's many more than the below. Each eeveelution has MANY different lines.

Vaporeon:

Royal - Notably a deep, royal blue color. Their face fins don't have the ribbing structure holding them up, so it drapes next to their face instead. 7/10. Doesn't really lower their quality of life, but their face fins are a lot more delicate and easy to tear. Fine if pet-only, but not battling.

Lotus - Often more green in color, but not exclusively. Their key feature is with their tail fins, splitting and overlapping. 4/10. Makes swimming harder.

Flareon:

Charcoal - black flareon! Unlike shinies, albinism and melanism can be bred for. 8/10. Just a good ol flareon with dark fur. Score would be higher, but there's some issues with in-breeding, which isn't as bad of a problem anymore thank god.

Oh My Fluff - yes that's the actual name. They're bred to have more brown fur and are EXTREMELY fluffy, looking more like an eevee. 2/10. Their fur is HELL to manage and while flareon are fluffy, the fur on the their torso is typically short and not long. This messes up their heat regulation. Susceptible to heat stroke. How do you mess up so bad that FIRE TYPE can get a heat stroke???

Jolteon:

False shiny - bred to have that greenish color of a shiny. Not an actual shiny tho. Fairly easy to breed due to color variation and p harmless tbh. 9/10. I kinda don't care if they scam people lmao. Quality of life doesn't suffer genetically.

Elegance-Style - distinctive trait has their usually spikey fur draping down instead. 10/10. Looks goofy, but a p harmless line. This line is weaker fighting wise tho.

Jolteon in general actually has p okay lines.

Since I'm NOT AT ALL being brief, more below the cut for the other eeveelutions.

Espeon:

Lavender-Point - you may see this trait on other Pokémon, but the "point" gene gives Pokémon darker fur on their face, ears, paws and tail(s). This line has darker purple at those points. 10/10, entirely harmless. Looks cool. This gene shows on eevee! Although at that point it's a darker brown or black, not lavender.

Twin Tail - has a fully split tail! While typically harmless, I've heard of breeders splitting the tail a birth if it doesn't have a perfectly split tail :( 5/10

Snow - an albino espeon! Contrary to popular belief, not all albinos have red eyes. This line is noted for having white fur and blue eyes. 3/10 because this line often ends up with bad hearing issues and are very sensitive to the light... which isn't good for an espeon.

I've honestly got SO many more on espeon.

Umbreon:

Moonlight - selectively bred to have have very pale, nearly white yellow rings. Very pretty. 9/10. Linked to odd lethargy? But they're just a little more lazy and sleepy.

Starlight - another albino! Pure white fur, purple-blue eyes. Rings are tactile visible but are also white and not very noticeable unless it's dark. 5/10. EXTREMELY sensitive to the sun. Tends to have eyesight and hearing issues.

Halloween - their rings are more orange than the per usual yellow, more noticeable canine fangs. Bad history with being used in illegal, to-death fights. Wildly believed to be more aggressive, but this is false. 8/10, bad history, but not a bad Pokémon.

Umbreon and espeon face less issues than sylveon. The feelings involved to evolve are a LOT less strong than the ones needed for a sylveon. Emotional manipulation tactics aren't typically used on them. They're usually just treated well.

Leafeon (has the least amount of lines):

Bright Eyes - blue or green eyes! Not... really much else to them. 7/10 for eye sight problems.

Spring time - hybrid line! Often crossbred with other grass types, specifically flowery ones, to get leafeon with flowers. 9/10, doesn't typically cause issues.

Glaceon:

Princess - noted for paler, bluer coloration (similar to a shiny). The ribbons on the side of their head swirl in a curl like pattern. 4/10. They tend to have pretty bad joint issues, especially when they get older.

Snow - surprisingly, not an albino! White fur, very pale baby blues where they should have darker markings. 9./10, very pretty. Sensitive to sunlight.

Both leafeon and glaceon have false shiny lines.

Sylveon:

Flower - their bow is feathered into a several splits, forming a full circle that looks kinda like a flower. Their coloration tends to lean more peachy.

Butterfly - two sectioned bow that looks like a butterfly wing. They lean more purple in coloration.

No rating. The lines themselves don't have genetic issues, but the trauma they're put through is 100% not worth it. There's very, VERY few breeders that do this ethically. I do not trust a SINGLE sylveon breed line except for albinism and melanism since those are popular for ALL eeveelutions and don't require strict sylveon/sylveon breeding.

