The first stage of Multnomah Falls as seen from the Benson Footbridge. The boulder to the right of the falls is SUV sized. It fell into the pool decades ago and covered a wedding party on the bridge in mud.
The mist from the falls was so dense I was only able to get a couple quick shots off before my lens misted over.
By Ken James: This was another one of those days where I was apprehensive to go out because it was just cold and rainy. If there's any advice I could give newbies, it would be to not look for perfect conditions, push through it, and go out anyway. I've never regretted going out to photograph, but I have definitely regretted not going out, like when the clouds break and you see a burner sunset, but by then, it's too late.