I could honestly talk about these breed lines all day. I see them a LOT at the daycare.

Adelaide strides her way around to Maria, "Oh, hello, aren't you a dashing sight to see in the moonlight!" Her usually lazy voice peaks with interest as she observes the Umbreon, "You mentioned the moonlight affecting you, right? How mysterious. An Umbreon thing maybe? So what about during the day? A daytime alter ego? Something like a reverse werewolf?" Her tail flicks in a playful way, to show she was lightly joking with the latter questions.

"As for how it affects me... Well, it is nothing quite like that. We have been stuck in inside for the Family Conference for long enough that being beneath the moon is like drinking fresh water. Although..."

Maria ponders for a moment, stealing a few glances at the Persian. Her own ears perk up. The Umbreon finally shrugs and strides past Adelaide, speaking to her a little bit more casually.

Maria: "I suppose you would not be too far off, actually. Though, I would not expect anyone to believe the truth if I were to tell it to them. Let us just say... I am two for the price of one."

The Umbreon does not linger on the thought for long and offers a bow to Adelaide. Her polite and casual smile fades, but the gesture appears quite genuine.

Maria: "Thank you again for your sweet words. Truly, they touch my heart. I must be on my way, but... perhaps we shall see each other again someday."

I don't remember if I ever mentioned here that I was mad about toxic being removed from Umbreon's movepool in gen 8 (I remember going on that tangent on Twitter at least once) but I was so annoyed about it on multiple levels--Umbreon has repeatedly had Pokedex entries referencing its ability to spray a poisonous sweat (which some of y'all might remember me using for a fic) but toxic is the only poison-type move it's had in its arsenal, so why remove it? And also having access to curse and two options for self-healing moves (wish and moonlight) makes Umbreon a solid toxic staller and I liked doing that. Umbreon has been dear to me forever because my very first Pokemon was an Eevee that evolved into Umbreon (my beloved Eclipse), so I'm passionate about this.

Regardless, in the SV DLC it's back! And I am delighted and feel vindicated. I gave my shiny Umbreon the poison tera type ages ago and now he can terastalize just to get the sure hit on toxic fjhgf.

Bloodmoon Umbreon, Eclipse Espeon, top normal bottom shiny.

How to evolve: Bloodmoon Umbreon level up high friendship Eevee during a Bloodmoon. Eclipse Espeon level up high friendship Eevee during an Eclipse either solar or lunar eclipse.

How to obtain during main character's quest: A scientist brings one specimen from the past into the present giving the main character the choice of receiving one. Only presented by their names with no other information on them. Done in thanks to the main character helping protect the scientist from the evil team goons. Saying that the other will be promised to the Hero of the region, aka once the main character defeats the legendary pokemon the other is given to the main character. If this scientist is skipped during the storyline, it not said that the scientist will gift them to the main character though the main character is invited into the scientist's work area anytime as a part of his thanks which hunts to this, then if the main character encounters the scientist after defeating the legendary the scientist will gift both of them to the main character.

Region: A region of eternal night as scientists created plants that could grow in moonlight, though there is some places that try to create artificial lights for the plants that couldn't grow in the moonlight. The moon still changing to different fullness percents with times there is no moon visible.

Region name: Lunar region.

Type: Bloodmoon Umbreon: Dark Ghost. Eclipse Espeon: Psychic Fairy.

Ability: Bloodmoon Umbreon: Guts. Eclipse Espeon: Mind's Eye.

Description: These pokemon were originally believed to just be pieces of legend due to their rarity, thus are not currently seen as an evolution from an Eevee that is worthy in the Royal family, since no Eclipses or Bloodmoons have happened in a very long time since Eternal night arrived. Due to this if someone outside of the Royal family were to own one they do not get treated any differently than any other citizen in the region. Despite this they were pretty amazing to people back in the day when it was possible to obtain them. Believing them to be more powerful than the normal Umbreon and Espeon which is only slightly true as these pokemon do have slightly boosted stats by ten points to each stat compared to the normal Umbreon and Espeon. There was no real record of these pokemon as they were so rare that it was very hard to study them. Thus leaving them with the status of just being part of a story of the past when the sun still shone on the region. The main character can report back to the scientist that gave these pokemon to them after using these pokemon more, tracked by these pokemons friendship towards the main character, in order to earn one hundred dollars for each report then one thousand dollars if all four interactions slash updates are completed. This is only an optional side quest that does not have to be done in order to complete the region storyline.

Bloodmoon Umbreon was said in legends to have an attitude and did enjoy fighting other pokemon. Not trusting or behaving to a trainer that it does not know or have any sort of bond with outside of battles with other pokemon. Even not letting those it doesn't know to touch it or pet it in anyway. However it is also said that this is a front in order to hide its softer nature where it will become an absolute sweetheart to someone it has a good bond with it. It is even said to stay at that person's side as much as possible ready to defend that person with its life if that is needed. It is believed to be a resilient pokemon that can truly take a lot before it will actually die, die as in die forever and not fainting in battle. There is even a story of how one revealed an abusive King that was thrown into jail for abusing his own Queen. This story has been debated on whether or not it is true for a long time, actually being a true story from when one of the times it was the companion of a Queen. It is even been said that it can see in the dark helping any it cares for to navigate the dark. It is also said to be able to sense vibrations of things around it in the dark such as the movements of small pokemon in the walls. It uses this to be able to hunt in total darkness using the element of surprise to attack its prey. Said to be an exclusive carnivore with it hunting small pokemon if not fed or so it was once said. A few claimed that it did eat berries occasionally though most agree it needed meat in its diet; That any meat would do with some getting scared of being eaten by this pokemon in the dark despite that no mention of it actually ever eating a human has been mentioned. Not much is known about this pokemon outside of these legends.

Eclipse Espeon is said in legends to be a very gentle soul that will allow others to pet it however while doing so it will keep its sitting position, only leaning into the touches if it is someone it has a deep bond with. It was said to be very soft to the touch and its fur is at a length that can cover the top half of fingers before its skin is reached, except for areas where it is visibly longer on its body which can hide a whole hand. Despite its fluff in its ears it actually is said to have a great sense of hearing, said to be able to hear the call of its owner from the either side of a mountain. Able to run straight to its owner after even just one call for this pokemon to come. Some believed that its long fur or even its jewel also helps it be able to sense the sound from such a distance; There was a few who said that the fur in its ears help it to be able to expand its hearing and that the jewel is able to scan to find its owners exact location. Over the years it became more widely believed that the fur helped in its hearing and the jewel was indeed a tool used to scan for its trainer. It is said that using these abilities it can track and stalk prey from distances until its prey lowers its guard. It is said to not actually eat anything and only sucks out any liquid from its prey usually being spoken about how it sucks juice from berries. There was never really any mention that it actually drank from humans or other pokemon though at one point some were paranoid they were stalked by this pokemon for their blood. Not much is known about this pokemon outside of these legends.

Lore:

These pokemon were once given the same treatment as other friendship evolutions do in the Royal family. However as this treatment was lost when they were believed to be only legends. This pokemon also is only known from the legends of the past in this region.

Bloodmoon Umbreon was once believed to be gifted by evolution to those that need protection before it was told how it was actually evolved. It got this protector status after the incident with the abusive King happened. It was once believed that if it was owned by a Royal that it would do a favor for its owner and search in the dark for those who are missing especially children. This pokemon has been said to only have appeared a few times in history. Not much is known about this pokemon other than the legends.

Eclipse Espeon was once believed to be used by a Royal owner to watch over the kingdom while in power. It was once called as one of the most regal looking evolutions in the Eevee line. It has a preferred way to sit which it will take up more often than not. It was once even said to be a sign of hope even when something that seemed scary to those of the past such as an eclipse happens. Not much is known about this pokemon other than the legends.

Design inspiration: Animals with their tails around their paws, Squirrelflight art where her tail curls at the tip especially, Bloodmoon and Eclipses, and Scourge from Warrior cats with his collar and his claws visible in art.

Lunar region is a region that I have thought about making. I will be making more Pokémon and variants for this region.

an umbreon that was unexplainably turned into a human. it happened a long time ago, and he stopped searching for a way to turn back, but still dislike their body and would be very happy to turn back into an umbreon.

physical description:

skin tone is an unnaturally pale white. his eyes are an extremely unnatural yellow color, and black hair with yellow highlights. the left and right sides of the top of their head also point upwards, resembling an umbreon's ears, but in reality those are just really long strands of hair. the left umbreon ear hair thing is also slightly drooping. actually ears are located where human ears are, but they appear to be more pointy. has a tail, but keeps it hidden from other humans. also wears a yellow necklace.

personality:

likes to act all mysterious and edgy, but does a terrible job at it and "breaks character" very often, and is embarrassed when they get caught breaking character. is also very knowledgeable regarding pokemon moves. more personality stuff will be revealed once they are added as an actual character

random info:

their yellow necklace shines when exposed to moonlight, and causes all yellow parts of his body to become blue, resembling a shiny umbreon. the necklace stays yellow during this. the effect wears off once exposed to sunlight.

Kris!

1. Honedge/Aegislash: This is a reference to Kris's love of blades, and their knightly form in Dark Worlds. It is also a reference to their father's team in an alternate universe, and the Honedge that Chara has in Pokémon Undertale. I like to think it changes forms between worlds, becoming stronger and fully evolved in Dark Worlds so it's shield can be used to protect Kris and the people they care about.

2. Espeon☆/Umbreon☆: This Pokémon changes form depending on which world it's in at the time. It is a reference to Frisk's Eevee and to Kris's neutral-looking face. Its green colouration as shiny Espeon matches Kris in the Light World. The blue in shiny Umbreon matches their Dark World form. A lot of people consider Espeon's shiny to be ugly or weird; it resembles an alien, much in the way monsters in Hometown tend to think Kris is a freak, and how they stand out as the only Human. While Espeon is associated with sunlight and the day time, Umbreon is associated with moonlight and the night time.

3. Ralts: The same gender-neutral Pokémon shared by Chara and Frisk that can change into two different forms. For Kris, I imagine it evolves into a Gallade to reference Kris's knight-like appearance in the Dark World. As Gallade, this Pokémon fights fiercely to protect people it cares about. It would probably be one of Kris's most-used Pokémon, and would probably stay outside of its Pokéball in the Dark World to assist Kris with protecting their friends. I also like to think Gallade would look like its shiny form in the Dark World, since Gallade's shiny is blue...like Kris.

4. Applin/Flapple: A reference not only to Kris's apple-scented shampoo, but also their affinity for pie...which they apparently eat entirely in one sitting...It's a good thing Kris's childhood Applin didn't evolve into an Appletun! I think Kris was probably disappointed by that, though. Don't eat your Pokémon, Kris!! Applin's Dark World evolution, Flapple, is part dragon type, a nod to the typical "knight and dragon" dynamic. Kris is the knight, and Flapple is the dragon!

5. Gengar: A reference to Chara's Gastly, this Pokémon is associated with mischief, pranks, and hiding in the shadows. It likes to hide in dark places, and is sometimes said to be able to travel to other worlds or come from another world. It is also said to come out at night to "steal the lives of those who become lost in the mountains". It also has red eyes like Kris.

6. Alakazam: This Pokémon is not only a reference to Frisk's Abra and the need for sleep (which Kris apparently does in class quite often, accoding to Alphys), this is also a call-back to Kris researching the occult with Catti and being seemingly interested in the concept of performing magic (given their online search history), possibly in the hopes of becoming more monster-like such as the rest of their family.

As for Kris's Legendary and Mythical...let's complete what we've got going with Susie and Ralsei!

Kyogre: Kyogre is one of three ancient Pokémon, one that I imagine would be part of the Pokémon Deltarune's prophecy of the Three Heroes. It's blue like Kris and works in opposition to Susie's Groudon, but can also work with it to bring balance rather than destruction. Kyogre's water typing can reference fountains, roaring, and a sea of darkness splitting the earth and enveloping the world. It is said to sleep at the bottom of the sea.

Deoxys: This Pokémon is humanoid and comes from outer space. Its alien theming goes with Kris's Espeon, but also touches on Kris's alienation from the Monsters of Hometown (being the only Human we know of who lives there). Deoxys' ability to change forms could reference Kris's SOUL changing forms in various chapters. The stone in Deoxys' chest, which is what controls its whole body, could reference the Human SOUL in Kris's chest that controls them.

Shiny Umbreon (Moonlight Pokemon) - flagship emo cat (?), tho shiny has more fitting colours to LG's

Meowstick (Constraint Pokémon) - idk it's a cat with psychic powers that has the most similar colours to LG's

Reshiram (Vast White Pokémon) - bc again B&W PKMN games have legendaries that are the most shiguang looking~

I should be putting this on my writing account, but I don’t want that to be...too overflooded with fan fic construction posts and this could also just stand as a post(s) in of itself if I don’t get a fic going.

 For the record this is for a Laura x Travis fic, but other thought went into it. So anyway:

(Hackearney) Pokémon AU pt1 [2] [3]

Travis Hackett

Travis is pretty much the same in this AU as we’ve seen in game as well as the usual headcanons associated with him, such as the abuse. He has a different set of the usual scars in this AU ranging from basic oriented to Pokémon oriented.

Team:

Umbreon (shiny); reason for this is to keep something of a moon theme and the fact that Umbreons are the result of Eevee’s evolving under moonlight with a high friendship. The current idea is that he attained the Eevee from a police raid he assisted in a town over. Said Eevee was very hostile and eventually disappeared. When he returned to North Kill Travis discovered that it stowed away in his cruiser. It evolved into Umbreon while she and Travis were on the lake, while Travis was going over some of his woes. Umbreon is very protective of Travis. She also has a pokeball, but she’s rarely in it.

Trevenant; A decent enough summary of Trevenant’s pokedex data is hostiles to some, kind to others and that sounds like Travis. It also fits into the Hackett family Pokémon theme

Arcanine; This would be Travis’ police Pokémon and this is subject to change. Just like the idea of the NKPD having a unified Pokémon and this is Travis’ career appointed Pokémon, a classic, but again open to change.

Laura Kearney

Minor changes. Laura still wants to be a “vet” but thankfully she has more knowledge on human medical aid in this AU. Depending on what I do she’s still coming as a counselor to be the nurse or she’s moved to North Kill after getting her college degree cause its the only location with an open position for her to take work.

Team:

Lycanroc (dusk);a calm personality with the a strong fighting spirit underneath, yeah that’s Laura. Despite being known for being difficult to train Laura’s had her Lycanroc since it was a Rockruff and they click so well together.

Houndoom; One of Laura’s assignments during college had her work at Pokémon daycare. While there she made good friends with a client who gifted her a Houndour egg, which hatched and with time evolved into Houndoom. (As far as I can tell Mega Evolution isn’t restricted to Kalos) Said client also presented Laura with a Mega Bracelet and  Houndoominite.

Blissey; A rather complicated relationship. Much like Travis this is more so an occupation Pokémon, but she has partially disowned it. Laura kept Blissey through all her evolutions cause growing up she thought that a Pokémon in the Happiny lin was required. While she kept it and got it to evolve she didn’t care for seeing her as a tool only. Now Blissey is more so owned by the Pokémon center as a whole, but does go out with Laura predominantly when it comes to calls of major cases.

Indeedee; a rather unusual Pokémon to use in her profession, but Laura enjoys and grateful for what Indeedee can do. Namely being able to learn the needs of others and brining said items for the patient or for Laura to use. (currently unsure if I want her to own a female only or both genders)

AND...

This is all I really have. I do have some vague ideas of what I want to do with the other characters for their possible appearances, but I will do those in another post.

Some edits/sprites I did inspired by Pokemon Infinite Fusion. I wasn't satisfied with the Umbreon/Charizard (My 2 fav pokemons) and Umbreon/Umbreon fusions, so I tried my hand at them.

Neither of these sprites are really my own. They're basically just some heavily worked edits.

Umbrizard one has the base of a gif that comes up pretty early if you search for charizard gifs, the head of 4th gen umbreon back sprites (modified slightly) and then I took the sprite version of gigamax charizard found in the Ultimate Favourite Pokemon Picker and stole its fiery wings (slightly edited of course) to replace charizard's, since the fusion is Fire/Dark with no flying. Then the shiny version. Colors are picked from a variety of sprites of both pokemon. Normal sprite's eyes are blue and not red 'cause it makes for better contrast, plus normal charizard's eyes are blue

With the Umbreon/Umbreon one I basically said to myself "What do I love about umbreon the most" and then just overloaded it with moonlight. It's REALLY GLOWY. and its kind of meant to look blinding, hence why it's a bit overwhelming especially around the face. Te sprites are the back/front 5th gen ones in one of the middle parts of the animation for both, fixed to better fit. The pose was inspired by Crystal's Umbreon, which goes hard as fuck.

I am not an artist and I don't expect to work on any other sprites ever in my life but you know how ADHD hyperfixations can be.

This is the sort of shit I should be posting to tumblr rather than twitter, but I'm still struggling to stay active here despite it being a far more pleasant experience.
